Thanks to Mason and Logan for coming out the same day to unclog our main drain and install our new toilet. They were very courteous and clean. They also had some very helpful recommendations and called Warren who came to our home within the half hour to run a camera down our lines and he sat with us and explained what was recommended and supplied us with different options and quotes. We will definitely call Mr Plumber for all of our plumbing needs.

Joe came out to our house today and helped us correct the set up on our water softener. He was quick, thorough, and pleasant. He was very knowledgeable, and we ended up signing up for the annual check up membership so that we don't run into the same issues that led us to call WCA in the first place. 5 stars! Highly recommend their services!

Hayden Lair was our technician. He went straight to work, detected the problem and spent quite a bit of time checking to see what needed to be done next. It was initially thought that our toilet tank could be replaced but the model is no longer in existence. It was determined that the entire toilet had to be replaced and Hayden stayed on the phone for quite some time to see if the replacement could be covered by our warranty. Thank you, Hayden for all of your work. I truly appreciated how friendly and professional you were.

I cannot recommend Braden and Hope Plumbing enough! I did a quote request on Google and chose Hope Plumbing because every other company I contacted had AI-generated responses. Hope was the only company that verified I was speaking with a live representative. Scheduling was a breeze, and appointment times were plentiful. Braden was punctual, respectful, friendly, and extremely efficient. He carefully examined my clogged kitchen sink, asked thoughtful questions about the issue, and presented two clear options for resolving it. Once we chose an option, he proceeded quickly and effectively, completely resolving the problem. I always like to tip for excellent service, especially since I’ve been taken advantage of in the past, but Braden graciously refused a tip and asked me to leave feedback instead. That speaks volumes about his professionalism. Phenomenal service from start to finish! I wouldn’t hesitate to call Braden or Hope Plumbing again, and I highly recommend them to anyone!

Hope Plumbing is great. We have a membership with them so as soon as the basement flooded, I knew we would be in good hands. Despite the snowstorm, they came out to help us. The techs, Elijah and Alex, were able to get the diagnostics going right away and jump into our rescue. They were very upfront about options, pricing, financing options, etc. they went over our membership benefits, and benefit discounts and we were able to figure out a plan for them to fix the problem. Everything is working great now. They helped us with homeowners insurance people and contacts for the clean up and gave us recommendations for going forward. We are looking forward to them coming back next month to flush the pipes. Great service and great techs! They came out in a storm, and worked in the midst of all three of my children home, running around, as well as my two dogs. Thank you for your excellent service HP.

Hope Plumbing Review Feb 22 2026 I don't normally write reviews unless I get outstanding service and want to thank someone, but Hope requested this, so here goes. I booked online, made the time on my own schedule, then found out that booking online is a mistake, as they were overbooked and never got to my scheduled appointment. I wasted my day waiting. Had to rebook, meaning another day off my calendar. Jon Taylor came out for estimate. He was very nice, friendly, polite, and our visit was quite pleasant. I accepted his estimate and trusted him. Installer Kendall and his "helper", who I will not name because he is blameless, arrived. We went to the bathroom sink, where he was to install a new faucet I had purchased myself. Sink was to be disconnected, lifted up off of vanity, new faucet installed, sink put back into vanity and re-connected. I am 70 years old, and if not for the arthritis in my hands, I could do this simple job myself in about an hour and have fun doing it. Hope estimate was $581.00, which was labor-only, for about an hour of work. NASA scientists make less. Then Kendall started complaining that lifting this 30lb sink out of the vanity was too much work for what he was being paid. Good grief. Then we went to the basement where a Marlo water softener was to be installed in place of the ancient Culligan. Existing copper plumbing is in great shape and there is plenty of room to remove it and set new unit in its place, connect it, program it, and be done. Estimate for softener and install $2143.61. Kendall saw that the existing tank has salt in it and started complaining that he would have to break that up and haul it out and that was too much work for what he was being paid. What??? I told him I will pay the estimated cost that Jon and I spent an hour discussing and that if he didn't feel like performing the needed work, that he could take that up with Jon. He went to his truck, came back, and said that it would cost more to do the work, did I want to know how much more. I asked him if he was refusing to honor the estimate. He said yes. At this point, I was fed up with his whining and told him to leave. I've never experienced such nonsense, and I've had a lot of work done in my 70 years of living. Hope should be ashamed. I called Jon and explained the entire incident. I also told him that I will not be calling Hope ever again, as my trust in them was demolished by Kendall's behavior. I will be getting this work done by someone else tomorrow.

