Mr. Drippy Plumbing | Plumber, Sewer Line Repair, Tankless Water Heater Repair & Water Damage Restoration Hoover, AL
3411 Lorna Ln, Hoover, AL 35216, USA
(205) 946-033712/2024: 10 out of 10. Jonathan came to help with another clogged drain line. In the same time it took to clear a clog last time, he was able to clear the clog, show me a video of the drain line, and replace my sump pump. He’s by far the best technician I’ve had for any kind of work at my house! If you need a plumber, Jonathan is the one to ask for. Jessica - who quoted my work - was clear over the phone and was able to provide a very competitive rate for the work. I’ll be sticking with Mr Drippy in the future. 1/2024: They sent Jay Jay out to fix a full clog in our bathroom drain line that and he was great! Took a bit of time, but Jay Jay got everything cleared out and was incredibly friendly and professional. The first thing they tried didn’t work, but the second did - and I was only charged for what fixed it. I’d be happy to call Mr. Drippy or Jay Jay again in the future.
1 year ago🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 I cannot say enough great things about Mr. Drippy Plumbing off Lorna Road in Hoover, Alabama! From start to finish, the experience was absolutely top-notch. I was scheduled for a service window between 8:30–10:00 AM this past Friday, and right at 8:00 AM I received a confirmation call from Laura, which I really appreciated. Even better, Pierce arrived promptly, just after 8:30AM and appeared extremely professional and ready to get to work. Pierce was extremely respectful, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. I showed him the issues I was having with a toilet and two sinks, and he carefully explained what was going on in a way that made complete sense. He stepped back out to his van to coordinate with Laura on pricing, and within minutes had clear, straightforward options with numbers for me on how we could approach the problems. The pricing was very reasonable, and they even offered bundling discounts, which made it an incredible value! (Especially for the level of professionalism and quality service they provide.) It is rare to find a company where you genuinely feel comfortable having someone in your home, but that’s exactly how I felt with Pierce. From the moment you meet him, you know you can trust him — supervised or unsupervised — to do the job correctly and with integrity. Going forward, I will absolutely be requesting Pierce Winkler as our on-site plumber every time. If you need plumbing inspection, repair, installation, or replacement at a fair price and want a team that truly values professionalism and customer service, I highly recommend Mr. Drippy Plumbing. Pierce and Laura were outstanding!
2 weeks agoI needed a gas line run for a new gas heater. Greg was very good at what he does. Very kind, answered all 800 questions and explained everything to me so that I understood what he needed to do.Very professional.
2 months agoDrain Werks
508 Springdale Rd, Birmingham, AL 35217, USA
(205) 994-8443Completely unprofessional I called to get a quote and for someone come out and look at our drainage issue. I wasn't here when they came. And when they did they worked on the line I was not notified nor did they ask forme. The next day they sent a confusing invoice. And was demanding payment for what originally was just suppose to be a quote. Combining through the reviews one comment by this company stated that they give a quote before they start work. Any descent business would. They did not. They didnt break down what they were invoicing and they gave an invoice for over 1000 dollars for clearing a drain. I called spoke to an individual and they argued back and forth ( no customer service you could tell they didnt want repeat business) said that they dont give quotes on the weekends. No one informed me of that so definitely reporting them to the better business bureau.... and good luck
1 month agoI have been dealing with Drain Werks on a professional level for over fifteen years as I am in the apartment maintenance field. The service I have received has been outstanding throughout this time. This was an occasion where I needed assistance at my house so I called Dustin to get the particulars on what it would take to remedy my situation. Within a few minutes he explained what it would take to complete the job and gave me a specified time of arrival. Everything went as planned and Blake and Josh could not have been more professional! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK GUYS!!
2 months agoI had a great experience with Joshua! He was able to identify multiple issues with our plumbing, explain them appropriately, and fix them timely. I would use Drain Werks again for any plumbing issues!

(205) 782-7788MarDarius did an outstanding job! He was polite, cooperative and he he knew his stuff. Nobody likes plumbing problems but when you get service that makes you appreciate what was done for you and the effort that was directed to you it makes a bad plumbing day better.... it is a positive thing! I would highly recommend Zoom Drain for both a fair price and outstanding service. (and I start out from the personal position of "I hate plumbing") When you leave a bad plumbing day feeling positive - you are using the right company
3 weeks agoMarDarius was fantastic along with the rest of the crew. Knowledgeable, thorough and patient. I very much appreciate their attentiveness to a complex sewer pipe situation and would recommend them to anyone having a serious plumbing issue
1 month agoGreat service and communication throughout the process from start to finish. Technicians arrived on time and assessed the problem. Ultimately a septic tank issue needing to be pumped. Lead Technician MarDarius recommended a company and even got them on the phone to schedule the required pumping service. I am extremely pleased with the professionalism, courtesy and punctuality of the Technicians and the No Service Call fee. It is refreshing this day and time to find a company that is honest and puts the Customer first. I highly recommend Zoom Drain. Chuck Allen

