Quick Relief Plumbing
6822 Berry Rd, Kansas City, KS 66106, USA
(913) 871-4988Our old, castiron drain clogged and backed up at a basement floor drain with sewage. We were unable to use anything that went down any drain without making the pool large. Quick Relief Plumbing sent Anthony L. right out when I called on a Saturday night. He did a great job on this old system with excellent plumbing and people skills. I will be using QRP again amd would recommend without reservation.
2 months agoAll the Anthony's I had contact with were a pleasure to work with. They show up on time, they do what they say they are going to do and they did a fantastic job!! Anthony L was my service tech and he was exceptional!! I can't say enough good things about my experience with them today. Thank you!!!! I took several of their business cards so I could share them with friends and family. Definitely recommend them! 👍👍👍👍😁
2 months agoThe service technician was on time, efficient and did the work I requested…. Plus fixed a couple of other issues in my shower! Very pleasant and considerate!! AND didn’t try to take advantage and overcharge me (which I’ve experienced in the past). I will definitely use them for any other plumbing projects. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Simon did a great job with some of the challenges our plumbing had. I won’t hesitate to call them for all my plumbing needs. Fast service, great job at a fair price.
7 months agoDalton came and cleared main sewer line due to roots and added a clean out. Told me what I needed to do and never once tried to sell me anything extra. It felt like talking to a friend than just another pllumber. He did an awesome job at a very reasonable price. Anyone reading this, I hope you give Dalton @ Drains N More LLC a try. I will recommend him to all my family and friends.
2 years agoDalton came out and inspected a leak coming from my wall under a bathroom sink. He was informative and explained the issue thoroughly. Luckily it was a simple fix. He also noticed my kitchen faucet was loose and offered to fix that as well! Super friendly and highly recommend.

2 weeks agoProline Plumbing LLC
210 SW Market St STE 136, Lee's Summit, MO 64063, USA
(816) 442-9653I'm a little late in posting this review but I have to share my experience with Proline as they helped me and my wife avoid a massive bill. I cant recommend them enough. I had one of the bigger name plumbing companies come look at a backup we were having in our basement through one of the drains....after they couldn't snake out the problem they had a guy come next day with his camera to have a look. After his review he told us that we had a 6 foot section of our main sewer line under our garage that had completely eroded the bottom of the pipe and it was just hitting the ground...meaning that the bottom of the pipe wasn't even there anymore. They also found some roots growing just outside of the house causing a blockage. They said we had to replace the entire main line under our house and then about 6 feet outside of the house. Of course our insurance wouldn't cover what was inside the house so the bill was going to be somewhere $12,000+. It was crushing news... A friend from work said I should get a second opinion and recommended Proline - they came out and showed me with the camera that the pipe was fine....old but fine....there was no 6 foot area where the pipe was eroded. They did find the same blockage of roots outside the house which was the reason for the backup. The other company straight up lied to us and the Proline folks were able to get us sorted for somewhere around $800. I would recommend them to anyone....good folks. My coworker had a similar story to mine and I'm sure somewhere deep in these reviews he wrote something similar.
4 months agoProline Plumbing literally rescued us two years ago when our sewer line backed up into the basement, causing several thousand dollars worth of damage and cleanup. They cleared our line of some thick tree roots and do a great job of annually keeping that line clear. So grateful! They are honest and do good work.
3 months agoProline Plumbing was fantastic to work with! Communication, explanation of work, and pricing was all excellent. Will definitely use again and recommend!

1 week agoLove Rodomatic plumbing! I’ve used them many times before but most specifically today. I’ve had Garrett Green and Blaze out today, on a Saturday, to fix some leaking pipes and main drain work. They not only fixed my issues, but they are always very respectful, professional, and cleans up after their selves. Plus, they guarantee their work!! I highly recommend Rodomatic and specifically Garrett for any of your plumbing needs!!
