Top Rated Plumbers in Georgetown, Kentucky
Peterman Brothers Heating Cooling Plumbing
250 Simpson Ave, Lexington, KY 40504, USA
(859) 762-1549We had a completely clogged drain in our kitchen sink which is detrimental to doing life lol! So I called around a couple places and the pricing was not unexpected but still expensive for our financial situation. I found a deal online with Peterman Brothers and I just decided to make a call and they were super kind on the phone. They were able to get me in the very next morning and this young man Sal came and did an awesome job! He had a great attitude from the moment he walked in the door from the time that he pulled out of the driveway. He went above and beyond with clearing the clog explaining everything as he went along. He was very respectful and helped me to understand and translate all the plumbing lingo to something I could process. The drain is absolutely clear and I am very well pleased with the work. Would suggest this young man a particular to anyone I know!
7 months agoDerrick Hagen, a Peterman Bros. plumber, recently installed a combination sump pump with battery backup in our basement. He installed the pump promptly and expertly. As a bonus, he left the area cleaner than it was before he arrived and is a genuinely nice guy!👌 I should mention that the wiring for the sump pump and a septic (muck) pump were previously brought up to current electrical code by a Peterman electrician, who also did excellent work.
7 months agoMark was very thorough and went above and beyond to fix our drain clearing issues. Not to mention he has also very kind and easy to deal with. On the second visit to flush the water heater Riley was fantastic as well. Solid, thorough company, polite, professional service techs and very fair priced.
1 month agoRoto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup
2050 Regency Rd Suite C, Lexington, KY 40503, USA
(859) 278-8491Charles and two other crew members came out and spent an hour diagnosing my problem. I was not charged because it was in the middle of the street and the city has to deal with it. But Charles and the crew were very professional, and did a great job running a snake and camera and diagnosing the problem. I really appreciate them! Very professional.
5 months agoCharles was wonderful to work with! We had tankless water heaters that needed regular maintenance, stop up shower drains, and some issues with our shower! Charles was quick and made the process super easy! Thank you!
7 months agoCam tried to clear the floor drain in our basement for 2 hours, but to no avail. He still did his absolute best as well as answering all our random plumbing questions, and did not charge us for a job unfinished. I’m extremely grateful he came out. We will definitely use Roto-rooter from now on.
9 months agoDauenhauer Plumbing Heating Air & Electric
426 Chair Ave, Lexington, KY 40508, USA
(859) 559-0625Ryan was a very nice guy. We had a main line clog that thankfully we caught early. We contacted Dauenhauer plumbing. The receptionist was friendly. We had a technician (Ryan) show up to the house within 2 hours of the initial call. Ryan was a nice guy. He was friendly, and answered all my questions. The best thing was he solved the issue. Minus 1 star for price of service. But for everything else a 5 for sure.
3 months agoRyan Lawrence Did great on replacing the sensor. The sensor was pricey but he was efficient on getting the job done. He check the vents and change the filter while checking 🙂 … I hope this fixes the issue since I’ve had someone else come and clean the old sensor that goes off frequently and just kept adding up so I guess it was due for a replacement
4 months agoDauenhauer Plumbing is one of the best Plumbing companies in Lexington today. No matter when you call, they always seem to find a way to have availability. They are very honest and straightforward with you about the job at hand and they do everything within their power to solve whatever issue you have. My current service technician Skyler was amazing! He was extremely knowledgeable about my project and the Plumbing Industry in general. Dauenhauer needs to hire and retain more Techs like him! Skyler was easily able to fix my old section of Galvanized steel pipes going to my water heater without having to go backwards and replace more and longer runs of galvanized steel! Dauenhauer is now my go to company for Plumbing and I recommend them for any Plumbing issues you have!

(859) 251-6500Michel, the technician, was professional, courteous, and efficient. He snaked the kitchen sink and went the extra mile to ensure the clog ~20 feet from sink was cleared. There was zero mess. He even provided insight on preventive maintenance.

