Top Rated Plumbers in Decatur, Alabama
DrainPro Express

(256) 410-8344We had a leak around our washing machine valve. DrainPro Express was very quick to respond to our issue even calling us to let us know when they were on the way. James was very professional and personable. He even went under our house to ensure we had no other leaks. Would definitely recommend him to others.
2 years agoJames from DrainPro Express was amazing! He showed up fast and unclogged my main line in no time. Super professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. If you need reliable plumbing help, I highly recommend DrainPro Express!

11 months agoDrain Go Plumbing
211 Central Cir SW, Decatur, AL 35603, USA
(256) 906-9475Terry and James recently assisted us with a clogged drain, and their service was both prompt and highly professional. They quickly identified and resolved the issue, leaving everything in excellent working order. Each time we’ve needed support from Draingo for plumbing concerns, the experience has been consistently positive. Their team is reliable, efficient, and dedicated to delivering quality service. We truly appreciate their expertise and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Draingo to anyone in need of trustworthy plumbing solutions.
8 months agoDraingo of Alabama replaced our water heater, we had some issues with our home warranty who by the way will not send out a list of of parts they cover, they will tell you what parts are covered over the phone from a call center in India which isnt good enough. This is for anyone dealing with warranties, nothing to do with Drain go. We finally did get them to send us a list of what parts were not covered (weird) but they sent it under a letterhead and logo of some completely different company name so we never opened it and didn't find it until later as it looked like Junk Mail. However Drain Go was very nice on the phone, and also the person they sent out Elbert was fantastic, and super fast. I would use them again.
8 months agoI had a service call for 12-4 and they called me at 2:15, I was at work and had paid someone to be at my house, they did not come and rescheduled for another 4 days. I had already waited 5 days to get the 1st appointment. They were used through American Home Sheild my warranty company, but I would not recommend them at all. They do not care about the problem that's going on at your house and their customer service is a joke. I rescheduled with Roto Rooter and got outstanding service.
4 months agoAllstar Pro Services
25851 Walter Lee Dr, Athens, AL 35613, USA
(256) 998-7777Called early today about a blocked drain line and within an hour Zach showed up and troubleshooted the issue. Unfortunately for me and this ole downtown Athens Historic home, we have more than a simple drain fix. He gave me options that helped me determine what to do next. Most importantly he was HONEST..I say this after getting another company (George’s) to give me a quote and let me tell you they were way outta the ballpark and didn’t offer the same solution. Because I’ve done plumbing and have unblocked lines before personally I knew Zach was being upfront. Thanks AllStar for providing reasonably priced honest and quick service! Thank you Zach!
12 months agoAllstar Pro Services did an excellent job installing my new hot water heater. They were on time, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. They were most importantly QUICK. The installation was done right the first time, with no problems two weeks later. I’ll definitely be using Allstar Pro Services again and recommending them to friends and family!!!!
7 months agoMy tankless hot water heater was not working, I called at 8 am and had a response from Lance, the technician 15 minutes later on a Sunday morning. He was able to come out in around an hour and quickly isolated the issue and had it fixed within 10 minutes. He also took the time to explain what happened and what I should look for and do if it happened again. Highly recommend this company and Lance, very prompt, professional and proficient service!
8 months agoMorris plumbing
1377 Old Hwy 24, Trinity, AL 35673, USA
(256) 301-5529EDIT to add, I had them come back to replace my kitchen faucet. I purchased the faucet from Lowe’s, along with 3 plugs to go from a four piece to a one piece. I also had them remove a disposal that was locked up and had not worked since I purchased the house. The water would not drain on that side of the sink. The faucet had kept losing pressure and now I’m back to a normal flow and a draining sink. I’m pleased with their work and the guys were very professional and polite. My water heater went out and I called Morris Plumbing and they got someone out quickly to let me know what I needed. I purchased my water heater at Lowe’s and the plumber picked it up and installed it the next day. He was very respectful, friendly and did neat work. I could tell that he cares about his job and he represented the company well. I wish I had gotten his name. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family.
