Expert Drain Cleaning in Peoria, Illinois

FRAUD! FRAUD! FRAUD! Had a backed up basement drain. They couldn't clear it, and sent a camera down it. Said there was a hole in my sewer line under my floor. Charged me $5400 (up front before the job was started). Tore up my basement floor, the guy said the tech that marked the spot to dig marked it in the wrong location. Replaced what they said was a hole in the line, covered it with concrete and left. 2hrs later when I did laundry, my entire basement filled with 3" of standing water!! They told me 'sometimes when we repair a line, we then need to flush it out. We can Hydrojet it for $1500 for you. After the Hydrojet it worked for a week. Now back to the same issue. I called the City of Peoria and found out that they are not legally allowed to dig in Peoria and their plumbing license is in the process of being revoked for fraud and negligent services. I now have a REAL company coming this week to do the repair. Come to find out, the collapsed line is in my front yard NOT even my basement. So since they aren't allowed to dig in Peoria County any longer, they said the hole in the line was in the basement so they could charge me. My current plumbing company saw where they tore up my basement floor and laughed saying every house they service...they do the same spot. FRAUD! Today I filed a case with the Illinois Attorney General's office and another claim with the Peoria BBB to get my money back. I have also written to the Peoria Journal Star editor and WMBD News. In case those options aren't successful, I have Attorney on retainer with all the text conversations and correspondence, including a text saying they would that Hydrojet for FREE if I would give them a 5 Star Google Review!!! Well...here's your review guys. And it won't be deleted until my $5400 is refunded either voluntarily or in court. Pictures below show where they tore up my basement floor to replace the line that WASN'T broken and a picture of where the break is OUTSIDE where they are prohibited by the City of Peoria to dig.

Initially my experience was excellent up until work got partially done on 2/6/26. They completed replacing the piping outside but failed to clean and sanitize area by the drain in the basement. When asked before they left, was told they would get something scheduled for the cleaning which never happened. They also broke a window while replacing the piping outside, which they said they would take care of. I told them yes, you will be. A team was supposed to come out 2/16, which I made arrangements to be home and no one showed. Since then I have been calling/texting the lead technician of this project with no response. I have been calling the company everyday sometimes twice a day since last week. This morning I was on hold and then my call ended and called back and of course no one was available. The receptionist I spoke to told me someone called the team to see what was going on with the window. Well they also didn't finish the job! Supposedly getting a phone call today by this person even though last several days someone was supposed to call me and didn't. I am always calling back just to not get a scheduled time for the completion of job and to replacement of our window that their men broke!! I'm extremely frustrated and disappointed in Mr ROOTER and their employees. My next step will be to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

I had amazing service Damien did an excellent job unclogging our drains. He was polite, respectful, and very professional throughout the entire process. Excellent service by Nathan! Knowledgeable, considerate, conscientious, pleasant, and professional. Additionally, when he arrived, he told me that he had a migraine headache, and I could see his pain. During the appointment he did not become cranky or short with me because of his migraine....and I asked a lot of questions. He was conscious of a potential mess when scoping and cleaning drains and took measures to minimize drips and spillage. When I asked him to wipe his feet before entering my home after he had walked in the snow, there was NO push back...he obliged willingly. He answered all my questions thoroughly and intelligently. Above and beyond happy with services provided. We had two other companies out for our backed up sewer line. One never followed through or came back, the other pretty much gave up and quoted us work in the THOUSANDS of dollars range. Nathan was fantastic and determined to get the problem taken care of - which he succeeded at. He is great at explaining the how's and why's for issues with our home and how we should maintain our lines from now on.

Such quick turn around when our basement backed up! When other companies told us we would have to wait 1-2 days before they could assist Rooter-Matic responded and had someone at our door in an hour! As a family with 7 kids and multiple others in and out we were beyond grateful for the quick response and fix! They assessed, fixed and cleaned up their mess seamlessly! Thank you Rooter-Matic!

Needed all new kitchen faucet and supply lines, as well as new drain basket. Called on Eric Salzer, who has plumbed at my home on numerous occasions. As usual, he was prompt, courteous and performed excellent work at fair price.

I can't recommend Salzer plumbing enough. The person my daughter bought the house from was charged over 10k last year to replace a majority of the 4"main line inside, I couldn't believe one of the drains were not even falling the right way. Eric showed up promptly, corrected 3 issues in 2hrs and I had to insist he take more than he charged. Thx Eric!!

Salzer has completed two jobs for us. He’s experienced and his work has been solid. We haven’t had any issues and would use him again.

