Update: pissed off customer! lying to customers isn’t expectable. You did not jet our lines. If you jetted our lines, I wouldn’t be on here wasting our time. Only thing we dug up “by hand” was the door to septic and Dbox. Didn’t break the law and surely did not need to call the health department for that… They went 6 feet in and hit our D/box elbow,That was exactly 6 feet from the tank. We Jetted our lines 40 feet in with the 50 foot line going through massive clogs took us 3 1/2 hours. First pipe, first clog 1ft in from Dbox. Thank you Walmart and Amazon for all the products. 1970s design and has been updated according to the newer pvc pipes. If I listened to you guys, I would’ve wasted time and money for something I didn’t even need. This company as just interested in our money, not helping our family out in the time of need. We did not need a new drain Feild, pipes were not crushed. Didn’t need to dig up the yard. Would appreciate a refund! Robbed and kicked in the gut is how we feel. $1550 later…. Called to have my septic pipes jetted. Has to be pumped due to being full to access the outlet pipe to jet. Was told 850-1400$. I would never pay this but I was desperate. The sewage was backing into our tubs and I have 2 toddlers and an infant. I can’t deal with this bio hazard. So, he said they would be out the following day with 30 min window and did as such, very prompt! I told the guy assisting exactly where both openings are to the tank and they are 1ft-1.5 down. I know because I covered the hole and laid seed down 6m prior. They were digging all over the place. I had to go in the house to attend to my kids, so I couldn’t supervise the job the whole time. I get a knock on my kitchen door I heard him say they will be back. I said ok, didn’t ask why my kids were being loud so,fine no rush. They came back with a freaking excavator to save his back he said. The opening is literally not even 2 ft down and about a 24x24 slab cover. I Told him several times where it was! We’ve had this tank pumped 3 times by 2 different companies 2 inspections passed in the 2 years living here and this will make 4th and never needed heavy equipment to access. Hell we’ve dug it up a few times ourselves,so I know. My yard is tore all to hell from digging everywhere except the right spot. Didn’t bother to tell me the up-charge for that I would have never agreed to. I promise you I would’ve dug it for them! Once the pipe was exposed to jet. They proceeded to do so and found out in less than 5 minutes and 6ft down w/changing the head on it that “it can’t be done, the pipe is crushed, I’ll need a new drain Feild and to contact the health department and they’ll come back out to do an estimate for that”. Umm how do you not know it may just need a simple repair to the outlet pipe which I will be doing myself and next day I did, my distribution box is clogged. I’ve flipped 2 homes, do a majority of the work myself, I’m not ignorant. Someone else would just installed a whole new system first. Didn’t bother to tell me about maybe needing a repair. So, after a tore up yard larger than the tank it’s self with an excavator, pumping the tank ,I don’t even know if it was fully pumped. Unsuccessful jetting for less than 5min. And my toilets still aren’t flushing and gurgling pipes cost me $1550. It can take 1-several hrs maybe to jet the pipes depending on the system and severity. Not a 5 min attempt. This is not a service being done. This is disputable. Last time I had a pump and no torn-up yard $250! I was beyond devastated. I couldn’t freaking believe it. 20yrs in retail management and customer service in the building industry, I knew in my heart this was so beyond wrong. Called my husband at work after they left and told him I felt like we got scammed. Family of 5 on one income. We were desperate to get this tank resolved and didn’t. Paid for a job that wasn’t able to be completed. We are so disappointed with this company. I hate leaving this review, but we are dumbfounded by this and hope someone else will think twice.

They had someone out within an hour on a Sunday morning. My issues were resolved very quickly. Very professional and courteous. He took the time to explain what caused the issue and how to prevent further issues in the future. We are very pleased with the level of service that we received!

The most wholesome and genuine hearted people to come across! We aren’t from here, traveled from Indiana with a camper and our truck died in the middle of the road and as we were traveling. A man and his coworker towed us to their shop to let our truck cool down and restart, they didn’t want any money- only wanted to genuinely help us! You never come across good people these days and we are so thankful for the type of people this company hires. You can tell they’re more than hard workers, they’re true genuine spirits and we wish nothing but the most success for them, their families and their business! Thank you for your help ❤️

Jason from Tisons was on time, courteous, knowledgeable, and focused. He repaired a damaged leaking pipe under the kitchen sink and upgraded all the drain connections. The cost was reasonable. I will use Tisons again in the future when I need plumbing work done.

Jason and his assistant were in my driveway an hour after I called. They listened as I explained the sewer drainage problem we had over the holidays, then went under the house to investigate. They quickly spotted an issue with an unsupported pipe, fixed it, and then snaked out the line downstream to ensure everything was clear. Exceptional service and quick turn around. Highly recommended! Thank you very much!

