Expert Drain Cleaning in Champaign, IL

On Super Bowl Sunday I noticed that drains appeared to be plugged. I called the emergency number and a tech named Hayden showed up a few hours later. He said the sewer line appeared to be plugged. He did what he could but said it appeared that the line was plugged 60 feet out and said we would have to have someone out the next day. I was charged $514 for that service which I paid. On Monday I met the Field supervisor Scott. He said they it appeared the line was clogged about 80 feet out. He located the clog and said it would require a “dig”. He said the cost would be $6678.32. At that point I asked him if there would be any discounts available ? I told him that I had heard the owner sometimes gives discounts to Veterans or Seniors. I am both. Also, the website says “discounts available” . After I pleaded my case he said there would be no discounts available. So not having much of a choice I told them to proceed. They found that the line had frozen and broken and they ended up fixing it on Tuesday afternoon. When they refilled the hole it was a little low so today they finally came out to finish it. The people I dealt with, Hayden, Scott, the original construction crew, and finally today Jamarcus and Rio were all nice to deal with and very customer oriented. Further, I am very pleased that the problem was fixed and the service was fast and efficient. I would have rated this 5 stars except I really believe the charges were excessive at a final cost of $7,192.

Our technician did a fantastic job of changing out our garbage disposal at a reasonable price. Scheduling the appointment was easy, and I had someone in my home within 24 hours to do the job. Would highly recommend!

I had a fantastic experience with Colton and Aidan. They came out and did a sewer inspection for my buyers and were very informative. After Aiden dug it up, Colton explained how it works at what they were looking for. A few days later they got the water test back and it was a clean test. Thanks for a great experience. I would recommend using Schoonover sewer service!

Found a clogged kitchen sink on a sunday morning. Called Schoonover and within the hour the technician was there and snaked out my drain and fixed the problem. Both the phone attendant and technician (James) were very friendly. Also liked that James cleaned up any mess and also was very sociable. Will use again when needed.

My sister-in-law had problems with a plugged sanitary line. She got the runaround from another company- Jason from Schoonover came right out- was professional and courteous and quickly diagnosed and cleared the blockage. Through the process of purchasing my home, {inspection, repairs and replacement of fixtures and leaks, leach field and drainage pitch) Shane from the jump was insightful, knowledgeable and very interested in looking out for me and my daughters during the inspection. Then moving forward with my purchase I found more issues with many areas of concern... All were addressed by Shane and he then got Wade involved in the repairs. When I say these guys are in it with you, I truly mean it. I never felt like I was being taken advantage of, the price was very reasonable and always answered questions with great understanding of what was needed and why... I am a come back customer and I will keep Mr Rooter as my current and future services... You guys are awesome! Big thanks to Shane and Wade!

I cancelled our services with this company due to complete unprofessionalism and the lies they spun. The first call the tech was about 2 hours late. They did not call us to inform of the delay. We've had to call every time for a status update. The tech couldn't find a clog so said we needed a camera service. The day after Shane came out, he was scheduled from 1pm to 3pm and didn't arrive until after 7pm. Again no contact from them to tell us of the delays. Shane was very personable but the company he works for is not. He said he couldn't find a clog but his camera was hitting something hard between 5 to 10 feet down. That it may be a collapsed pipe. He quoted us 4500.00 and guaranteed that with their excavation crew they wouldn't be late. Well here we are and the we're scheduled for 8am and at 11am they are still not here. We did some research and found out other customers have had very bad experiences with this company, many scary reviews. So I called and said we're cancelling the work. We called the loan company and stopped the payment. They make you pay half upfront and then didn't show up for hours. I'm disabled and my animals have been locked in a room for hours waiting on them to show up. This is very hard on me. Well I spoke with Kelly and she kept over talking me and my Mom. We explained why we were cancelling and asked for the email address to send the cancellation in writing. She kept over talking us and said they can cancel for us but want to know why we're cancelling. We had already told her several times why. She didn't care about anything but trying to bully us into working with them. They will push you into getting financing without even assuring you that the know for certain what the issue is. I told her that she could stop the spiel and provide me the email I was asking for and she called me rude!!! Really! She also said that the bad reviews should be taken with a grain of salt 🧂 wow 😲. No ma'am those are real people that you've screwed over, so I will not take them with a grain of salt. So glad we cancelled with this company. I hope this helps save someone else in the future just like the bad reviews helped reassure me I was making the right decision by cancelling. After how they treated us over the phone I know I made the right decision. This is thousand of dollars and we recently bought this house. I can't have a company with terrible business practices tearing apart my living room floor and my plumbing. They don't even show up on time and communicate when they won't. They just want the sale, once they've gotten that first half and are working, you are at their mercy. People often prey on the elderly and disabled, well not this time. 🙏 The photo is of another review from a guy that went through nearly exactly the same scenario as we are.

Mr rooter always answered their phones and they were always friendly and helpful. Their workers were knowledgeable and personable. Shane and Travis were great! They snaked my lines and alleviated my problems. But there whole communication system was absolutely horrible and extremely frustrating. They did not make 2 appointments and did not bother to inform me. I sat for hours waiting just to call and find it was switched so i could wait again.

I am very happy with Lanz plumbing services. My garbage disposal broke last night and my sink was not draining. I called them this morning and they sent a plumber very quickly. The plumber I worked with was Sam and he was very competent and professional and did well in analyzing the problem, communicating the possible solutions, and fixing the issue once we agreed upon the solution. I will definitely call them again if I have any problems with my plumbing or my HVAC.

OK , thanks. I couldn't figure out how to do this. Gerald did a thorough, excellent job finding the leak, taking pictures and capping off the lines. As well as removing the drinking fountain that was the cause of the water leak. We appreciate Lanz great , prompt service. Thanks again Gerald !

