Top Rated Plumbers in Brownsville
LOPEZ PLUMBING
14 W 12th St, Brownsville, TX 78520, USA
(956) 521-5906This is the 2nd review I am leaving and all I gotta say is Lopez Plumbing doesn't disappoint. The owner came as promised and was able to clear a backed up line that was preventing the water in my shower to drain and even fixed my toilet for free! I'm glad I decided to contact them again. Thank you Lopez Plumbing. They just left after fixing my toilet and I highly recommend them. They cleaned their mess and did a fantastic job!
1 year agoHad a clogged kitchen sink. Called Lopez Plumbing and within 40 minutes they were at my house. They were very professional and economical! They completed the job in 30 minutes. I highly recommend Lopez Plumbing!
5 years agoPlease do not let good reviews fool you, i planned using this company for a job and all I received was lies. They said we will be out today by a certain time and did not come. I contacted them again, and another promise to come on Saturday. They never texted or called to say they would not come out as promised. Another lie! I would advise to use another plumber company, because if said company makes promises and does not deliver on them, then it may reflect on the work that is to be done on your home. I did not even want to give them a one star, but no choice. Good luck if hiring this company for a job.
2 years agoRoto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Service
115 North St, Brownsville, TX 78521, USA
(956) 694-1680Trent from Roto-Rooter came to the house on super short notice, found the issue (clogged AC drain pipe that was improperly installed), and addressed the issue right there on the spot within an hour. Great, super fast service. Thank you for the help!
5 months agoTechnician Bobby explained the work that needed to be done and my options. He was professional and patient. I highly recommend ROTO-ROOTER. Thank you!
1 year agoMr. Roberto, flushed the Water heater and did a home inspection of possible repairs. Mr. Robert, gave us estimates of repairs, that were within our budget. Replaced and repaired much-needed things in our home. Forever Grateful to Mr. Roberto from Roto-Rooter
6 months agoCaleb's Plumbing
443 S Clubhouse Rd #317, Brownsville, TX 78521, USA
(956) 302-9210We are very glad we chose this plumbing company! When we bought our home, our realtor arranged for a sewer line inspection, and the plumbers discovered some major issues. This really helped us negotiate a better price on our new place so we could cover the necessary repairs. The repair work was a big job, so we reached out to several plumbers to make sure the price and assessment were fair, and it turned out everything checked out. In the end, this plumbing company gave us the best price, worked with us on how we wanted the repairs done, and was really flexible with our busy schedule. After about a week of hard work, their crew did a full replacement of our underground sewer line with as little mess as possible. Leo and Everett were both very professional, and we were impressed by how smoothly everything went. Since then, we’ve already called them back for a garbage disposal installation and also to fix a gas leak on our water heater. Both times, the service was just as great. We definitely plan on using them for all our future plumbing needs!
3 weeks agoWe will always call Caleb's Plumbing for any plumbing work from now on. If you’re worried about getting overcharged or not knowing your options, definitely give them a try! They are upfront about all your choices and their prices are very fair. We recently had a water main line break at our place in Brownsville, and I was really impressed with the way they handled the repair, especially their customer service. We had a few other plumbing companies come out to give us estimates, but Everett from Caleb's Plumbing went the extra mile. He not only gave us a straightforward and honest estimate, but also helped us by talking to the city about permits since one solution meant going through the city sidewalk to the main meter. Everett even suggested another approach that could save us a lot of money, even though it wouldn’t benefit them as much. That kind of honesty and integrity is rare these days. We also used their services for a big remodel years back—new pipes throughout the house, adding a bathroom, installing a water heater, washer, and dishwasher—and the quality was top-notch and the price was the best we found. We haven’t had a single problem with any of that work. With my past experiences with contractors, it’s a relief to find a plumber you can trust in Brownsville. Caleb's Plumbing is definitely one of the best around!
