Lopez plumbing LLC
3701 Charles Reese Cir, Clovis, NM 88101, USA
(575) 693-3451They came out and unclogged my sewer line multiple times these past few years. When the line finally gave out, they were quick to get out to my house, dig the old line up and replace the sewer and water line in a day and at a really good price. Diego is honest, straightforward and will take care of your issue quickly. Honestly couldn’t have asked for a better plumber !
4 months agoAmazing company!! The service is excellent. They are reliable, knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. Everything is explained before starting the job. Prices are more than reasonable! Job was completed in a timely manner and the cleanup was quick. I highly recommend Lopez Plumbing!!
3 months agoThese guys really take care of their clients, I called today to hopefully get an appointment tomorrow which Diego was more than happy to help. At 4:30 today he called me back and said he finished another job earlier than expected and he could come today if we were available. He was at our house within minutes and cleared the issue quickly. We are very happy with the service we received today and will continue to use Lopez plumbing from now on.
6 months agoReliable Plumbing & Drain
1903 Raintree Blvd, Clovis, NM 88101, USA
(575) 762-2900I called reliable and I ask the technician if he could do a job for emergency after hours. I explained to him that we had a toilet clogged and it was effecting other toilets. He stated "I DONT HAVE TIME FOR THAT" Reliable just missed out on a BIG commercial opportunity property that we are seeking a plumbing company to do business with.
7 years agoI hired them to unclog a drain and had to call them back because it wasn't done right then they got rude and said they were going to charge me for another hour of work when the guy came he fixed it and left without saying a word I called them to help connect a stove and they refused to answer my calls. About a month later my in-laws hired them to do some work and they did half the job and haven't gone back to finish! Its been a week and they won't answer their calls or messages so I called and they hung up on me and when I called right back they wouldnt answer so that's the last time our family deals with them and I wouldn't recommend using them at all they have no people skills.
9 years agoReliable Plumbing provided great service and was a quick process. Called other places in town and Reliable Plumbing was the most affordable. We called get a quote and got our water heater situation fixed the next day. Very understanding and was very flexible with our situation.
5 years agoPeralez Plumbing & Heating
2016 E Howard St, Clovis, NM 88101, USA
(575) 763-4746When I used my bathroom (shower, toilet, or sink), the other other bathroom would have issues. The tub would back up with something coming up the drain. The toilet would leak from the base. Eww!! Peralez Plumbing came out and quickly diagnosed the problem. My line was backed up. They cleaned it out super quick and everything works how it was intended to! Thank you!!!
4 years agoGreat group of guys. They effectively repaired my sewer line, tub faucet, and toilet. Super honest and affordable. I honestly felt like I got my money's worth. They were very responsive to a follow-up issue, and eased all of my concerns. Will be using again, just hopefully not in the too near future.
8 years agoIf I could give less than one star I would. They came to repair gas leaks to a house I’m purchasing. Wouldn’t give me an estimate at all of how much it would be. Home inspector said half the work they completed isn’t even done correctly. Then the owner calls Friday afternoon and tells me the total (which was outrageous). Calls me again Monday morning and starts saying if he doesn’t receive his money in a few hours he’s going to “have to do something or else”. Completely unprofessional and EXTREMELY rude, basically harassed me all day Monday when I told him I would drop the check off after work. The owner is EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional, doesn’t even do any of the work, and his company doesn’t complete the work right. This was a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE experience. Do not use this company if you want the work completed right.
4 years agoMark Carpenter Plumbing, Heating & Air
421 Sycamore St, Clovis, NM 88101, USA
(575) 222-2551I have had nothing but excellent service from Mark Carpenter’s. New sewer line, new HVAC system and continued service. Every tech I’ve had here to work on these issues have all been, nice, courteous and knowledgeable. I recommend them to anyone who asks who we use.
4 months agoUPDATE: Mark Carpenter responded to this review stating that their quote of $13,000 was “correct” because they needed to route new in/out water lines from the backyard, cut into the interior wall, insulate and route the lines in the attic, and then down into my garage. This is exactly what the alternative plumber did, and they charged me $4,000. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I recently contacted Mark Carpenter Plumbing for an estimate to install a water softener. They were responsive and professional when scheduling and during the initial visit, which I appreciated. However, I was surprised to learn they wanted to charge me $60 simply to provide a quote. I found this completely unreasonable and the technician immediately withdrew the charge. More concerning was the pricing itself. I was quoted $13,000 for the water softener installation alone. I obtained two additional quotes from other licensed plumbers in Clovis, both of which came in around $4,000 for comparable equipment and scope of work. A price difference of that magnitude raises serious questions. I ultimately paid $4,000 for a separate plumbing company to install the water softener. I emailed Mark Carpenter twice requesting clarification on how their estimate was three times higher than multiple competitors. They’ve ignored me. I found their lack of follow up or willingness to explain their pricing disappointing and unprofessional. Based on the extreme pricing discrepancy and absence of communication, I cannot recommend Mark Carpenter. I would strongly encourage anyone considering them to obtain multiple quotes before committing, as the pricing I was presented with was far beyond what appears to be reasonable for this market.
