Top Rated Plumbers in Rio Rancho, New Mexico
First Rate Plumbing Heating and Cooling Inc
4311 Sara Rd #212, Rio Rancho, NM 87124, USA
(505) 273-8590I called first thing in the AM and scheduled an appointment for same day service. Enrique showed up in 1 hour. He was professional, patient, experienced, knowledgeable, and all around AMAZING. He answered every question and provided valuable insight into why my drains were clogged. I can’t thank First Rate Plumbing, Heating, & Cooling and Enrique enough for their quick response and their dedication to customer service. You are all so awesome. Thank you, Enrique!!!!! You guys are the BEST!
3 months agoThe main drain line to street clogged. Nothing draining in house. Enrique & Valentino were able to "snake" it out. Then made sure everything was draining properly. They were extremely nice, knowledgeable, and offered advice for a camera inspection as this continues to happen. The company also sends text of what tech is coming with picture & some info on tech. Great experience! Highly recommend company. The price was reasonable .
3 months agoSebastian and John were both very professional and also responsive to my concerns and wishes. They accommodated me whenever possible. I trust their workmanship. And they are just good people. They do great work and they looked out for my cats! I always use First Rate Plumbing for my plumbing and heating/ cooling needs. Shirley, who works in the office, is the sweetest and most helpful person and works hard to schedule the services I need. And, last but not least, Ron, the owner, is terrific. First Rate is an appropriate name for this company and the employees who work for it.
2 months agoZoom Drain
6616 Gulton Ct NE Suite 50, Albuquerque, NM 87109, USA
(505) 531-5100Ismael was great, very professional and knowledgeable. Thank you for getting my drain back in working order. I will definitely be recommending them to all my colleagues and clients.
2 months agoZoom Drain saved the day. I woke up this morning to sewage backing up in my toilet and was on the verge of tears. We were just getting ready to move out of our house. Michael at Zoom Drain assured me they’d have someone out there right away. Within an hour and a half, Trevyn came to assess the situation and cleared the blockage in no time. The price was very reasonable! Later the same day, our toilet started to back up again, so the blockage wasn’t 100% cleared. I called Michael back and he immediately sent Ismael out, arriving in less than 45 min. He fixed it right up with the hydro-jet and didn’t even charge me. My toilets are working great again. I couldn’t be more impressed. I’d highly recommend them for any plumbing needs!
7 months agoI found Zoom Drain after 2 other companies were unsuccessful in clearing a clog in my sewer main line. The other companies said I would need to replace my sewer line to the street and undergo a major excavation project that would cost thousands of dollars. Also a few other companies couldn't get me on the schedule for multiple days. When i called Zoom I immediately could tell the employee on the phone was knowledgeable and he was able to get me on the schedule that day! When Ismael Davis arrived he immediately got to work assessing the situation and provided options including hydrojetting which was the first I had heard about this option. After hydrojetting the line twice and confirming the line was clear with the camera Ismael had my line to the sewer completely clear! Also he went into the crawl space and confirmed my pipe was cast iron and was in good shape and not in need of a full line replacement. Thank you Zoom and Ismael both are highly recommended!
5 months agoDay & Night Plumbing
2100 Aztec Rd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87107, USA
(505) 974-5797Arrived within time scheduled. Jeff was great, did a thorough check to make sure clogged pipe was cleaned out. Then ran through systems to ensure everything drained properly.
2 months agoHad a 2500 Gallon cistern tank and pump installed at my house and these guys did an amazing job. Angel, Donovan, Jacob, and Alex did an outstanding job. I would highly recommend this company for all your plumbing or HVAC needs.
6 months agoFast, easy, and less expensive than the competition. Their customer service was great. Roto rooter wanted 500 - 700 dollars and schedule a future date for my complaint. Day and Night said they'd be there in an hour. Mike the technician called me with updates when he was en route and when we could expect him. Not only did Mike come out same day, we solved the issue, and while I had him there, he helped me install a spigot for an added fee, obviously but was inexpensive. Which was fine by me. Mike gave sound advice and the bill was reasonable, Im in the east mountains so there is a travel fee, which is to be expected. This is how you gain future customers. I will be calling again when I have a plumbing problem.

9 months agoPoor customer service !!!!! Disappointed again by action plumbing they've come out on two different occasions The first time I showed up after a week waiting for them they showed up with broken equipment the right hand don't know what the left hand is doing very indecisive and don't believe the hype about the drain clearing for 29 or 49 That's just to give me a come on The owner Addison is extremely rude I would never ever recommend anybody going to this individual for any type of repair not unless you want to be insulted I'm disabled man there's been waiting over 10 days for them to come through they said that they arrived I'm a residence knocking and banging which is lie I'm disabled I'm not deaf they really didn't want to proceed with any type ofRepair and I'm going to be sure to report them to disabled American society they left me without water running water plumbing or any of that facility with no excuse for 10 days and then they yelled at me and my son
6 months agoI can't recommend this plumber enough! I needed my toilet replaced like yesterday but Addison came out today (same day) and installed a new perfectly working toilet for like $400 less than what tlc quoted me. Excellent job!
