Expert Drain Cleaning in Alabaster, AL

My wife and I moved to Chelsea from Montgomery in June 2023. Back home we had a longstanding, reliable plumber we totally trusted. Once here, it took us two more years of using plumbers whose work may have been sufficient, but the way they conducted themselves left us worried that we’d been taken advantage of (we’re in our 70’s). Last year we decided to hire Mr. Drippy to fix a nagging problem created by one of the previous plumbers, which they did. But it was how they went about their work so thoroughly and professionally that convinced us we’d found *our* forever plumber. I called them three days ago to fix a HUGE problem with our sump pump and drain line. Their plumber, Gene Short (with 19yrs experience), started and finished the job today. He fixed what seemed impossible with confidence and assurance. He identified the problem, told me his plan of approach, gave me a fair job quote, and finished it as planned and quoted. No sticker shock. And he actually left our basement better than I’d left him. I totally trust Mr. Drippy and I’ll gladly tell anyone that they’re OUR plumber! Thanks, Gene (and Erin!).

12/2024: 10 out of 10. Jonathan came to help with another clogged drain line. In the same time it took to clear a clog last time, he was able to clear the clog, show me a video of the drain line, and replace my sump pump. He’s by far the best technician I’ve had for any kind of work at my house! If you need a plumber, Jonathan is the one to ask for. Jessica - who quoted my work - was clear over the phone and was able to provide a very competitive rate for the work. I’ll be sticking with Mr Drippy in the future. 1/2024: They sent Jay Jay out to fix a full clog in our bathroom drain line that and he was great! Took a bit of time, but Jay Jay got everything cleared out and was incredibly friendly and professional. The first thing they tried didn’t work, but the second did - and I was only charged for what fixed it. I’d be happy to call Mr. Drippy or Jay Jay again in the future.

🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 I cannot say enough great things about Mr. Drippy Plumbing off Lorna Road in Hoover, Alabama! From start to finish, the experience was absolutely top-notch. I was scheduled for a service window between 8:30–10:00 AM this past Friday, and right at 8:00 AM I received a confirmation call from Laura, which I really appreciated. Even better, Pierce arrived promptly, just after 8:30AM and appeared extremely professional and ready to get to work. Pierce was extremely respectful, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. I showed him the issues I was having with a toilet and two sinks, and he carefully explained what was going on in a way that made complete sense. He stepped back out to his van to coordinate with Laura on pricing, and within minutes had clear, straightforward options with numbers for me on how we could approach the problems. The pricing was very reasonable, and they even offered bundling discounts, which made it an incredible value! (Especially for the level of professionalism and quality service they provide.) It is rare to find a company where you genuinely feel comfortable having someone in your home, but that’s exactly how I felt with Pierce. From the moment you meet him, you know you can trust him — supervised or unsupervised — to do the job correctly and with integrity. Going forward, I will absolutely be requesting Pierce Winkler as our on-site plumber every time. If you need plumbing inspection, repair, installation, or replacement at a fair price and want a team that truly values professionalism and customer service, I highly recommend Mr. Drippy Plumbing. This company Draingo was sent by my home warranty to fix my shower and sink. They didn't even open a cabinet or use a wrench to determine the problem. He then went to my hot water heater and unhooked the hose to supposedly check water pressure. Then went outside to my hose to check the water pressure correctly. Then he called a fire and water restoration company and told me the plumbing company would have to wait till they came. The restoration company said they didn't know why they were called. Their was no water damage. I woke up the next morning to my hot water heater leaking. The guy didn't even put the hot water hose back on correctly and that wasn't even on the list to fix!!! So no checking the things that were broken and a broken a hot water heater that has never leaked. Terrible.

Gave 3 stars because of schedule and labor cost. I would have given the Technician Izac a 5 star for is professional and work. Draingo was suggested by my home warranty AHS. I viewed the reviews and decided to schedule. I was sent a text to contact Amber to schedule. Someone other than Amber answered and schedule the appointment. My hot water tank was leaking from the pipe on Friday 5/1/26, so it was understandable that the next available appointment would be that Monday 5/4/26. Two option windows 8-12 or 12-5. I opt for the 12-5 for that Monday, and I took off work. So around 4:30 I called to ensure the Tech was still coming to only be told that someone tried to reach me to reschedule. I had no missed call or a text. Explained that I had taken off working waiting on a Tech and the only option I was given was to reschedule for the next day. The next day I took off again and tech Izac came around 9 am. Izac was friendly, very professional, knowledgeable, patience, and transparent about my options. Tank had to be replaced. He contacted AHS to inform, and handle everything with them. AHS agreed to purchasing another tank free of charge, but not paying for modifications or coding. Izac got AHS to do an emergency replacement using a tank Draingo had on hand. Total for modification (changing out cooper pipes for pec pipes, changing old value to a ball value), bring up to code ( attach the extension tank). All the products was Lowes brand. I looked the parts up and total of $125 to $150 at most. My total for modification, code, and labor $1025.00. Was told that Draingo have to be supplied by them due to liabilities and warranty. The labor price is ridiculous.

I was very pleased with the service. Instead of it being a simple repair, I needed a whole new water heater, which was not surprising since the old heater was 20 years old. Thomas and his assistant were very friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Draingo.

Very pleased with O’Neal Service Pros! Ryan O’Neal (the owner) arrived on time today, and we both discussed the kitchen sink drain blockage issue in my house. He was fast and efficient. He cleared the drainpipe blockage with a drain snake, and fixed a couple of other minor issues with the sink as well in the process. Ryan was very courteous, and very professional. And his quoted price for the job was very fair. I will definitely hire him for any plumbing problems at my house in the future. Recommend O’Neal Service Pros very highly for plumbing problems.