When our waste discharge backed up, I looked on local social media to find a plumber. Dutton Plumbing had an extremely high number of five star reviews, so I sent them a message. Nick came out the next morning and, after spending a while in the crawl space, emerged with a set of photos which led him to the tentative conclusion that the back up was in the exterior waste discharge pipe between the house and the sewer. He recommended using a pressure jet to attempt to clear the clog and a video probe to inspect afterward. I approved that procedure and the next day, Gavin came and performed these procedures. Unfortunately, the video feed showed what Nick had deduced, the clog was exterior of the house, and worse yet, it was not a clog, but was a deformed pipe. The only "cure" was a new pipe. Gavin assured us that the existing pipe would serve, albeit at a reduced flow. We could shower and use the toilets, but should forgo things like washing machines. All this happened just before Thanksgiving. Dutton arranged for expedited buried utility marking and on Monday morning, Gavin and a small crew arrived with a backhoe. They did a careful dig and worked steadily all day on a very cold day. Late in the day, the ditch filled in, Dutton gave us the green light to resume full use again. Throughout the process, each step was fully explained, complete with associated costs. I will confess I was surprised how expensive the excavation was, but believe it was fair and equitable. I've got Dutton Plumbing's number in my Contacts and will call them next time I need a plumber.

I had a great experience with Dutton plumbing. My spigot was leaking, and I was able to speak with Chelsea to get someone out asap. In the meantime, I unfortunately also developed a water leak and was able to get someone out even sooner. They were honest and transparent the entire time. I highly recommend Dutton plumbing!

Mick & his son were prompt and did an excellent job. Mick talked to me while he was working so I would know what he was finding & how he would fix it. I actually had to have them come out twice for two different issues. The price was affordable and fair. I will need to have re-piping done in the future & I'll definitely use Dutton Plumbing to do the work. Thank you, Mick & Tristan!

Dustin was incredible! We had 6 visits from another plumbing company (over the course of 3 weeks) who couldn't identify the issue completely. Dustin fixed our clog and then diagnosed and fixed our broken sewer line within a matter of days for a fraction of what the other company wanted to charge us. He's such an honest, personable, and kind man to work with. We would definitely recommend to anyone!

The office personnel was so very understanding and compassionate. She was trying to get the best appointment and kept me informed on the status. The two repairmen were excellent. They went about their job and was very efficient. They removed and installed the new one in record time. I was very impressed with the company and would recommend them to anyone. I would have liked to have a new drip pan but that is a little thing.

We found a leak coming from our washer water hookup and wanted to replace our outdoor water faucets at the same time. They came out that day on time (actually early, but he called to make sure it was ok). Dustin was fantastic! He said that all we would have to do is tighten something to stop the leak and there wouldn’t be a charge for that. We opted to replace the whole thing because it was old anyways. The outdoor faucets look great and work fantastically. He was very knowledgeable, personable, and very honest. He also did not talk down to me, which is very important to me. The prices for Plumb Doctor are also very reasonable!

Received two services today. The first from Chuck to open our kitchen drain. This has had to be repeatly reopened (annually or so). Chuck got it open and called a technician to scope the drain with a camera. James arrived and diagnosed the issue. He was also very outgoing and professional. We are scheduled to flush the line of years of buildup that a snake can not fully clear. They both did an excellent job and made the experience as pleasant as possible. Note did not pay for opening drain as it had not been a year since was done. Price is to flush the grease from the line.

