I called them on December 23 with a very slow washing machine drain. They sent Lawrence to look at the job and give me an estimate. Planned to install a service sink and pump to pump out into main sewer line on December 30. He arrived promptly on time and Marc, the owner met him here with the sink and pump. It was more work than he expected, so he stayed and help until he had to go meet an inspector on another job. Lawrence finished the job and cleaned up everything afterwards. They actually forgot to install the straps to anchor the piping, so I called them the next morning and they had completed the work before noon on the 31st. I was very impressed with their work and professional service. They have another satisfied customer !! Thanks again Bob S

The work done by Lawrence from Marc Francis plumbing was on time prepared to do the job and had all items stocked so no matter what I asked him to fix he did right away. I would recommend him and this company for your plumbing needs. They guarantee their work which is hard to find. I had an expansion tank put in and pressure reducer valve and galvanized parts removed because of lead containment and they rust out quickly. He replaced the two I had. Did a really good job!

I work in vacation rentals and had one of our guest call reported a main line back up. I called Roto-Rooter and spoke with one of the office reps, I think her name was Sharon, she was wonderful. We were lucky enough to get same day service and they were out and on site in a couple of hours. Our service tech was named Dustin and he was very nice and helpful when I met him at property. They were able to clear the blockage in about an hour. All in all very good service and I will be using them again if needed in the future.

2 roto rooter trucks completely blocked my road to through traffic this morning on a call for my neighbor for over 30 minutes. I was completely blocked in for 15 minutes, finally some one trying to get up the road laid on their horn until they moved. Then the guy had the audacity to pull a truck into the end of my driveway inches from the back of my car and turn it off and start to get out like he had the right to use my driveway and block me in! They never even came to the door to ask or explain what was going on. I had to scream at him to get him to move it off of my property. They acted like they owned the road. These 2 jokesters need to be fired. EDIT: I spoke with the owner this morning on the phone. I see their response. They are not only incorrect about the time, these jokesters had no reason to block the entire road and my driveway for 45 MINUTES, not 15. I have the entire incident on video with timestamps. There was parking across the street and at the front of their customer's house. They picked the narrowest part of the road to park their vehicles like they owned it. Then proceeded to pull into MY DRIVEWAY and park blocking me in like they owned it as well. My neighbor is a muscular man who had no reason not to have his driveway shoveled himself, it was LAZINESS on his part. I cannot believe they praised their plumbers for shoveling a driveway on their payroll when it was absolutely unnecessary.

Outstanding Service from Roto-Rooter! I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Roto-Rooter. From start to finish, the service was excellent, professional, and fast. Our technician, Isaias, was absolutely fantastic—knowledgeable, courteous, and incredibly efficient. He clearly explained what was going on, walked us through the solution, and worked quickly while still being thorough. It’s rare to find someone who combines expertise with such a great attitude, but Isaias truly delivered. If you’re looking for top-notch service and a technician you can trust, ask for Isaias at Roto-Rooter. Racing to help and excellent all the way around!

I had a clogged washing machine drain that happened during a holiday weekend. They got to me first thing Monday morning as promised and told me what needed to be done and what it would cost in just a few. minutes. They also replaced the water supply cut in and valve at my request. It was well done and timely. I feel I got good service at a fair price and the guys were friendly and knowledgeable. I recommend them highly. I’ll use them again. M P

Slone’s has been amazing!! We just moved here and started having septic issues right away. They were super knowledgeable and got to the root cause quickly. Turns out our entire leach field was busted!! They just finished installing the new field and we cannot be more relieved. Each of the guys took the time to answer our questions and teach us how to properly maintain our system. Even though it’s been a really stressful time in our lives, Slone’s has made this a great experience. We will be doing business with them for years to come and definitely recommend their awesome work!

They were within the time frame, polite, clean, and did Temporarily fix the issue. This is meeting average expectations from any service provider. However they tried to Upsale me on a product I knew was not needed. Even after I discussed with them that it had just been replaced, they stayed the course trying to push the product. I, like you, am looking for a provider I can trust not just with the service but also with my best interest and my wallet. At this point, Slone's Plumbing does not fit that bill. Keep scrolling friends and neighbors, there are plumbers in our area I have given excellent reviews to for their above and beyond work. Do better Slone's Plumbing.

I got 3 quotes and Frazier was the only reasonable one. Hometown wanted to charge me $3500 for the water heater. Tommie's plumbing wanted $2500. Fraizer charged me less than $1700. He did such a good job. I had him fix my leaky toilet, fix a drain, a faucet, and put in our new toilet and bidet. He is a good Christian man with reasonable prices without an overinflated marketing budget. I am going to get a reverse osmosis filter in soon and Andrew Fraizer will be the one who gets my business. I highly recommend him. A good honest Christian man is rare nowadays. I don't have to worry about him ripping me and my family off. 10 stars.

If I could give negative stars, I would. This man is flat-out dangerous and has no business doing any kind of installation work. I paid him $11,000 to install a water heater, and what he did was beyond unacceptable — it was straight negligence. He drilled screws directly into the water heater, didn’t even bother to shut off the water, and ended up flooding my entire property. The amount of damage he caused was unbelievable. When I confronted him and asked for a refund, he tried to play games saying he’d “pay in installments.” He never paid a single dollar back. I had to take him to court because he refused to take responsibility for the disaster he created. This isn’t just bad service — it’s reckless, unprofessional, and totally dishonest. Do NOT hire him under any circumstances. He will take your money, ruin your property, and leave you with the mess.

