Expert Drain Cleaning in Normal, IL

We are not satisfied with how our plumbing was handled. We called Tiger Plumbing for two drains not draining properly after multiple attempts with draino. The kid that came out to do the repairs didn't know if he could use a tool and he told us he had to call his boss. The kid also said that we have cast iron pipes that are rotting from the inside out and that they need to replace everything. He had it pulled up on his tablet and it was just a Google image. Without even trying to identify the real problem or find the actual cause of the blockage. No, we have cast iron pipes we need to replace them and that "should" fix your problems. We were given two options. Spend $4000 for a temporary fix or spend $8000 for them to replace all of the pipes. This is not a home that we are planning on staying in for very long so we went the $4000 route and they told us it would only be under warranty for a year. When they came to do that work, they tore up our wall because they said the access panel was not big enough. They took out the tiles from our shower and told us that we would have to fix the tiles and fix the wall on the other side with a big whole in it. They don't do that kind of work. You would think that all of our drain problems would be over right now, but no. The bathroom sink is still not draining so they will send another guy out to come and fix it. The kid was not filled in on why he was there and the fact that we had already paid to have that drain fixed. He charged us again. He looked at our pipes and said he needed to call his boss. They determined they needed a stronger tool to get the sink drain so we were told another guy would come the next day. At this point, our toilet pipe started to leak in the basement. They were going to look at that also when they came. The toilet leak was part of the new pipes from the $4000 work that they had done two days ago. They came to fix it when we were both at work because this has been a five day process and we both have jobs. We came home to a mess. There was what we are assuming to be sewage water, all over our basement, washing machine, dryer, laundry, floor, detergent, etc. They hadn't bothered cleaning it up or even mentioning the fact that they left that mess for us. All in all, I do NOT recommend this company for anything plumbing related. They take advantage of people. These kids don't know what they're doing. They have to call their boss each time because they don't know what to do. They are told to tell everyone that the problem is cast iron pipes and sell their $8000 project without actually fixing your problem. I have a friend who went through the exact same situation with this company. Please consult someone else before settling with them!

How can a plumbing company not work or service a tankless water heater cause they didn't install it but yet came out and repaired my ac unit and my furnace which they also did not install. Not happy with this service especially since im paying a monthly subscription.and to top it off everything he said it could was read off Google. Do not use this service. Wanted over $7000 for a new one to be installed yet thst cost 1200 when we got it the first time this place is a scam company profiting off of bs. Always get a second opinion before booking with this company. BTW all my water heated needed was a new ignition switch great job guys. Smh.

Rescheduled on me 3 times, 3 different days. When someone shows up, they tell me they aren't the one to do the repair and it'll have to be someone else on another day to fix the leaking sink valve. Kicked him out and called another plumber who will be here within the hour. Poor communication throughout the whole thing. Promising and not delivering.

Jonathan and Nick were very professional and explained everything to us. I was so impressed by the service completed. They were very friendly as well and I was so happy they accepted credit card since I hardly carry cash. We will continue to utilize New Way Drain cleaning in the future.

Jonathan and Nick saved us so much money. They were professional and very knowledgeable. I wish we would have called them first. Jonathan and Nick came to my Mom's house to look at our sewer line because we were having backup in our basement. NEWWAY was able to scope the sewer line and determine the issue and clean out the drain. Another company told us that we had a collapsed pipe and the job was going to be $26,000. There was NOT any collapsed pipe. Thank you Jonathan and Nick for helping my Mom...and being great at what you do. Honesty and Integrity are two words that describe you both.

We had NewWay Drain Cleaning come out to look at our drains because they were backing up into the house. Nick and Jonathan were great to work with! They were very clear and transparent with what work needed to be done. They were also really quick to respond to our call and were out to our house soon after. Highly recommend them!

Great experience!! I can’t thank Richard (the owner) enough for all he did for me! I made an emergency call on a major holiday at 10:00 pm and he promptly returned my call and spent a considerable amount of time helping me over the phone to diagnose the problem. He even offered to come to my house the same night but we delayed it until the next day as we knew the situation was stabilized. He came out the next day and helped unclog my sewer line and gave me a very reasonable price. I thought he was very genuine and knowledgeable and truly cared about my situation. I called Richard for help installing my bath and shower faucets. He was on the road but reviewed pictures of my faucet and gave me a call with very clear instructions on how to do it myself. I actually had the wrong heads so he advised me to go to the store and told me exactly which faucet I needed to avoid having a plumber come out for something simple. He was very kind and generous in sharing his expertise and I am so thankful!! He did offer to come do it for me but it wouldn't have been until the next day or so (which I then wouldn't have water for a day). So thankful for good business men like Richard!! He truly cared!

Seriously, if I could give this company more than 5 stars, I would in a heartbeat! They are exceptional in customer service! I've had a few issues with a property we own in Bloomington. We own the house & have a home warranty company to supposedly provide repair or replacement to the appliances. We have had issues with our washer, furnace & now, hot water heater. Of course the furnace issues were during winter! The house is older, yes, but that's why we had the home warranty companyto begin with. Well, that home warranty company is not getting one more dime of our money! D&R Plumbing, Heating and Air will be our repair or replace company for the rest of the time we own our house! I had a new heat pump system installed. Also, the plenum under the house that the ducts come out from was rusty and nasty and Mike fabricated a nice new shiny replacement. He and his team were very professional and smoothly efficient and I liked how they were not working in a frenzy like they had better things to do than install my unit. Brent did excellent work setting up and connecting the outside unit and crawling around under the house with Eric(?) putting in the new drain line. They all tolerated me being bored and asking questions and checking up on them. The final job was neat, clean and tidy. Since there is an option for photos then here are some photos. 😀 I certainly recommend them.

