I cannot say enough great things about Frontier Plumbing in Oak Ridge. This is the second time we have had them do something for us. The first time they came promptly after calling the day before Thanksgiving to unclog a drain. The next time we had them install a gas on-demand water heater. We ended up having a small issue with it several weeks later and they showed up to fix it the very next morning. They do what they say they’re going to do. They show when they tell you they’ll be there. Their prices are fair and the work is solid! Highly recommended!!

We recently used Frontier Plumbing for a main line water leak connection repair as well as a dripping shower. From start to finish, their customer service and communication were excellent. They showed up promptly, did quality work, and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely recommend Frontier Plumbing to others!

#SepticTankPumping #DrainFieldLineJetting Two very nice, professional, skilled young men came promptly and did the two separate services on our house's septic system. Mason came first to empty the tank; he had the necessary tools to locate the exact underground spot of our septic tank's openings; he was able to shovel dig to it; it being less than 3 feet down. He showed me the high water level at its opening, and after some questions and answers, said there might be a possible blockage(s) in the drain field that could need clearing to help drain and prevent backups into the house later. At my request, he explained more about septic tank systems and the service so I could make my informed decision to have it done with the septic tank pumping. He did his work, then prepped and tidied the two tank lids until the next young man could come from Knoxville with the jetting equipment, then he collected the payment for the first service and left. An hour or so later, the next young man arrived from Knoxville and got to work on the drain field jetting. I was curious about the jetting process and watched ( from a respectable distance) him work an estimated 20 feet or so of green hose or plastic tubing down through the septic tank system; it reminded me of snaking the toilet drain the way he had to work and feed the green hose tubing through it. I'm bad with names, but this young man did explain that my line was good to a point before he did run into a blockage, but thankfully, he was able to work it and break through it until the hose/tubing stopped at the end of the field line. He closed and re-buried my septic tank lids and collected the payment for that service, which matched Mason's quoted price earlier. I am glad that I called Valley Plumbing for service when I did, and that they had an opening to respond as quickly and as professionally as they did. I would recommend Valley Plumbing based on my experiences with their 3 representatives: the lady that took my call for service and the two young men that did the work.

We had a pipe leak which resulted in extensive hime repairs. Logan and his crew completed a complete home repipe, installed new shower trims with valves, set a new freestanding tub, hooked up new faucets, toilets, installed new tankless water heater and water filtration system. He and his crew performed the job with efficiency and excellence. When there was an issue, Logan was easy to communicate with and very approachable. We appreciate his expertise and the excellent customer service this company provides.

I had a huge leak in my waterline. They came immediately to assess the issue and then dug up and replaced the line. I cannot express my gratitude for their prompt response and repair! The two men that came to dig up the line did an amazing job and left the yard in great condition. Thank you both for your professional and courteous communication!!

These guys are great! I needed a plumber asap and they were able to get me an appt the very next morning. The service was really good & the guys were very professional and super nice. I ended up signing up for their yearly membership which was only $99 and as a member I will get 15% off of any future services. I don’t write up many reviews but for this company it was a must. Trust me & call them now if you need a good plumber!

Anthony is super nice and understanding when I remembered I had a home warranty and wanted to try and use them first. Their quote was still under what another competitor was going to charge and their membership plan is cheap and can amount to big savings on top of that. He didn’t seem annoyed when I remembered just prior to him starting that I had a home warranty. Super nice and chill guy.

Coby Harris, Pipe Wrench, came out this morning to clear a clog in my main drain. He managed to do this as quickly as possible giving me an estimate before the work. Friendly and personable, he did a great job. Pipe Wrench was the only plumber to answer the phone this weekend based on my experience. Recommend!

We called Pipe Wrench fairly early this morning (a Saturday morning, no less). Cody showed up just after noon and promptly fixed our toilet and our sink drain. He was for sure prompt and also very efficient. And also quite cheerful. We can attest to the fact that same day service does, indeed, happen!

Chris B. is an outstanding HVAC technician. He originally installed my unit back in late February, and I recently had to call the office because the system wasn’t cooling the home during a warm day. Customer service responded quickly and scheduled Chris to come back out. When he arrived, he immediately identified the issue and knew exactly how to fix it. His professionalism, knowledge, and respectful attitude really stood out. It’s clear he takes pride in his work. I’ve had a great experience with everyone involved—from customer service to Cory to Chris. It’s not easy to find such dependable and dedicated employees these days, and it really shows. Pipe Wrench, you’ve got some great people on your team. I hope management recognizes what a valuable group they have!

We had My Plumber install a dog wash sink in our garage, which required opening the drywall behind our existing laundry room sink to tie into the water and drain lines. Jimmy and Jared did a fantastic job from start to finish. They were professional, efficient, neat, and very respectful of our home. They showed up in uniform, were friendly and polite throughout the entire process, and left the work area very clean when they were done. I also really appreciated receiving a text with a photo of the technicians before they arrived, which was a nice touch and made the whole experience feel very professional. On top of that, the price was excellent for the quality of work and service we received. Overall, this was an excellent experience, and I would highly recommend My Plumber. Five stars!