Scott Steepleton came out and did a plumbing estimate for me. He was very nice, polite, and friendly. Throughout the next few days, I contacted him several times trying to decide on which water softener was best for me. I know he was busy, but he always gave me his time and was patient and helpful. He played a large role in my selecting Mr. Plumber for this job. I would for sure want to work with him again. The install consisted of a new bathroom faucet that I had purchased for a 100 year old sink that I really like and wanted to keep and a new water softener to replace my old worn out Culligan. Steve Bettis and Jacob Stumpf came out about 9AM and got right to work. Both fellows were really nice guys and very friendly. They put down huge tarps throughout the areas they would be walking and were extra careful not to let any of my cats out the door, which sounds silly maybe, but both of those things were important to me. Jacob started with the softener install, which was down a bunch of steps in the basement. That Culligan tank had maybe 300lbs of old yucky salt in it, and he had to break that up, scoop it out into buckets, and carry all that to the truck before he could get that old tank out. Just an awful job, he never complained at all, just got it done and was always smiling and nice. He installed the new EcoWater softener, and the install is just lovely, very clean, well-done, and professional. He worked with Steve to make sure the install was perfect and he left the area spotlessly clean. Very nicely done. Steve showed me how to use the digital programming on it. This softener is really nice, monitors salt storage and usage and knows when regeneration is needed automatically. While Jacob was doing that, Steve tackled the bathroom faucet install, which turned out to be as big a project as the softener. He had to disconnect all the sink lines, then lift that old 30lb sink and vanity up off the iron brackets in back and pull it out for access, because there really isn’t adequate access to the faucet connections up under there unless you’re the size of a squirrel and have X-ray night vision. He lifted that sink out of there, took that old one off, and installed my new faucet and pop-up valve like he had done it a 100 times. I noticed how very careful he was to align everything perfectly and handle the new parts gently, not scratching them all up or messing up the gaskets. He set that sink back in, hooked everything back up, and tested. A small leak. No cussing or acting hateful. Just re-did the process of removing the sink, tightened up what really seemed like the problem, and put it all back together again. Still a leak. There turned out to be an issue with the threads on the faucet nozzle, requiring some teflon tape and a very tight extra turn when installing—this took 2 more sink removals and re-hookups, but Steve never quit and never complained, he just worked it out and never gave up. He and Jacob put some screws in my ancient old vanity to tighten it up for me after all this was done and Steve put new caulk around the sink edges. They left my bathroom spotless. Steve is a real old-time professional, a perfectionist, and he couldn’t have been nicer. My experience with both of these men and their work was simply exceptional, and I will for sure ask for their help in the future. Thank you!

The team that came to install the water softener and the water filtration system at my home today was absolutely fantastic. They were professional, efficient, and very fast, while still doing an excellent job. On top of that, they were extremely friendly and easy to talk to, which made the whole experience even better. Everything was explained clearly, the installation went smoothly, and the place was left clean and organized. I’m very happy with the service and would definitely recommend this team to anyone!

Danny, Billy, Austin and all the guys at 317 plumber have been great to work with. They helped identify a main sewer line backup issue which required some deep digging and the installation of an exterior clean out (as a starting point), identified several code issues and helped resolve an urgent leak that required us to turn off the water to the house. They showed up when they said they would, they were responsive even on weekends and were clear, concise and patient when describing issues and proposing solutions. We're very thankful they were recommended to us.

With below freezing tempuratures and water mains busting throughout the East side, we certainly experienced low water pressure that led to our hot water heater blowing the drain gasket and emptied into our home, flooding every bedroom. I reached out to Danny last night after an old copper pipe to the heater fill valve then burst too. He emediately called me, reached out to his guys and had someone here 1st thing this morning. I highly recommend their services. A small, independent business with 29 years of liscenced experience. His guy, Dave, was cordial, pleasant to work with and repaired the hot water heater efficiently. As well I was put in emmediate touch with a restoration company. This was the most pleasant plumbing experience, given the stressful circumstances, I have ever experienced. Again, I highly recommend their services and supporting a small business.

317 Plumber was contracted for our neighborhood’s efforts to move from septic to sanitary sewer, and we could not have been happier with Danny’s oversight of the project. Danny was frequently onsite, taking the time to explain each step of the process and ensuring everything ran smoothly. Although the original plan required dismantling our deck, Danny came up with a workaround for us to reroute our plumbing inside and save us quite a bit of headache and expense. He and his team were incredibly professional and cordial, just overall good people. Will certainly be using 317 Plumber again when plumbing needs arise!

Matt was great. Personable, friendly and got the slow dream fixed. It was bio around the drain stopper causing slow drain. An easy fix that I thought I had fixed with baking soda and vinegar. Guess that DYI fix didn’t get it. It would be nice if the company supplied technicians with a pipe brush to fully scrub out the bio out between the sink and p-trap so he didn’t have to use wrench handle to try and remove (pic attached.). Also, a small brush to fully clean bio off drain stop instead of having to use a paper towel that left much bio. Just a thought.