2 months agoHad my toilet start leaking in the middle of the night. My boyfriend woke up to water all over our bathroom floor and called me on his way to a golf trip to tell me to find a plumber and get the toilet fixed. I called Caleb's Plumbing since they had good reviews and offer 24-hour service. the person who answered the phone was super friendly and made me feel really confident about my choice. she explained everything clearly and went over what to expect. my plumber was Leo and he did a great job. he talked me through all my options, explained the pros and cons, and told me about any possible issues along with all the costs up front. he was honest and worked fast, neat, and did everything efficiently. I’m definitely going to use them for any plumbing problems from now on. later on, everett came by to fix a leaky faucet in my kitchen. he showed up on time, was very knowledgeable, and took care of the problem quickly. it's hot here in Brownsville, so having everything working is a must. I’m really happy with the service and how helpful everyone was!
3 months agoMr. Rooter Plumbing of Brownsville
2685 N Coria St Ste C5, Brownsville, TX 78520, USA
(956) 267-4057The job got done as hopefully expected. Had one water drain at washer and dryer snaked out but honestly felt like I overpaid for the work done. Paid almost 300 and plumbers were 2.5 hours late to the time of arrival I was told. The plumbers were friendly ans did a good job but the company/service see was not what I expected it to be. They also dont give you the quote price until they are at your home. I didn't like that. Also, they quoted me a simple changing of a kitchen Faucet to a new faucet fixture almost 400 dollars. Ridiculously over priced for something as simple as a fixture change. It cost more than the snaking of my drain.
6 months agoDO NOT HAVE THEM REPAIR ANYTHING. Nine months ago my daughter contracted Mr. Rooter of Brownsville to replace some PVC pipes to the bathroom shower. Technician came out and made the repairs. However an hour later his repair started leaking badly, she called him and he came out and repaired it again. About 3 hours later it ruptured again. Everyone of the family went out to eat and were not home. When we got home we had wood and synthetic floors, walls cabinets soaked in water that was almost half a foot. She shut off the water supply and called Mr. Rooter again. The senior plumber came out and fixed it correctly. He told daughter to contact our home owner ins. I had an 8 thousand dollar deductible and they only paid for the drying out of the house. She contacted Mr. Rooter and was given a claim form. It has been filled out and submitted. No contact since then. The insurance company does not answer phone calls or emails. I do not recommend them to repair anything as their warranty is worthless and we have 8 to 10 thousand dollars damage and the price of the materials to buy are getting higher by the day. Also the office on Coria street is only that and we have yet to see anyone there. I will post more to let everyone know the outcome of this as I am filing a formal complaint with the Board of Insurance and am in contact with a lawyer
2 weeks agoMr Hector was knowledgeable, competent, friendly and was able to stop the leaky hot water faucet in the shower, and change the faucets in the sink without any difficulty, and I would highly recommend this company and give the highest rating, and save the contact for any future plumbing issues. Thank you for removing the stress and fixing the problem!!

Thank You Marin for your service
3 months agoI was at my wit’s end with a major sewer problem—frantic, stressed, and worried about what to do next. A friend recommended Martin's Sewer and Drain, and I’m so glad they did. They arrived promptly, diagnosed the issue thoroughly, and explained everything clearly. Their team worked quickly and carefully, using top-quality tools to fix the problem. They even kept my property clean during the process. Thanks to their professionalism and expertise, I finally feel relief. Highly recommend for anyone in a plumbing crisis—they truly saved the day!
5 months agoHe seemed professional.. he quickly got to work and “cleared” the issue with his equipment. However, he did not check to see if the issue was fixed completely. He didn’t run a hose to confirm the issue was resolved. He waited until we paid him and then left. A day later we’re still dealing with the same issue. I called him so he can come back out and see what had happened. He said there was no warranty and that he was going to charge me again!?! It’s completely disappointing considering the service was $240 and I’m still dealing with the same problem a day later.
5 months agoA&S Plumbing
6944 Wild Olive Ln, Brownsville, TX 78526, USA
(956) 204-1645Great service! Their number is going up on my fridge. Armando came the same day, called to confirm that we were available and fixed a serious clog in our kitchen/bathroom sinks in less than an hour for an affordable price.