Amazing service. Pipes were completely clogged with roots effecting the entire house. Jacob came out and found the problem rather quickly. He brought his team out with Bill , Joey , Isaiah, Caden and Jared . All of them were very kind and hard working. They really seemed to enjoy their trade. Working long hours through the 3 days of a mess we had going on for our house. They took pictures and videos , proving what the problem was. It's hard to find people that wanna work and not rip you off , for a service you desperately need , worked on. Jacob explained everything going on in great detail and helped us understand everything. Thank you all so much for the help. Trust worthy employees like Jacob make this company worth hiring for the JOB.

We are beyond thrilled with our new Halo H2 Zero whole home water filtration system installed by Cayden and Bryce with My Professional Plumber! Now we no longer have fear of toxic chlorine and mineral buildup in our water! Cayden and Bryce are very knowledgeable, professional and friendly and had our new system in place within a 1/2 days time! This new system is 10 years maintenance free which is cost saving not having to buy water filters constantly. It also saves on appliances and water heater replacement due to the fact this system removes any minerals from building up! We are 100% satisfied and highly recommend the system and My Professional Plumber!

Anthony Branham, My Proffessional Plumber is a true professional. "I cannot recommend My Professional Plumber enough! The crew—Anthony, Brice, Jimmie, Stretch, and Joey—were absolutely outstanding. They handled a major list of projects for our home, including installing a tankless water heater, gas lines, and a pressure regulator valve, as well as repairing a shower drain. From the moment they arrived, they were professional, prompt, and incredibly courteous. What really stood out was their communication; they walked us through every step of the process before they even started working. It’s rare to find a team that is this thorough and respectful of your home. If you want the job done right by a crew that cares, these are the guys to call!" They are Professional, Prompt, and Highly Recommended!

Jacob C. was a polite, professional, and hard-working young man. He took the time to explain the possible reasons our kitchen sink was backing up and clearly went over each repair option and its cost before starting any work. Throughout the process, he kept us informed, confirmed the repair more than once to make sure everything was working properly, and even showed me the massive clog he removed. Honest, thorough, and respectful from start to finish — we were very pleased with the service and would gladly recommend him.

I had an excellent experience working with Anthony and could not recommend him more. I needed a leaky faucet replaced, a tankless water heater flush, and the installation of a soft water tank and full house filter. I initially had another plumbing company come out and was quoted a very high price, so I reached out to Anthony for a second opinion. Anthony responded immediately and took the time to walk me through the entire process, explaining my options clearly and honestly. He was extremely friendly, professional, and personable, and made the whole experience stress free. His work was top notch and I truly appreciated his transparency and willingness to help. I will absolutely be using Anthony for any future plumbing needs.

Knoxville Pluming sounded very professional on the the phone. Upon arrival, very scripted and very sales driven. I was sold on the flashy videos and brochures. I didn't take the time I should have to read all the reviews, big mistake! They replaced the sewer pipe from the house to the road and in the process damaged our Japanese Maple, valued at $3,000+. I understand they have to dig near the tree but no one called or mentioned that their the heavy equipment they where using may come into contact with the tree or worse, possibility damage it. I called the service manager Brett to discuss the matter. We had been out of town during the repair. After I reported the damage, Brett made the accusation that I was trying to avoid paying the remaining balance on my account. After arguing with him for several minutes. I agreed to pay the balance. He said he would send a tree specialist out to have a look. After the tree specialist met with me he was of the opinion. that the root system was 30% damaged and the branches were needlessly damaged as well. He recommended having the tree treated to prevent fungus and further damages. Brett diffused responsibility, severely lacked customer vision and refused to treat the tree as recommended by the tree company or offer any solutions to remediate the damages. I would strongly suggest finding another plumbing company to do your work.

I recently had plumbing work done. Water heater replacement and shower fixtures replace. Daniel was very professional and answered all questions I had. The work was accomplished in a timely manner and all work areas were clean when he finished. The finished product is awesome. He had a young man with him, Dekota. He was also very professional and courteous. I would highly recommend them and will use them again in the future.

Hard Knox Plumbing did a great job helping me with a plumbing issue at one of my rental properties in Knoxville. They were responsive, professional, and clear with their pricing and scope of work. They diagnosed the issue, installed a pressure regulating valve, replaced the failed shower cartridge, checked for leaks, and provided a clear invoice with warranty information. I appreciated their communication, fair pricing, and willingness to work with me to keep the repair scope practical and reasonable. I would recommend Hard Knox Plumbing to other property owners and homeowners looking for dependable plumbing service in the Knoxville area.

Adam and Kevin did a great job! Adam was referred to us by a friend and I’m so glad he was. We recently moved into a home and found out the inspector didn’t reveal that the tankless hot water heater was too small for the house so we had trouble getting hot water when we needed it. Also there were several pin hole leaks in the pipes, undersized pipes and other plumbing issues that we were unaware of from the inspection. Adam diagnosed the problems and installed a much larger tankless hot water heater and fixed a constantly running toilet within a few hours. Now we have instant hot water! They also came back a few days later and replaced all the undersized, leaking copper pipes under the house with pex. We are so thankful for the fast and efficient service Xpress Plumbing Service provided for us. We’ll be calling Adam for all our plumbing needs in the future.