(205) 947-2964On Time is very reliable and stand behind their work. I had a backed up kitchen sink drain and asked them to replace our kitchen faucet. Chase did a great job! He unstopped the drain that was a lot further down the line. The faucet looks really nice and works well.
1 month agoTyler was top notch. Very intellectual and very thorough. Tyler explained everything from start to finish of the project once he finished up his initial observation of the issues that we were having he then took the time to sit me down and walk me through step by step on exactly what our issues were. I would highly recommend Tyler to anyone looking for any kind of electrical work to be done. he spent time walking us through options for us as our home was hit by lightning and walking us through what we could do to make sure that we don't have this major issue again. not once did Tyler come across pushy or aggressive or telling us what to do he sat us down went through our options and helped us understand exactly what we can do to prevent this happening to us again. again I would recommend Tyler and I thank Tyler for his time and detailed work.

1 month agoRoto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup
1413 Thompson Cir Ste 209, Gardendale, AL 35071, USA
(205) 631-3112Our plumber was excellent. He removed a tough clog in our laundry pipe and went the extra mile to ensure that everything was working smoothly. He was also just a nice person, and was up front with us about the work and the cost. I would definitely contact him again.
1 month agoWe had such a great experience with Roto-Rooter today at Wheelhouse Salon! From the very first call, everyone was so kind and easy to work with. The receptionist who helped me set everything up was super friendly and walked me through exactly what to expect. A little later, another sweet lady called to give me a heads-up that the techs were on their way (which I really appreciated!) Before I knew it, two kind gentlemen arrived and got right to work. They fixed our drain issues quickly and easily, and now all our sinks are running perfectly again. I’m so grateful for their help and will definitely be calling Roto-Rooter for any plumbing needs in the future!
4 months agoI had a pressure reduction valve give out suddenly and required emergency repair, as my water pressure had surged to 120 psi. I contacted Roto-Rooter online and they were able to schedule me for service the following morning. My tech, Isaiah, was able to repair the damage quickly and professionally. He also spotted additional damage to my water supply line, which was able to be fixed at the same time. I recommend both Roto-Rooter and Isaiah for plumbing repairs!
3 weeks agoRoto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup
505 20th St N #125, Birmingham, AL 35203, USA
(205) 928-5093Unpleasant experience with this company. Their tech busted a drain pipe inside the wall; it started leaking inside the wall and it took us few weeks to notice when our kitchen hardwood floor started buckling. His manager offered no help and didn’t want to be responsible for any of it. Had to hire contractors to fix my plumbing, cabinets, wall and floor. Not to mention the inconvenience since our kitchen was out of commission for few days
3 weeks agoTodd the field supervisor was able to come out and assess my problem and had someone come and fix my leak the same day. Phil came to repair a leak in my concrete slab. Technician Phil was outstanding! He was very quick, efficient, and professional. Highly recommend! The time that this was able to be done exceeded my expectation.
2 months agoRoto-Rooter was fantastic in our time of need. They came out day-of to assess our plumbing emergency, offered immediate recommendations on how to address the issue and put us on their schedule quickly to get our water back up and running. Everyone we worked with was professional and we haven't had any issues since the repair. Would absolutely recommend this team if you need emergency plumbing work.
1 month agoMr. Drippy Plumbing | Plumber, Sewer Line Repair, Tankless Water Heater Repair & Water Damage Restoration Birmingham, AL
137 W Oxmoor Rd ste 405, Birmingham, AL 35209, USA
(205) 236-01255 years ago they did great on new water heater installation. Since it's been 5 years I called the Homewood location Mr. Drippy for the annual maintenance expecting professional service and inspection. I specifically said since it's been 5 years I wanted them to perform maintenance. Once arrived, the tech tested drain out pressure (verified 55 psi) then attached hose and drained what appears in the attached orange bucket. When the hose got warm he closed the clean out and disconnected the hose. The gas, water heater and cold water supply remained on. No inspection of anode rod or relief valve. I am dissatisfied with the $270+ service. I called and gave feedback.
1 month agoThese guys are great! The same the same day I called. Gave us great bundling price and theee different options. Always answer the phone or we’re quick to get back with me. Also I asked them to look at something else after they finished the job and they fixed that issue too even thought was after 5:00. Very nice and knowledgeable.
2 weeks agoWe worked with Greg and Laura and both were fantastic. We really appreciated their clear communication and prompt service. Multiple options for a solution were presented and at no time did we ever feel pressure to make any particular decision or feel like we were being "upsold". My Dad was a Master Plumber for decades and I soaked up a little from him on pricing and scope of work. Everything Laura and Greg presented was accurate and fairly priced. In my opinion, this is a very professional organization. Not opinion, but fact, we are grateful to have taken a chance with this Company we were not familiar with. Our primary reason for choosing MD was the crazy amount of reviews having an average of 4.9 The last company we used for an issue... not so much lol. I now understand why MD reviews are so positive and gladly add my recommendation. I am a new loyal customer.

