No one wants to call the plumber for a foundation leak, because only experience can make a difference when it come to this nuances. I call for a foundation leak and this company replied promptly. They will definitely makes holes to find the leak but that's part of the process as long as is within the scope of the search for the leak. The employees that responded were able to find the leak but during the repairs they broke a tile and one of the holes was unnecessary as it was on the master bedroom which was not even close to the source of the leak. The owner was quick to take care of such inconveniences with expediency and professionalism. The price was good for the repairs as I included for them to replace my shower accessories with new ones. I research all the companies here in laredo and this one by far has provided a good service. Kudos for making me whole by conducting the repairs and correcting the mistakes and for taken responsibility. Will definitely call again. I reccomend this place for the work, experience and the communication provided by the owner.

DO NOT use this plumber unless you want to get ripped off by him and give away your money!!!! I do not usually write reviews (cliche', I know) and this one is 10 months after this "company" provided services because I was naive, trusting, and ignorant. Nevertheless, Mr. Maldonado took advantage of my trust, and I daresay the fact that I'm a woman (but I have no doubt he would do the same to anyone), and outrageously overcharged me on a what I now know to be a simple job. American Home Shield assigned me this company to diagnose why my A/C unit was leaking and after both his sons (older gentlemen too, not young) came in to look at it, was told that the PVC line was not angled correctly which caused the draining water to stagnate eventually flowing back towards the unit creating the leak. I naively trusted them, his two sons and Mr. Maldonado (Sr.), when they told me it would be an extensive and costly job quoting me at $1,300. This was in May 2021 after the freeze when plumbing supplies were still scarce and plumbers had full schedules, so I wanted to be understanding that maybe PVC was more expensive than usual. I truly didn't even think of shopping around because 1) they seemed trustworthy and 2) I really needed it fixed because my ceiling already had extensive water damage. Fast forward to today (or rather three days ago), I needed to get my A/C looked at again because it was not cooling the house. I met a wonderful repairman, he did a great job by the way, whom after I mentioned the expense I had made to repair the drain line said was extremely overpriced. At this point I realized that I had not inspected the job and hadn't been up in the attic since before Maldonado came to replace the PVC so when I looked up there I was so infuriated because there was no difference to the way the line was setup prior to them performing "the job". It was no more than maybe 15 ft of PVC that was replaced with a couple of joints. To add insult to injury, I was left with a hole in one of the bedroom walls that they "had to make" which I have to repair out of pocket. I am so disappointed, more so with myself for trusting, that there are people out there who have a business in a trade that is so needed by homeowners whose business is really taking advantage of people and taking their money. I am a disabled veteran, at the time wasn't working and had only been back to Laredo for 3 months. Mr. Maldonado and his sons knew this and that I was tight with money but didn't even search their heart (though, I don't believe they have one) to do the right thing. Instead, his entire family, because he brought the cavalry with him (Maldonado Senior, his two sons, and four teenagers who were his grandkids), think it's ethically okay to rip people off. Don't use this company!!!!

Unfortunately if you use American Home Shield, you know the pain of dealing with this company. Often times they are very unprofessional and difficult to work with. Hopefully you never have an issue on the weekends because they are not available on Saturday and Sunday. I inquired several companies about a foundation leak in my home. All of them, BUT Maldonado & Sons determined that the issue could be fixed that same day. Maldonado & Sons deemed it necessary to shut off water supply for a full day in order to identify the leak. Any one who's ever been left without water in their home knows how difficult a request this is. I eventually called a different company and not only were they able to identify the leak source without leaving me without water, they managed to repair the leak within 6 hours. I strongly encourage everyone to use another plumbing service even if you have an American Home Shield plan.

Highly recommended. They were the only ones who found the problem of a leak in the bathroom after 3 different companies had tried. Additionally, they charged me half of what the others did.

No punctuality, if you schedule an appointment make sure you do not work that day because they do not show up on time. They scheduled me for 9am & we received no courtesy call to at least say they will be late or any type of rescheduling, I am a very understanding person, I am considerate that these employees might have a lot of work and sometimes they might take a little longer doing jobs, but to not show up at all is crazy. People have lives and other things to do rather than have to wait for them. Also, make sure you get prices through text, I was quoted $75 just to unclog a bathtub which could’ve been done with less than $10 with a Walmart tool. Only reason why I didn’t do it was because I was not in town. They ended up charging me $186, I don’t see how even a deaf person would confuse the sound of $75 to $186. Definitely would not recommend this company.

