Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Service
2708 Exchange Dr Unit C, Wilmington, NC 28405, USA
(910) 408-4333Friendly, professional, and no nonsense. It seems like most businesses these days like to push replacement or services that aren’t needed, I already was 95% sure of the issue and had elements for the tank, but didn’t have time to wait for tank to drain and needed to get hot water going for new tenants. Jesse came in confirmed that the issue was one of the elements, let me know he could use the parts that I had on site but they just obviously couldn’t warranty the part, and then got to work. He did have to quote me on the replacement option, but this was a nonstarter given my tank is relatively new. Jesse didn’t push the issue. Much appreciated to have fast friendly service. While I would have preferred to take care of this myself, I felt the price ($250) was fair for his time and same day service. No cost for the to show up which is common practice, and he was on site for just over 2 hours so it came to under $125/hour. While it probably only took 10 minutes to replace the part, he had to wait around for the drain. My only complaint would be that he didn’t put the panels back on the tank, but chalking this up to him leaving it how he found it since I had already pulled these off.
1 month agoI recently had Roto-Rooter come out to address a sewer pipe issue, and my technician, Carey, was absolutely outstanding. Carey was incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and professional from start to finish. He took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure I understood what was going on every step of the way. His work ethic was impressive he was thorough, efficient, and truly went above and beyond to make sure the job was done right. I’m extremely grateful for his help and would 100% recommend him for any service. If you get Carey as your technician, you’re in great hands!
3 months agoWe experienced an urgent drain issue in the early morning hours on a Friday, concerned that we might have to go through a weekend experiencing issues, we contacted Roto-Rooter and they had technicians Carey Shaw & Lamar Hall out before 9am the same day. They successfully diagnosed the issue and began to work on a resolution. Both were very respectful, knowledgeable and professional and were able to complete the job efficiently. When we had the unfortunate situation to experience another plumbing situation (not urgent) that occurred the same weekend, we immediately contacted Roto-Rooter again and requested the same technicians to come out. They were able to be there first thing Monday morning. They diagnosed the issue quickly, but it was extensive and could not be corrected at that time. We got an appointment a week later and again technician Carey Shaw along with technician Jesse Jewell showed up prepared and ready to complete the extensive task ahead. Once again, both were professional & knowledgeable and completed the work efficiently. We will definitely contact Roto-Rooter again with any of our plumbing needs.
4 months agoCoastal Sewer and Drain
5830 Piney Branch Way SE, Leland, NC 28451, USA
(910) 515-4354Tom came over and assessed the sewer backup issue we had in our home and fixed it in a timely manner. He was knowledgeable, punctual, and very friendly. As you can imagine any kind of sewage issue in your home can be very stressful but Tom helped relieve a lot of that stress. Very thankful for Tom with Coastal Sewer and Drain!
4 months agoTom Buhler, professional plumber, came by today and fixed my leaky sink in less than 90 minutes. He arrived within 45 minutes of me contacting him through Thumbtack, diagnosed the issue for free, went out to get the part, and came back and fixed the problem. All within an hour and a half. I highly recommend Coastal Sewer and Drain.
1 month agoTom was at our house 30 minutes after our telephone call. He diagnosed the problem, cleaned out the line, identified the problem, took pictures inside the line and made recommendations to avoid future problems. He was professional, personable, and was through within an hour of his arrival. Excellent work, and I will be using his services for all future plumbing problems.
1 week agoDi Mone-Parlier Plumbing, Inc.
5903 Oleander Dr, Wilmington, NC 28403, USA
(910) 769-1838Such fantastic, quick, professional service! We were having problems with a water heater (element blew) and called them 9:30 am. They said they could be here between "now and noon"! Jayson (sp) and Frank arrived around 11 and quickly diagnosed the problems (element and thermostat). The water heater was 23 years old and they informed us that due to the age, they couldn't guarantee the repair would last, but would proceed to drain the heater and replace the parts if that was what we wanted, or replace the heater itself - no hard sell or pressure, just information. The heater wouldn't drain due to calcium buildup so we did need to replace it. They said we could purchase one wherever we wished or buy one from them (commercial grade and pretty expensive). We decided to buy one from them, which one of their staff actually delivered very quickly. Job completed, the old heater hauled away by them and the room left clean. Will definitely do business with them again!
1 month agoVery pleased with Dimone Parlier’s prompt response (50 minutes after call) for emergency service just as major snow storm was beginning. My home’s pvc water line cracked at the outlet of the CFPUA water meter. Could not have asked for any better or more professional service than what I received from Toby Maddox & partner! Can definitely recommend DPI.
1 month agoI got an appointment quickly! The techs were very nice and helpful. Even helped me make sense of a vanity spec packet to make sure the new plumbing height would match up. Highly recommend!
1 month agoBenjamin Franklin Plumbing of Wilmington NC
6721 Netherlands Dr, Wilmington, NC 28405, USA
(910) 802-9127Called BF around 8:30am having no hot water. They told me 10-2 and the technician would call ahead of time. My phone was ringing in about 10 minutes and I had someone at my house by 9. Jason was my technician and he showed me options for my situation. Ultimately I went with a new hot water heater and Jason completed the job in about 2 hours. Hot water restored! Jason was professional, polite, and kept me in the loop as he worked. Would highly recommend!