Professional Drain Cleaning in Oak Ridge, Tennessee

Tucked into the ridges of East Tennessee, Oak Ridge—famously known as the 'Secret City'—has a unique mix of historic Manhattan Project-era 'Alphabet Houses' and modern developments near Melton Lake. Whether you are living in a classic home with original iron pipes or a newer construction, a clogged drain can bring your household to a standstill. Finding a reliable plumber shouldn't be a mystery in the Secret City, yet many residents find themselves calling multiple shops only to be told they are booked for weeks.

Our service changes the game for Oak Ridge residents. We don’t just give you a list of names; we actively scan our network of certified plumbers across Anderson and Roane counties, filtering specifically for those serving your zip code. We then take the extra step of calling them to verify they have a technician available to handle your drain emergency today. By the time you get the recommendation, we’ve already confirmed they are ready to work, saving you time and frustration.

From slow-draining sinks in older neighborhoods to major sewer line backups near the Tech Park, we ensure you get connected with a professional who knows the local infrastructure. Our 24-hour availability verification means that whether it’s a Tuesday morning or a Saturday night, we are working behind the scenes to find the help you need in Oak Ridge.

Common Drain Issues in Oak Ridge, Tennessee

Historic Pipe Decay: Many of the original homes built in the 1940s and 50s in Oak Ridge still feature older cast iron or galvanized steel pipes. Over time, these materials suffer from internal scaling and corrosion, which catches debris and leads to chronic, stubborn clogs that a simple plunger can't fix.

Invasive Tree Roots: Oak Ridge is renowned for its lush green canopy and mature oak trees. While beautiful, these massive root systems are constantly seeking moisture and frequently infiltrate older sewer lines through small cracks, causing massive backups that require professional hydro-jetting or rooter services.

Hard Water Mineral Buildup: Tennessee's karst topography and limestone-rich environment can lead to mineral deposits within your plumbing. Over several years, these deposits narrow the diameter of your pipes, especially in high-use areas like shower drains and water heater outlets, leading to sluggish drainage throughout the home.

Kitchen Grease and Sediment: With a strong local culture of home cooking, Oak Ridge kitchens often fall victim to FOG (Fats, Oils, and Grease). When these substances cool inside your pipes, they solidify and trap food particles, eventually creating a 'fatberg' that can completely seal off your kitchen's drainage system.

Seasonal Drain Maintenance Tips for Oak Ridge, Tennessee

Spring Rain Preparation: Oak Ridge sees significant rainfall in the spring. Ensure your basement floor drains and outdoor area drains are clear of debris to prevent localized flooding during heavy East Tennessee downpours.

Summer Root Growth: The warm, wet Tennessee summers are peak growing season for trees. If you have noticed your drains slowing down during the summer months, it may be time for a preventative sewer line inspection before roots cause a total collapse.

Autumn Leaf Management: As the 'City of Oaks,' the leaf fall here is intense. Make sure your external drain grates and gutter downspouts are cleared regularly to prevent clogs in your home's perimeter drainage system.

Winter Freeze Protection: While East Tennessee winters are generally mild, we do have sudden cold snaps. Ensure any pipes located on exterior walls are properly insulated, as frozen pipes can lead to cracks that become major drainage leaks once the thaw begins.

Average Drain Cleaning Costs in Oak Ridge, Tennessee

$165-$485

The cost for drain cleaning in Oak Ridge typically depends on the severity of the clog, the location of the blockage (e.g., a simple sink trap vs. a main sewer line), and whether specialized equipment like a camera inspection or hydro-jetter is required.

Frequently Asked Questions about Drain Cleaning in Oak Ridge, Tennessee

How quickly can I get a plumber to my house in Oak Ridge?

Because we call and verify availability before you ever pick up the phone, we can often find a plumber who can be at your Oak Ridge home on the same day. Our zipcode-specific filtering ensures we find the closest technician currently on the clock.

Do you service both the Anderson and Roane County sides of Oak Ridge?

Yes! Our network covers the entire 37830 and 37831 zip codes, including neighborhoods in both Anderson and Roane counties. We filter specifically by your zip code to ensure local service.

What is the most common cause of clogged drains in Oak Ridge?

In the older 'alphabet houses,' it is usually a combination of pipe scale and tree root intrusion. In newer areas near the West End, we see more typical clogs like grease buildup or hair in bathroom drains.

Are emergency drain cleaning services available 24/7?

Yes. We specialize in 24-hour availability verification. If you have a midnight backup, we scan our network to see which Oak Ridge plumbers are actually answering their phones and ready to dispatch a truck.

Will I have to pay extra for you to find a plumber for me?

Our verification and filtering service is designed to save you time and stress. We help you skip the line by finding out who is actually available to work in Oak Ridge right now, so you don't have to spend an hour making calls.
