AAA Sewer & Drain Service
1956 E Lake Rd Unit B Unit B, Erie, PA 16511, USA
(814) 434-4495I highly recommend this company! We had a basement drain backup on a Saturday of a holiday weekend with family in from out of town getting ready to go to dinner. Jerry came to our house in less than 30 minutes and got us taken care of very quickly. Not only was he very polite and understanding, he gave me a few tips on drains as well while he was here. This company goes above and beyond 100%, Five Star service for sure!
3 months agoI have used AAA Sewer & Drain many times and I am never disappointed. Always prompt, professional, friendly, and reasonably priced. This time they sent Brandon, who was top notch but it wasn't surprising because their guys always are. I highly recommend AAA.
2 months agoWe can’t Thank Jerry enough for coming down after hours to help the Fire Station for a clogged drain! Their quality, quick, and professional manner helped us resolve the issue very quickly! We highly recommend their services! Fairfield Hose Company VFD
1 month agoMr. Rooter Plumbing of Erie
3603 Edison Ave, Erie, PA 16510, USA
(814) 527-2531This is the best plumbing company I have ever used. Fast, efficient service. Definitely Reasonably priced. Brandon Higley was super nice, clean, polite and honest about the services and pricing before doing anything. I appreciate how much he explained and advised. He could not complete the service as it was a sewer issue that the landlord of my trailer park needs to take care of not an issue with my mobile home plumbing. He called my landlord with me and advised what the issue was so that he understood what was going on. I could not be happier with the professionalism and will definitely be calling Mr. Rooter for any plumbing needs in the future. And will ask for Brandon to be my technician. 😊
2 months agoWe had a great experience with Mr. Rooter Plumbing today. Brandon H. came out right away and took care of our main sewer line issue quickly. He was incredibly professional, polite, and clearly very knowledgeable about his craft. It’s a relief to have everything flowing again—highly recommend asking for Brandon!
2 months agoWe had a clogged kitchen drain that we couldn’t unclog with our standard snake. Travis came on a Sunday and did exactly what was needed. He was professional, explained everything, gave us tips for preventative maintenance and took time to clean up the best he could. Would recommend and happy for Travis to do work for us again.
2 months agoAAA Sewer Cleaning Services
2336 E 44th St, Erie, PA 16510, USA
(814) 434-4495Had backed up sewer in basement had other companies try to clean it out. No luck, said I had to dig. Decided to call AAA, Jerry came down with a bigger machine, got tree roots out. Drain open, I am happy. Highly recommend AAA, fast, efficient, thorough!!!!!!! Will call again!!!!!!
7 months agoWhen your water won't drain, call AAA sewer cleaning service! I was having problems and called after finding their number on Google Maps. Within a half an hour their technician Jr showed up. After listening to what was going on he went to work, starting with a small snake realizing he was going to have to step it up to the bigger one. He found blockage 18 ft out and got everything working again! I thank him and I would highly recommend this place!
2 years agoHad a drain back-up at a rental property. Called them first thing in the morning and they arrived in less than an hour. Did a great job. Fast and efficient, and very fairly priced. I’d definitely recommend AAA Sewer Service.
5 years agoJackson Plumbing Inc.
3419 Shannon Rd, Erie, PA 16510, USA
(814) 899-1849We had a clogged pipe that our kitchen and laundry drained into. Awesome experience dealing with them! They were able to get us on their schedule super quick with the holiday. Friendly and willing to explain what they were doing. Pricing was incredibly reasonable. We will definitely use them again in the future!
3 months agoJackson Plumbing is my new go to for any plumbing needs/services. Andres and JR replaced all of my water lines and drains and they could not have been better. Not only were they efficient and did a great job but they were very friendly as well. They communicated well during the entire process to let me know what they were doing. They didn’t cut corners and the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend them for any job. It’s great to have water pressure and fast drains. Thanks guys!
3 months agoNeeding an emergency service call because your water tank burst is not the best way to start the new year, but Jackson's is the best way to get it resolved. Special shout-out to J.R. who came out at 8:30 p.m. from Fairview to Erie to do the removal and install. J.R. was very pleasant and professional. Even working alone, he was able to drain and remove the old tank and install the new one in about 2 hours. He did an excellent job cleaning up too. I highly recommend Jackson Plumbing for their service as well as their pricing. (The quote I received from a different plumbing company was $800 more.)