I actually went to school with Mike Nelms and his wife Lori, and always liked them, so I am not surprised that they have a successful plumbing business. Two of their sons that work with Nelms Plumbing Repair and Drain Cleaning, LLC came to work on our new rental property's sewer line, as it was backing up in the house. They were respectful, sweet, very professional and prompt. They had us repaired in no time. I would recommend this company to anyone! Keep up the good work!

I scheduled them to pressure jet my kitchen drain. I was given a low price. They came out and spent right at two and a half hours, and finally got my drain unclogged. This should have only taken about 45 minutes in and out, but the blockage was way up in the plumbing, and it was a very bad blockage. When I got my bill, it was exactly what they had told me. There's no way that a company can survive charging this price for 2 and 1/2 hours for labor, but they kept their word. I called the office and told him I had a problem with the billing, i explained to them the reason and asked them to correct the invoice to a proper amount to take care of the labor. If they're not going to make a profit, they won't be in business next time I need them. Sometimes, you just have to do what is right. They kept their word, so i made it right.

I had a clogged pipe for a while...tried every trick to get it flowing. Literally washing clothes with a tube hanging out the back door to drain the water during loads!! I called these wonderful folks and it was fixed in no time. Fletcher was so nice, listened to us and gave great info about the pipes and advice moving forward. He deserves a raise (and maybe even a medal for putting up with my old man)!! BEST SERVICE BAR NONE!!

I have been slowly remodeling my home after storm damages, and Plumbing Pros has been prompt, thorough, and reasonably priced while providing top notch work. I have dealt with a couple different plumbers in the area over the last couple years and they are the best, most professional and courteous, and being affordable makes it that much better. I will absolutely have them complete the remaining work in my updates, and when I'm ready for a new water heater and whole house filtration system install, they will be the first call I make!

I called on Wednesday about a sewage backup. They sent a tech out who came out and inspected and evaluated the problem, he ran his camera into line and discovered a compromised section due to tree roots partially blocking the line but could not get his camera around the obstruction due to the camera head was to big. He reached out to his coworkers to have someone come back 2 days after with a smaller camera head to see further down the sewage line to determine if there were more compromised sections of the drain to the city street line, and if so, to then determine whether to replace the entire line or just repair the one section that STILL needed to be dug up and repaired. This person never showed, nobody from the office called me to tell me they were not going to show. When I called the office, the girl Morgan said because I had refused to pay for the REPAIR cost for the work done 2 days prior, they said they were not wanting to be bothered with me as a customer. I had spoken to Morgan the night their employee was here because she called me explaining to me that I needed to pay for the tech they sent out (today) for his work, which was flushing the line and running the camera to see what was going on. I explained to her the repair to the line was being postponed until we could find out more of the condition of the rest of the line and was given instructions that I could run water through the line until they came out today (2 days later) but I need to avoid putting anything substaintual in the line until the repair had been made. Morgan asked me had the line been repaired, i told her no there has been no repair and the problem with the line has not been resolved until we can determine the rest of the condition of the line. I was explained the charges I would be paying and had no problem agreeing to the charges but would pay for them when the repair to the line has been completed. You guys made a snap judgement and didn't even bother to tell me about it. Not a good or fair way to communicate with or treat your customer. I never refused to pay, but surely you cant expect a customer to pay for a repair when the repair hasnt been done or the problem hasn't been resolved.

I work for a company that is changing the water meters in Lowndes County for the County. There are times we can't flush the line and leave a notification due to the location of the spicket and the homeowner no being honest at the time of install. We were put of town amd we needed a install checked to be sure there was nothing wrong. When u flush the line yourself there can be a little nasty looking sludge and it can be scary if you don't know what to expect. Mr Rooter went out for us and did a fantastic job. They were honest and that is so important. They were nice, kept us informed each step of the way and very timely. We will call them anytime we need a plumber on this project. Doesn't happen much but occasionally it will. Thank You Mr. Rooter, the entire team from the 1st call, to the Service Tech, to the woman who handles invoices, to the very end.... ALL OF YOU ARE WONDERFUL! We do appreciate You!

There was a big problem with our appointment time and had to rescheduled for the next day. We had a small broken PVC pipe on our irrigation system caused by freezing weather. It was above ground. After seeing the broken pipe, the plumber quoted us a price to replace the one inch small PVC pipe of “somewhere between $700-$1000”. We told him that price estimate is unacceptable. We finally traded at $350. That’s still too much but we needed it fixed. I do not recommend this company. The plumber was really nice but in my opinion, they don’t have set prices for services and they start out extremely high. He had to keep calling his supervisors. I hope the sweet young plumber finds a more reputable place to work!