7 months agoMorris plumbing did an excellent job helping me with my plumbing problem. We had a leak inside our wall behind our tankless water heater. I was afraid we were going to have to remove the heater and waferboard from the wall to repair the leak. The technician determined that it was actually the condensate drain line that was leaking. I was able to reroute the drain at minimal cost. I am extremely happy with the result and thankful the technician took the time to isolate the problem instead of doing costly and unnecessary work. I will definitely call Morris Plumbing again if I ever need a plumber!
3 months agoHands down THE BEST customer service!! They have completed MANY projects for me and my family over the past seveal years!! Super thankful for MORRIS PLUMBING and their outstanding employees!! Just this week when I had issues with my shower head and I called they had a gentleman there within 30 minutes AND they provided me with a spare until the Delta faucet under warranty gets mailed to my home. TOP NOTCH SERVICE from the start!!!
3 months agoLee Company
15050 AL-20, Madison, AL 35756, USA
(256) 353-1500i’ve had Lee company membership for probably 20 years, but I’m about to cancel it. I like that they come out twice a year to service and maintain my HVAC unit at no additional cost. That’s the only perk. I recently had them out for a very minor toilet tank rebuild, flap and one other thing inside it. They also picked up two $16 HVAC filters and exchange them in my Hallways. The total bill was $280 which included $66 for the HVAC filters Replacement. Outrageous! They also looked at my gas water heater storage tank in the garage and messed with it a little, which made it make a popping sound. Was not leaking and I had no problem with hot water. Told me it had to be replaced for $2900 and that they could not flush it because it had a plastic drain connector. Insane! It’s only seven years old and in great shape. Two days later, I had another plumbing Company come out and they flushed it for $150. Issue solved. Lee company consistently wants to replace things that don’t need to be replaced and they overcharge.
7 months agoHad my unit serviced and indoor coil cleaned. Repairmen called to let me know they were on their way, fully explained their work and recommendations. I was very pleased with the service and signed up for Lee+ so now I won’t forget to schedule preventative maintenance. Thanks!
3 months agoI had a new HVAC installed and the ducts cleaned. Everyone was very professional and easy to work with. Another big plus is everyone was on time or early even and communication was excellent. I'm very happy with the work they did and am happy to breathe clean air again! I will definitely be using them for future projects/fixes. Thank you!
5 months agoJackson Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, Septic, Electrical
4504 Hwy 31 S, Decatur, AL 35603, USA
(256) 916-3544Jackson Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling just came out today and replaced our kitchen sink faucet and a pot filler faucet that were both leaking. We provided the faucets and the two technicians installed them in about two hours. They were professional, knowledgeable, and very pleasant gentleman. Their fee was reasonable and they cleaned up their mess. While changing these out is not all that complicated, I highly recommend them for home owners who are not real handy with such things or don’t have the correct tools for plumbing repairs.
4 months agoI had an excellent experience with Jackson Plumbing! Steven and his teammate were absolutely fantastic from start to finish. They replaced my kitchen faucet, repaired a leak in my kitchen, fixed my bathroom faucet that was leaking and the handle was extremely hard to pull out, and also replaced the faucet in my other bathroom shower. Not only did they fix everything quickly and professionally, but they truly went above and beyond. They took the time to explain what was going on, made sure everything was working perfectly before they left, and left the areas clean and tidy. It’s hard to find contractors who are this knowledgeable, thorough, and respectful of your home. Steven and his teammate were courteous, efficient, and clearly take pride in their work. I wouldn’t hesitate to call Jackson Plumbing again and highly recommend them to anyone needing plumbing repairs!

