Fran Harding Plumbing
12745 Clifton Rd, Savannah, TN 38372, USA
(731) 438-7605Friendly staff. Good, fried Catfish and sides. Hometown atmosphere was very welcoming to my wife and me, seeing as how we are Newcomers. We have eaten at Molly Monday's four times in two weeks. Other than fries being cool on one occasion, it's always hot n yummy!
2 years agoThis man charged us $350.00 for replacing broken water line from hot water heater and fixing two outside faucets. Took excessive time and charged excessive for it. Remains to be seen if his work will hold up or not. Would not recommend.
9 years agoFran always did good work for us. Last I heard, he was very sick. I hope he has survived.

265 Edna St, Savannah, TN 38372, USA
(731) 926-1111I called on a Monday morning about a clogged line. He told me maybe Monday afternoon but most likely he would be out Tues. I called Tues morning to confirm, no answer and left a message. Never called me back. I called again Weds morning, no answer, left a message again no return call. I called Thurs, and ....you guessed it, no answer, left a message no return call. Not happy at all but I am finding this work ethic a lot in the area I live in. Now I am still can't use the toilet and back to the phone lines we go on Monday.
3 years agoCalled Mr Dennis Within an hour he had someone on the way to fix tub drainage issue, reasonable price, And a friendly employee Lucas I think was his name, sorry if I didn’t remember correctly, not good with remembering names most of the time. 4 years agoRude and unprofessional. Reached out bc Angi’s list pro dropped us at 4:30pm. Called back Friday & asked if he’d formerly contracted with Lowe’s. Smarted it off he never did. We asked if he could put in a toilet & quoted $100-150. He said he could do it but he wanted to see what we had. Texted him a photo and all he said was “good choice.” Finally gets back with us on Sunday to ask if 9-9:30am Monday is fine. Not really but I want the toilet put in. So I get up, get the toilet cleaned out of water. At 9:15 he asks for my address & says he’ll be 30 minutes. I texted, no answer at 10:46. Tried calling twice and it said his voicemail had not been set up which is nonsense bc we left him a VM on Friday. Willing to bet bc he’s an Angi’s list pro he ducked out for that appointment. The Angi’s list appointment is almost $100 more than what he quoted. Jokes on him, I got refunded for the Angi’s List/Lowe’s install & paid my friend instead.

(731) 925-2010Excellent friendly service. Sells to the general public Will definitely drive the hour one way for parts in the future!
5 months agoGreat staff, very helpful. A bit pricey but if you have doubts or questions on what ya need....these guys will know or find out w accuracy. Good luck getting valuable service like that at the conglomerates like Lowes.
2 years agoGenerally, they have always had what I needed: I am renovating a home and need plumbing & electrical "stuff" from time to time. I was disappointed today, though, when I was informed by the counter person that they don't stock any black steel pipe in 1-1/2" diameter longer than 6". He said the Adamsville store wouldn't have longer pipe either. That seems "odd" for a plumbing supply store.

Common Drain Issues in Clifton, Tennessee
River-Adjacent Soil Shifting: Properties near the Tennessee River often experience subtle soil movement. This shifting can cause older sewer lines to belly or crack, leading to recurring slow drains and stubborn backups that require professional attention.
Hard Water Scale Build-up: Like much of Middle Tennessee, Clifton homes often deal with hard water. Over time, mineral deposits build up inside your pipes, narrowing the passage and making it easier for hair and soap scum to create a total blockage.
Historic Piping Issues: Many of Clifton's most beautiful homes feature original cast iron or even clay piping. These aging materials are prone to internal corrosion and 'snagging' debris, which eventually leads to deep-seated clogs that standard plunger methods can't fix.
Tree Root Intrusion: The lush, green landscape of Wayne County is a point of pride, but those thirsty tree roots are drawn to the moisture in your sewer lines. We frequently see roots penetrating joints in older pipes, causing major obstructions that require specialized equipment to clear.
Silt and Outdoor Drainage: After heavy Tennessee rainstorms, silt and organic debris from the river valley can wash into outdoor floor drains and basement entries, causing localized flooding if the drainage system isn't perfectly clear.
Seasonal Drain Maintenance Tips for Clifton, Tennessee
Spring Pipe Inspection: Following the heavy spring rains common in Clifton, check your basement and crawl space for any signs of slow drainage, as rising water tables can put extra pressure on your sewer line.
Summer Maintenance: With increased outdoor activity and river outings, ensure your garbage disposal isn't being overwhelmed with fibrous vegetable scraps or grease from summer fish fries, which are major culprits for kitchen clogs.
Fall Leaf Clearing: Keep your outdoor drains and gutter downspouts clear of the heavy leaf fall we see in Wayne County to prevent water from backing up and putting stress on your home's perimeter drainage.
Winter Freeze Protection: During Clifton's cold snaps, ensure your pipes are properly insulated. Small cracks from previous clogs can expand during a freeze, leading to significant leaks and drainage failures once the thaw begins.
Average Drain Cleaning Costs in Clifton, Tennessee
In Clifton, the cost for professional drain cleaning generally ranges based on the severity and location of the clog. A simple sink or toilet snake is on the lower end, while main sewer line clearing or hydro-jetting services represent the higher end of the scale.
Frequently Asked Questions about Drain Cleaning in Clifton, Tennessee
How do you find a plumber in Clifton so quickly?
We maintain a verified network of local Tennessee plumbers. When you contact us, we filter these by your Clifton zip code and physically call them to verify they have a technician available to head to your home immediately.
Are there 24-hour drain cleaning services available in Clifton, TN?
Yes. Our service specifically looks for 24-hour availability. We know that a backed-up sewer line near the river doesn't always happen during business hours, so we prioritize verifying pros who offer emergency response.
What is the most common cause of clogged drains in Clifton?
Due to the age of many local homes and the mineral content in the water, we find that a combination of hard water scale and aging galvanized or iron pipes are the most common causes of drainage issues in the area.
Do I need hydro-jetting for my Clifton home?
If you have recurring clogs caused by tree roots or heavy grease buildup, hydro-jetting is often the best solution. When we call to verify a plumber for you, we can check if they have this specific equipment available.
Can you help with drain issues near the Clifton Marina area?
Absolutely. Our zip code filtering covers the entire Clifton area, ensuring that whether you are right by the water or further inland, we find the closest available plumber to your door.
