Top Rated Plumbers in Hoover, Alabama
Mr. Drippy Plumbing
3411 Lorna Ln, Hoover, AL 35216, USA
(205) 946-033712/2024: 10 out of 10. Jonathan came to help with another clogged drain line. In the same time it took to clear a clog last time, he was able to clear the clog, show me a video of the drain line, and replace my sump pump. He’s by far the best technician I’ve had for any kind of work at my house! If you need a plumber, Jonathan is the one to ask for. Jessica - who quoted my work - was clear over the phone and was able to provide a very competitive rate for the work. I’ll be sticking with Mr Drippy in the future. 1/2024: They sent Jay Jay out to fix a full clog in our bathroom drain line that and he was great! Took a bit of time, but Jay Jay got everything cleared out and was incredibly friendly and professional. The first thing they tried didn’t work, but the second did - and I was only charged for what fixed it. I’d be happy to call Mr. Drippy or Jay Jay again in the future.
1 year ago🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 I cannot say enough great things about Mr. Drippy Plumbing off Lorna Road in Hoover, Alabama! From start to finish, the experience was absolutely top-notch. I was scheduled for a service window between 8:30–10:00 AM this past Friday, and right at 8:00 AM I received a confirmation call from Laura, which I really appreciated. Even better, Pierce arrived promptly, just after 8:30AM and appeared extremely professional and ready to get to work. Pierce was extremely respectful, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. I showed him the issues I was having with a toilet and two sinks, and he carefully explained what was going on in a way that made complete sense. He stepped back out to his van to coordinate with Laura on pricing, and within minutes had clear, straightforward options with numbers for me on how we could approach the problems. The pricing was very reasonable, and they even offered bundling discounts, which made it an incredible value! (Especially for the level of professionalism and quality service they provide.) It is rare to find a company where you genuinely feel comfortable having someone in your home, but that’s exactly how I felt with Pierce. From the moment you meet him, you know you can trust him — supervised or unsupervised — to do the job correctly and with integrity. Going forward, I will absolutely be requesting Pierce Winkler as our on-site plumber every time. If you need plumbing inspection, repair, installation, or replacement at a fair price and want a team that truly values professionalism and customer service, I highly recommend Mr. Drippy Plumbing. Pierce and Laura were outstanding!
3 months agoI needed a gas line run for a new gas heater. Greg was very good at what he does. Very kind, answered all 800 questions and explained everything to me so that I understood what he needed to do.Very professional.

2793 Pelham Pkwy, Pelham, AL 35124, USA
(205) 548-9779I was very pleased with the service. Instead of it being a simple repair, I needed a whole new water heater, which was not surprising since the old heater was 20 years old. Thomas and his assistant were very friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Draingo.
3 months agoDawson Taylor was very kind, knowledgeable, and professional. We woke up Christmas Eve to a plumbing blockage preventing toilets from flushing properly, sinks backing up in the kitchen, and it was basically "raining" sewage in the basement if we tried to use any kind of water. Had to go through my warranty with AHS and the first plumbers they assigned said it would be January 2nd before anyone could come out (while the house is unlivable in this condition not being able to shower, use the bathroom, etc.). I called and asked for a different plumber and they connected me with DrainGo who got me scheduled for 12/26. Dawson was able to identify the potential issue but was unable to get to the blockage d/t how my house only had a 1 way clean out. He came up with a plan, but of course the warranty wouldn't cover what needed to be done. He was able to come back today, 12/29, and installed the 2 way sewer clean out in my backyard and was able to reach and clear the blockage. We had to stay in a hotel for 5 nights, but with the holiday, I don't see anyone else getting it done quicker. I appreciate Dawson and both helpers that came (1 each time). I also appreciate the ladies who reached out each time to get me on the schedule and understanding the urgency of the situation. The price was also very reasonable for what all he had to do. Thank you Dawson and team. I will definitely be recommending you all.
4 months agoWe had an emergency at 7PM Wednesday 1/28/26 with a burst cold water pipe in our kitchen. I was at the hospital with a family member who died that night so my husband called 4 plumbers and DrainGo was the first to agree to come out. He fixed it in less than 1 hour but charged us TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS. Since when do plumbers make $2,000/hour? They 100% screwed us over because they knew we didn’t have a choice. My husband isn’t a plumber and he was panicking so they took total advantage of us. On top of that, we now have a NEW leak under our sink that was NOT there before. PURE EVIL. 2/1/26 UPDATE: Our hot water pipe in our kitchen burst today. Tell me why Roto-Rooter came out, spent 4 HOURS fixing it (AND the leak under the sink caused by DrainGo) on a SUNDAY and only charged us $650????
3 months agoPro Plumbing Birmingham Co.
3401 27th St N, Birmingham, AL 35207, USA
(659) 272-0313Our bathroom drain began emitting a strong, unpleasant odor. I called their team and the technician arrived promptly. He cleaned the pipe thoroughly, removed buildup and flushed the line completely. The odor disappeared entirely and the bathroom now smells fresh. I appreciated how patiently he explained what was causing the smell and how to prevent it in the future.
3 months agoThe toilet kept clogging no matter how careful we were. It felt like a repeat problem and I was tired of it. They inspected deeper than usual and cleared the real blockage. It’s been working fine ever since.
3 months agoA sewer odor came from the bathroom drain occasionally. Their team replaced a dried trap and checked ventilation. The smell has not returned.