By far the worst service I have had from anyone around Laredo. They made an appointment to be at my house at 9 am. Nobody showed up at 9 so I waiting and called the office at 10:30 am. They told me they were sorry but it would be after lunch. I was very polite even though they wasted my entire morning. I called again at 2 pm because once again nobody showed up. The lady in the office told me “ they had lots of jobs” and couldn’t make it today. What kind of business does this? I wouldn’t use them to take out my trash!

Very disappointed, I waited all day for service an was told not to worry they would show up for service replacement, I would have been okay if they said they couldn't make it or even a call to reschedule but nothing. Hopefully the can work on better communication in the future. I'm not a customer nor would I be in the future.

Verify Availability Before You Call

Professional Drain Cleaning in Laredo

Dealing with a backed-up sink or a sluggish shower in the Gateway City can be a major headache, especially when the South Texas heat is in full swing. In Laredo, plumbing issues don't wait for a convenient time, and finding a technician who is actually available to show up at your door can be half the battle. Our service takes the guesswork out of the process by scanning a curated network of certified Laredo plumbers. We don't just give you a list of names; we filter our network by your specific Laredo zip code and personally call to verify that a technician is ready to solve your drain issue today. Whether you are near the Rio Grande, up by Texas A&M International University, or out in the Mines Road area, we ensure you connect with a pro who is ready to work immediately, saving you the frustration of endless voicemails and 'no-shows.'

Common Drain Issues in Laredo

Hard Water Mineral Buildup: Laredo’s water source and South Texas climate often lead to high mineral content. Over time, calcium and magnesium scale can narrow your pipes, causing slow drains and frequent clogs that standard store-bought cleaners can't touch.

Invasive Mesquite and Oak Roots: In the search for moisture during Laredo’s dry spells, local tree roots can be incredibly aggressive. They often find tiny cracks in sewer lines, leading to massive subterranean blockages that require professional hydro-jetting or snaking.

Kitchen Grease and Oils: With Laredo's vibrant home-cooking culture, kitchen drains often take a beating from fats and oils. These substances solidify in the pipes, especially during the slightly cooler winter months, creating stubborn 'fatbergs' that stop your sink cold.

Windblown Silt and Sand: Our local environment is prone to dust and wind. Over time, fine silt and sand can settle in outdoor drainage systems or basement floor drains, creating a heavy, sludge-like barrier that prevents proper runoff during our sudden South Texas downpours.

Seasonal Drain Maintenance Tips for Laredo

Summer AC Maintenance: In the Laredo heat, your AC runs non-stop. Ensure your condensate drain line is clear to prevent water damage and indoor flooding—a common 'hidden' drain issue in our region.

Fall Rain Preparation: Before the occasional heavy autumn rains hit the Rio Grande Valley, clear your outdoor area drains of any accumulated dust and debris to prevent localized property flooding.

Winter Pipe Protection: While Laredo winters are mild, the occasional freeze can cause older, clogged pipes to expand and crack. A pre-winter professional cleaning ensures water flows freely and reduces the risk of pressure-related bursts.

Spring Cleaning: Use the spring season to flush your drains with hot water and vinegar to break down any grease buildup from the holiday cooking season before the summer heat intensifies odors.

Average Drain Cleaning Costs in Laredo

$125-$475

Pricing in Laredo typically depends on the severity of the clog and the equipment required (such as motorized snakes or hydro-jetting). Emergency after-hours calls or main sewer line issues may fall on the higher end of the spectrum.

Frequently Asked Questions about Drain Cleaning in Laredo

How fast can I get a drain cleaner to my Laredo home?

Because we filter by your specific zip code and verify current availability, we can often find a plumber who can arrive at your Laredo property within a few hours of your request.

Do you cover all areas of Laredo, including the Mines Road area?

Yes. Our network covers all of Laredo and Webb County. We filter specifically for pros who service your neighborhood to ensure quick response times.

Why shouldn't I just use a chemical drain cleaner from the store?

Laredo's hard water often reacts with chemical cleaners to create a stubborn sludge, and the harsh chemicals can damage older pipes found in historic Laredo neighborhoods. Professional cleaning is safer and more effective.

Is 24-hour emergency drain cleaning available in Laredo?

Absolutely. We specialize in verifying 24-hour availability so that if you have a midnight backup, we find the pro who is actually awake and on-call for your zip code.

What is the most common cause of clogged drains in South Texas?

A combination of hard water scale and invasive root systems seeking water in the arid climate are the leading causes of major drain failures in the Laredo area.