I would like to thank and recommend this company for any residential or commercial plumbing and/or clean up issues. This past Christmas while hosting family my basement drainage backed up and proceeded to flood my basement. Roto-Rooter responded within hours and was on site to begin mitigation and clean up. Every single member on that team were polite, pleasant and helpful. The on site supervisor a Mr. Ellis was such an outstanding Individual, he was patient, accessible, and transparent through the whole process. He helped with our insurance claim and the adjuster. Mr. Ellis helped ensure our claim was approved and now all damages to our basement has been financially covered fully, nearly $25,000 worth. I am not a paid bot, look at my profile im a railroader and retired military. I just felt compelled to let the local community know when a company seems to actually give a damn about its customers. I thank them all for the level of professionalism and kindness they showed, and highly recommend them.

They did a great job. I had lots of questions and they answer all of them promptly. They called 10 to 15 minutes before their arrival and they would stay for the entire day to make sure they could get done with they needed to. Communication amongst their colleagues and myself was great. I would recommend them I think they did a great job and the amount of time that they had they squeezed every minute they had in to get it done.

I had fantastic service and a walkthrough of the various issues that could be causing the concerns we had with our sewer line. They did not leave until they had figured it out, and I truly am thankful for that. They were great about giving me tips on how to prevent future issues, and I appreciate their straightforward, honest responses.

My appointment was scheduled within a reasonable amount of time. The plumber showed up on time and worked very hard to clear my frozen kitchen drain pipe. He was unable to get it open, but he did work hard and gave me advice on how to keep working at it to melt the ice myself. The ice buildup was worse than we thought, and the drain was not properly plumbed so it was near impossible to get the snake down. The very kind gentleman came out again and worked on it, redid the way the pipes were fitted together, validated that it is ice stopping the drain, and gave instructions on how to get the ice melted. The gentleman I worked with, Caleb and Maximus, we’re so very kind and accommodating. I definitely will call on them again as needed and would recommend them to anyone.

Zach, the plumber, as soon as he came in the house put footies on to protect my floors. He installed a new disposal and set of faucets for my utility sink. He seemed very knowledgeable and install both of them within 2 hours which I thought was very fair.

I called today about my floor drain and utility sink drain being really slow in the basement. They were able to come same day and we’re in and out within half an hour. Really pleased with the service, highly recommend them!!

We had them out in February to unclog our basement drain. They spent less than 10 minutes doing it which was weird and said it was fixed. When I went down to check myself and look at the ring camera they didn’t seem to do very much and I noticed that it was still pretty clogged. I saw the good reviews and decided to trust them. Wrong! Paid $125 for them to not fix anything. We contacted the city twice just in case it wasn’t on our end and the city was kind enough to do a flush and check on their end. Unfortunately it is on our end so sewer water keeps coming up our drain now that it is rainy season. Definitely will not be paying for a service I was told that was fixed and is not since my basement is flooded with sewer water!

We asked them to come out to snake our bathtub drain. The only thing that they did was wiggle the tub lever and removed some hair by hand. Our tub drained a bit better but we had asked for them to snake it since it's an older house and we don't have a cover on the drain. We could have removed whatever hair we could by hand - that's why we wanted a plumber to come out and have it snaked. I spoke to who I assume is the owner and explained the situation and he insisted that his guy that had come out (the owner had not been in attendance, it was his employee) definitely snaked the drain. He also said that they removed the tub lever and went in and snaked. This is impossible because there is still old glue around the tub lever. I insisted that he had not done what we had asked him to and he offered to come out at 8:15 a.m. on that following Saturday and I told him yes that we would be available. Saturday came around and he did not show. I would definitely NOT recommend this company. It seems that his "right hand man" is not completing jobs and will most likely continue to lie about it. So we spent $120 for them to do what we could have done ourselves. *edit* As suspected, the clog is an issue again and it’s clear that nothing was actually done!! $120 wasted.

Billy and his team did an excellent job installing a new septic system for our home. From start to finish, the communication was clear and we always felt informed about what was happening. Billy responded quickly to our calls and took the time to answer all our questions, making sure we understood every step of the process. Miguel, who operated the backhoe, was very skilled, and the rest of the crew was friendly and helpful with any concerns we had. The project was finished on schedule and within the estimated budget. The pricing was fair, and the quality of the plumbing work was outstanding. We are very satisfied and highly recommend this team for any septic or plumbing needs.