1 month agoThe plumbers that arrived were great! We had an issue with our shower not turning off, and they were able to arrive within about 15 minutes. 2 years agoPipe Surgeon Plumbing
909 E Loudon Ave #1, Lexington, KY 40505, USA
(859) 629-8700I had pipe surgeon come out to redo the whole houses plumbing and sewer lines. They came out and did that plus a vanity install in another property. It’s been multiple weeks since they did the work and they have left their CAT parked on our sidewalk with a huge pile of debris on it. I went to run the spigot today and they don’t seem to be working. When I crawled under the house to check if the value was turned off I found that they didn’t remove all the old material and instead just piled it under the house. Update on the review: they called and came back out and fixed the spigot that wasn’t working, removed the pipes under the house and cleaned up the dirt and moved the CAT off the sidewalk. I’ve updated this review and rating based on that happening.
8 months agoWe had an old sink that had some leaky pipes and a hose behind the dishwasher that needed replacing. The technician who handled our repair was friendly and thorough. Prices were reasonable and the company was fast in getting us seen. We did have an issue get identified that needs repair in the future and we will definitely consider Pipe Surgeon Plumbing again.
4 months ago*Follow-up service Jan 2026. Corbin returned after I expressed concern with an attached wall heater and reset it, set my water heater to a warmer ‘A’ setting and reinstalled the accompanying utility closet door in front of the water heater - all on a very wintry day. I mentioned that rusty water had been seen from the bathroom faucet twice on the hot water side and Corbin felt it might be due to older pipes. The work was very appreciated and Corbin did a great job.*. Aug 2025 After further inspection of the installation of the water heater, I have to rescind my original recommendation. Corbin and Jacob installed the brand, new water heater on top of a bed of rust left by the previous water heater. This will only cause the new water heater to rust. The attached picture shows the rust in front and to the left of the heater. I had CLR (calcium, lime, rust remover) available had they even known this product existed that could have removed the rust. However, I was not made aware of the rust on the floor. I communicated with the owner, Jake, who informed me they could uninstall the water heater, at additional cost to me, if I wanted to clean up the rust. Unacceptable. I am left with a very expensive, compromised water heater with a warranty that might cover rust in the future but won't cover labor expenses to the tune of $1,000 or more. Very poor business practice in my opinion. Would watch your back. ***Amended*** I had a fabulous experience with the owner Jake as well as the two technicians Corbin and Jacob who efficiently and professionally installed a new gas water heater and repaired a defective toilet. Five-star service. Would recommend!

(859) 536-8432I had Sureflow plumbing install a toilet and unclog a bathtub. I highly recommend them - the quality of the work is excellent, it's reasonably priced, and they show up in a timely manner when they say they will. I also liked that they cleaned up after themselves and disposed of any garbage themselves. I will definitely be going with them for all my future plumbing needs!

Common Drain Issues in Georgetown, Kentucky
Hard Water Mineral Buildup: Like much of the Bluegrass region, Georgetown's water can be high in mineral content. Over time, calcium and magnesium deposits narrow your pipes, making them more prone to recurring clogs and sluggish drainage that standard cleaners can't fix.
Historic Pipe Degradation: Many of the charming homes in downtown Georgetown feature older plumbing materials like cast iron or clay. These pipes are naturally susceptible to corrosion and internal scaling, which often leads to frequent backups and the need for professional descaling.
Aggressive Tree Root Intrusion: With our lush Kentucky landscapes and beautiful old trees, root systems are a constant threat to sewer lines. Roots often find their way into pipe joints in search of moisture, creating stubborn blockages that require heavy-duty equipment to clear.
Heavy Kitchen Use: Between hosting family gatherings and the busy daily lives of Scott County residents, kitchen drains take a beating. FOG (Fats, Oils, and Grease) buildup is a leading cause of emergency calls, often requiring professional hydro-jetting to fully restore flow.
Sewer Line Pressure: During the heavy rain seasons in Central Kentucky, the local sewer infrastructure can experience significant pressure. If you notice multiple drains in your home backing up at once, it’s often a sign of a main line issue that needs immediate professional intervention.
Seasonal Drain Maintenance Tips for Georgetown, Kentucky
Autumn Leaf Management: Ensure your outdoor area drains and gutter downspouts are clear of fallen leaves from Georgetown’s many oak and maple trees to prevent basement flooding during heavy fall rains.
Winter Freeze Protection: Central Kentucky winters can bring deep freezes. Keep your cabinet doors open during cold snaps to allow warm air to reach your pipes and prevent freezing that leads to disastrous pipe bursts.
Spring Cleaning Flush: After a long winter, flush your drains with a mixture of hot water and baking soda to help clear out any grease that may have solidified in the pipes during the colder months.
Summer Storm Preparation: Our summer thunderstorms can be intense. Periodically check your sump pump and basement floor drains to ensure they are clear of debris and ready to handle sudden heavy rainfall.
Average Drain Cleaning Costs in Georgetown, Kentucky
Pricing in Georgetown typically depends on the severity of the clog and the technology required. A standard sink snaking is on the lower end, while main sewer line clearing or emergency after-hours calls will fall on the higher end of the spectrum.