109 43rd St S, Birmingham, AL 35222, USA
(205) 782-7788MarDarius did an outstanding job! He was polite, cooperative and he he knew his stuff. Nobody likes plumbing problems but when you get service that makes you appreciate what was done for you and the effort that was directed to you it makes a bad plumbing day better.... it is a positive thing! I would highly recommend Zoom Drain for both a fair price and outstanding service. (and I start out from the personal position of "I hate plumbing") When you leave a bad plumbing day feeling positive - you are using the right company
3 months agoMarDarius was fantastic along with the rest of the crew. Knowledgeable, thorough and patient. I very much appreciate their attentiveness to a complex sewer pipe situation and would recommend them to anyone having a serious plumbing issue
4 months agoGreat service and communication throughout the process from start to finish. Technicians arrived on time and assessed the problem. Ultimately a septic tank issue needing to be pumped. Lead Technician MarDarius recommended a company and even got them on the phone to schedule the required pumping service. I am extremely pleased with the professionalism, courtesy and punctuality of the Technicians and the No Service Call fee. It is refreshing this day and time to find a company that is honest and puts the Customer first. I highly recommend Zoom Drain. Chuck Allen

(205) 807-8279Dallas and Paul came out to our house this morning to check out a septic issue we were having and finished the whole task by 530pm They are super professional and helpful in giving advise, doing the task and work! We will definitely be using them in the future for our plumbing needs! If there were 10 stars available, they would surely get them all!!
2 months agoExcellent service! I called this morning to get a septic clean out and they arrived within 3 hours. Trent, tech, was so nice and courteous. The job ballooned into other repairs and they still got it done within a reasonable time and price! Thanks Trent!!!!
3 months agoOne of the lids on our septic tank broke and fell into the tank along with all the dirt covering it. Precision Services cleaned out the tank, replaced the lid with a new rebar reinforced lid and access port. Dallas and his crew were very prompt, courteous, professional and honest. We will definitely use them again.
3 months agoMr. Drippy Plumbing
137 W Oxmoor Rd ste 405, Birmingham, AL 35209, USA
(205) 236-0125Amazing people and company. We had a emergency sewer leakage that occurred on Friday afternoon. Called multiple companies but none would be avaliable until Monday. Mr. Drippy came on a Saturday and charged us no extra fee. Got the problem fixed after working on the plumping for hours ( again did not charge us extra. The people working for the company also went above and beyond to ease our troubles. Highly recommended would not trust another plumbing company after working with them and the team. Thank you!!!
2 months ago5 years ago they did great on new water heater installation. Since it's been 5 years I called the Homewood location Mr. Drippy for the annual maintenance expecting professional service and inspection. I specifically said since it's been 5 years I wanted them to perform maintenance. Once arrived, the tech tested drain out pressure (verified 55 psi) then attached hose and drained what appears in the attached orange bucket. When the hose got warm he closed the clean out and disconnected the hose. The gas, water heater and cold water supply remained on. No inspection of anode rod or relief valve. I am dissatisfied with the $270+ service. I called and gave feedback.
3 months agoWe worked with Greg and Laura and both were fantastic. We really appreciated their clear communication and prompt service. Multiple options for a solution were presented and at no time did we ever feel pressure to make any particular decision or feel like we were being "upsold". My Dad was a Master Plumber for decades and I soaked up a little from him on pricing and scope of work. Everything Laura and Greg presented was accurate and fairly priced. In my opinion, this is a very professional organization. Not opinion, but fact, we are grateful to have taken a chance with this Company we were not familiar with. Our primary reason for choosing MD was the crazy amount of reviews having an average of 4.9 The last company we used for an issue... not so much lol. I now understand why MD reviews are so positive and gladly add my recommendation. I am a new loyal customer.