2 months agoRapid Sewer & Plumbing
214 Park Wy, Erie, PA 16511, USA
(814) 873-3500Saved me $1,000 and fixed it in 20 minutes! "I cannot recommend Troy at Rapid Sewer and Plumbing highly enough. We originally had another plumber out who told us our floor drain was broken and quoted us $1,175 to fix it. We called Rapid Sewer for a second opinion, and I’m so glad we did. Troy showed up, cleaned the drain, and cleared the blockage through the floor drain in just 20 minutes. He only charged us $150, saving us over $1,000! From now on, we will only be using Rapid Sewer and Plumbing. If you want someone honest who knows what they’re doing, call Troy."
2 months agoHe is a lazy guy and ripped me off for 150. Did not even come into the house and snake the drain. Instead he only plunged for 5 minutes from outside trap. It lasted 3 days and he refused to come back out and help me. Next guy I called spent 4 hours snaking it and got it very clean. Troy is a hot head and too lazy to take his equipment downstairs what a waste of money. He does not give a crap whatsoever. Do not waste your money on this lazy non caring person. Just wow.
2 months agoTroy came out on a Sunday, which was incredibly convenient and accommodating. Troy's knowledge and expertise were immediately apparent. He took the time to explain everything in detail, ensuring I fully understood the situation and the options available. Beyond his professionalism, Troy's honesty stood out. It's rare to find someone so transparent and trustworthy. He didn't try to upsell unnecessary services and provided a clear and fair assessment. Overall, my experience with Troy was exceptional.
1 year agoSavings Sewer & Drain
955 E 28th St, Erie, PA 16504, USA
(814) 868-3061I had a great experience using this company for my plumbing issues. Jason came and got the small toy out of our first floor toilet, and looked at our garbage disposal that stopped working. He took care of the issues and even gave me some precautionary advice to keep things running smoothly. I was also very happy with the price for the work done. I'll definitely be using them again if needed. *Editing to add* I just had my second experience with this company and it was as quick and easy as the first time. Zack and Travis were able to come out just a couple hours after my call and they took care of my toilet, drain, and radiator leak. I cannot recommend this company enough. Quick, exceptional service at a fair price.
3 years agoJason and his coworker did an awesome job in our bathroom! Had roots in our toilet drain, the pipe needed replaced. Called him after another service couldn't get us in for weeks, he came the next day! Very reliable, always easy to reach and returns calls promptly. The pricing was good, and they worked efficiently!
7 years agoThese guys were great! They showed up quickly after I called them about my backed up laundry sink. They were very professional and courteous. They treated my home with respect and quickly decided how to attack the clog. They got my drains running clear and worked very neatly so that I had no mess to clean up afterwards. They were very reasonable in what they charged for their services. Thanks again Jason and Z!
7 years agoTJ's Plumbing & Heating of Erie
1406 E 28th St, Erie, PA 16504, USA
(814) 209-8203TJ's Plumbing came out to my rental home on Saltsman Rd for a clogged drain in the basement. They charged my tenant over $400 to attempt clearing the clog. No luck. They spent 2 hours. Then they attempted to sell me on a larger job of ripping up the concrete floor to replace the pipe ($1,500). My intuition led me to call another plumber to take a look. Mr. Rooter went out to the rental property today on Saltsman. He was able to clear it out in 10 minutes - no problem. I paid them a much smaller fee than my tenant paid TJ's the night before. I'm very disappointed in TJs. How can two plumbers, both working together, not figure out how to unplug the line while the other plumber from Mr. Rooters have no problem doing it? My tenant is going to call TJ's tomorrow and ask for a refund on the $400+ they soaked her for the night before. If they don't refund, she is going to submit to BBB and also add a review on here. I would have had my entire basement concrete floor jack hammered up for NOTHING! To anyone reading this -- make sure you get a second opinion. Not every plumber is made equal. Just like any other profession, you have to sanity check one another. Shop around! And don't take anyone's word at face value -- especially when you're an out of state landlord/property owner.
3 months agoShop around! Jeff was SO unprofessional. The wrong furnace was installed at my 88 year old sister's house. Jeff blamed the company that sent them the furnace claiming it wasn't his fault but their's!!! They did come the next day and put the right one in. It was cold though that night and my sister was afraid to put the temperature high because it was the WRONG furnace. Jeff, in all his compassion for her being cold, said that it was my sister's fault that she didn't call them and ask if she could bump the furnace up higher on the WRONG furnace. AGAIN, not accepting any blame but was quick to blame someone else. Not only VERY unprofessional but also not very compassionate that my 88 year old sister was cold at night!! There was another incident that occurred but the technicians took care of it, NOT a manager. Technicians were nice but because of management, I would NEVER ever recommend them to anyone. Go to a company that appreciates their customers. I would rate them lower than one star if possible!
