Expert Drain Cleaning in Fond du Lac, WI

Strong plumbing came through in a very stressful time for my wife and I. I live in a single story home no basement. But I have a utility room. The house was built in 1962 and sits on a cement slab. All of a sudden my kitchen sink stopped draining. No indication that this was going to happen. It just stopped. I had Roto Rooter come in and try to snake it out. They end up telling me I need to call a plumber. I have a collapsed drain line. I'm thinking my floor is going to get tore out and I'm just stressing. I call Strong Plumbing they run a chain snake through my pipes and everything is working. Thank you Strong Plumbing. Forever a customer.

I've used Strong's quite a few times at a couple properties in Fond du Lac. Mind you these are older properties so nothing is simple. From snaking drain clogs to replacing cast iron pipe, these guys have been nothing but great. Responsive, reliable, professional and fairly priced.

It was a Wednesday Morning when a toiled in a half bathroom wouldn't flush. Usually a few good Plunges and we are good to go, However this time there was obviously something wrong. The first plumber I called would not have been able to make it out to the house until the following week. So I called the next phone number. It was about 1230. I was told that someone would be able to come out right way. which was about 20-45 minutes later. Two people came and got to work immediately. In making small talk i told one guy where I worked, he told the younger guy he knows my employment and there was no rush in getting the work done. They took off the toilet and set in an the new subfloor in the kitchen without taking anything under it so that caused a huge stain on the bare wood. Then They opened up the septic tank in the back of the house. and still couldn't figure out the problem. I had to leave to pick up my son from the airport at about 215 as his flight was set to land at 330. At about 3:30 I got a phone call that they still had not figured out the problem and were going to send the camera down the pipe. My fiancée got home from work shortly after 4pm. At about 430 my fiancée called my and said. "there are no words" He didn't go into detail. The so-called plumbers had opened a pipe in the basement that caused about 100 gallons of liquid sewage on the basement floor. One said "we are plumbers not cleaners" the other suggested the best way to clean it was to let it dry and shovel it up. The problem ended up being a cast iron pipe that was severely degraded. I was billed for 7.5 hours of work at $99.00 and hour. The crew of Two was at my house from about 1pm until about 5:15pm. in my simple math that does not equal 7.5 hours. the bill was over $860.00. with $800 of it being for labor. My advice, wait for the busy plumber!

Great service! Went straight to work and fixed our sewer drain in basement we had some root issues and needed pipes flushed since everything was backing up in basement. He was able to fix and clean pipes and also removed roots for us. The price was amazing and better then other business. Also I'd like to say our autistic son who is 2 ran up to him and hug him which he was very nice to our son and family and I'd recommend him to anyone

Joshua came and cleaned the sewer drain. He did his best to solve my dad’s drain issue. Did an excellent job cleaning up afterwards. Would highly recommend him.

Josh did a wonderful job. He returned my phone call within an hour when an issue arose in my sewer. He was able to make an appointment the same day and fixed all my problems. Good workmanship. I haven't needed the services of a plumber in years, but to me, it seemed a bit expensive. I was charged $110 per hour plus cost of P-trap and various other piping. I thought I only needed to have the kitchen sink drain unclogged, but it turned into a more extensive issue, I guess, because all the piping under the sink was replaced. All in all I was charged just short of $300 for the job. I'm not complaining by any means, cuz the job was well done, but I think I paid a little too much for the work that was done.

Didn’t use their services but one of their employees offered to pay for my oil change just for being a nice human. Always great to know there are good people in the world still

I was looking at the reviews for Mies Plumbing and noted that one was written by a friend whom I later called - the referral was very strong. Sam showed up right on time and shared the cost with me prior to working (which I thought to be quite fair considering the work that was ahead of him). He was very professional and did not at all mind my asking questions as he went about quickly solving the problem (a well-plugged drain). I hope not to need Mies' services too soon, but their number will be the one I'm dialing if I have a problem.