2 months agoHad a great experience having Thomas and Adrien come out to unclog a blocked sink drain. Sink was back up and running within 10 minutes. Thank yall so much for your professional and quick work!
2 months agoI cannot express enough how great this service was. They sent a very nice tech (Zach) out within a day, provided a quick diagnosis and quote, then returned for the job the very next day! The job was done quickly and the pricing was very fair. The owner, Imad, even went above and beyond to help with this job while another tech was out sick. He explained everything in detail so that I understood what I was being charged for. They were both very courteous and respectful of me and my home. Will definitely use in the future. 10/10 recommend!

3 months agoMadden Plumbing Services, Inc
6259 Park S Dr, Bessemer, AL 35022, USA
(205) 407-1515So far, so good. Christina got the appt set up quickly. Wish there was more info about the benefit of higher toilet price at the front end but it worked out ok. Ivan did everything as promised - called, on time, quick work, explanations, etc. Just installed this am.
2 months agoJohn, the owner, was very kind over the phone as I discussed my inground water service line leak with him. Christina was then able to promptly schedule my service that same week and her manner was so very nice. The day of the service I received a call from Daniel letting me know his estimated time of arrival with an accompanying text to let me know he was in route to my home. When he arrived Daniel couldn't have been nicer in explaining how he was going to see if he could use cable to pull the replacement line through under the driveway without cutting the concrete as this would be a cost savings measure. Although it took a bit longer than they anticipated due to it's depth, nevertheless they located the old water line and were able to use the cable & pull the new line through without cutting into the driveway. This allowed the final invoice to be lower than the original estimate. I am quite pleased with the outcome and grateful to have my water restored!
2 months agoI cannot say enough good things about this company. We have been having problems with our plumbing for over a year and have paid thousands for it to be fixed. I wish we would have called them when our problems first started, because it would have saved us a lot of time and money. Chris was very professional and explained the problem and the fix to us. It was a very reasonable price and I would recommend their services to anyone having plumbing problems.