1 month agoPolite and thorough. Very knowledgable about our plumbing needs and how things do work, as well as how things should work. Amazing all the shortcuts people take in plumbing, but this company is not one of them. Wish the prices were set more for retired folks, but not for lack of quality and diligent work.
3 weeks agoHancock Brothers Plumbers
3015 NE Vivion Rd #5900, Kansas City, MO 64119, USA
(816) 670-4702Here's a rewritten version of the customer feedback, following all your requirements: --- Over the past few months, I’ve used this plumbing service in Kansas City for several jobs, and I’ve been really happy each time. Most recently, Mason came by and replaced three parts in my plumbing system. Luckily, they had everything on hand and were able to finish the repairs that same day. We also talked about possibly doing a full replacement later on, which I appreciate them bringing up so I can plan ahead. A while back, Douglas visited to clean out my pipes and drains. He arrived right on time, did the work quickly, and left everything neat and tidy. I always value when plumbers keep my home clean during and after the job. Earlier, I had them out to inspect my plumbing because I was having some issues with mold and buildup in my pipes. They did a thorough job and suggested a full cleaning of my drains and coils, which made a noticeable difference. On a previous visit, Chase replaced my sink trap. They had first come out months before and tightened it up, but I wanted a full replacement to avoid any future leaks. The new trap works perfectly and looks great under the sink. I also had a leak coming from my main pipe, and this company was the first to actually test and figure out exactly why the water was showing up randomly. They gave me a clear estimate and were available to fix the problem the same day. Each time, they left the area spotless, which I really appreciate. Overall, I highly recommend these plumbers in Kansas City for their prompt, professional, and thorough service.
1 month agoOutstanding plumbing service! I’d give them even more stars if I could. From start to finish, the plumbers kept me updated at every step and made sure I understood what was happening. Gregory, Chase, Douglas, and the rest of the team were extremely helpful, especially when it came to working with my billing and insurance to help me get the best possible coverage. Douglas did an amazing job with the plumbing work and even provided a video inspection of my sewer line, showing exactly why a new line was needed. He also went the extra mile by preparing a detailed plumbing report for my insurance, which was a special request and not something you see every day. The plumbing, water mitigation, and moving crews worked seamlessly together. Everyone was friendly, supportive, and eager to help. I highly recommend this Kansas City plumbing company to anyone needing reliable and professional service.
2 months agoHancock Brothers Plumbers did a fantastic job! I was able to quickly set up an appointment to have our tankless water heater looked at. Douglas did a thorough job diagnosing the problem and clearly explained what was going on. He recommended getting a replacement, and we decided to go ahead with it. The installation was scheduled right away for the following day. Chase and Gregory handled the installation, and they were both very professional and polite. Chase made sure to walk me through everything and patiently answered all my questions. I also recommend their membership plan, which helps with regular maintenance and can save you money down the road. Overall, I’m very pleased with the great service and attention to detail.

8701 NW Crest Dr, Parkville, MO 64152, USA
(816) 455-5420I needed a floor drain unclogged, and Poor John's Plumbing came to the rescue. Communication was excellent, and the tech who showed up was courteous, knowledgeable, and effective in getting the job done. I'll definitely call on these guys again when in need.
4 months agoShawn arrived on time and ran the snake through the family room floor drain line out a least 100 feet but found no significant blockage. He then ran it up through the vertical drain to the kitchen sink and at the top, hit the blockage releasing maybe a quart of black tar like residue with lots of food/garbage particles. He solved the problem and did his best to clean up the mess. No complainants. I didn't take any pictures, and you probably wouldn't want to see it anyway.
1 month agoI had a great experience with this plumbing company. They were extremely transparent from start to finish, clearly explaining the issue, the repair options, and the costs upfront with no surprises. The plumber took the time to answer all my questions and made sure I understood what was being done. It’s refreshing to work with a company that’s honest, straightforward, and professional. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for reliable plumbing services.