3 months agoAustin from Benjamin Franklin plumbing arrived earlier than what I expected. We bought a new kitchen sink Austin’s told us it was not a problem. He would have it up and running. He installed & checked all the plumbing fixtures he installed to make sure everything was working without any leaks. He was very knowledgeable about our water treatment system when doing this work.I would recommend anyone to contact your company for any plumbing issues.
3 weeks agoEasy to schedule appointment. Installer showed up on time, was efficient, clean and polite. He explained our options and had the unit we wanted in his truck so he was able to complete the job in one visit. This was a cost as well as time saver. Very complete experience. We have used this company before for other issues and have been satisfied each time. Would recommend.
2 weeks agoEast Atlantic Plumbing LLC
1027 S 3rd St, Wilmington, NC 28401, USA
(910) 616-3238East Atlantic Plumbing was great to deal with. We were replacing some flooring and the installer noticed signs of potential water leakage. Fran was at the house within a half hour and spent quite a bit of time investigating whether or not there was an issue. He was extremely patient and informative and answered all of our questions, offering up multiple possible sources that we eventually ruled out. I will definitely call them in the future for any plumbing issues we might have.
3 weeks agoOur first on demand natural gas water heater, works great! Install crew was professional and efficient. Jesse was very informative and polite. The install itself was very well done and took 4 hours. We chose EAP because of their long standing reputation in Wilmington. I feel confident they will stand behind their product and their work. Would definitely recommend them to others.
1 month agoEast Atlantic Plumbing Company did an outstanding job! They were able to track down and repair a leak in a gray water pipe under my house that nobody else could find. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and persistence really set them apart. I highly recommend them for anyone needing plumbing work done right the first time.
5 months agoLittle City Plumbing
142 Ridgeway Dr, Wilmington, NC 28409, USA
(910) 200-9760Austin Installed my whole house water filtration system and a tankless water heater in my house. Did an excellent job. Would definitely recommend Little city Plumbing again for my next project.
8 months agoAustin came over to my house and said I needed to get a new valve for my sink. He gave me a price and walked to his truck to get the valve. He didn’t have it so he’d need to go to Lowe’s and pick one up. Austin mentioned he had a busy day and I decided that maybe Wednesday morning would be best so he doesn’t have to rush. Austin offered Wednesday morning and I agreed. Well come Wednesday morning no call and no show to my house and my sink is still leaking. Absolutely terrible customer service and never make an appointment with someone and no call no show them. Bad business!!!
3 months agoCame out for $65 and gave me a quote to do simple work, change toilet shutoff valve and install new flush system in back that was way too high. I said I would pass. Later I did receive a phone call from Brice with Little City who credited back the $65 and apologized for the confusion. Seems they may have made an error in my pricing.
6 months agoGreat Day Plumbing and Air
14685 US-17, Hampstead, NC 28443, USA
(910) 807-7990Call this company now if you need help with plumbing HVAC! They are smart, reasonable, on time, pleasent, and pretty fast. We bought a 1966 house a couple of years ago and we love it. The only problem is that not all of the mechanical and plumbing systems have been replaced. I was worried that a plumber would come in and not be familiar with older homes that have been renovated in some areas and not in others, and have a mixture of old cast iron, pvc, some weird rubber boot looking pipes for corners and some widely varied styles of old plumbing patch ins. We had to have all of our upstairs drain plumbing and venting pipes removed and replaced. For two bath rooms and four vent pipes for lower bathrooms. A really messy job. The covered areas in plastic, vacuumed daily, cut out drywall and tile but with precision. They also removed our hot water heater and installed a tankless one that mounts outside. It was extra but worth it while there was a mess going on anyway. I'm thrilled with their work!
1 month agoCalled them for a time sensitive (non emergency) issue and everyone was top notch! Emory in the front office was kind, knowledgeable, professional, and flexible. She went above and beyond to get us a quick appointment. Hunter and Trace came out to the house and were equally friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. They took their time answering all of my questions and were very thorough in their evaluation. They walked me through our problem and offered meaningful solutions that made sense for our unique situation. Incredibly happy with the service we received from start to finish! Thank you Emory, Hunter, and Trace!
1 month agoCalled Great Day following a disappointing showing from one of their competitors. They arrived immediately to repair a toilet and offer a professional quote on a larger plumbing project. Consummate professionals, and very friendly/efficient service…they also offered great pricing on both projects. 5 stars not enough!
1 week agoOhana Plumbing and Drain Service
209 Pine Valley Dr, Wilmington, NC 28412, USA
(910) 612-7906We had a problem with both our toilets backing up into our showers, leaving us without a bathroom. Dave understood the severity of our problem and was able to fit us in to get it fixed- which included navigating the city coming to assist with the backup from the street-side and installing a new pipe He was prompt, professional, knowledgeable and affordable. We will absolutely use him again and highly recommend to anyone in need of a plumber.