3 months agoI needed my water heater replaced on fairly short notice and Mark Carpenter was the only company I called that was able to help on the timeline I had. Poncho and Josh were able bring everything up to code and have everything done in 3-4 hours. Great work at a good price for everything they had to do. I'll be using this company again for sure.

6 months agoExceptional service. We called and had our garbage disposal replaced within 1 hour of our call. Customer service was excellent and the gentlemen who fixed our disposal were knowledgeable and professional. I will call them again if I ever have plumbing issues. Thanks for the excellent service to the whole team. Second job they did for us was also exceptional, as it always seems to happen 2 days after the garage disposal was completed the hot water heater went out Once again within just a matter of hours everything was replaced and working properly. I can’t say enough about the professional service this company provides. Thank you all again for helping us with our issues and thank you for your professionalism.

We focus on speed, verification, and local expertise so you can get back to your day without the stress of a backed-up sink or overflowing toilet.
Common Drain Issues in Clovis, New Mexico
Hard water is a significant factor for Clovis residents. The high mineral content in the local New Mexico water supply leads to rapid scale buildup inside pipes, which catches hair and soap scum, creating stubborn clogs that retail cleaners can't dissolve.
Our regional climate and high winds often lead to an accumulation of fine New Mexico silt and dust in outdoor area drains and patio outlets. During the occasional heavy High Plains downpour, these obstructed drains can lead to localized flooding around your foundation if not professionally cleared.
Root intrusion is a common struggle in older Clovis neighborhoods. As local trees like Siberian Elms search for moisture in our semi-arid environment, they often find their way into small cracks in sewer lines, leading to recurring main line backups that require professional hydro-jetting or snaking.
In the areas surrounding Cannon Air Force Base, many newer homes utilize modern plumbing configurations that can be sensitive to chemical drain openers. We ensure the plumbers we verify use professional-grade equipment that clears the blockage without damaging your PVC or PEX piping systems.
Seasonal Drain Maintenance Tips for Clovis, New Mexico
Before the first freeze hits the High Plains in late autumn, ensure all outdoor spigots are disconnected and external drains are clear of leaves to prevent ice dams that can crack your pipes.
During our windy spring season, regularly check your outdoor basement stairwell drains or driveway drains for tumbleweed fragments and blowing silt that can quickly choke your drainage system.
In the heat of a Clovis summer, avoid putting fibrous local produce like corn husks or rinds down the garbage disposal, as the heat can cause organic matter to expand and harden in your pipes.
Early winter is the best time to have your main sewer line inspected, especially if you have large trees on your property, as roots are less active and the ground hasn't yet reached its deepest frost level.
Average Drain Cleaning Costs in Clovis, New Mexico
Standard drain cleaning in Clovis typically ranges from $145 for simple clogs to $385 for main line issues. Factors affecting cost include the location of the clog, the need for camera inspections, and emergency after-hours dispatch fees.
Frequently Asked Questions about Drain Cleaning in Clovis, New Mexico
How quickly can I get a plumber to my home in Clovis?
Because we verify availability in real-time within your specific Clovis zip code, we often find pros who can arrive within a few hours. We confirm they are ready to work before you even talk to them.
Does hard water in New Mexico affect how often I need drain cleaning?
Yes, Clovis's hard water causes mineral scaling. We recommend a professional cleaning every 18-24 months to prevent this scale from catching debris and causing total blockages.
Are your verified plumbers familiar with the older homes in central Clovis?
Absolutely. Our network includes technicians experienced with the clay and cast-iron pipes often found in older Curry County homes, ensuring they use the right tools for delicate older systems.
Do you offer emergency 24-hour drain services near Cannon AFB?
Yes, our verification service operates 24/7. We specifically filter for plumbers who offer emergency response to the base housing and surrounding areas in Clovis.
Why shouldn't I just use a liquid drain cleaner from a local hardware store?
In Clovis, many clogs are caused by mineral scale or roots. Chemical cleaners are often too weak for these issues and can actually sit in your pipes, causing corrosion and heat damage to your plumbing.