Didn’t have supplies on hand so quoted me a very high estimate at first $500-600 to fix a pvc pipe on the outside of my house, so I asked him about capping it and he said $450 😲. So I made a phone call and within a few minutes, he said that his boss told him they can cap it for $145. So if I would have never made that call, he would have charged me triple the amount of what I paid. The owner since called me was very nice and took time to clarify things. Overall, I appreciated their quick response to an urgent situation.

In search of a plumber to transform my bathtub into a walk-in shower, I have reviewed several companies. Hunters Commercial and Residential Maintenance Plumbing Company appears to be the most suitable option based on the positive reviews. On February 1, I contacted Gary, and our conversation was satisfactory. He requested that I provide him with photographs of the bathroom. Despite his assurance that he would promptly respond, I have yet to receive any follow-up from Gary. This lack of communication has left me disappointed and concerned, as the company’s reputation is highly regarded. This is the third plumber I have reached out to, and none have provided a satisfactory response or completed the requested work. If the company is unable to fulfill my request, it would be appropriate for them to contact me via phone to inform me of their inability to do so. It was very unprofessional of you to mention a conversation I had with you regarding another Plummer, and you only reached out to me, Gary, after you had read my review. While you may not have asked me to look on Amazon, you never contacted me back either until after I had written this review. Nonetheless, I wish you a wonderful day and extend my best wishes.

I came home to water dripping on my bathroom floor and was afraid my roof would fall in. I sent Hunter pictures and he texted me back immediately that he had no new pressure tank and was urgently on his way. He is very knowledgeable and that kept me calm. I appreciate all of his help and in the rain.

Professional Drain Cleaning in Valdosta, Georgia

Valdosta is a unique blend of historic South Georgia charm and a bustling university town, but whether you're living in a classic home near Valdosta State or a newer build near Remerton, a clogged drain can bring your day to a standstill. The local humidity and the heavy presence of oaks and pines mean that plumbing systems here face specific challenges that require local expertise.

Our service takes the guesswork out of finding reliable help in Lowndes County. Instead of you calling down a list of 13 different plumbers hoping someone is free, we do the legwork for you. We filter our network by your exact zip code and personally call to confirm they can handle your specific drain emergency immediately. Whether it's a midnight backup or a slow-moving sink, we ensure the professional who shows up is ready and available.

Common Drain Issues in Valdosta, Georgia

Tree Root Intrusion: Valdosta’s beautiful canopy of live oaks and pines comes with a hidden cost—aggressive root systems. These roots seek out moisture in your sewer lines, causing hairline cracks to turn into major blockages that only professional hydro-jetting can clear.

Mineral Scale from Hard Water: Like much of South Georgia, Valdosta's water can lead to mineral buildup. Over time, calcium and magnesium deposits narrow your pipes, leading to slow-moving drains in your bathroom and kitchen that DIY chemicals simply can't fix.

Historic Plumbing Challenges: In Valdosta's historic districts, older homes often feature galvanized steel or clay pipes. These aging materials are prone to corrosion and collapse, requiring specialized cleaning techniques that won't damage the integrity of your vintage plumbing.

Sand and Silt Accumulation: With our coastal-plain soil, heavy rain can often wash sand and silt into outdoor drains or basement floor drains. This sediment settles in the 'P-trap,' creating a dense sludge that requires professional suction and cleaning to restore flow.

Seasonal Drain Maintenance Tips for Valdosta, Georgia

Fall Leaf Management: As the leaves drop in the 'Azalea City,' ensure your outdoor yard drains and gutters are clear. Organic debris can quickly wash into your drain lines during a South Georgia thunderstorm, causing major backups.

Spring Root Check: Spring is when Valdosta’s trees are most active. This is the best time to have a camera inspection of your main sewer line to catch thirsty roots before they penetrate your pipes.

Summer Humidity Precautions: With Valdosta’s intense summer humidity, condensation on pipes can lead to mold issues. Ensure your basement or crawlspace drains are clear to prevent standing water from worsening the moisture levels.

Winter Pipe Prep: While Valdosta winters are mild, we do get occasional hard freezes. Ensure your outdoor spigots are drained and that any exterior-facing drain lines are insulated to prevent pressure-related clogs or bursts.

Average Drain Cleaning Costs in Valdosta, Georgia

$150-$450

Prices in Valdosta typically range based on the severity of the clog and the equipment needed (e.g., a simple snake vs. hydro-jetting). Emergency after-hours calls or deep-line sewer cleaning may fall at the higher end of the spectrum.

Frequently Asked Questions about Drain Cleaning in Valdosta, Georgia

My home in the Brookwood North neighborhood has old pipes; is professional cleaning safe?

Our network includes experts who specialize in historic Valdosta homes. They use camera inspections first to determine if your pipes can handle high-pressure jetting or if a more gentle mechanical snaking is required.

In this part of Georgia, tree root intrusion from local oaks and pines is the leading cause of main line backups, followed closely by grease accumulation and aging pipe infrastructure.
