I had a stopped up commode. I called Roto-rooter and they responded quickly. Davy came out and cleared the septic line. He was friendly and fixed the problem. My commode is working fine now and I am pleased with the services provided to me by Roto-rooter. The lady who took my order was also friendly and proficient. It's good to know that there is a knowledgeable and skilled plumbing company that can solve my plumbing problems quickly with just a call. Sincerely, James Curtis

DrainGo was dispatched by my warranty provider to repair a failed water heater. Instead of diagnosing or addressing the actual issue, the technician immediately pushed a complete overhaul of my setup—removing my dual water heaters and installing a single tankless unit. They tried the exact same upsell two years ago when the other heater failed, and once again the “solution” came with an extra $1,541 out of my pocket, the same price they quoted back then. I ended up paying $100 for a service call that lasted barely three minutes. No troubleshooting, no repair—just a few photos taken and a promise that someone would follow up. This kind of behavior is exactly why companies get a bad reputation. They show up to sell, not to perform the work they were sent for, and they still collect an easy $100 for doing virtually nothing.

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!! We only used them because that is who American Home Sheild sent out. However, I was told by other plumbers to be aware of them. We had a tub draining slow, but the main concern was the drain to the washer draining slow. Well, the technician came out and told my mom that he can unstop her washer and tub and the price was $693.00. However, he left and told my mom that everything was good to go, and everything is flowing just fine. She tried to be washed and discovered nothing has been fixed. We called the next day and was told the charges were valid because the drain was attempted to be cleared. He never communicated that to my mom. I asked for a partial refund of $450.00 because what sense it makes to pay for a drain to be cleared and we can't even wash. They eventually offered me a credit only if I had preventable measures performed that would cost $3700.00. The fact that you all tried to offer a credit suggest that you all know it wasn't the best experience, but to leave someone in distress and not being able to wash their clothes before the ice storm and the only option that you all have is pay $900+ dollars with no negotiation. It's an older house and yes it needs modifications but to say that you all need all that money to get the issue fixed is insane. You all just want to force people to give you all money. We had a local licensed plumber come out and clear the drain with no issues and said that you all could have did the same. I would not recommend and we have told AHS that next time we need plumbing to not send yall out! The person that answers the phone was sweet; I would give her 5 stars because she tried to help after listening to our concerns.

It has taken me some time to write this review because I wanted to get my wits about me and have a clear mind. My issue began on January 2, 2025 when my husband noticed that we had a sewage leak. We called Roto-Rooter to fix the issue. The guys came out to assess the leak, gave us a price and work was set to begin the following Monday. One of the guys was new and the other 2 were on light duty. During the repair, my main water line was broken. The guys supposedly repaired it when they repaired the sewer line, free of charge. My yard was completely destroyed, but I was promised that someone would be out as soon as the rain stopped to put down soil, seed, and hay. In February, we received an alert from the city that we had another water leak. I checked the front yard where the previous repair was made and it was very evident that there was another leak. Called Roto-Rooter back. They sent out the guys who were previously on light duty because the “new guy” was no longer with the company. The guys repaired the line and made the statement that the other guy should have never been allowed to complete the initial repair, but the company was short staffed and had no other choice. The leak was fixed. It was found that the connectors had been put on too tight and caused a split in the pipe. Nothing could be done to my yard at the time because of the amount of rain we were getting during that time. In March, the same guys came back out to “fix” my yard. In April, I received ANOTHER leak alert from the city. Went to check the area again, and there was yet another leak. At this time, I called in a different company to repair the leak. This time the pipe was bent at an angle and the pressure caused a slow leak. I called Roto Rooter to file a complaint, I was asked if I would like one of their technicians to come back out to assess. However, NONE of the previous technicians worked for them anymore. Let me also add that I was initially told that my line was too deep to be hand dug and so I incurred an extra charge for the use of the heavy machinery. The second company was able to dig the line up by hand/shovels. I am very displeased in the level of work and service I received. I will not use them again. Oh and my front yard is still an eyesore. Yet another cost we have incurred due to Roto Rooters incompetence and lack of care.

