HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Called to get a quote on a faucet replacement on a pedestal sink after the half completed job was botched by a "handy man". He made time to get to me same day and was able to fix what got messed up and replace the faucet as well as replace the wall shut off valves with more sturdy and durable equipment. He was very prompt, professional, and great to work with. Dee's Drain Cleaning will definitely by my go to as well as my recommendation to anyone else needing plumbing assistance.

Stephan is the best! He fixed a major toilet plumbing issue for me in a very efficient and fast manner. In about 2 hrs he had diagnosed the toilet drain flange had broken and been disconnected. Repaired and replaced all parts and reinstalled the toilet. Thoroughly checked for any further leaks or potential blockages and made certain there weren’t any further issues. And he did it all with some great hospitality and friendly conversation. The best part was he was prepared with everything needed. No trips to the store needed to get the job done. And he took care to make sure none of my possessions were damaged or dirtied while he worked. Kudos to him and Charlotte Plumbing organization. Couldn’t be happier.

Mr. Richard did an amazing job here at my home. The water heater was very old and then he gave us a new one. Also placed a missing pipe the previous people should’ve done. Without Richard our water would still be flooding our garage. Thank you to Charlotte plumbing especially Mr. Richard. Very professional man and he’s so patient. He also taught me some good pointers to look for next time. :)

We had the lawn mower service take out our sewer drain access cap and the sleeve it screws into. Ian arrived in a reasonably close time for our appointment. He was personable and fast. He did a nice job and we are grateful for the quick response.

"I am no plumber but When repairing the main water line into the house, one should locate the internal and external shut off value. Know where they are at." "I can not recommend Mr Rooter after this experience and lacking caring for the customer." Mr. Rooter came to our house to replace a water pressure regulator located in our garage. I was in a meeting during the installation. Suddenly, I heard rapid banging at my front door. The plumber was soaking wet and frantically asked where the main water shut-off valve was located. This valve is situated outside near the water meter. We quickly ran to the location so he could turn off the water. Meanwhile, I turned around and saw water pouring out of my garage. I entered the garage to assess the damage. The plumber informed me that I had a faulty shut-off valve and showed me the broken piece. He did not acknowledge that all of my wife's catering equipment and supplies were soaked. Next, he recommended that I inspect for older or potentially faulty shut-off valves in the future, without considering the fact that our family's belongings had just been drenched. He stated that he would finish up and be done shortly, completely ignoring the mess in my garage. While I am not a plumber, I understand the importance of locating both the internal and external shut-off valves when repairing the main water line into the house. Educating the customer about potentially faulty equipment is helpful, but it shouldn’t come immediately after ingored the sme faulty shut value and failing to turn off the water main before starting your work. It’s also essential to acknowledge what a customer might be thinking or feeling in such situations. If there is potential damage to personal property, the plumber should always call their supervisor immediately. Unfortunately, the supervisor seemed largely concerned with securing payment. He promised to give us several days to assess the damage but called the next day to check on progress, which felt like additional pressure to pay without sufficient understanding of the situation. After some communication, Mr. Rooter offered a $20 discount, which amounted to only about a 4% discount.

Scott, Raul and Destiny were great to work with. Scott showed up within a few days for a quote and off we went. The price was reasonable for the work. The team worked with me through CLT water delays and issues and we’re extremely flexible and communicated well. Scott gave me lots of info throughout the process and would contact me at the end of each day to talk through the work completed. Overall good experience here and would hire / recommend Swift Brothers.

DJ showed up and legit saved my sanity. No appointment, no heads up. He squeezed me in JUST to empty my tank. That wasn’t really the issue AND he had another appointment to be at, but he made time when he didn’t have too. He took time that he clearly did not have to make me understand how everything worked so I don’t have the same issue again in six months once again. He spent time fixing the actual issue instead of just trying to make a profit. He spent hours fixing problems that he didn’t have too, and he did not get paid anywhere near enough to do it. He just had good intentions and wasn't trying to just make money. I got to take an actual bath instead of a shower today and that was all thanks to him because this company actually cares. So if I had it, I would have paid him the 10K he clearly deserved but even though I didn’t he still treated my problems like I was paying him that. I don’t really leave reviews so that speaks VOLUME for me. These guys should always be your first call. They will definitely always be mine ❤️❤️❤️ Also thanks for the therapy DJ 🤣

I had a burst pipe in my laundry room due to a snowstorm followed by extremely low temperatures. Ben and Seth were at the house, amazingly, within a few hours even with the extra high volume due to the storm and cold. Super friendly guys. They explained everything they were going to do and were able to finish quickly. I had never used these guys before, they were recommended by someone in my son's mom's book club group (a powerful force, iykyk). Super impressed, they were extremely friendly got everything fixed and wrapped up pretty quickly, and at a very respectable price. And to boot they left my laundry room cleaner than it's look in a long time. WyattWorks has gained themselves a repeat customer, I can't recommend these guys enough. Thank you gentlemen!