2 months agoTheir staff & technicians highly professional and very helpful! I have been a happy customer with them for years. After a recent power outage, my furnace stopped working. I called them up and they were able to come quickly to diagnose & fix the problem with my furnace. I highly recommend them for all of your heating & cooling needs. Great company to work with!!!! Thanks TJ's!!!!
4 months agoGallagher Plumbing & HVAC, Inc.
824 E 9th St, Erie, PA 16503, USA
(814) 340-0178Excellent!!! Our basement flood twice. They cleared the first backup maybe ankle high. Tonight they came back and fixed the furnace and fixed our hot water heater after it was drained by the city; possibly will also have them put a back flow preventer in. They were so great. Amazing customer service. They were so friendly, sympathetic, and understanding. We love them!!
2 months agoVery professional and courteous company . I was very happy with how they were able to respond to my call and fix my sewer problem that same day. Brian and Chris were the A Team that day. They fixed what two other companies couldn’t figure out. Chris and Brian and Gallagher Plumbing are my new Plumber Guys.🥰
2 years agoI had a very good experience with Gallagher Plumbing. They arrived on-site the day before to recommend toilet choices and evaluated my shower system, arranging for and providing a Delta shower system. The following day, they brought a team, including the owner, installed the fixtures, and cleaned up in less than 2-½ hours. The shower consistently provides hot water after their work in the tub access. It is a responsive company that immediately followed up with minor concerns to adjust the showerhead and replace a failed overflow valve in the new tank. Reasonable prices were charged for material and labor, and I highly recommend their services.
1 month agoC. Carlin Plumbing Inc.
2420 E 38th St, Erie, PA 16510, USA
(814) 825-2805Fast work, but zero professionalism and a refusal to communicate. I hired C. Carlin to clear a kitchen clog. While the drain was snaked, the overall experience was a failure in customer service, safety protocol, and basic accountability. The Issues: Safety & Scheduling: I scheduled a 3:00 PM appointment and adjusted my entire workday to ensure I was home. I arrived at 2:55 PM, only to find the crew had already finished and left. They arrived early and entered my home while only my underage son was present. No courtesy call was made to indicate they were ahead of schedule, let alone to ask if it was okay to enter the home without an adult present. When I raised this concern, the office manager told me I should "take responsibility" for my son not announcing he was a minor. It is standard professional practice NOT to enter a home without an adult present. Preventative Care Denied: Because they finished and left before the scheduled time, I missed the opportunity to discuss my concerns regarding my main house trap. Given past basement flooding, I wanted to ensure kitchen debris didn't cause a secondary blockage. I would have gladly paid for an extra 10 minutes of work, but they were gone. My later request for them to return and "finish the job" with a proper consultation was denied. Hostile Customer Service: Every phone interaction was aggressive. The office manager used "being extremely busy" as an excuse for their lack of communication, yet they were flexible scheduling my appointment time when taking my $175. She was more interested in pushing an upsell for a $10/month subscription maintenance program than addressing the fact that her crew left a mess of water and debris on my floor (no shoe covers used). Lack of Leadership/Access: When I requested to speak with the owner to discuss these lapses, I was told quite abruptly, “Well, that’s never gonna happen! We don’t do that here!” This interaction made it clear that despite the family name, the business is no longer operated with a "family-owned" level of accountability. Customers are shielded from leadership, and valid concerns are met with denial rather than solutions. The Bottom Line: They are efficient at a 10-minute "quick fix," but they charge premium prices ($175) for the bare minimum. If you want a company that respects your schedule, your home, and basic safety boundaries, look elsewhere.
1 month agoJayson came and knew the problem with our high efficiency heating system within minutes from when he walked in. He removed his shows and we told him not necessary. Very knowledgeable and pleasant. and a real gentleman, He took his time and wasn't in a hurry to rush out even though it was late. He addressed the issue and then did a good once-over on the system and recommended a gasket kit that he thought may be covered by the warranty. A truly great experience and when asked about his time with the company, we couldn't believe it was his first day working for them. An real asset to your company!!!!
2 months agoChuck did an excellent job installing a pressure reducing valve with all of the hardware required to function. Super quick work and great looking install. Thank you.
4 months agoMiller Sewer & Drain Cleaning LLC
2416 Station Rd, Erie, PA 16510, USA
(814) 899-7347Once again, problem drain and Miller's responded quickly and professionally. Really appreciate the technical advice for keeping everything draining properly. Very personable and a quick turnaround in service. If you want a seasoned professional to help with drain problems, don't hesitate to call Miller's. I've been using them since the ,1980s.