Last night, I found out there was a gas leak coming from the pipe under my cooktop. I managed to turn off the gas valve, but I was pretty worried and couldn't get any sleep. First thing in the morning, I called a local plumber in Peoria to see if they could help. The lady who answered the phone was super friendly and professional. Even though they were really busy, she understood it was important and got me on the schedule for same-day service. Billy and Miguel arrived right on time. They quickly found where the leak was coming from, replaced the gas line, and made sure everything was safe. The whole repair took about 30 minutes. They double-checked their work and even shared some tips to help prevent future gas leaks. I really appreciate how fast they responded, how kind they were, and that the price was fair. These plumbers really helped my family out in a stressful situation.

We had a slab leak at our house in Peoria and needed a plumber to help out. We decided to just get it fixed, but after thinking about how old our place is (over 40 years), we realized it was better to just repipe everything and save ourselves more trouble down the road. After checking out a lot of recommendations and reviews, we went with G/K Plumbing. miguel came out really fast to give us an estimate and explained everything, including how long it would take and what the steps would be. The whole process was smooth, and the team worked well together, from the office to the guys doing the plumbing. They were organized and made sure we always knew what was going on. The worksite was kept clean and tidy the whole time. Later, we had a problem with our sewage line, and their crew handled that too. i liked that they could take care of everything so we didn’t have to call around for another plumber. Their warranty gives us peace of mind, and hopefully, we won’t need another big plumbing job for many years.

Needed 130' sewer line ran. The crew that was out to excavate and do the hob were awesome! Ive had bad plumbers this was fresh air! Bug job got nore than my moneys worth . Definitely recomend them if you enjoy quality work by soilid dudes!

Tiger replaced my water heater in March of 2023. I just started having issues with it not heating water and it was throwing up an error code. I called them and set an appointment to have someone come out and look at it. I thought it would be under warranty but they told me the warranty for this model is 6 years for the tank, 1 year parts and labor. Since my issue was not with the tank itself, it would not be under warranty. The tech came on time and diagnosed that the issue was likely a faulty control valve. He quoted me about $1400 for parts and labor to replace it. The price seemed high to me so I called a different company who looked up my model # and advised me the part is still covered under warranty and they had it in stock. I would only have to pay for labor. Previous to this, I would have given them 3 stars. Their work has been fine and the techs are alway courteous and professional. They seem to be more interested in selling you on their yealry maintenace program than anything else. On that I blame the companies management, not the techs themselves. Tiger either intentionally misrepresented the warranty terms for my water heater, or just didnt know any better. Either way I'll be taking my business elsewhere. To anyone considering using Tiger, I would recommend you get a second opinion before signing any contracts.

Gale was right on time, friendly, and knowledgeable. He provided several options during our estimate and gave an honest opinion about recommendations best suited for our needs as opposed to simply pushing us towards the highest cost option. Would recommend having him come out any time.

Plans are to install a water heater, a water softener and a water line to the refrigerator on Monday. Services to be done and products were explained well. All services completely in a very thorough and professional way. Dylan and the crew did an awesome job! Seventy plus year old house had unknown age faucet that was beginning to drip. Initial person assessed all house plumbing and offered multiple options and solutions including possible repair of existing faucet, replacement of existing faucet, and additional options for more extensive plumbing. Existing faucet was beyond repair so replacement was required as well as new feed lines with relocated shut off valves. All of this was clearly explained in advance of actual work and agreed to. All employees were courteous and efficient, concentrated on performing their work and cleaned up afterwards. Removal of old and installation of new was completed in less than two hours. Photographs are of the finished work. We are very pleased with the work and the interaction with all of the employees.

Arnold and Sons were quick to come and give me an estimate. Robert wrote up an estimate with options. He was friendly and explained all the work they are planning doing. He is knowledgeable and professional. Prices are reasonable and the work is getting done tomorrow. Great job. Update: Kendrick, Katie and Nate did their magic and completed all of the work. I had one little issue and they jumped right in it and had it fixed quickly. Great crew!

Dropped everything late in the day on a Saturday to fix our backed up kitchen sink. Price was super reasonable for day/time/speed of arrival. Highly recommend.

I am so thankful for Monte coming out during the coldest day with blizzard conditions with same day service. He was very kind and worked quickly to rectify issues with plumbing and gave suggestion for future work that needs to occur to prevent any further issues. Had water coming up from sink in basement and tub upstairs. Called Monty and he came right over. He did an awesome job and was very knowledgeable and professional. Very reasonably priced too. He had the problem fixed in no time. I highly recommend this company.