And when Ryan and his assistant came to my house to do the work, they were so friendly, kind, informative and respectful of my property and time. They went above and beyond to make sure I understood how the system works and set up my system with long term use and maintenance in mind. I would recommend them 100%. I cannot say enough good things about Kevin. I have been a home owner for 10+ years and have been looking for a honest and professional plumber and finally found one. This guy is awesome, his prices are competitive and not at all on the higher side for the work and the detail he provides. I wish I had found him sooner. He provides details like a big corporate such as estimates through the website he uses and by email, provides credit card option for payments so that you dont have to have cash, provides pictures of before and after and everything is documented for warranty purposes. All this service would cost double of what he charges when we deal with big companies. In short, you get the same level of customer service for a very reasonable price. We had a new addition with a butler pantry on first and bathroom on second and he did all the plumbing work. He also helped with fixing some issues with my rental property. A true professional who is friendly, easy to work with and provides the ultimate service. Thank you so much Kevin, I am more than happy with the service you provide.

I used AAA City Plumbing and had a great experience from start to finish. They were quick to respond and arrived at the house promptly ( same day service). Customer service was excellent, pricing was transparent, and their after-service follow-up was exceptional. Parrish at reception is sweet as pie and made the whole process easy and pleasant. The technician, Shannon, was extremely courteous, detail-oriented, and very knowledgeable. You can tell they genuinely care about doing the job right. This is my second time using them for my rental homes. I would absolutely recommend AAA City Plumbing and will use them again.

From the beginning of the project to the very end, Randy "Red" & Cory gave excellent communication of what each step would entail. As a female helping my senior mom with a major plumbing crisis, both Randy & Cory kept me in the loop the entire way and was extremely caring and compassionate about making sure the job was done correct! Randy "Red" & Cory were always honest, straight forward and wanted me to be a part of the repair from start to finish. I appreciate their attention to detail, extensive knowledge of multiple issues of plumbing, etc., and their superb customer service. I would absolutely 💯 use Randy & Cory again for any of my plumbing issues. Randy was referred to me by my best friend. Cory was not part of this job. Randy did such an excellent job at her mom's house that she told me to contact AAA Plumbing immediately and ask for Randy. I'm so pleased that I took her advice and I want to thank both Randy & Cory for their dynamic work ethic the entire way!

Since I've received 2 auto texts every day since the job was complete here's what I think. Hire someone else. My technician hit something on my exterior wall preventing the screw from going in all the way and just left it buckling my siding. He had to return to redo the gas lines that were incorrectly "secured" to the outside of my house putting extra screw holes in my siding. The county gas tech had to explain how to secure it so it could be hooked up to the gas meter. In the water tank closet he left a piece of drywall that was trash for me to clean up along with drywall dust from plugging the old lines. None of this should've happened considering the high cost they charge to hire them.

We had a big problem happen where one technician did our estimate, and a different tech came to do the install. The tech doing the install did not understand what the estimate/work was going to be covering and thus we ended up extremely unhappy with his work. However Mike England, the tech that did our estimate, was in touch next-day and explained that the work was indeed not as it was supposed to be and informed me that he had already started the process to have a new tech, Will Elliot, come out to fix our situation. Will fixed everything and explained what it was he had done. He was very professional and did an awesome job. Mike also has been extremely professional throughout this experience and has worked hard to make sure that our situation was fixed and that we were happy with the work. I’ll include a picture of what it ended up looking like and while it is unorthodox, it is functional and makes my life easier in the event of a leak because I will no longer have to take the wall apart to reach the shutoffs. I am only giving a 4-star because of the problems that came up but as for Mike and Will they are 5-star, grade-A technicians.

