If there were negative stars I’d happily give them. After an apparent successful drain field installation, we had a backup into the house after a year and a half. Contacted J&J to come out and see what the issue was. Multiple time frames and promises were made about coming out but they did not stick to their word. One of their employees finally came out and after assessing, thought it could be a drain field issue (they stated we shouldn’t have any problems for “40 years). This employee actually told me he thought the drain field was improperly designed. Upon further assessment, he also discovered the main line pipe to the tank had some sort of unexplainable concrete between the two. Now mind you this is something they also worked on while the drain field was put in. The tech said in his 14 years of experience he had never seen something like this and further told me this was likely improperly done. I cannot even fathom the level of incompetence, lack of customer service and empathy this company has displayed through this experience. My wife and I just had a baby this past week and they have caused unneeded stress during this happy time. I cannot tell people enough how much to avoid this company. They will not stand behind their work nor do they care about the customer. Final note- their septic warranty is only good for a year which is definitely not the 40 years of no issues I was promised verbally.

Wow! I had a lot of work to be done in my new home: I needed a new water heater, a washer/dryer install, and they needed to do some other stuff to get everything safe (it's an old house, the old water heater didn't even have a release valve). These guys got it done at a reasonable price! Bonus: very friendly and courteous (thanks so much for getting rid of that dead cat you found in the crawl space for me, talk about above and beyond!). All that is left to do is to come out tomorrow to clean out the drain pipes. I have no doubt that that will get completed to the same solid, quality standard. I could not recommend these guys more! They will be my go to for all of my plumbing needs. Thanks again! Update on 9/7/2017 -- Had to use them again for a toilet replacement. Hector was wonderful and so helpful! 5 star rating yet again. These guys are the only company I'll use. Thanks again!

I had to call multiple times to get through to scheduling a visit for my leak underneath my sink. Once George showed up, he was actually very nice and seemed to know what he was doing. However he discovered I needed a new sink faucet which I didn’t have. I was told to go ahead & pay $250 that day which included the faucet replacement once I bought it so I obliged. I would like to mention, their office doesn’t answer the phone so much that he couldn’t initially take my card payment so I offered to have him follow me to the bank. I paid him & he instructed me to call his cell or the office to schedule for him to come back & replace the sink. I called what now has to be 20x. Eventually someone answered & I attempted to reschedule but they said George would call me. When he called he said he’d come by the very next day. It’s been days now & he has not come nor will they answer the phone. Update: The plumber ended up calling back and coming back to finish the job. Once arriving to my home, he was fast and efficient.

If you're looking for knowledgeable and professional this is the place! From the office to the guys who came out a pleasure to deal with. Mike and Tony did a fantastic job fixing my sump pump and emptying the tanks. Made sure everything was operating correctly before covering everything back up. Extremely nice and on time as well. Answered any questions I had. I will be using them for any septic and plumbing issues in the future. Thanks for the fantastic service!!!

Quade’ and his teammate were the epitome of professionalism, and friendliness. They wasted no time. Very courteous in their interaction assessing the problem of our backed up sewage, cleaned it out, replaced a part, then cleaned the bathroom like an A1 cleaning team!!!! For all your plumbing problems and needs I recommend calling them!!!

I paid this company to run a camera down my sewer line. I was given pictures of my yard with a picture of the laptop showing the screen only. I was told that my video had been recorded over. This is the worst service I've ever encountered with business. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

I visited my grandmother this morning and when I arrived her water would not run hot. One less than 5 minute call and we had a technician, Austin Daniels, here within 30 minutes! He was very kind, and respectful to my grandmother. Detailed on what he described and wants you to understand. Our entire water heater was replaced in under 2 hours and he did it all by himself! This company is great, I’ve just never had any issues. 5 stars all the way around! Thank you Austin!

Our air conditioner stopped working last week, and a crew came out immediately to see if it could be revived. Unfortunately, the unit couldn’t be repaired without a total overhaul. After a thoughtful discussion, we decided it made more sense to invest in a new system rather than continue putting money into an old one. Aaron and Dylan spent the entire day installing the new unit, and they were outstanding. They were professional, hardworking, and incredibly knowledgable throughout the process. We truly could not have asked for a better experience and are very grateful for their excellent work.

Both of my kitchen sinks had been clogged for two weeks…. And Draino didn’t help at all. Fortunately, my nephew referred me to Mark at Professional Plumbing. Mark showed up promptly, and had them unplugged within thirty minutes. Apparently I had something solid in my drain pipe, that was way down pretty far, but Mark had it fixed in no time! He was very professional, kind, and thorough. I highly recommend them for your plumbing needs!

All the staff were very professional..from my first call to inquire to my third call to schedule.. They were patient with all my questions.. Mark and Chris came out to my home, identified the issue and corrected it in a timely manner. They took time to listen to me as well as explain the issue in an understandable way. I would definitely use Professional Plumbing again! (Mrs. Hightower)

The person I called was very professional and even with a full schedule, they were able to squeeze me in for my emergency. The workers were very kind and professional. They didn't rush me and based on my description of the problem, they immediately got to work and fixed it. I am very happy with the results! Highly recommend them. You won't be disappointed. I rarely do reviews with a description, so this tells you a lot.

