Top Rated Plumbers in Muncie, Indiana
Rooterman of Indiana
2303 S Elm St, Muncie, IN 47302, USA
(765) 213-7274My service techdid an awesome job, very informative, most of their technicians are veterans. I super duper, highly recommend them. I am very impressed and he had my situation resolved within the hour. The sink would take forever to drain. And now it only takes seconds And They worked with my schedule. They are based in Muncie, and I'm telling you, I cannot say enough positive stuff about these guys. Thanks again guys. Travis, Warren Satisfied, customer.
2 months agoDO NOT LET ROOTERMAN TRY AND CLEAR A DRAIN FOR YOU!!! Came out to the house for a clogged kitchen drain. Tried to snake the drain and the cutter tip fell off in the drain. Dustin the technician left it inthe drain and wrote up a quote for $5500 to dig up the concrete floor to fix the drain. Did the job ourselves and found the part in our drain!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! After calling the company and explaining the situation, we were pretty much called liars and told all the machines had the parts. Paid a technician to lose a part in our drain and had to fix it ourselves! DO NOT USE ROOTERMAN!! And there was no other plumber here, but ROOTERMAN wants to put the blame on someone else.
7 months agoRooterman guys did great service for us - made sure the whole system worked well before we paid any money. Very good and very fair - no sloppy work or cheap materials. Highly recommended. WR
3 months agoBenjamin Franklin Plumbing of Muncie
1801 W Jackson St, Muncie, IN 47303, USA
(317) 886-0568We had a new hot water heater installed and were not getting hot water after. Donn came back a few times to diagnose the issue and was always prompt and very courteous. He was a pleasure to work with and extremely knowledgeable. We also had to have some pipes rerouted a couple months before and he and Bryce got that job done quickly as well and got our drain flowing smoothly. We are very pleased with the service we received and will be recommending this company to others.
3 months agoI'd like to start by saying the actual work they were hired to do, investigate a backed up main out pipe and de-clog, was fine. They did just that. It's what follows that warrants such harsh criticism. I enjoyed talking to the crew. Very friendly and knowledgeable. That's why I trusted them so much with the advice that would turn to bite me near immediately. We didn't hit any debris until well past my property line, across the road. I was told by their more experienced member to head to Muncie Sanitary Engineering the following day, then give them $200 and sign an affidavit so the city could come out and take care of the rest of the work well off my property. I did just that. They came within a day of me signing the affidavit and forking over $200. What follows is a crew of people showing up ready to tear the road up to fix a major blockage in the main channel but they find... nothing. Nothing to the point of utter confusion. Bewildered and almost certain they were at the wrong residence. Nope. That handful of plant matter and debris that Benjamin Franklin pulled out seemed to have been the entire issue. Nothing more. Where does that leave me? Out $200 and looking like a crazy person in front of the city employees. What once was me very happy with the $100 work Benjamin Franklin did turned into a $300 fiasco. An experienced plumber adamant I contact the city pushes my finances further into disarray. As a household with a single earner: I can't make mistakes like this. I hold no grudges with the company or work they performed, but someones wayward advice catapulted my plumbing expenses by triple the original amount. That's a blunder I can't overlook.
7 months agoExcellent work for decent price! We were having issues with our sewer line being clogged. Due to us having no functioning toilets I called them and asked if they had anyone who could come out same day and they had someone out here with 2hrs! Had to get the line snaked and ended up costing us $198. Not bad and was super quick!
10 months agoRoto-Rooter Plumbing, Drain, & Water Damage Cleanup Services
5826 W Kilgore Ave, Muncie, IN 47304, USA
(765) 297-0505Austin was very efficient in addressing and providing estimates initially. Crew that completed work did excellent job! HOWEVER the work was later identified as incomplete. They installed a new sump pump but failed to connect it to electrical. They damaged a tree and ground while redoing external drain and left pop up too high above the ground. Austin later became very unresponsive. They installed drains with no P traps then came back out with over 900.00 estimate to fix after originally charging several thousand to fix. They refused to provide pictures of completed work in crawl space. Tried three times to talk to GM. They installed rough in to shower and attached to a board. New plumber had to remove to get unit for shower handle installed. Very disappointed. Technician Zach did the best he could coming out second time to plug in sump pump. One contractor blames the other contractors and it goes on and on.
10 months agoOur tech Dustin came out on Friday night to help with a main line clog and was super helpful and kind. He went out of his way to get our toilet working tonight instead of making us wait until tomorrow morning. Great customer service and happy to have our toilet working tonight!