10 months agoThe same day service was the best I didn't have to wait around for days to get my issue resolved. The prices were incredibly affordable, too. I'd highly recommend to anyone looking for efficient, affordable, and reliable solutions. Five stars, hands down!

3 years agoRobert’s Repair Plumbing
1844 El Cielo St, Brownsville, TX 78520, USA
(956) 203-9993Robert was great. He came and helped my family change out from a tanked water heater to a tankless unit. His expertise in the matter was noticeable from the start. He recommended certain items to purchase that would prevent major costs in maintenance in the future. Super professional and easy to work. Highly recommend.
2 years agoAfter a pipe broke within the walls of our house last night, Robert promptly responded to my call even though it was late in the evening. He quickly fixed our issue, did a damage assessment, provided recommendations for future action, and taught me a few things along the way. I hope I don’t have to call a plumber again, but if I do- Robert will be my first choice. He is a consummate professional and quite responsive to the needs of his customers. 5 stars are certainly in order.
2 years agoRobert, thank you for responding to my message quickly, taking the time to find the appropriate parts and service for my shower valve replacement. I look forward to our water filtration system installation. I appreciate the reasonable and fair prices, your courtesy and patientince.
1 year agoCornerstone Plumbing Contractors
439 S Browne Ave, Brownsville, TX 78521, USA
(956) 525-3196Called Cornerstone Plumbing and they immediately responded to our request. They were prioritized our safety and arrived quickly. We called them due to a possible gas leak request to replace old gas valves. I am so grateful for their commitment to keeping our family safe! Thank you Cornerstone Plumbing!
5 years agoI called Cornerstone for a installation of a gas stub to connect my new gas line and they came out gave me a very reasonable quote and got right to work. They were also able to install my new gas stove top. They were very professional, reliable, and will definitely call them back for any future plumbing needs!
3 years agoAnyone who has searched for a plumber knows how frustrating it can be. After weeks of being blown off by other companies and individuals who would not call or answer phones I came across Cornerstone. It was obvious from my first interaction that I was dealing with a professional. Communication was easy and moving in both directions. The work was quick clean and at what I believe to be a fair price. If you are tired of the run around from all the other places make the call. You will not be disappointed.

Common Drain Issues in Brownsville
Hard Water Mineral Buildup: Many Brownsville homes struggle with hard water, which leads to calcium and magnesium deposits inside your pipes. Over time, this buildup narrows the diameter of your drains, causing slow drainage and frequent clogs that DIY solutions can't fix.
Sandy Soil and Foundation Shifts: The soil composition in the RGV can shift significantly with the weather. This movement often puts pressure on underground sewer lines, leading to cracked pipes that allow dirt and debris to enter and block your system.
Tree Root Intrusion: In older Brownsville neighborhoods, the root systems of large native trees are constantly seeking moisture. They often find it by infiltrating tiny cracks in your sewer lines, creating massive obstructions that require professional snaking or hydro-jetting.
Humidity and Biofilm: The intense South Texas heat and humidity can accelerate the growth of bacteria and 'biofilm' inside your pipes. This sticky substance traps hair and food particles more easily, leading to stubborn clogs and unpleasant odors emanating from your drains.
Seasonal Drain Maintenance Tips for Brownsville
Prepare for the Atlantic Hurricane Season by clearing out all exterior area drains and gutters to ensure heavy tropical rains don't flood your property.
Schedule a professional drain inspection after the Charro Days festivities, as large family gatherings and heavy cooking can put an extra strain on your kitchen's grease trap and disposal.
Flush your drains with a mixture of hot water and vinegar during the spring to help break down the mineral deposits common in Brownsville's water supply.
Check your outdoor spigots and drainage points before the rare RGV cold snaps to ensure no standing water is present that could cause pressure issues in your lines.
Average Drain Cleaning Costs in Brownsville
Pricing in Brownsville typically depends on the location of the clog. Simple sink or shower snaking is more affordable, while main sewer line clearing or hydro-jetting services fall on the higher end of the scale.
