Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Service
3B Charter Ct, Johnson City, TN 37604, USA
(423) 397-7686I work in vacation rentals and had one of our guest call reported a main line back up. I called Roto-Rooter and spoke with one of the office reps, I think her name was Sharon, she was wonderful. We were lucky enough to get same day service and they were out and on site in a couple of hours. Our service tech was named Dustin and he was very nice and helpful when I met him at property. They were able to clear the blockage in about an hour. All in all very good service and I will be using them again if needed in the future.
4 months ago2 roto rooter trucks completely blocked my road to through traffic this morning on a call for my neighbor for over 30 minutes. I was completely blocked in for 15 minutes, finally some one trying to get up the road laid on their horn until they moved. Then the guy had the audacity to pull a truck into the end of my driveway inches from the back of my car and turn it off and start to get out like he had the right to use my driveway and block me in! They never even came to the door to ask or explain what was going on. I had to scream at him to get him to move it off of my property. They acted like they owned the road. These 2 jokesters need to be fired. EDIT: I spoke with the owner this morning on the phone. I see their response. They are not only incorrect about the time, these jokesters had no reason to block the entire road and my driveway for 45 MINUTES, not 15. I have the entire incident on video with timestamps. There was parking across the street and at the front of their customer's house. They picked the narrowest part of the road to park their vehicles like they owned it. Then proceeded to pull into MY DRIVEWAY and park blocking me in like they owned it as well. My neighbor is a muscular man who had no reason not to have his driveway shoveled himself, it was LAZINESS on his part. I cannot believe they praised their plumbers for shoveling a driveway on their payroll when it was absolutely unnecessary.
4 months agoOutstanding Service from Roto-Rooter! I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Roto-Rooter. From start to finish, the service was excellent, professional, and fast. Our technician, Isaias, was absolutely fantastic—knowledgeable, courteous, and incredibly efficient. He clearly explained what was going on, walked us through the solution, and worked quickly while still being thorough. It’s rare to find someone who combines expertise with such a great attitude, but Isaias truly delivered. If you’re looking for top-notch service and a technician you can trust, ask for Isaias at Roto-Rooter. Racing to help and excellent all the way around!

1019 Quality Cir, Johnson City, TN 37615, USA
(423) 406-6577I called them on December 23 with a very slow washing machine drain. They sent Lawrence to look at the job and give me an estimate. Planned to install a service sink and pump to pump out into main sewer line on December 30. He arrived promptly on time and Marc, the owner met him here with the sink and pump. It was more work than he expected, so he stayed and help until he had to go meet an inspector on another job. Lawrence finished the job and cleaned up everything afterwards. They actually forgot to install the straps to anchor the piping, so I called them the next morning and they had completed the work before noon on the 31st. I was very impressed with their work and professional service. They have another satisfied customer !! Thanks again Bob S
5 months agoMarc and his son are AMAZING! Best plumbing experience we have had by far. They are friendly and efficient and did their job professionally and with excellence! They fixed our sink drain perfectly!! Would highly recommend!!
3 months agoThe work done by Lawrence from Marc Francis plumbing was on time prepared to do the job and had all items stocked so no matter what I asked him to fix he did right away. I would recommend him and this company for your plumbing needs. They guarantee their work which is hard to find. I had an expansion tank put in and pressure reducer valve and galvanized parts removed because of lead containment and they rust out quickly. He replaced the two I had. Did a really good job!

3 months agoI had such a good experience with Hometown Plumbing from the very start. I was able to get service the very next day and the professionals that came out to work on my home were excellent. James did a great job of explaining everything that was going on Nic continued working late into the evening to get our water back on. He even returned to fill the trench and finish up all the final touches. Great service overall and I've very happy with what I've experienced.

(423) 915-6356I called David on a Saturday morning after arriving to my parents house the previous night. Their HVAC unit outside was making a metal on metal noise and there was the smell of a slow electrical burn. He came over within the hour & assessed the situation. On Monday, him and his team showed up with a new system and did an amazing job with installing the new system & hauling the old one away. In addition, he was able to have an electrician come out & relabel the fuse box for them. I will definitely recommend them to others! Professional, courteous and time efficient.
2 months agoHad my heat pump go out. Gave them a call and they was on it right away. Got me fixed back up and couldn't be happier with the service! Highly recommend!!
7 months agoThis company is the best. They installed a heat pump. They hooked everything thing up and had it running the best it ever has. They are very respectful and look out for the clients. They will help anyway they can give them a call first.