3 months agoAustin was the plumber who was sent to my dad's residence this past week. His first visit, was late Saturday night and he returned Sunday. Austin was very thorough with his explanation, unlike the original company that we contacted for follow-up service to their installation. After speaking with the original plumbing company, my dad decided to use a different company to fix the issues related to the first company's installation. He was extremely polite and sincerely wanted to fix the issue since my 78 year old dad had been without water for 2 days. I want to personally Thank you Austin! For your hard work and great attitude when working. Kind regards Dana Davis
2 months agoA & D Plumb Masters
3641 E County Rd 550 N, New Castle, IN 47362, USA
(765) 744-6067We were very impressed with the speed at which Plumb Masters came to our assistance with a routine situation (clogged drain) and with a subsequent emergency. Knowledgeable, honest, communicative, punctual, thoughtful to our cats, clean, thorough, and most of all HELPFUL. When you are experiencing crisis mode and aren't sure which end is up, it's nice to have someone familiar with the territory (not in crisis mode) to answer your questions. Even when we blanched at the very real possibility of a MUCH bigger job than we anticipated (like getting through walls and digging up the living room), Don kept it 💯 with us. No kid gloves. 7ft of broken sewer line in the middle of and under a foundation is no easy feat to investigate or repair. We are most glad that it is done (I'm sure they are too!) and appreciative of their excellent service. Thank you!!
7 years agoAD Plumb Masters are now my go to for all plumbing needs. We had a stopped up kitchen sink drain. I called AD Plumbmasters and they were able to make it out that same day. Don was extremely knowledgeable, professional and efficient. The work that was performed, was done so in a clean and effective manner. There was no mess left behind. And in no time at all we had our sink back. The price for the service was much lower than what I was anticipating. I strongly suggest using this company!!! M. Osborne
1 year agoDon was prompt, efficient, and ensured all repairs were leak free. Don communicates well and was on time. If you need quality work done right, done efficiently, and for a reasonable price…call A&D Plumb Masters! I have used them 3 times this year! The first time for a clogged drain, the second for water heater replacement, and the third trip to replace old shut off valves that were in the wall.
1 year agoRoto-Rooter Plumbing, Drain, & Water Damage Cleanup Service
2518 IN-3, New Castle, IN 47362, USA
(765) 280-7774We had a clogged drain in the kitchen. I called for service on Saturday morning and Seth came that afternoon. He was very knowledgeable, professional and courteous. He had our problem fixed within a couple of hours. I would definitely request Seth again.
2 years agoRoto-Rooter responded quickly to my online service request. They kept me well informed of when my technician would arrive and safety protocols that would be followed. Even sent me his picture which was helpful. Dustin Lewis worked very hard to clear my clogged drain and installed two faucets making sure he communicated with me all along the process and that I was satisfied. He was professional, efficient and friendly. The results are great and I am very pleased with the service I got from Roto-Rooter. I highly recommend them!
5 years agoJay was excellent during our 2:30am emergency call for sewer backup in our basement drain. From the time we called in until the time he left the job, everything was professional and he knew the exact problem and promptly got it fixed. Very happy with the price. Thank you for saving the day - will not use anyone else!

7 months agoI can’t say enough about this amazing company! Dave is the owner and he is so kind and knowledgeable. He helped my daughter with her horrible plumbing problems. They excavated and installed a clean out outside to clean the sewer pipes, replaced their water heater, installed water softener and iron filter. They had such a cool machine to shoot water and jet my sewer pipes which got rid of the roots. Now their house drains better than ever! I will forever call Hoosier plumbing and drain guys 😁. I would recommend them to all my friends and family. Thanks again!
6 months agoAlec was so knowledgeable and fast! He identified my problem when 2 other company's couldn't! He gave me 3 solutions and since he was kind, professional and affordable I had him fix or install everything I have been wanting since we moved into our home. I can't say enough good things about Alec and Hoosier drain guys. Please don't call the expensive big company's that don't care about customers.
6 months agoPeterman Brothers Heating Cooling Plumbing
408 W Air Park Dr, Muncie, IN 47303, USA
(765) 246-8288Buyer beware! This bait & switch company who claims $83 to clean a drain then really charges $191 with a promise of returning the next day to "put a camera down the drain" free of charge. We were told it's clean enough to use which means $191 only did a partial clean out so the next day is more charges. The tech blames the lady answering the phone for not knowing their charges. What a dog & pony show.
3 months agoDidn’t have a very good experience with the guy that come out to do our estimate. Had my dogs put behind a gate and he just went over the gate like he wasn’t worried about the dogs at all and had no trouble with them. So I ended up removing the gate so they could go in and outside as they please. Next thing I know my littlest dog comes running in scared and shaking and having trouble breathing in her snout. As if she were kicked in the front of her face. Of course I had no proof. But then he comes in saying “that brown dog don’t like hard boots she come up trying to bite on my boots and they are hard but I didn’t kick her or anything”. Well first of all why would you offer information that you didn’t kick her if you weren’t guilty of it to begin with. Then after all that it took over 40 minutes to convince him that I could not afford to go with the plans and amount he was charging. I would not recommended him to my worst enemy, just saying. And he’s lucky I don’t have proof he kicked my dog!
1 year agoAbsolutely ridiculous…. Negative stars is what they deserve. They hounded me for 2 years to get a new system installed and I finally did because I had zero heat. They told me that I needed a new unit or wait a week for a new part. With below 20 degrees outside, I had no other option than to get a new unit. That new unit didn’t last 4 hours and I was without heat again…. They said it was a manufacturer defect and it would take them 2 weeks to get the new part. They sent a guy out today and he cannot fix it. Now they can’t get to me for another 2 days…. Wow! I am at a loss with this company!!! Never again!!!!