I had a great experience with Edelman’s. I was looking to get an EV charger installed with a new circuit ran out to my garage and they offered a very reasonable price. All the people I dealt with were super nice and easy to talk to. They took any concerns I had seriously and were able to come up with an install plan that fit my needs perfectly. On the day of the install the electrician, Eli, did a great job walking me through and explaining everything they were going to do, and a few hours later everything was up and running. There were only a few minor hang ups that they had to deal with during the install and he made sure to communicate exactly what they were and how they could resolve them, with my permission. Overall, I’m very satisfied with the service I was provided and would definitely consider utilizing them again in the future.

The service was professional, thorough, and completely hassle-free. Kyle arrived early, communicated clearly, and spent over an hour on a detailed inspection of our 10-year-old heat pump system. He checked refrigerant levels, electrical components, coils, drain line, blower motor, thermostat accuracy, and more—explaining everything in plain language and sharing photos of his findings. No pressure sales, just honest feedback: the system is running efficiently and should last another 5–8 years with regular care. He suggested only two minor, optional items (UV bulb next spring and a small duct seal), both reasonably priced. He left the area spotless, provided a clear digital report, and showed me a few useful tips for monitoring the system myself. Outstanding service—honest, knowledgeable, and customer-focused. Another Excellent experience this time with Zach. We had our pilot light go out on our hot water heater on Thanksgiving day!! Zach took the time and worked around his family dinner to cme on out so that we could have hot water for our family that was arriving that day. I'm so grateful!! Kyle was very thorough and answered every question I had & I had ALOT of questions about various issues/ areas.There was a lot of corrosion & debris and he did a wonderful job cleaning it out. I was concerned about possible natural gas and carbon dioxide leak & he made sure both were checked even calling a coworker nearby to bring co2 monitor. He was great!!! My furnace and air conditioner is over 30 years old, as part of the yearly maintenance review, Kyle did a great job calling out the possible concerns with the old unit. He came by a few days later and walked me through step by step the issues and already had options ready for me to look at. Kyle is easy to talk to and I appreciate his sales style. After adjusting a few things I was happy to purchase a new furnace and air conditioner. Last year I bought a water heater from Summers and was happy to stick with them for HVAC also. The best part is they will install next Wednesday. Can't wait to count up those savings from a more efficient system.

We wound up having a major and unexpected project replacing our entire sewer line in our old home after it was discovered that the nearly century old clay line had partially collapsed and became clogged…underneath a very long concrete driveway, of course. While this was not at all how I wanted to start 2026, Hunter and Andrew did a great job of explaining our options and answering all our questions. This could have easily turned into an expensive, nightmare if we had hired the wrong crew. Instead it wound up being a weirdly kind of fun and enjoyable experience hanging out with these guys for a few days. They never flinched at me staring over their shoulders, cracking stupid jokes, and pretending to help. They worked late multiple days, worked in cold rain, and probably missed a few meals without even mentioning it. Most importantly they did the job very well and got us hooked back up very quickly. Highly recommended!

Platinum Plumbing responded to our sink emergency upon calling first thing Monday morning for help. Dalton was knowledgeable, quick, and lightened the mood with welcomed humor (as any home service can be pricey and cause tension). We were provided several package options to fit our needs, and the sink was fixed same day. Super grateful for their service!

Tony and his son replaced all of my galvanized pipes with copper. They did a wonderful job. Very pleasant and easy to work with and the price was more than reasonable.

Our water heater was leaking and after getting price estimates from 5 companies, we went with A-1. They were reasonably priced, efficient, and respectful. We appreciate their service.

Overall happy with the service! However, just a heads-up for others—if you have carpet, put something down first. Our path to the water heater got pretty dirty and it was left like that.

Kent was the absolute best! We reached out on a Sunday the day before a Holiday. They advised they were booked and couldn’t get us in until Tuesday. Monday (On The Holiday) late morning Kent reached out and asked if we were able to find some to help us out with our drain, if not he had a cancellation and he could come out. Had an issue with my sink filling up instead of draining. Nichols fixed it and was very friendly. You can communicate with them via text or call. They also contacted me before they arrived which is both exceptionally helpful and rare! If you're having a problem give theses guys a call!

Kent Nichols is the drain king. I've never been more impressed with a service of any kind. He's been doing this for almost thirty years and it shows. Before I knew about Nichols Sewer and Drain I obtained a few quotes from other big names in the area. Kent was less than half of what I was quoted. He doesn't try to tack on extra services and he's a straight shooter. The quality of his work and equipment can not be matched. He snakes the drain 2-3 times just to make sure he got everything out. He puts a warranty behind his work too. Nichols Sewer and Drain is who you need for your Drain clean out. I promise you that you'll be impressed.
