Had an excellent experience with Hanvey Plumbing this past Friday. Our washing machine drain was clogged (major problem since my wife and I have four kids). They came same day I called, knew how to fix the problem, and didn't take advantage of me when it came time to pay. I give them 7 out of 5 stars!

I am so grateful for this father and son team. They worked me into their already busy schedule and even took the time to help a neighbor to bury their dog. We need more businesses like this in this world that are run by hard working and honest people. They are #1 in my book.

I was referred to this company by a plumbing wholesaler in Auburn, AL. Eric, the owner/operator - Economy Plumbing, answered my call promptly. After explaining the problem I had he told me he couldn’t promise me same day service but he would do his best. To my surprise an hour later, he called me to let me know he was on his way. It took him less than 20 minutes to snake my plumbing and his rate was by far the cheapest in town. He was polite, professional and explained what the problem was and how unfortunately tree roots can grow into pipes. I would refer Eric to ANYONE that’s on a budget and wants the job done right and in a timely manner!

Eric, the owner, is reliable, prompt, and trustworthy. I have older plumbing that has a tendency to clog at the most INOPPORTUNE! times and Eric has saved the day on more than one occasion. I have rarely found a service provider I feel so strongly about recommending to others. You really can't go wrong depending on Eric and Economy Rooter.

Kahmari and his assistant replaced my septic tank and installed leach lines in one day, minimizing toilet disruptions to only four hours. Before starting the work, he took the time to explain the entire process to me, providing reassurance throughout. His strong work ethic and the high quality of his craftsmanship impressed me. His enthusiasm for his work is truly evident. I highly recommend his services! Thank you, Mr. Porch.

We had a last-minute disaster the day before taking a short vacation. Called about 7 different businesses and none could make it out over the weekend, so we weren't really going to be able to enjoy our vacation for worrying about this mishap. We found Mr. Porch's business online and gave him a call. He came out the next morning before we left town and got us fixed up. He was polite, knowledgeable, efficient, and just a pleasant man to be around. Would absolutely 1000% recommend!!! We were able to relax and enjoy our vacation thanks to Kahmari!

I reached out to Roarke after our house inspector said that the water pressure was too high, and not to code. The inspector suggested installing a pressure release valve. We called a different plumber, who came out and quoted us $1,600 to install a valve. We thought that was high, so we reached out to Roarke. They had someone out the next morning to check it out. Our service tech, Dan, was a life saver. He took the time to look at our meter, found that there was already a pressure release valve, and adjusted it. Problem solved. It took him less than 15 minutes, and he saved us over $1,500. (Worth mentioning that when we thought we weee going to have to replace the valve, Roarke’s quote was $800 less than the other company.) Will every situation be the same? No. But I can guarantee you that this is a company looking to help people rather than take advantage of them. He could’ve easily replaced something unnecessarily, and charged us 4x what he did. But Dan was there to help. 5 stars, can’t recommend enough. Would plumb again.

I cannot say enough great things about my experience with Roarke. I have had 4 different plumbers to my house and none had the will or knowledge or fortitude to help me with a complex plumbing problem until Roarke arrived. They spent hours researching and coming up with a plan and unlike the others, returned my calls and showed up to work on it. They are skilled, courteous, and thorough. Finally have me a plumber in Auburn! Thank you guys!!

We have used J. Rourke Plumbing in the past and were very pleased. Bryan and Dan came out this time to take care of an issue we had in our crawl space. They were very efficient and found the problem quickly. They got the needed parts and were done in about 2 hours. Both very nice to work with!! Thank you!

We have always had a great experience with Whatley Brothers. Today, 2 new men came to our house and were just as excellent as the original Whatley brother we’ve used many times in the past. They did good work in a timely manner, thoughtful and even helped save us some money, by showing me a cheaper way to repair my toilet than completely replacing.

Whatley Bros is a very professional company. They painted my entire house and put in all new windows. They pay close attention to detail and changed anything I didn't like. It looks so beautiful...I'm the envy of the neighborhood! The guys are so sweet and polite...it was a pleasure having them around. I would definitely recommend them and will use them again for future needs. 5 stars!

Professional Drain Cleaning in Auburn, Alabama

Finding a reliable plumber in the 'Loveliest Village on the Plains' shouldn't feel like a chore, especially when you're dealing with a backed-up sink or a slow shower. In Auburn, the demand for local services can spike during university move-in days or big game weekends, making it difficult to find a technician who is actually available to help right now. That is where our specialized service steps in to bridge the gap.

We provide a streamlined approach to drain cleaning in Auburn, AL. Instead of you spending hours making phone calls and leaving voicemails, we scan our network of certified Auburn plumbers and filter them specifically by your zip code. Most importantly, we actually call them ourselves to verify their 24-hour availability. By the time we connect you, you can be certain that a local pro is ready to head to your driveway to clear your line immediately.

Common Drain Issues in Auburn, Alabama

Auburn is famous for its beautiful canopy of ancient oak trees, but those same roots are a nightmare for local sewer lines. In neighborhoods near the University or historic Chewacla State Park, invasive tree roots often find their way into aging clay or cast-iron pipes, causing recurring main line backups that require professional snaking or hydro-jetting.

With a high concentration of student housing and multi-family units, Auburn homes frequently suffer from 'Game Day' clogs. The increased load on plumbing systems during football season—specifically grease from tailgating prep and excessive food waste—can overwhelm kitchen drains and garbage disposals, leading to stubborn blockages that store-bought cleaners can't touch.

The red clay soil common across Lee County is prone to significant shifting during Alabama's heavy rain cycles. This movement can cause underground drainage pipes to belly or misalign. When pipes lose their proper slope, debris collects quickly, leading to slow drains that eventually result in a complete sewage backup in your basement or crawlspace.

Many Auburn residents deal with hard water minerals that accumulate inside their plumbing fixtures over time. This scale buildup narrows the diameter of your pipes, making it easier for hair, soap scum, and small debris to snag and create a clog. Our verified plumbers use specialized tools to descaling these lines and restore full flow to your home.

Seasonal Drain Maintenance Tips for Auburn, Alabama

Before the Auburn Tigers kick off their home schedule, have your kitchen drains and garbage disposal professionally inspected. The sudden increase in use during hosting can turn a minor slow drain into a full-blown emergency while you have guests.

Alabama's spring thunderstorms can dump several inches of rain in a single afternoon. Ensure your exterior area drains and gutter downspouts are clear of debris to prevent water from pooling near your foundation and backing up into your home's lower levels.

While Auburn winters are generally mild, we do experience occasional hard freezes. Make sure to insulate any exposed outdoor pipes and disconnect garden hoses to prevent pressure backups that can cause indoor drain seals to fail when things thaw out.

In the humid Auburn summer, organic matter in your drains can decay rapidly, leading to foul odors and drain flies. Regularly flush your drains with a mixture of baking soda and vinegar to keep them fresh and clear of biofilm during the hottest months of the year.

Average Drain Cleaning Costs in Auburn, Alabama

$150-$475

Standard Auburn drain cleaning typically ranges from $150 for a simple sink snake to $475 for complex main line hydro-jetting, depending on the severity of the clog and equipment needed.