I called them for a leaking tub faucet for my 85 yr old grandmother, and they say they replaced two parts and it still didn't work. They left the job twice in search of parts and still charged me for two hrs, when they only actually worked for one. AFTER ALL THAT, they said it was something else, demanded $310 for parts that didn't work and $125 a hour x2 for labor. THEN said it would be another $400 to ACTUALLY FIX IT!!!!!.....I even called and asked could they take off for the parts since you are about to replace everything INCLUDING those parts....they said NO and made my grandmother pay them in full!!! I went to Winnelson plumbing Supply and did it myself for $200 I wish I would have known what it was could have saved $300 bucks.........I WILL NEVER EVEN THINK ABOUT CALLING THEM AGAIN!!! I WOULDN'T GIVE THEM ANY STARS BUT YOU HAVE TO IN ORDER TO POST YOUR COMMENT!

Hats off to Robert who responded to my emergency call for a busted pipe under my house here in Albany. Even though it was late at night Robert was able to repair the busted pipe so that my family was able to take their normal showers early the next morning. Thanks again Robert.

I gave 1 star because no stars was not an option. Terrible. I called for service, was never told that there was a service call fee, then cancelled it and he showed up 20 minutes later and demanded $90.00, he did nothing, he stayed on the property until he was paid in cash

They can't even answer the phone. I called twice and heard the message that the call would be recorded, then it sounded like someone picked up the phone and hung it up.

Hey y'all I can't say enough about how good this company and it's employees have treated me. I had a busted main water line and called Terry, she was able to get me help in 2 hours when everyone else said 2 days. A young man named Cody came to the rescue and he had me up and running in 15 min. I am a customer for life. Thank you so much

Everything was great, from scheduling to service at our house. Everything was on time and professional and I highly recommend. I searched ahead of time and was not quite sure who to go with and I'm so happy we went with them. Our fridge is working fine again and both our bathrooms are as well. Both guys were on top of everything. Thank you so much! :)

Verify Availability Before You Call

Professional Drain Cleaning in Albany, Georgia

Albany residents know that the Good Life City shouldn't be interrupted by a backed-up sink or a clogged main sewer line. Whether you're living near the Flint River or closer to the bypass, finding a plumber who is actually available when you need them is often the hardest part of a plumbing emergency. Our service simplifies the process by monitoring a network of certified local professionals to find the one closest to your neighborhood.

We don't just provide a generic list; we proactively filter by your specific Albany zip code and call the plumbers ourselves to ensure they have the tools and immediate availability to handle your drain issue right now. This means no more 'leave a message' loops or waiting hours for a callback that never comes. We bridge the gap between your emergency and a verified solution in minutes.

Common Drain Issues in Albany, Georgia

Hard Water Mineral Buildup: Albany’s water supply can often lead to calcium and magnesium deposits inside your pipes. Over time, this scale narrows the passage, causing slow drains that standard store-bought chemical cleaners simply cannot resolve.

Pecan and Oak Tree Root Intrusion: Known for our beautiful canopy, Albany’s extensive root systems—especially from mature pecan and oak trees—often seek out moisture in underground sewer lines. This can lead to massive blockages and even pipe collapses if the roots aren't cleared professionally.

Kitchen Grease from Southern Cooking: We love our local cuisine, but pouring fats and oils down the drain leads to 'fatbergs' in your plumbing. These stubborn clogs often require professional hydro-jetting to fully clear the line without damaging older cast-iron pipes found in many Albany homes.

Storm Water and Silt Backup: During Georgia’s heavy rain seasons, outdoor drains and basement lines can quickly become overwhelmed with silt and organic debris. This leads to messy backups that require immediate attention to prevent long-term water damage to your property.

Seasonal Drain Maintenance Tips for Albany, Georgia

Spring: Check your outdoor area drains and gutters for organic debris and heavy pollen buildup that can wash into your sewer system during seasonal thunderstorms.

Summer: With high humidity and increased water usage for landscaping, ensure your main line is clear to handle the extra volume and prevent sewer gases from rising through the pipes.

Fall: Keep fallen leaves away from your external drain grates. In Albany, the heavy leaf drop from hardwoods can quickly clog perimeter drains and cause localized flooding around your foundation.

Winter: While South Georgia rarely sees deep freezes, cold snaps can cause grease in your pipes to solidify much faster. Avoid pouring any cooking fats down the sink during the holidays to prevent emergency clogs.

Average Drain Cleaning Costs in Albany, Georgia

$125-$475

Pricing in Albany typically depends on the location and severity of the clog. A simple sink or tub snaking is more affordable, while main line clearing or hydro-jetting to remove invasive tree roots will fall on the higher end of the scale.

Frequently Asked Questions about Drain Cleaning in Albany, Georgia

How fast can I get a plumber to my home near the Albany Mall?

Because we filter by your specific zip code and verify availability before you call, we can often find a certified plumber who can be at your Northwest Albany location within a few hours of your request.

Do Albany plumbers offer emergency services on weekends?

Yes, our network includes providers who offer 24/7 emergency services. We personally call them to confirm they are on duty and have a technician available before we connect you, saving you the hassle of calling multiple shops.

Are the plumbers in your network familiar with older homes in the Rawson Park area?

Absolutely. We verify that our certified plumbers have the experience and equipment to handle both the clay pipes found in historic Albany neighborhoods and modern PVC systems.

How does the local Albany climate affect my drains?

The intense Georgia heat and humidity can accelerate the growth of mold and bacteria in slow-moving drains. Our verified pros use professional-grade tools to ensure your lines are completely clear, which helps reduce recurring odors.

Will the plumber confirm the price before starting the work?

Yes, while we provide local averages for Albany, the verified plumber we find for you will provide a specific, upfront quote after diagnosing the issue at your property.