356 Keenburg Rd, Bluff City, TN 37618, USA
(423) 863-1331Amazing! Let me start out by saying Jackson is a very respectful, professional, helpful, and caring man. The hot water line going to the whole house had a pin hole in it and thanks to him it's fixed. He didn't hesitate to help me and was very responsive. I have hot water throughout my house again because of him. I'm saving his number in my phone because he is and will be my plumber forever. I couldn't be more grateful for him. If I could give him more than 5 stars it would be maxed out. Definitely give him a call if you need help with your plumbing you won't regret it. Thank you again for helping me.
5 months agoI called because my water heater wasn't working. Jackson came over that afternoon. He was polite, professional and patient. He did a thorough check and it turned out to be an electrical issue. I would recommend him anytime.
3 months agoHad a leak spring up, contacted Mid Mountain Plumbing and received help the same day. Not only were they prompt, but they explained things to me, someone who knows nothing about plumbing, in terms I could understand. On top of that they saved me a TON of time and trouble by fixing the problem without the need to cut into any walls or the ceiling below the bathroom. Best plumber around the tri cities area, give them a call and see for yourself!
11 months agoFrazier Plumbing,INC
123 Dail St Ste B, Blountville, TN 37617, USA
(423) 530-3538I got 3 quotes and Frazier was the only reasonable one. Hometown wanted to charge me $3500 for the water heater. Tommie's plumbing wanted $2500. Fraizer charged me less than $1700. He did such a good job. I had him fix my leaky toilet, fix a drain, a faucet, and put in our new toilet and bidet. He is a good Christian man with reasonable prices without an overinflated marketing budget. I am going to get a reverse osmosis filter in soon and Andrew Fraizer will be the one who gets my business. I highly recommend him. A good honest Christian man is rare nowadays. I don't have to worry about him ripping me and my family off. 10 stars.
4 months agoIf I could give negative stars, I would. This man is flat-out dangerous and has no business doing any kind of installation work. I paid him $11,000 to install a water heater, and what he did was beyond unacceptable — it was straight negligence. He drilled screws directly into the water heater, didn’t even bother to shut off the water, and ended up flooding my entire property. The amount of damage he caused was unbelievable. When I confronted him and asked for a refund, he tried to play games saying he’d “pay in installments.” He never paid a single dollar back. I had to take him to court because he refused to take responsibility for the disaster he created. This isn’t just bad service — it’s reckless, unprofessional, and totally dishonest. Do NOT hire him under any circumstances. He will take your money, ruin your property, and leave you with the mess.
6 months agoIf negative stars were possible, this man would deserve all of them. Hiring him was one of the biggest mistakes I’ve ever made. I paid him $11,000 for a water heater installation, and what he delivered wasn’t just bad — it was dangerous and completely incompetent. He drilled screws directly into the water heater, didn’t even shut off the water, and ended up flooding my entire property. The damage was unbelievable. When I asked for my money back, he tried to play it off saying he’d “pay in installments” — which, of course, he never did. I had to take him to court just to even get him to respond. And the worst part? He’s now posting on Facebook and Google Maps pretending he did a perfect installation, lying to everyone to look professional. In my personal opinion, someone who works like this shouldn’t even have a license, and the person he brought with him didn’t seem licensed at all. This is not a contractor — this is someone who will take your money, ruin your property, and then lie about it. Do NOT hire him under any circumstances.

104 Dillow Cir, Kingsport, TN 37663, USA
(423) 732-3825We recently hired Pink Duck for a septic and plumbing inspection on a house we are considering buying, and we are so grateful we did! Manuel walked us through everything he was checking, explained any potential issues, and gave us helpful advice on what maintenance and repairs would cost. He was very knowledgeable, personable and took his time making sure he checked everything we asked for. It really gave us peace of mind during the home buying process. If you need an inspection on a home I cannot recommend them enough! They were quick to schedule us during our inspection window and helped us make an informed decision on this home. We will be keeping them on our list for future repairs.
6 months agoI needed an outdoor faucet repaired as well as one installed in my basement. They arrived within the time frame specified. The work was done by someone who loves their job. Would highly recommend! I enjoyed the pink duck that was left behind too :)

(423) 219-5190Omg..I would give him a 10 if I could! Very professional and he explained everything to me. It looks amazing and I'm going to just keep looking at the work and my water heater! I would highly recommend Tennessee Plumbing to everybody! I'm so excited! Thank you so much! Complete plumbing re-do plus water heater!
3 months agoTennessee Plumbing was recommended to us as we were having gas installed at the home we recently bought. Tim, the owner gave us an estimate to do all the work. He recommended products and ordered the right parts for our tankless water heater as well. Michael, who with Kevin assisting part of the time, did excellent work despite various "surprises" the old house had for us. He was very nice, professional, and thorough and stayed late more than once to make sure we had hot water that day after. Great company, great owner, great staff. Highly recommended!
6 months agoWe can’t say enough good things about TN Plumbing. You seriously don’t need to look any further than this company. We had a very complicated job with multiple contractors that had to be coordinated around each other (new gas line installation, roof ventilation, electrical, etc.). We now have an amazing gas range, endless gas hot water heater, and gas logs). Michael, our technician was a total gem - professional, patient, kind. There are not enough positive adjectives to describe him! You will not be disappointed with this amazing company!