5 months agoZ.A.M Bam Plumbing LLC
1346 Lindberg Rd, Anderson, IN 46012, USA
(765) 615-1853Just wanted to say that Miguel and crew are very professional and did a exceptional job ! We had to have them come out to clear a blockage of tree roots in our outside drain system. They are a God send ! If you want a top notch job done 👍 definitely give them a call! They go above and beyond and I would recommend them if you want a job well done! Very informative and honest and on time!
6 months agoMy 91 year old mother’s water heater was not heating. We have a home warranty and were assigned z.a.m. bam plumbing to do the work. We had an appointment on 2/13 which was a Friday, but they assured me if they had a cancellation earlier in the week they would get to mom sooner. I am always a bit apprehensive that they would actually move her if possible. But thankfully they did exactly as they said and came on 2/11 and evaluated the situation. Then returned this morning 2/12 to make the repair. My mom is now up and running, hot water all restored all before the original appointment. Dispatcher was kind and kept her word, Miguel the technician was efficient and helpful. So thankful for their expedient help!! Thank you!
3 months agoMiguel and his staff member came out today to install a Puritan Water Softener. There were some complications due to relocating where the softener was located. I really appreciated how hard working and diligent they were despite it taking longer than it may typically take. I’d hire them again for sure.
3 months agoMr. Rooter Plumbing of Muncie
2041 W Enterprise Ave, Muncie, IN 47304, USA
(765) 224-5941The guys here are awesome, but very busy (especially during winter months). Sam was polite, helpful, explained everything and made sure the job was to my satisfaction. My only concern is price. I needed a new water softener since my old one was just dead. The model I received was Watco: 2PE100MCONT. According to Lee's website (where they purchased the unit), that system costs $1537 retail, but the price on the site today is $729.57. The total charged by Mr. Rooter today was $2070 (and that was discounted from ~$2300 since I have a service contract). That would mean either they paid full retail for the unit or they charged $1200 for labor (the invoice doesn't break down the cost between parts and labor). Let me be clear: the work is spectacular and Sam is a great tech. And I needed a new softener since, unbeknownst to me, it hadn't been working since I bought the house in mid 2024 (I'm a single person who knows next to nothing about plumbing). I'm not upset, but the price is raising eyebrows. Either Mr. Rooter is being charged full price or I am. 10 year warranty though, and the work is already done. So, too late now (lol).
5 months agoAdam did an fantastic job replacing my well pressure tank. He was extremely professional and informative. I cant say enough good things about how great of a job he did, especially on such short notice. Thanks
5 months agoWe had all new plumbing put in by Ryan. Total new lines ran throughout our home. Our crawl space is tight and so very dusty. The job lasted three days and he never complained. Mr. Rooter In our opinion, hit the jackpot and having hiring such great worker

In a city like Muncie, where the charm of historic homes meets the bustling energy of Ball State University, a clogged drain can bring your daily routine to a grinding halt. We don't just provide a list of names; we actively filter by your Muncie zip code and call the plumbers ourselves to verify they have a technician available to solve your problem today. By the time you receive a recommendation, we’ve already done the hard work of ensuring they can handle your specific emergency 24/7, saving you from the frustration of endless voicemails and busy signals.
Common Drain Issues in Muncie, Indiana
Many Muncie neighborhoods feature older homes with original cast iron or clay piping. Over time, these materials can corrode or shift, leading to frequent blockages that a simple plunger cannot solve, requiring professional-grade equipment.
With Indiana’s lush landscape, tree root intrusion is a common culprit for Muncie residents. Aggressive roots from local maples and oaks can penetrate sewer lines through small cracks, causing significant backups that require professional snaking or hydro-jetting to clear.
Hard water is a reality in East Central Indiana. Mineral deposits can build up inside your pipes over years, narrowing the passage and making it easier for soap scum, hair, and organic matter to create stubborn clogs that affect the entire household flow.
In the high-density student housing areas around Ball State, drains often face heavy usage. Large amounts of hair, grease, and non-flushable items can quickly overwhelm plumbing systems that weren't designed for such high volume, leading to messy emergency situations.
Seasonal Drain Maintenance Tips for Muncie, Indiana
Before the harsh Indiana winter hits, ensure your outdoor drains are clear of fallen leaves and debris to prevent ice dams and potential pipe bursts during the first big freeze.
In the spring, Muncie's heavy rains can put a strain on your sewer line. Have a professional check your floor drains to ensure they are venting properly and ready for the wet season to avoid basement flooding.
During the humid Muncie summers, keep an eye on your condensate drains for your AC unit. A clog here can lead to water damage inside your home during the peak of July heat when your system is working hardest.
If you're hosting guests for a game day or holiday, avoid putting fibrous Indiana vegetables like corn husks or celery down the disposal, as these are leading causes of emergency kitchen clogs in the fall.
Average Drain Cleaning Costs in Muncie, Indiana
Prices in Muncie typically vary based on the severity of the clog, the accessibility of the cleanout, and whether the job requires specialized equipment like hydro-jetting or sewer cameras.