When in the process of selling my house, I was informed my sewer line inside my house had a major crack on the cast iron pipe (original from when the house was built) I called Castle Heating & Air (who replaced my whole HVAC in 2024) and they sent a plumber by the name of Sean. The crack was more severe than expected around a Y-joint that led underground to a cast iron hub. Thankfully, due to Sean's hard work and determination, he was able to cut out the Y-joint and dig down to the hub without digging up much concrete, or cracking the cast iron hub. By far the most skilled plumber I've had the pleasure of hiring, and will use Castle Heating & Air again in the future! Huge thanks to this company, and Sean!

Big shout out to Castle Heating & Air Conditioning! Our furnace blower was freaking out and we had a crack in our heating something or other 😬 they came out, did a thorough inspection, gave us a fair quote and installed the day after! Our furnace was from 1995 and was “a real beast” to get out 😅 but these guys stayed late and made sure we were up and running! They even brought their own mats to keep floors clean! 😍 Highly recommend this team! From their receptionist Shelly, Bob the sales man and Austin and Jason their install guys we received top notch customer service!

Sean was so great. He did his very best with my plumbing problem and I had the estimate before he left. Such a nice guy! I haven't had any repairs yet but will update when I do.

We requested Josh P. based on our experience with him when he came out for the initial assessment. He performed outlet and switches work and checked on a possible bathroom outlet problem w/an accompanying quote. Very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable experience as always. Highly recommend.

Just moved into a new home and started hearing popping noises coming from the water heater. After having it checked out, we found out the unit was 23 years old, so I decided it was best to replace it rather than risk a failure. James was incredibly helpful throughout the process. He explained everything clearly, made the replacement easy, and answered all of my questions. The experience was smooth enough that I even signed up for their membership plan. Overall, a great experience and I really appreciated the professionalism and honesty.

Alex was great! He was very polite, professional and didn’t mind me watching and asking questions while he worked. This is the first time I have worked with MATTEX. And they came through assisting me with my emergency. They were all very helpful and updated me throughout the day when they would arrive. I would highly recommend them.

I cannot more highly recommend 217. I’ve used them for multiple projects, big and small, commercial and residential. All services under one roof takes the headache out of big projects especially. Their communication (and honesty!) is top notch, so you always know what you’re getting (and when to expect them). These guys have consistently amazed me in an industry that rarely even shows up on time. Not 217. Went with 217inc to replace a broken water service line. They were super communicative and broke down exactly what the problem was. I cant give enough praise to 217 Inc.! They were contacted by the radio station WIXY and told we were in desperate need of a ventilation system for our non profit cat cafe/lounge The Kitty Crib. They not only responded promptly BUT they fulfilled our need with installing a brand new system in one day! 217Inc. Absorbed the entire cost!! With us being a non profit, 501 (c)3 and rescuing dogs and cats that are on euthanasia lists, handicapped and disabled, most of our money goes towards vet bills. The fact that 217Inc. I've done business with Edelman for years and have always been happy with their service. This is my first experience using them for plumbing work. I had two new toilets installed and they look great!. Jim and Tyler did a great job, were very professional and also gave some recommendations for maintenance and other upgrades.

The electrician arrived promptly and the job was completed quickly and professionally. Very impressed with the job from first phone call to the company to the finished job. I had a ceiling fan and light installed on my lofted ceiling and he even took the old fixtures and boxes away. I will definitely keep their number for future uses!!

We have had plumbers and HVAC workers here multiple times on various projects. All of the men were very professional each time they were here.They work diligently and make sure the job is done timely and done very well. Matt and Jayden were here when we had all new plumbing installed and for part of our remodel as well. Matt has been back a few more times for all the remodel projects. Very kind, hard working men. Dan and Andy are both great too. They work hard to get their men here as quickly as we need them. We highly recommend CU Plumbing and CU HVAC!

***Edited on 3/10: I have made several attempts to speak with someone at CU plumbing. No one will return my phone calls. All I need is an invoice that shows that I paid them $280 on 2/10 for coming to my home. It’s been a month. They have been paid but cannot return my phone calls or at least send me a detailed invoice. I’m very disappointed in this company. I wouldn’t recommend them at all. Customer service is extremely lacking.*** The faucet in my walk-in bathtub broke. Actually, the handle for the hot water on the faucet broke off and water was leaking. It was an urgent issue and CU Plumbing was the only Plumbing company that showed concern about my situation. I am blessed that they sent plumbers to my home as soon as possible. I spoke with Brianna in the office. She was extremely helpful and professional. She was my first contact with CU Plumbing and she left a lasting impression. This is the person you want working the frontlines for your company. Brianna kept me updated with the ETA arrival time of the crew that was coming that day. ***EDITED: once Brianna found out that I rented my home, she treated me entirely different. I am still the person who paid the bill in full. She knows that I need an invoice in order to get reimbursed by my landlord.*** The plumbers showed up on time and were friendly and polite. They were respectful of my home and cleaned up after themselves. I appreciate that they took the time to explain my options to me. It was refreshing to have everything explained in detail. They are getting a quote together for the work that needs to be done. I was extremely impressed with CU Plumbing and I highly recommend them!

Roto-Rooter was a great choice, They gave me an ETA and showed up within the time frame. Dakota told us what was wrong and gave us our repair options. He was friendly, and knowledgeable. Job was completed quickly also and price was a lot lower then we expected to pay. Will definitely be using this service in the future if needed.

Had a busted pipe from the outdoors faucet and also leaked between 2 bedrooms … Brandon the restoration specialist came out explained to me everything they would do ! Next the plumber same day … next day the restoration completion ! Very friendly !