If negative stars were possible, this man would deserve all of them. Hiring him was one of the biggest mistakes I’ve ever made. I paid him $11,000 for a water heater installation, and what he delivered wasn’t just bad — it was dangerous and completely incompetent. He drilled screws directly into the water heater, didn’t even shut off the water, and ended up flooding my entire property. The damage was unbelievable. When I asked for my money back, he tried to play it off saying he’d “pay in installments” — which, of course, he never did. I had to take him to court just to even get him to respond. And the worst part? He’s now posting on Facebook and Google Maps pretending he did a perfect installation, lying to everyone to look professional. In my personal opinion, someone who works like this shouldn’t even have a license, and the person he brought with him didn’t seem licensed at all. This is not a contractor — this is someone who will take your money, ruin your property, and then lie about it. Do NOT hire him under any circumstances.

I had such a good experience with Hometown Plumbing from the very start. I was able to get service the very next day and the professionals that came out to work on my home were excellent. James did a great job of explaining everything that was going on Nic continued working late into the evening to get our water back on. He even returned to fill the trench and finish up all the final touches. Great service overall and I've very happy with what I've experienced.

We recently hired Pink Duck for a septic and plumbing inspection on a house we are considering buying, and we are so grateful we did! Manuel walked us through everything he was checking, explained any potential issues, and gave us helpful advice on what maintenance and repairs would cost. He was very knowledgeable, personable and took his time making sure he checked everything we asked for. It really gave us peace of mind during the home buying process. If you need an inspection on a home I cannot recommend them enough! They were quick to schedule us during our inspection window and helped us make an informed decision on this home. We will be keeping them on our list for future repairs.

Tennessee Plumbing was recommended to us as we were having gas installed at the home we recently bought. Tim, the owner gave us an estimate to do all the work. He recommended products and ordered the right parts for our tankless water heater as well. Michael, who with Kevin assisting part of the time, did excellent work despite various "surprises" the old house had for us. He was very nice, professional, and thorough and stayed late more than once to make sure we had hot water that day after. Great company, great owner, great staff. Highly recommended!

We can’t say enough good things about TN Plumbing. You seriously don’t need to look any further than this company. We had a very complicated job with multiple contractors that had to be coordinated around each other (new gas line installation, roof ventilation, electrical, etc.). We now have an amazing gas range, endless gas hot water heater, and gas logs). Michael, our technician was a total gem - professional, patient, kind. There are not enough positive adjectives to describe him! You will not be disappointed with this amazing company!

Professional Drain Cleaning in Kingsport, Tennessee

Kingsport, a centerpiece of the Tri-Cities area, is known for its beautiful mountain views and historic neighborhoods. However, the rolling terrain and varying age of homes—from mid-century bungalows near the city center to newer developments in Indian Springs—can lead to diverse plumbing challenges. Whether you're dealing with a slow kitchen sink or a backed-up main line near the Holston River, finding a reliable plumber shouldn't be a game of phone tag.

Our service revolutionizes how Kingsport residents handle plumbing emergencies. Instead of calling through a directory of local plumbers yourself, we do the legwork. We filter our network of certified experts by your exact zip code and personally verify who is ready to head to your door right now. We confirm they have the tools and time to solve your drain issue today, saving you time and stress in the Model City.

Common Drain Issues in Kingsport, Tennessee

Hard Water Buildup: Many Kingsport homes deal with mineral deposits from the local water supply. Over time, calcium and magnesium can narrow your pipes, leading to chronic slow drains that standard store-bought cleaners simply cannot dissolve.

Root Intrusion in Older Neighborhoods: In established areas like Borden Park or Fairacres, mature trees are a hallmark of the landscape. Unfortunately, those roots often find their way into aging clay or cast iron sewer pipes, causing massive blockages and potential backups that require professional intervention.

Industrial Area Sediment: For residents living near Kingsport’s industrial zones, unique sediment or environmental factors can occasionally impact residential drainage systems. This often requires professional-grade hydro-jetting to fully restore the flow of the main sewer line.

Aging Infrastructure: Kingsport’s history means many homes still have original plumbing that is reaching the end of its functional lifespan. Corrosion and internal pipe collapse are common issues that often manifest first as recurring clogs before becoming major household emergencies.

Seasonal Drain Maintenance Tips for Kingsport, Tennessee

Fall Leaf Management: As the leaves drop in East Tennessee, ensure your outdoor drains and gutters are clear. Clogged exterior drains can lead to water backing up into your basement or crawlspace during heavy autumn rains.

Winter Pipe Protection: Kingsport winters can see deep freezes. Ensure your pipes are insulated, particularly those on exterior walls, to prevent freezing and subsequent bursts that can lead to catastrophic drain failures when the thaw begins.

Spring Storm Prep: With the heavy spring rains common in the Appalachian region, check your sump pump and floor drains. A quick professional inspection can ensure your system is ready for the seasonal increase in water volume.

Holiday Grease Control: During the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons, avoid pouring fats and grease down your kitchen sink. The cool Tennessee temperatures cause grease to solidify quickly in your pipes, leading to holiday plumbing disasters.

Average Drain Cleaning Costs in Kingsport, Tennessee

$125-$450

Prices in Kingsport vary based on the severity of the clog and the equipment required. A simple snake service for a localized clog is affordable, while hydro-jetting or main line repairs involving camera inspections will fall on the higher end of the scale.

Frequently Asked Questions about Drain Cleaning in Kingsport, Tennessee

Is hydro-jetting necessary for Tennessee homes?