We had issues with slow draining kitchen sink, water heater making noises, rusted out connection by laundry hookups, and no running water to the his and her bathroom sinks. I called at 8:00, right when they open and someone answered. She listened to my list of repairs and put us in a time slot for the next day. She also mentioned if they could come out the same day, she would give me a call. To my surprise, she came back and had a service tech, Sam available to head over! Sam was very professional. He was able to diagnose the issues we were having and gave me an estimate before doing any work. I did end spending more because the garbage disposal was shot (causing the water to drain very slow in the kitchen sink). We went over options- there was no pressure into getting a new one, much less trying to talking me into a bigger more expensive one. I decided to replace it and was cautious about using up all his time to go pick one up. He assured me it was no problem, checked out everything else before leaving to get parts. He was back quickly, and finished up all the tasks that we needed. I was very impressed that he was able to take on the extra tasks and not be upset by it. I think that the way they schedule their techs have something to do with that. I asked him if he needed to be somewhere after my appointment. He said he doesn't find out until he's completely done with the services that I need. That way he doesn't feel rushed and can do quality work with whatever job he is currently working on. This is genius! We will be using them again when we have them install a water heater. (Something else we discussed before he left, and he gave me a quote right away for that too!) Highly recommended by us!

I couldn't be happier with these guys. This is the 3rd time i have had them out to do various things. This time I had 3 faucets replaced which i supplied. The install had some challenges due to the previous owner and the do it yourself type of work that was done. Sam recognized those challenges and fixed all those mistakes and installed all 3 faucets properly and in a timely manner. He was friendly, informative and professional. I keep their number in my phone and they are the only ones i will ever call. Oh and let me just say that the gal who answers the phone does a fantastic job of getting all the info so they have all the needed supplies on the truck for the specific job at hand. She is friendly and does an amazing job with scheduling. She even gave me a courtesy call which is very much appreciated. Plumbing can be a very stressful thing but with these guys there is never a stressful moment. Top knotch service! If your shopping around, dont bother wasting your time. Just give them a call. Luke was life saving. Had water in the basement and Luke was able to get over within hours. Augured out my sewer line that had root build up. Extremely professional and cleaned up after himself. Very impressed with Gomach Plumbing.

Woke up to a call from the city that we had a water issue, discovered it was the water heater. Silica came out same day to replace the water heater, everyone was very friendly, and the technicians made sure we were good to go before they left. Was also cheaper than what we were expecting, and they explained the cost breakdown.

I noticed our water heater leaking on a Wednesday night, called Silica first thing Thursday morning, and had a new water heater installed within hours! Very happy with the work and the friendly staff.

The technician who came out was very nice, but overall this was a frustrating experience. I called specifically to have my dishwasher looked at and asked up front if they could fix dishwashers. I was told yes. When the technician arrived, he was only here for about 20 minutes before telling me that since the issue wasn’t plumbing-related, they couldn’t help. I understand that there is a charge for the visit, but I wish this had been explained more clearly ahead of time then I probably would have contacted someone else. When I was sent the bill, I was given incorrect contact information, which made it difficult to follow up. If you need a plumber, they may be fine, but I wish they had been upfront from the beginning that they don’t handle dishwasher repairs. That honesty would have saved me a couple hundred dollars.

I've had Ahern out twice. Once for installing a water filtration system. The guy did a great job. Then again today when I was woken up to water raining from my dining room ceiling. They got someone out within a couple hours since everyone was out at jobs at the time I called. The guys was great. Got everything taken care of and was very pleasant to work with. They are absolutely my go to plumbers!

We dealt with Mand Plumbing for the first time in December 2025/January 2026 when our water service lateral line was found to be leaking. From the time I called and talked to the Office Manager Nettie, who was EXTREMELY friendly and helpful in setting everything up, to Pat Mand who did the trenching and Sam who did the inside plumbing, everything was done in a timely and professional manner. I have used Jeremiah and his team for multiple projects at my house on Division st. From remodels, to service work these guys can handle it all. They are patient and willing to deal with the dumb questions and take the time to explain the purpose. They have done plumbing and boiler work and I will continue to use them again in the future. I’ve gotten 3 different plumbers and all 3 were great. If Mand plumbing touches it, you know it’s done right.