I had Mr plumber make an annual check of my homes plumbing system including draining and checking my water heater for optimal performance. In addition, my water softener was checked by testing the water quality testing the hardness of the water. My Technician Caleb, Who’s Perry kept me informed of? He was checking it all time. Reviewed all the results and was very work conscientious and completed his tasks and in a timely manner. I thank him. Gary Baker Fishers Indiana

We have had Mr Plumber do several jobs at our house. They have put in a tankless water heater, replaced our sump pump and backup pump, and helped repair a shower leak. They also have come out to help us with a “sewer” smell in our basement. Jon always does a great job. He goes above and beyond. He is super friendly. We have enjoyed getting to know him through all of our repairs. He is very reliable, and we would definitely recommend to anyone.

Verify Availability Before You Call

Professional Drain Cleaning in Indianapolis

Indianapolis homeowners know that a clogged drain can quickly escalate from a minor nuisance to a household emergency. Whether you are dealing with a slow-moving sink in a historic Meridian-Kessler home or a backed-up sewer line in a modern suburban build, you need a solution that is both local and immediate. Our service takes the guesswork out of finding help by connecting you with certified professionals who understand the specific plumbing nuances of the Circle City. We pride ourselves on a unique verification process that goes beyond a simple directory. We actively filter our network of experts based on your exact Indianapolis zip code and then take the extra step of calling them to confirm their 24-hour availability. This means when we connect you, you aren't just getting a name—you are getting a confirmed appointment with a professional who is ready to head to your door right now.

Common Drain Issues in Indianapolis

Hard Water Mineral Scaling: Central Indiana is notorious for hard water. Over time, calcium and magnesium deposits build up inside Indianapolis pipes, narrowing the passage and making it much easier for hair and soap scum to create stubborn clogs.

Historic Clay Pipe Root Intrusion: In older neighborhoods like Irvington or Broad Ripple, many homes still utilize original clay sewer pipes. The mature trees that line these streets often send roots deep into the ground, infiltrating pipe joints and causing massive blockages that require professional hydro-jetting.

Kitchen Grease from Hosting: Indianapolis is a city that loves to host, from race day parties to holiday gatherings. These events often put a strain on kitchen disposals, where grease and food scraps can solidify in the cool underground pipes, leading to complete kitchen sink backups.

Basement Floor Drain Backups: With the high water table in parts of Marion County, basement floor drains can often back up during heavy rainstorms. If these drains aren't kept clear of debris and sediment, they can't effectively protect your home from local flooding or sewer surcharges.

Seasonal Drain Maintenance Tips for Indianapolis

Spring Thaw Readiness: As the ground thaws in early March, ensure your basement floor drains are clear. The combination of melting snow and spring rains in Indy can put immense pressure on your drainage system.

Summer Humidity & Condensate: During the humid Indianapolis July, your air conditioner works overtime. Ensure the floor drains near your HVAC unit are clean to handle the constant flow of condensation and prevent basement dampness.

Fall Leaf Prevention: Before the first autumn storm hits, clear your outdoor area drains of falling leaves from Indianapolis's many oak and maple trees. This prevents water from pooling against your foundation.

Winter Freeze Protection: Sluggish drains are the first to freeze when temperatures drop below zero in January. Get your pipes professionally cleaned in late fall to ensure water flows quickly and doesn't have the chance to turn into ice plugs.

Average Drain Cleaning Costs in Indianapolis

$145-$475

The cost of drain cleaning in Indianapolis depends on the location of the clog and the equipment needed. Simple snaking for a bathroom sink is on the lower end, while main sewer line clearing or hydro-jetting for root removal falls on the higher end.

Frequently Asked Questions about Drain Cleaning in Indianapolis

How quickly can I get a plumber to my Indianapolis home?

Because we filter by your specific zip code and call to verify 24-hour availability before you even pick up the phone, we can often find an Indianapolis professional who can be at your door within a few hours.

Does hard water in Central Indiana affect my drains?

Yes, Indianapolis has some of the hardest water in the country. This leads to mineral scale buildup which catches hair and debris, causing more frequent clogs than in cities with soft water.

Can you help with sewer backups in older Indy neighborhoods?

Absolutely. We have experts in our network who specialize in the clay and cast-iron pipes common in older Indianapolis areas, using camera inspections and hydro-jetting to clear root intrusions.

Do you serve all zip codes in the Indianapolis metro area?

Yes, our system scans for certified plumbers across the entire metro area, filtering specifically for your zip code to ensure the fastest possible response time.

Are the plumbers in your network licensed to work in Indiana?

Yes, we only work with certified, local professionals who are fully licensed and familiar with Indiana plumbing codes and local Indianapolis drainage requirements.