Outstanding Service & Great Value! I highly recommend O'Neal Plumbing! They recently installed a gas log set for me, and the entire experience was fantastic. From start to finish, the communication was excellent. He was incredibly prompt—both in getting me an initial estimate and showing up on time for the actual installation. Once the job was done, he took the extra time to walk me through everything and explain exactly how to operate and maintain the gas log set, which I really appreciated. To top it all off, the pricing was noticeably cheaper than the competitors I looked into. If you need plumbing or gas work done right, I definitely recommend O'Neal Plumbing!

We experienced a septic issue and called on a weekend. Dallas responded promptly at the time scheduled and was professional, knowledgeable and courteous. He diagnosed the issue quickly and advised of the solution. He worked fast to repair our septic line and had us back up and running. Great experience with Dallas and the company. I highly recommend them for any plumbing/septic work!

We needed new faucets throughout the house and Eric was excellent. He had done previous work for us and we asked him to return. He worked all day and even had to go find some parts to help us further. We recommend his services. He is a pleasure to work with.

I had a stopped up kitchen sink problem. I called Benjamin Franklin Plumbing and they sent Jesse Coston to solve my problem. He looked at my sink problem and completely rerouted the plumbing under the sink and resolved the problem. Great work Jesse! I’ll recommend you guys anytime!

Chase Mayo and asst. Daniel were on time, polite and considerate of keeping floors clean and doors closed for warmth. Chase explained all options and did not push anything to increase profits beyond what was specific to our needs. He knows his products well and explained the safety and performance aspects very well after installation. Company wise- installation lower than the bottom of range given for the two chain stores in town- Also really appreciated the company forecasting worker arrival even with name and picture. I would recommend the service with high marks

My sump pump gave out on me and caused a flood in my basement bathroom. I immediately called Brandon with Flotech as he came highly recommended to me on Facebook. He was very professional and explained in detail what happened and how it needed to be fixed. I originally called My Drippy Plumbing on March 24 after finding them on the internet. I was having trouble finding someone to install my new Freedom Whole House Water Filtration System & a separate whole house Fluoride Filtration System. They immediately agreed to have someone come to my home to give me a free estimate. They sent Gene the next day. He arrived about 9:00am and quickly worked up an estimate. My wife and I agreed with the amount. When I asked when he could do the install he said he could do it that same day. I was quite surprised and excited to get the job done so quickly. One little part was missing on the fluoride filtration system. Gene indicated he would come back out to finish installing that system once the part arrived. The part arrived on April 1st and Gene was able to come out on April 3rd to finish the job. There was no charge for the 2nd visit. Both filtration systems look fantastic and are working great. My wife and I are very happy with the work done by Gene from Mr. Drippy and we highly recommend them for all of your plumbing needs. (On a sidenote, Gene also discovered that our expansion tank on the gas water heater was shot and he replaced it on the first day and he also replaced a leaky faucet on the backside our house on the first day.)

The Repairman was at my house on. Time. He verified with me what I wanted done. He pointed out other plumbing needs. Repair options that included discounts and prices were explained to me. I chose the best option for me. They had great discounted bundle prices. The work was promptly and satisfactorily done. The repairman was very professional and knowledgeable. He patiently explained all work done to me and answered any questions I had.

We worked with Greg and Laura and both were fantastic. We really appreciated their clear communication and prompt service. Multiple options for a solution were presented and at no time did we ever feel pressure to make any particular decision or feel like we were being "upsold". My Dad was a Master Plumber for decades and I soaked up a little from him on pricing and scope of work. Everything Laura and Greg presented was accurate and fairly priced. In my opinion, this is a very professional organization. Not opinion, but fact, we are grateful to have taken a chance with this Company we were not familiar with. Our primary reason for choosing MD was the crazy amount of reviews having an average of 4.9 The last company we used for an issue... not so much lol. I now understand why MD reviews are so positive and gladly add my recommendation. I am a new loyal customer.

We called our plumber (SpencerDennis) after receiving $90 water bill. Spencer came out the day of the call and we searched for the possible leak under concrete driveway. Spencer referred to a company from B’ham that specializes in locating water leaks under concrete. The next day I searched our property high and low for water standing and found it near our carport in the supply line from the meter. Finding the spot was not Spencer’s fault it was mine because I told him I thought it was under the concrete due to water standing. Spencer promptly returned that day and made the repairs as needed. His professionalism and having the tools and parts needed on his truck is why we use his service. I think the term used in the service industry is “you get what you pay for” if you need a plumber call Marble City Plumbing. Oh by the way the water standing in the driveway was where our oldest grandson washes his truck twice a week 😂

They were quick and responsive. Andre knew what was wrong quickly and had us fixed just as quick with good products. I appreciate that they were able to get out here the same day I called. The price was good . And I will be calling them again when I need a plumber

It's always terrifying to have something go wrong in the middle of the night that you can't fix yourself. I woke up to a running shower at 1am, and nothing was working to make it quit. Thankfully, Andre answered the cry for help and showed up to the rescue! Got the water shut off and a plan in action, and he was right back at it this morning. Now I have a spiffy new shower handle, nothing is leaking, he cleaned everything up after himself and was such an absolute professional. Prices were very reasonable for the work performed as well. I will definitely be calling again for my plumbing needs!