Outstanding service from start to finish! We reached out to Benjamin Franklin Plumbing on Saturday night and spoke with Heather at the call center. She was an absolute wealth of knowledge and took the time to clearly explain their service membership program and options. Hands down, she’s one of the best customer service reps we’ve dealt with from any contractor in the area — knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely helpful. They sent Nathan Brown out on Sunday to provide a quote, and by Tuesday morning, Oscar Mendoza was already on-site replacing our gas hot water heater along with Caleb Griffith. The entire process was smooth, professional, and efficient.Oscar did a great job. Very professional and answered all of my questions. From that first phone call to the final installation, everything was handled flawlessly. We couldn’t be happier with the service and will absolutely use Benjamin Franklin Plumbing again — and recommend them without hesitation.

Professional Drain Cleaning in Charlotte

Dealing with a backed-up sink or a slow tub in the Queen City shouldn't involve a game of phone tag. Charlotte’s unique landscape—from the historic bungalows in Dilworth to the newer developments in Ballantyne—presents a wide variety of plumbing challenges that require local expertise. Whether it's a kitchen sink clogged by Southern cooking grease or a main line obstructed by the roots of our famous willow oaks, you need a solution that is both local and immediate. Our service removes the guesswork from finding help. We don't just provide a list of names; we actively filter our network of certified North Carolina plumbers based on your specific Charlotte zip code. Most importantly, we call them to confirm they have an open slot to solve your drain issue today. By the time you connect with a pro, you already know they are nearby and ready to work.

Common Drain Issues in Charlotte

Willow Oak Root Intrusion: Charlotte is celebrated for its massive tree canopy, but those thirsty roots are a nightmare for sewer lines. In established neighborhoods like Myers Park and Elizabeth, roots often penetrate older clay or cast iron pipes, causing recurring blockages that only professional clearing can fix.

North Carolina Red Clay: The heavy clay soil throughout the Piedmont region shifts significantly with moisture changes. This movement can cause underground drainage pipes to 'belly' or sag, creating low spots where debris collects and eventually chokes off the flow of wastewater.

Grease and Cooking Fats: In a city that loves its food, Charlotte kitchen drains often suffer from 'fatbergs.' Southern staples and heavy oils solidify deep within the plumbing, requiring more than just a store-bought liquid cleaner to remove the hardened buildup.

Stormwater Backup: During our intense North Carolina summer thunderstorms, the local drainage infrastructure can become overwhelmed. This external pressure often leads to air bubbles or sewage backups in lower-level drains, especially in homes with older crawlspaces or basements.

Seasonal Drain Maintenance Tips for Charlotte

Spring Rain Prep: After the heavy pollen season in Charlotte, ensure your outdoor area drains and driveway grates are clear of debris to prevent flash flooding during spring thunderstorms.

Summer Root Growth: Roots are most active during the humid NC summer. If you notice slow-draining toilets in July, have a professional camera inspection before the roots cause a total main line collapse.

Fall Leaf Management: The Queen City’s beautiful autumn foliage can quickly clog gutter downspouts and yard drains. Clear these out before the late fall rains to prevent water from backing up into your foundation.

Winter Pipe Protection: While Charlotte winters are mild, we do see hard freezes. Disconnect garden hoses and check your crawlspace drains to ensure no standing water is present that could freeze and cause pipe expansion.

Average Drain Cleaning Costs in Charlotte

$145-$485

Pricing for drain cleaning in Charlotte depends on the severity of the blockage, the location of the clog (secondary line vs. main sewer line), and the equipment required, such as motorized augers or high-pressure hydro-jetting.

Frequently Asked Questions about Drain Cleaning in Charlotte

How quickly can I get a plumber to my home in Charlotte?

Because we filter by your specific zip code and call to verify current availability, many of our users are able to secure a same-day appointment with a Charlotte plumber within hours of their request.

Do I need a permit for sewer line cleaning in North Carolina?

Standard drain cleaning and snaking do not require a permit. However, if the cleaning reveals a broken pipe that requires excavation, our verified plumbers will assist you with the necessary Charlotte-Mecklenburg building permits.

What is the most common cause of clogged drains in older Charlotte neighborhoods?

In areas like Plaza Midwood or NoDa, older cast iron pipes often suffer from internal scaling and root intrusion from mature trees. These issues typically require professional hydro-jetting to restore the pipe to its full diameter.

Is hydro-jetting safe for my older Charlotte home?

Yes, when performed by the certified technicians in our network. They will often use a sewer camera first to check the integrity of your pipes before using high-pressure water to clear out grease and roots.

Why do my drains smell like sulfur during a humid Charlotte summer?

High humidity and heat can accelerate the growth of bacteria in partially clogged drains. A professional cleaning can remove the organic 'biofilm' that traps these odors, keeping your home smelling fresh even in the NC heat.