He took the time to explain what needed to be done, showed up when he said he would, and completed the job efficiently and correctly. It’s clear he takes pride in his work and genuinely cares about his customers. I wouldn’t hesitate to call Dewayne again and will definitely recommend him to friends and family.
1 month agoFirst time using Guin, as was recommended by a friend. It was a pleasant experience as far as house calls & repairs go. Light years above other companies I’ve experienced. Compared to OnTime Service, it was a much more professional and easy going experience. Not trying to sell me anything or gimmicks. The decades of experience Guin has really shows. I will be using y’all again. Thank you.

2 months agoProfessional Drain Cleaning in Birmingham
Dealing with a stubborn clog in the Magic City shouldn't be a waiting game. Birmingham’s unique mix of historic homes in areas like Highland Park and rapid new developments requires a plumbing service that understands local infrastructure. Whether you are dealing with an overflowing kitchen sink or a backed-up sewer line, the humidity and soil conditions in Central Alabama can take a toll on your home's pipes. Our service takes the guesswork out of finding a reliable plumber. Instead of calling multiple companies only to find out they are booked for the week, we do the legwork for you. We scan our network of Birmingham-certified plumbers, filter them by your exact zip code, and personally call to verify they have a technician available to solve your drain issue today. From the Southside to the suburbs, we ensure you get the help you need without the frustration of endless searching.
Common Drain Issues in Birmingham
Many older homes in Birmingham still utilize original cast iron or clay sewer pipes. Over time, these materials become brittle and prone to cracking, which allows the thirsty roots of Alabama’s iconic Magnolia and Oak trees to infiltrate your drainage system and cause massive blockages.
Birmingham's water supply, while high quality, can often carry mineral content that leads to scale buildup inside your pipes. Over several years, this calcium and magnesium deposit narrows the diameter of your drains, making it significantly easier for hair and soap scum to create a total stoppage.
In our humid Alabama climate, floor drains in basements or laundry rooms that aren't used frequently can have their P-traps dry out. This doesn't just cause clogs; it allows sewer gases to enter your home. Conversely, heavy seasonal rains can overwhelm older Birmingham drainage systems, causing backflow issues that require professional intervention.
With Birmingham's rich culinary culture, many local kitchens face 'FOG' issues—Fats, Oils, and Grease. Even with a garbage disposal, the traditional Southern style of cooking can lead to grease solidifying deep within your pipes, creating a thick, sludge-like blockage that standard retail cleaners simply cannot dissolve.
Seasonal Drain Maintenance Tips for Birmingham
Spring: Following the heavy Alabama spring rains, have your outdoor area drains and gutters checked. Silt and debris often wash into these systems, leading to basement flooding if not cleared promptly.
Summer: With kids home from school and increased laundry loads, your drains work overtime. Remind your household that 'flushable' wipes are never truly flushable and can quickly snag on aging Birmingham pipe joints.
Fall: As leaves begin to fall, ensure your exterior drain grates are clear. This prevents standing water around your foundation, which is a common issue in the clay-heavy soil found throughout Jefferson County.
Winter: While we don't have the harshest winters, Birmingham does see 'hard freezes.' Ensure any exposed pipes are insulated. If a drain is slow during a cold snap, it could be a sign of ice forming in the line, which can lead to a pipe burst.
Average Drain Cleaning Costs in Birmingham
The cost for drain cleaning in Birmingham typically ranges based on the severity and location of the clog. A standard sink or toilet snake is on the lower end, while hydro-jetting for main sewer lines or emergency after-hours calls in the metro area will fall on the higher end.
Frequently Asked Questions about Drain Cleaning in Birmingham
How quickly can you find a plumber in my Birmingham zip code?
Our system is designed for speed. We filter our network of Birmingham pros by your specific zip code and immediately start calling to verify who is available right now. Usually, we can confirm a technician's availability within minutes.
Why do Birmingham homes often have root issues in their drains?
Birmingham’s lush landscape is full of deep-rooted trees. In older neighborhoods, roots seek out the moisture inside old clay or cast iron pipes, entering through small cracks and growing into large obstructions that require professional clearing.
Do you offer 24-hour drain cleaning verification in Birmingham?
Yes. We understand that a drain emergency doesn't always happen during business hours. Our verification service operates 24/7 to find you a Birmingham plumber who can handle your emergency regardless of the time.
Is hydro-jetting necessary for Birmingham's older plumbing?
For many older Birmingham properties with heavy grease buildup or extensive root intrusion, hydro-jetting is the most effective long-term solution. It uses high-pressure water to scrub the pipe walls clean without damaging the structure.
Does the hard water in Alabama affect my drains?
Yes, mineral deposits from local water can build up over time. This 'scaling' creates a rough surface inside your pipes, which catches hair, grease, and food particles, leading to more frequent clogs than in areas with softer water.