9 months agoNumber One Plumbing, A/C, Solar & Electric
525 Candelaria Rd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87107, USA
(505) 999-9567Called number 1 over for a free estimate on a clogged sink that was beyond my scope. Nathan was quick with the estimate and able to clear the clog on the spot. He was nice, knowledgeable, thorough, quick, and cleaned up well. Service was a little pricey, but it was last minute, and such is the state of things. 10/10 recommend.
2 months agoMy experience with this plumbing company was extremely disappointing and stressful. I hired them to install a water softener system, and the entire process was handled poorly from start to finish. After the initial installation, I noticed a small leak that quickly turned into a larger one, leaving me with a water cleanup and a growing sense of urgency. I contacted the plumber directly, but he didn’t seem concerned about my emergency. I then called the company’s 24-hour line to have someone come out and fix the issue. Because of the delay in getting an emergency plumber to my home, I ended up missing a scheduled flight. The company later scheduled another plumber to reinstall the system correctly. However, he arrived nearly two hours late, which caused me to miss an important appointment I had planned that day. After that second installation, I began having water pressure issues that required another visit from the same company to make additional adjustments. I spoke with the manager about everything — the leaks, cleanup, missed flight, missed appointment, and all the added stress. He told me he would speak with the owner about reducing my cost to offset my losses, but weeks have passed and I still haven’t received any follow-up or resolution. This company has shown a serious lack of professionalism, reliability, and accountability. Between the poor communication, repeated issues, and total disregard for the inconvenience and expense they caused, I would not recommend them to anyone.
7 months agoDon’t get ripped off like I did! This company has zero integrity. They charged us $45k to replace our HVAC system and recommended a product that doesn’t meet our #1 need (which we explicitly laid out for them in all of our interactions leading up to the install). When we asked them to come back and make it work correctly they said they’d be happy to - for an additional $7500. What?? And when I asked for the owner to follow up and stand behind his work, he ghosted me. That’s the kind of company this is. I had another AC company out who let me know that Number One could easily have chosen a system with remote sensing capabilities, and we’d have been fine. But they didn’t, which means that either they are incompetent or don’t care about their customers, or both. Either way, this is not a company you should work with. Their own Service Tech told me that he pushed back on the owner and told him that this was the wrong system for us, but the owner told him to keep quiet and just get the thing installed. Infuriating - now we are stuck with this hunk of junk for years and it doesn’t even heat or cool the house properly.

Great service from top to bottom. Would highly recommend and will let anyone who asks about a plumber know that Mr rooter is the way to go!

(505) 761-9644We have had the professionals at TLC install a sub-panel, 2 EV chargers, a hybrid hot water heater, circuits for an induction cooktop and water well pump, upgrade a substandard exterior circuit, 2 replacement heat pumps and pumping out of our septic tank. Prices are great and the service is excellent.
2 months agoI’ve used TLC Plumbing for years and they are always great! The service technicians are professional and get the job done right. Our water heater was leaking and needed to be replaced. Fortunately they were able to get someone out the same day. Joe was very knowledgeable and explained everything that needed to be done. I appreciate how clean he worked and explained how our new water heater works. Great job Joe!!!
3 months agoWe had tree roots growing under the floor affecting 2 toilets. After a camera showed extensive damage, Zach explained in detail what the repair would entail. The floor was jack hammered and the pipes were repaired in 2 days. A solution was found so they did not have to rip up the floor in the other bathroom. Jesus , Zach and a few more team members did a fantastic job. They removed tiles along a grout line and poured a concrete subfloor in such a way that replacing new tiles was fairly easy. Communication was excellent throughout the job. Thank you guys!

Patrick is an excepcional professional and he explained everything, did a great job on the install, and then followed up to ensure everything was working properly. Folks in the office were also friendly and good to work with. Overs we are very happy with the service we got.
3 months agoPhil came to my house today to do the seasonal maintenance of our heating system. He was very respectful, asked me if we were having any issues and addressed my concerns with clear explainations. After he did his thing he showed me a few things that could have further maintenance or be replaced. The company has created some money-saving bundles for common maintenance needs that are also very helpful. He was not pushy about agreeing to those fixes immediately and was happy for me to discuss them with my husband before deciding. This was a great experience overall. I would recommend first rate to others.
5 months agoRoto-Rooter Plumbers
731 Rankin Rd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87107, USA
(505) 944-7244The service tech arrived quick and completed the task (clear sewer back) quickly. Which was good, because we were leaving NM that day.