3 months agoThe gentleman who came to service my floor drain was friendly and competent. He explained that my pipe was corroded and suggested tips for preventing future backups. He took extra time to unclog the drain and made sure everything was in order before leaving. He even provided a replacement cover as mine was broken. Great service.
3 months agoCrew did a great job at clearing tree roots from my sanitary sewer. I would highly recommend them. Very reasonably priced and came out the day I called.
4 months agoProfessional Drain Cleaning in Erie
Erie residents know that a clogged drain is more than just a minor inconvenience; it can disrupt your entire household in a city known for its historic lakeside charm and unpredictable weather. Whether you are dealing with a backed-up sink in a classic downtown home or a major sewer line issue near the bayfront, finding a reliable plumber shouldn't be a game of phone tag. Our service changes the way Erie homeowners find help. Instead of you calling down a list of local companies only to find they are booked through the week, we do the legwork for you. We scan our network of certified Erie plumbers, filter them by your specific zip code, and personally call them to verify they have a technician available to solve your drain issue today. We ensure they are ready for your job before you even pick up the phone.
Common Drain Issues in Erie
Lake Effect Freeze and Thaw: Erie's intense winters and heavy snowfall lead to extreme ground shifting and pipe expansion. As the ground thaws, old pipes can crack or shift, leading to sudden backups and slow-draining lines that require professional snake or hydro-jetting services.
Historic Piping in Older Neighborhoods: Many Erie homes, particularly those built in the early 20th century, still utilize cast iron or even clay pipes. These materials are highly susceptible to interior scaling and tree root intrusion, which catch debris and cause recurring clogs.
Hard Water Mineral Buildup: The water profile in Northwest Pennsylvania can lead to significant mineral deposits inside your plumbing. Over time, calcium and magnesium build up on pipe walls, narrowing the passage and making it easier for soap scum and hair to create a total blockage.
Presque Isle Sand and Silt: For homes near the lakefront or those who spend their summers at Presque Isle, sand often finds its way into shower drains and basement floor drains. Sand is heavy and does not flush easily, often settling in p-traps and requiring professional extraction to restore flow.
Seasonal Drain Maintenance Tips for Erie
Winter Pipe Protection: Before the first major Lake Erie snowstorm, ensure your outdoor spigots are drained and covered. If your kitchen sink is on an exterior wall, keep the cabinet doors open during sub-zero nights to prevent the drain line from freezing.
Spring Sump Pump Check: With Erie's heavy spring rains and snowmelt, your basement floor drains and sump pump will be working overtime. Test them early in the season to ensure they are clear of debris and ready for the increased volume.
Fall Leaf Debris Removal: As the leaves drop, ensure your perimeter drains and gutters are clear. Clogged exterior drainage can lead to water pooling against your foundation, which often finds its way into basement drains during a heavy autumn downpour.
Post-Summer Drain Flush: After a busy summer of hosting and outdoor activities, give your kitchen disposal and bathroom drains a professional cleaning to remove the organic buildup that can harden during the colder, drier months.
Average Drain Cleaning Costs in Erie
Pricing in Erie typically depends on the access point (clean-out vs. pulling a toilet) and the severity of the blockage. Basic snaking for a single sink is on the lower end, while main sewer line clearing or hydro-jetting represents the higher end of the scale.
Frequently Asked Questions about Drain Cleaning in Erie
How quickly can I get a plumber to my Erie home?
Because we call and verify current availability in your specific Erie zip code, we can often find a technician who can arrive the same day, even during the busy winter months when local demand is high.
Do you service neighborhoods outside of downtown Erie, like Millcreek or Harborcreek?
Yes. Our network covers the entire Erie metro area, including Millcreek, Harborcreek, Fairview, and Summit Township. We filter specifically by your zip code to find the closest available professional.
Are Erie plumbers equipped to handle roots in clay pipes?
Absolutely. Many of the plumbers in our Erie network specialize in the unique needs of older PA homes, utilizing specialized augers and camera inspections to clear roots from historic clay or cast iron lines.
Can I get emergency drain cleaning on the weekend in Erie?
Yes. We verify 24-hour availability within our network. If you have a backup on a Saturday night during a blizzard, we will call around to find the Erie plumber who is actually out on calls and ready to help.
Why shouldn't I just use chemical cleaners on my Erie home's clogs?
In many older Erie homes, chemical cleaners can actually accelerate the corrosion of metal pipes. A professional cleaning is much safer for the long-term health of your plumbing and effectively removes the entire clog rather than just burning a small hole through it.