(423) 831-3606I would like to thank Tommy’s Plumbing and the crew of individuals that arrived at my home to repair a water leak in my yard. The team was efficient & respectful. After finishing the repair, they seeded and laid hay over the area that had to be dug up. They relaid a large chunk of sidewalk that had to be removed and swept up all debrie from sidewalk and driveway. I was very impressed with their work ethics and cleanup. If you need a plumber, make sure to call Tommy’s Plumbing.

8 months agoProfessional Drain Cleaning in Johnson City, Tennessee
Finding a reliable plumber in the Tri-Cities area shouldn't feel like a full-time job. Whether you're dealing with a backed-up sink in a historic home near the Tree Streets or a slow-draining shower in a newer development by ETSU, Johnson City residents need quick, professional solutions. Our service takes the guesswork out of the process by vetting local experts specifically for your neighborhood.
Instead of you spending your afternoon calling around and hearing 'we're booked until next week,' we do the legwork for you. We maintain a network of the top certified plumbers across Washington, Carter, and Sullivan counties. Once you provide your location, we filter for the closest pros and personally call them to verify they have a technician available to head to your Johnson City home right now.
Common Drain Issues in Johnson City, Tennessee
Root Intrusion in Historic Neighborhoods: In many of Johnson City’s older residential areas, mature oak and maple trees are a staple. However, their roots often seek out moisture in aging clay or cast-iron sewer lines, leading to stubborn blockages and potential pipe collapses that require professional snaking or hydro-jetting.
Hard Water Scale Buildup: East Tennessee is known for its limestone-rich geology, which often results in hard water. Over time, calcium and magnesium deposits can build up inside your pipes, narrowing the passage and making it easier for hair and soap scum to create a total blockage.
Student Housing High-Volume Usage: With a large student population near East Tennessee State University, many rental properties experience high-volume drain usage. This frequently leads to 'flushable' wipes, cooking grease, and foreign objects clogging main lines that weren't designed for such heavy daily traffic.
Outdated Infrastructure: From the downtown district to the North Side, Johnson City has a mix of infrastructure. Older plumbing systems are more prone to sagging pipes or 'bellies' where debris collects, requiring a professional eye to diagnose whether you need a simple cleaning or a more permanent pipe repair.
Seasonal Drain Maintenance Tips for Johnson City, Tennessee
Prepare for Fall Leaf Clogs: As the leaves drop in the Appalachian foothills, ensure your outdoor area drains and gutter downspouts are clear. Debris that enters the perimeter drainage system can cause water to back up into your crawlspace or basement during heavy TN rainstorms.
Winterize to Prevent Backups: While Johnson City isn't the Arctic, our winter freezes can cause exterior pipes to expand and contract. Keep your indoor drains flowing smoothly to prevent standing water from freezing inside a slow drain, which can lead to pipe bursts.
Spring Cleaning for Drains: After a winter of heavy indoor use, use the spring thaw to have your main line inspected. High-pressure hydro-jetting is a great way to clear out the grease and sludge that accumulated from those heavy winter holiday meals.
Summer High-Capacity Prep: With the kids home from school and summer guests visiting the Tweetsie Trail, your plumbing works overtime. Perform a quick check on your garbage disposal and laundry drains to ensure they are handling the increased load without sluggishness.
Average Drain Cleaning Costs in Johnson City, Tennessee
Pricing in Johnson City typically depends on the severity of the clog and the equipment needed. A simple sink snake is on the lower end, while main line hydro-jetting or camera inspections will fall on the higher end of the spectrum.
Frequently Asked Questions about Drain Cleaning in Johnson City, Tennessee
How quickly can a plumber get to my home in the Tree Streets neighborhood?
Because we filter by zip code and call to verify immediate availability, we can often find a technician who is already finishing a job in the downtown or Tree Streets area, frequently resulting in same-day service.
Do Johnson City plumbers offer emergency 24-hour drain cleaning?
Yes. Our service specifically targets plumbers in our Johnson City network who offer 24-hour availability. We call them first to make sure they are actually 'on-call' before we connect you.
Is hydro-jetting necessary for homes near ETSU?
In high-occupancy rental areas near the university, hydro-jetting is often the best solution for clearing out the heavy grease and debris buildup that standard snaking might just poke a hole through.
Will a plumber be able to handle the hard water deposits common in Johnson City?
Absolutely. The certified plumbers in our network are local to East Tennessee and come equipped with the proper descaling tools and chemicals to handle the specific mineral buildup caused by our local water supply.
What if I live in the Boones Creek area—are there plumbers available out there?
Yes! Our zip code filtering covers the entire Johnson City area, including Boones Creek, Gray, and Piney Flats. We verify that the plumber is willing to travel to your specific location before confirming the appointment.