4000 Eagle Point Corporate Dr, Birmingham, AL 35242, USA
(205) 561-0554We called our plumber (SpencerDennis) after receiving $90 water bill. Spencer came out the day of the call and we searched for the possible leak under concrete driveway. Spencer referred to a company from B’ham that specializes in locating water leaks under concrete. The next day I searched our property high and low for water standing and found it near our carport in the supply line from the meter. Finding the spot was not Spencer’s fault it was mine because I told him I thought it was under the concrete due to water standing. Spencer promptly returned that day and made the repairs as needed. His professionalism and having the tools and parts needed on his truck is why we use his service. I think the term used in the service industry is “you get what you pay for” if you need a plumber call Marble City Plumbing. Oh by the way the water standing in the driveway was where our oldest grandson washes his truck twice a week 😂
5 months agoThey were quick and responsive. Andre knew what was wrong quickly and had us fixed just as quick with good products. I appreciate that they were able to get out here the same day I called. The price was good . And I will be calling them again when I need a plumber
8 months agoIt's always terrifying to have something go wrong in the middle of the night that you can't fix yourself. I woke up to a running shower at 1am, and nothing was working to make it quit. Thankfully, Andre answered the cry for help and showed up to the rescue! Got the water shut off and a plan in action, and he was right back at it this morning. Now I have a spiffy new shower handle, nothing is leaking, he cleaned everything up after himself and was such an absolute professional. Prices were very reasonable for the work performed as well. I will definitely be calling again for my plumbing needs!
1 year agoProfessional Drain Cleaning in Hoover, Alabama
Hoover is a thriving community, but between the mature oaks of Bluff Park and the newer developments near Ross Bridge, homeowners face a wide variety of plumbing challenges. When a kitchen sink backs up or a main line starts gurgling, the last thing you want to do is spend an hour calling every plumber in Shelby and Jefferson County only to find out they are booked for the week.
That’s where our specialized service comes in. We maintain a verified network of 15 local Hoover plumbing experts. Instead of giving you a random list, we filter for the professionals closest to your specific neighborhood and call them ourselves to ensure they have an open slot to handle your emergency right now. Whether you are near the Riverchase Galleria or tucked away in Greystone, we handle the logistics so you can get back to your day.
Our goal is to provide Hoover residents with the fastest path to a clear drain. By verifying 24-hour availability and technical expertise before we connect you, we eliminate the guesswork and the 'no-show' frustration common with standard directory services.
Common Drain Issues in Hoover, Alabama
In established Hoover neighborhoods like Bluff Park, the beautiful, mature tree canopy is often the culprit for sewer backups. Invasive root systems from large oaks and pines can find their way into aging clay or cast-iron pipes, causing recurring blockages that a simple plunger can't fix.
Hoover's rapid expansion in areas like Blackridge and Trace Crossings means many homes are connected to modern sewer systems that are prone to 'disposable' wipe clogs. Even if a product is labeled as flushable, these synthetic fibers often snag on internal pipe junctions common in newer construction, leading to stubborn backups.
With Alabama’s high mineral content in the local water supply, Hoover residents often deal with significant scale buildup inside their pipes. Over time, these calcium deposits narrow the diameter of your drains, making it much easier for hair, soap scum, and food particles to create a complete stoppage.
Hoover’s rolling terrain and heavy seasonal rainfall can also cause issues with outdoor perimeter drains and basement floor drains. If your home is situated near one of the city's many hills, silt and organic debris can wash into your drainage system during a typical Alabama thunderstorm, leading to potential flooding in lower levels.
Seasonal Drain Maintenance Tips for Hoover, Alabama
Spring: With the heavy rains common in March and April, ensure your basement floor drains and outdoor area drains are clear of winter debris to prevent localized flooding during Hoover's storm season.
Summer: Hoover's high humidity can lead to increased condensation in HVAC drain lines. Have your primary and secondary condensate lines checked to prevent water damage to your ceiling or attic floor.
Fall: As the leaves drop in neighborhoods like Moss Rock, keep your outdoor gutter extensions and yard drains clear of pine needles and oak leaves to ensure proper runoff during late-season tropical moisture.
Winter: While Hoover rarely sees deep freezes, the occasional 'Arctic Blast' can cause exposed pipes to crack. If you have a slow-moving drain in an exterior wall, have it cleared before the temperature drops to prevent ice from forming and bursting the pipe.
Average Drain Cleaning Costs in Hoover, Alabama
The cost of drain cleaning in Hoover typically depends on the location of the clog (secondary line vs. main sewer line) and the equipment required, such as a professional snake or hydro-jetting.
Frequently Asked Questions about Drain Cleaning in Hoover, Alabama

In Hoover, we see a mix of tree root intrusions in older areas and 'flushable' wipe build-up in newer subdivisions. High mineral content in the local water also contributes to scale-related clogs over time.