5 months agoHiller Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electrical
1891 Slaughter Rd, Madison, AL 35758, USA
(256) 298-8821Hiller took our call at 9pm when we were having issues with our AC and had a technician out next day. They send a notification when the technician is on the way and you can track the time before arrival. They were here during the time slot alloted and didn't run over. Sloan was a great help and got everything squared away quickly. Will be recommending them to friends and family.
3 months agoHiller, Inc. is an amazing company and I am always impressed with the professionalism that is given regarding every service. Technician Robert Mertz came out to check the heater on January 19th and he was knowledgeable and professional. He did a heat wellness check and no issues were found. My favorite thing about Hiller is the promptness in arrival time. They are always on time to complete the job given. I recommend Hiller, Inc to anyone.

3 months agoHuntsville Plumbing Inc
9582 Madison Blvd Ste 14, Madison, AL 35758, USA
(256) 461-4470Huntsville Plumbing responded to our emergency plumbing issue within a few hours of my call and installed a new shower valve professionally, quickly, and courteously. I would recommend them to anyone with a plumbing problem. Give them a call.
3 months agoHuntsville Plumbing recently installed a tankless hot water heater system in my home after my old electric tank began leaking. I decided to switch to a gas tankless system, and I couldn't be happier with the installation, their knowledge of the system, and their plumbing expertise. The owner, Jason, explained everything that was needed and how it would be done. During the installation, he suggested improvements like hiding the water lines in the wall and the best way to run the ventilation pipe. The installation looks very professional and neat. Jason was very communicative, informing me of the arrival times of his workers and checking in regularly to see if I had questions. The cost was very reasonable. This was my first experience with Huntsville Plumbing, and I was thoroughly impressed. I will definitely use their services again for future plumbing needs and highly recommend them.
1 year agoHad a leak from a copper supply line in bathroom wall, and of course it was in the worst spot imaginable. Called a couple plumbers who insisted the tub had to be pulled to fix it, and wanted to charge an arm and a leg. Had a friend tell me to call Jason at Huntsville Plumbing. Jason responded immediately and was easy to work with. He fully expected he may have to pull the tub based on what I told him was happening, but he wanted to come see it for himself before sending a crew out. He spent time assessing the situation and explored all options. He felt there was a good possibility he could make the repair without pulling the tub. He went to work and successfully fixed the leak in the copper line. Very grateful for what he did, and saved me a lot of time, headache and money! Would give a 100 stars if possible!

11 months agoProfessional Drain Cleaning in Decatur, Alabama
Dealing with a backed-up sink or a slow-draining tub in 'The River City' shouldn't be a source of stress. Whether you are living in a historic home in the Albany District or a newer build near Beltline Road, finding a plumber who is actually available when you need them is often the hardest part of the job. Decatur's unique mix of Southern charm and industrial growth means plumbing needs vary wildly from house to house.
Our service changes the way Decatur residents handle plumbing emergencies. Instead of you spending your afternoon leaving voicemails for 14 different plumbers, we do the legwork for you. We filter our network of certified Decatur experts by your specific zip code and call them directly to verify they have a technician ready to head your way. We bridge the gap between a plumbing disaster and a professional solution with zero wasted time.
Common Drain Issues in Decatur, Alabama
Hard Water Mineral Buildup: Many homes in the Tennessee River Valley area experience mineral deposits from local water sources. Over time, these minerals crystallize inside your pipes, narrowing the passage and making even small clogs a major headache for Decatur homeowners.
Historic Pipe Corrosion: In the Old Decatur and Albany historic districts, many homes still utilize original cast iron or even clay piping. These aging materials are prone to scaling and internal rusting, which traps debris and requires specialized cleaning techniques to avoid pipe failure.
Root Intrusion from River City Foliage: Decatur is known for its beautiful, mature oak trees. While they provide great shade, their thirsty roots often seek out moisture in sewer lines. If you have a slow drain and several large trees in your yard, you likely have root infiltration that needs professional hydro-jetting.
Flash Flooding and Storm Runoff: North Alabama's heavy seasonal rainstorms can overwhelm local drainage systems. If your basement or floor drains are backing up during a storm, it’s often a sign that your exterior drainage lines are blocked by silt and debris, requiring a thorough professional clearing.
Seasonal Drain Maintenance Tips for Decatur, Alabama
Prepare for Spring Storms: Before the heavy Alabama spring rains arrive, ensure your outdoor area drains and gutters are clear of fallen leaves and pine needles to prevent foundation seepage.
Summer Disposal Care: With BBQ season in full swing along the river, avoid putting fibrous vegetables like corn husks or celery down your garbage disposal, as these are leading causes of summer kitchen clogs.
Fall Leaf Maintenance: As Decatur's many trees shed their leaves, keep your yard clear. Decaying leaves can wash into your sewer cleanout or external drains, leading to major blockages before winter sets in.
Winter Pipe Protection: During those rare North Alabama deep freezes, ensure your drains are clear of existing debris. A partial clog can become a full ice-blockage much faster than a clean, free-flowing pipe.
Average Drain Cleaning Costs in Decatur, Alabama
The cost of drain cleaning in Decatur typically depends on the accessibility of the clog and the equipment required. A simple sink snake starts on the lower end, while main line clearing or hydro-jetting for root removal will fall toward the higher end of the spectrum.