3 months agoI’ve been using these guys for about four years, and they are hands-down a five-star company. They usually get me scheduled the same day, and everyone—from the front office to the technicians—is professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. The work is always done fast and done right. I recently met the owner, and it makes complete sense why this company is so well run. Highly recommend!
4 months agoSam and Santiago from Roto-Rooter of Albuquerque did an EXCELLENT job for me! They arrived at my home EARLY, and were locating my broken water line. I was quoted a price, and after I agreed they started immediately. They had the repair done EXPEDITIOUSLY!
3 months agoProfessional Drain Cleaning in Rio Rancho, New Mexico
Navigating the plumbing needs of the 'City of Vision' requires more than just a quick search. With Rio Rancho’s unique high-desert landscape and rapidly growing neighborhoods, finding a plumber who is actually available when you have a drainage emergency can be a challenge. Instead of wasting time calling list after list of providers, we streamline the process by doing the preliminary work for you.
Our service specializes in connecting Rio Rancho residents with certified drain experts who are ready to work right now. Whether you are near the Intel plant or up in Enchanted Hills, we filter our network by your specific zip code and call the plumbers ourselves to ensure they can solve your issue today. This localized approach saves you the frustration of 'no-shows' and ensures your home’s plumbing is back in order without the typical wait times.
Common Drain Issues in Rio Rancho, New Mexico
Rio Rancho's water is notoriously hard, containing high levels of calcium and magnesium. This leads to significant mineral scale buildup inside your pipes, which narrows the flow over time and makes your drains much more susceptible to stubborn clogs that retail chemicals simply cannot dissolve.
The sandy soil conditions in Sandoval County often lead to 'pipe settling.' As the ground shifts under our semi-arid climate, older sewer lines can develop bellies or offsets. These low spots collect debris and grease, leading to recurring backups that require professional diagnostic equipment to identify and clear.
Even with xeriscaping, the roots of desert-hardy plants and trees are incredibly aggressive in their search for moisture. It is common for Rio Rancho homeowners to experience root intrusion in their main sewer lines, where tiny roots enter pipe joints and create a thick 'mat' that traps waste and causes total system stoppages.
During our intense New Mexico windstorms, sand and fine silt are frequently blown into outdoor drainage systems and area drains. If not cleared regularly, this sediment can combine with kitchen grease or soap scum to create a concrete-like blockage that requires high-pressure hydro-jetting to remove safely.
Seasonal Drain Maintenance Tips for Rio Rancho, New Mexico
Summer Monsoon Prep: Before the heavy rains arrive in July, ensure your outdoor area drains and yard grates are clear of sand and tumbleweed debris to prevent localized flooding around your foundation.
Winter Pipe Care: High-desert winters can see temperatures plummet overnight. Ensure your pipes are well-insulated, as colder water temperatures can cause fats and oils to solidify much faster inside your kitchen drains.
Spring Flush: After a dry winter, it is wise to have your drains professionally flushed to remove the accumulated mineral scale that hardened during the months of lower water usage.
Fall Vegetation Maintenance: Clear away any dead roots or encroaching desert brush from near your home’s cleanout access points to prevent root systems from seeking out the condensation on your pipes during the dry autumn months.
Average Drain Cleaning Costs in Rio Rancho, New Mexico
Pricing for Rio Rancho drain cleaning varies based on the location of the clog and the technology used. Simple snaking usually starts on the lower end, while advanced hydro-jetting or main line clearing with camera inspections typically falls on the higher end.
Frequently Asked Questions about Drain Cleaning in Rio Rancho, New Mexico
How do you ensure the plumber is actually available in Rio Rancho today?
We don't just give you a list; we call the certified plumbers in our Rio Rancho network for you. We confirm their current schedule and ensure they can service your specific zip code before we provide you with their information.
Does the hard water in Rio Rancho affect how often I need drain cleaning?
Yes, Rio Rancho has some of the hardest water in New Mexico. Mineral deposits (scale) build up faster here than in other regions, meaning many local homeowners benefit from a professional descaling or cleaning every 18–24 months.
Can you find a plumber for an emergency in Enchanted Hills or Mariposa?
Absolutely. Our zip code filtering ensures we find technicians who specifically service the northern and outer reaches of Rio Rancho, not just those located in the city center or Albuquerque.
Are the plumbers in your network licensed for New Mexico?
Yes, we only work with certified plumbing professionals who are fully licensed and insured to perform residential and commercial drain cleaning within the state of New Mexico.
Why shouldn't I just use a bottle of drain cleaner from the store?
In Rio Rancho's climate, chemical cleaners often react poorly with heavy mineral buildup and can actually damage older pipes or create toxic fumes. A professional cleaning is safer for your plumbing and provides a long-term solution rather than a temporary fix.