5 months agoDave was amazing!!! He was professional, knowledgeable, and has an excellent eye for detail. You can tell he does half do anything. He worked extremely hard and helped us with our plumbing needs. It is hard to find a trusted plumber so we will definitely be saving his number for the future if ever needed again.
9 months agoDave came out to do a small job for us. Arrived when he said he would, super nice guy and did a good job. I would not be afraid to recommend him.
9 months agoBluewater Plumbing Heating & Air
2909 Orville Wright Way, Wilmington, NC 28405, USA
(910) 240-3135What a great experience getting a bathroom exhaust fan and a smart thermostat! Eddie and Cayden were on-time, professional, knowledgeable and their services were reasonably-priced. They took us through all the cool (pun intended) features of the ecobee thermostat and even showed us how to share it as husband and wife. Recommended by Duke Power and we will use them again for future needs.
3 weeks agoGreat experience getting new HVAC installed with Bluewater Plumbing Heating & Air. From start to finish, their team was super responsive, professional & flexible with our schedules. I can't speak highly enough about Ron LeBlanc. He knows his stuff and made the whole process super easy. Bre & Morgan from their Admin team were fantastic and super helpful getting all the info across quickly. Really made us feel like we were being looked after and having that kind of support to get things scheduled quickly was a huge relief when our old system broke down. Super company!
3 weeks agoI am so grateful for the service I received from RJ Huxley from blue water today. I recognized him immediately from when he installed my water heater previously, and it was a relief to have a familiar, trusted face handle this emergency. He was kind, efficient and very professional . I have done many project via blue water and have always been happy Big thank you to RJ again
1 month agoMilam Plumbing
9545 Ploof Rd SE, Leland, NC 28451, USA
(910) 518-8138Woke to burst hot water heater & ankle deep water. I hired 911 Restoration for the water damage mitigation. They have worked with Milam Plumbing in the past & recommended the company. I called and Stephen & Austin arrived to asses the situation. We discussed options, pricing, & settled on a new unit that was up to code, with a pan & leak alarm. Stephen & Austin dismantled the old unit & installed the new one quckly & efficiently. They made the whole process so easy for me during a very stressful & chaotic event. Stephen & Austen were very professional & listened to my questions & provided their knowledge & experience to complete this part of the process. I am so grateful to Milam Plumbing & will continue to use them for all my future plumbing needs.
6 months agoChristian was very detailed about the job and explained everything clearly what needed to be fixed and shared the cost upfront and then proceeded to fix the water heaters problem and had a pleasant personality through the procedure. I would highly recommend Milam plumbing to anyone who wants the honest evaluation and properly fixed the issue right on time. Thanks for coming the same day as well Dave

We filter through certified professionals across New Hanover County and specifically call plumbers in your zip code to confirm they have an open slot to solve your drain issue today. Common Drain Issues in Wilmington
Sandy Soil Infiltration: Wilmington’s sandy terrain often finds its way into exterior cleanouts and pipes, especially after heavy coastal rainstorms. This sediment can settle in your lines, creating heavy, gritty clogs that require professional clearing to restore flow.
Live Oak Root Intrusion: The iconic Live Oaks that define Wilmington's beauty have expansive root systems. These roots are notorious for seeking out moisture in older sewer lines in neighborhoods like Ardmore or the Historic District, leading to stubborn, recurring blockages.
Coastal Humidity and Biofilm: Our high North Carolina humidity levels can accelerate the growth of organic biofilm and sludge inside your drains. This leads to slow-draining showers and unpleasant odors that are common in homes near the Cape Fear River.
Corroded Historic Piping: Many homes in downtown Wilmington still feature older cast iron or clay pipes. These materials are prone to internal scaling and corrosion over time, which catches debris and leads to frequent backups that standard DIY methods can't fix.
Seasonal Drain Maintenance Tips for Wilmington
Summer Sand Control: After a day at Wrightsville Beach or Masonboro Island, ensure you rinse off sand at an outdoor station. Fine coastal sand can quickly settle in your bathroom P-traps and cause significant drainage issues.
Pre-Hurricane Drain Clearing: Before the peak of the Atlantic hurricane season, ensure your exterior yard drains and gutters are clear. Heavy Wilmington downpours can overwhelm sluggish drains, leading to localized flooding around your home’s foundation.
Holiday Grease Management: During the Azalea Festival or winter holidays, avoid pouring fats and oils down your kitchen sink. The grease solidifies in your pipes, a leading cause for emergency plumber calls in the Port City during peak hosting seasons.
Fall Root Maintenance: Schedule a professional camera inspection in the autumn. Identifying root intrusion from your yard's trees before the wet winter months can prevent a total sewer line collapse when the ground becomes saturated.
Average Drain Cleaning Costs in Wilmington
Pricing in Wilmington varies based on the clog's location, the severity of the blockage, and the technology required (such as motorized snakes or hydro-jetting). Emergency after-hours service may incur higher rates.