I cannot say enough about Shaun. He installed a water filtration system today. Instead of leaving the faucet lying down until I can get someone to cut my marble, he made a wooden holder for it! He also looked at 2 other things in our house. He was so kind and professional! I highly recommend! Thank you MPS

In my Pearl house, a pipe burst late one evening, necessitating fast emergency plumbing. The staff was prompt in their arrival, identified the issue, and effectively resolved it. They maintained the area tidy, were professional, and gave me an explanation of the problem's root cause so I could prevent it in the future. Having trustworthy assistance when I needed it most was a big relief.

Professional Drain Cleaning in Jackson

When a kitchen sink backs up or a basement floor drain overflows in Jackson, you don't have time to call a dozen plumbers only to hear they are booked until next week. As a busy hub in south-central Michigan, Jackson's local service providers stay in high demand. Our unique service changes the game for residents by doing the legwork for you. We maintain a robust network of the most reliable certified plumbers across Jackson and its surrounding townships. Instead of you wasting time on hold or leaving voicemails, we automatically filter our partners by your specific Jackson zip code. Once we find a match, we personally call the plumber to confirm they have a technician available to handle your specific drain emergency right now. Whether you are located near the historic Cascades or closer to the Blackman area, we ensure your drainage issues are handled by a professional who is actually ready to work today.

Common Drain Issues in Jackson

Historic Pipe Deterioration: Many of Jackson's established neighborhoods feature older clay or cast-iron pipes. Over decades, these pipes can shift, crack, or develop rough interior surfaces that catch debris, leading to frequent and stubborn clogs that require professional clearing to prevent total failure.

Hard Water Mineral Buildup: Jackson's local water sources often contain minerals that lead to scale buildup inside your plumbing. This calcification narrows the diameter of your pipes over time, making it significantly easier for soap scum and hair to create total blockages in your bathroom and laundry drains.

Aggressive Tree Root Intrusion: With Jackson’s beautiful, mature tree canopy, many residential sewer lines are at high risk. Tree roots are naturally drawn to the moisture in sewer pipes, often infiltrating small cracks and growing into massive obstructions that can cause whole-house backups during the spring and summer months.

Basement Floor Drain Backups: Given Michigan's geography, many Jackson homes have basements that rely on floor drains. When these aren't maintained or become clogged with sediment and household debris, they can back up during heavy rain or when appliances discharge, potentially damaging finished spaces.

Seasonal Drain Maintenance Tips for Jackson

Spring Thaw Inspection: As the Jackson ground thaws and shifts in March and April, check your basement floor drains for slow drainage, which could indicate a pipe shift or root intrusion that occurred during the winter.

Fall Leaf Management: Before the first Michigan snow, ensure outdoor drains and gutters are clear of fallen leaves. Debris can wash into your perimeter drains and cause basement flooding during late autumn rainstorms.

Winter Pipe Protection: In freezing January temperatures, keep your indoor drains flowing by ensuring your home's heat reaches pipes located near exterior walls, preventing ice-related blockages that can mimic a standard clog.

Summer Storm Prep: Jackson often experiences heavy summer thunderstorms. Periodically test your sump pump and ensure the discharge line is clear to prevent heavy rains from overwhelming your home's drainage system.

Average Drain Cleaning Costs in Jackson

$145-$450

Pricing for drain cleaning in Jackson typically varies based on the severity of the clog, the location of the drain (main line vs. secondary sink), and whether specialized equipment like hydro-jetting or camera inspections are required.

Frequently Asked Questions about Drain Cleaning in Jackson

How fast can I get a plumber in Jackson for a clogged drain?

Because we call and verify availability before you book, we typically find a professional who can arrive at your Jackson home the same day, often within just a few hours of your request.

Do you cover all zip codes in the Jackson area?

Yes, we scan our network across all Jackson zip codes, including 49201, 49202, and 49203, to find the closest available professional who is ready to work.

Are the plumbers in your network familiar with older Jackson homes?

Absolutely. We partner with local experts who understand the specific challenges of historic plumbing systems and older clay pipes commonly found in downtown Jackson and the surrounding residential districts.

Is 24-hour service available for drain emergencies in Jackson, MI?

Yes. We prioritize finding plumbers who offer 24/7 emergency response because we know that a main line backup in the middle of a Michigan winter cannot wait until regular business hours.