1731 Howell St, North Kansas City, MO 64116, USA
(816) 472-4994Not enough stars!! 🤩 Curtis & trainee Robert with Quality Plumbing did excellent work, were fast, and kept us on budget even though plumbing in our old house is notoriously tricky. Curtis was knowledgeable and willing to work with us mid-DIY project, he even took the time to explain how to move forward once their work was done, which we greatly appreciate. Both were friendly, and not pushy to add on additional services, which is great when you're on a tight budget. They were one of the best quotes we received for the project and they more than met our expectations. The saying goes "you get what you pay for" but I really feel like we got much more than our money's worth with Curtis & Rob from Quality Plumbing!!
1 month agoreplaced a 12 year old electric water heater (with a lot of sediment) with a tankless water heater. Got a good bid. Installation was as promised. Clean work. Explained everything to us after installation --- looking forward to many years of long showers! (BTW, used Quality Plumbing based on the recommendation of a friend -- they were right on target.)
3 weeks agoI’ve called on Quality Plumbing several times, both at my current an previous residences. They do QUALITY work at reasonable prices. Today, Curtis resolved a major bathroom leak in record time, very efficiently and quickly. Afterwards, he checked everything thoroughly and cleaned up the area. I’m ver appreciative.
3 weeks agoProfessional Drain Cleaning in Kansas City
Kansas City, KS residents know that a clogged sink or a backed-up sewer line can ruin a day faster than a long line at a local BBQ joint. Whether you’re living in a historic home near Strawberry Hill or a newer development out west toward Village West, finding a plumber who is actually available when you need them is often the biggest challenge. That’s where our unique verification service steps in to save the day. We don’t just provide a list of names; we scan our local network of certified professionals specifically for the Wyandotte County area. We filter by your exact zip code and personally call the plumbers to confirm they can handle your specific drain issue right now. From the Kansas River to the Missouri state line, we ensure you get connected with a pro who is ready to work, saving you from the frustration of endless voicemails and no-shows.
Common Drain Issues in Kansas City
In established KCK neighborhoods like Quindaro and Armourdale, beautiful old trees have root systems that are constantly seeking moisture. These roots often find their way into aging clay or cast-iron sewer lines, causing persistent blockages that standard store-bought chemicals simply cannot fix.
We love our world-class barbecue in Kansas City, but our drains certainly don't. Cooking fats, oils, and grease (FOG) from home smokers and heavy kitchen use often end up down the sink. In our climate, these fats solidify quickly in the pipes, leading to stubborn 'fatbergs' that require professional-grade hydro-jetting to clear.
Kansas City is prone to heavy seasonal downpours and flash flooding. When the local storm drains get overwhelmed, it can put immense pressure on residential sewer systems. This often leads to unexpected basement drain backups, especially in older homes with outdated backflow prevention.
Wyandotte County's water can be relatively hard, leading to significant mineral scale buildup inside your plumbing. Over time, this calcium and magnesium scale narrows the passage of your pipes, making it much easier for hair, soap scum, and small debris to create a total, messy blockage.
Seasonal Drain Maintenance Tips for Kansas City
Before the heavy Kansas spring rains arrive, ensure your floor drains and sump pumps are clear. A quick professional inspection can prevent a flooded basement during a sudden Midwestern thunderstorm.
During peak summer grilling season, never pour meat drippings down the drain. Collect grease in a container and dispose of it in the trash to prevent major clogs during your backyard gatherings.
In the fall, clean out your outdoor area drains and gutters. Decaying leaves and organic matter from KCK’s many trees can easily wash into your drainage system, leading to significant seasonal backups.
With our freezing Kansas winters, ensure your pipes are properly insulated. A slow-moving drain is much more likely to freeze solid than a clear one, which can lead to expensive pipe bursts when the temperature drops below zero.
Average Drain Cleaning Costs in Kansas City
In Kansas City, drain cleaning costs are typically determined by the location of the clog and the equipment required. A simple sink or toilet snake is on the lower end, while main sewer line clearing or hydro-jetting for grease and roots typically falls on the higher end of the scale.
Frequently Asked Questions about Drain Cleaning in Kansas City
