Gareth's Septic and Sewer
6041 W Joy Rd, Dexter, MI 48130, USA
(734) 585-4363On Friday evening we found out that water backed up from basement drain line. We couldn't use water on Friday evening. We called a couple plumping companies on Saturday morning and we were told either to wait on Monday or possible Saturday afternoon. I called Gareth, he told us he could come in half hour. We were so lucky to find him close to home. Gareth came to our house right after the call and he was very friendly, knowledgeable and experienced. He diagnosed our issue quickly. It was caused by clogged main drain line. Gareth has great equipment and our water backup was fixed quickly. Also Gareth's price was very reasonable. Thanks Gareth for your excellent work! We will definitely call him again for all our future pluming work!
11 months agoVERY expedient and VERY fair pricing. Charged us half of what HaleyMech wanted to charge (just for showing up, then HM would have charged us more based on services provided). Gareth came out to inspect a backup late at night (free estimate), did some work and only ended up charging my husband $40 but only took cash, so we gave him a $50. He told my husband we needed to get the septic tanks pumped before he could snake the main line for us. "Call me back after they pump the septic and I'll come snake the line". Septic pump company left and Gareth was back out a few hours later, snaked the line and explained a lot of things we didn't previously understand. 10/10 would use again
11 months agoAwesome service! I was referred to Gareth's septic and sewer through a friend based on an emergency leak and Gareth was there almost immediately to help us! He does high quality work and we now use Gareth’s septic and sewer for all of our plumbing needs and will refer him to anyone. Gareth also does drain cleaning too which seems to be something our neighbors need around this area often.
1 year agoMichigan Power Rodding
818 Phoenix Dr, Ann Arbor, MI 48108, USA
(734) 761-7154Do NOT use this company if you want a job actually done. Had this company out they charged almost $400 to clear a drain. A week later same issue, there has been nobody using water in the warehouse. THE PROBLEM CLEARLY WAS NOT FIXED. They thought they were going to charge another $400. They were told to leave, we fixed it ourselves.
7 months agoSpoiler alert: This is a long review - but worth the read: My mom's basement flood with 6 inches of standing water from a clogged drain. Many items stored in the basement were water-logged and ruined. I had used Michigan Power Rodding at my own house for snaking out drains clogged with tree roots and were very happy with their service. So, being a trusted choice we called them for help with my mom's basement. Stephen was the technician that came out to assess the situation and cleared the drain. He was so kind and compassionate and helped me feel at ease about the whole situation. I was at a loss for what to do about the tremendous amount of items that needed to be removed and/or be disposed of, water extracted out, and cleaning to prevent mold from forming. While speaking with Stephen I mentioned I needed to call a company to do the clean out of the basement. Little did I know that Michigan Power Rodding also did Restoration Services! Stephen quickly reached out to his supervisors, Owner Greg and Operations Manager Adam, who came out to look at the situation, and give us an estimate for them to do the restoration. Let me tell you, to say this was a big job is an understatement. We needed a lot of help. I couldn't possibly do all of the clean out work by myself. The quote the team gave was very reasonable for the type of job that needed to be done. More importantly than that, every member of the team that helped us from start to finish (shout outs to Stephen, Greg, Adam, Chris, Eric and Tommy - sorry if I missed anyone else who helped) were amazingly understanding, considerate, and extraordinarily kind and compassionate. They put me at 100% ease and I trusted them 1000% with this humongous job! All of these men are the real-deal, with a strong sense of character, a hard work-ethic, and the highest integrity. If you find ourself in this same type of situation, I whole-heartedly recommend the team at Michigan Power Rodding for the job.
1 year agoThey answered my emergency phone call at 2:00 AM, when I couldn't even leave a message for Roto-Rooter. They came out that day. Mark was fast, friendly, professional, and CLEAN. Great communication from the company the entire process. Mark explained what he was doing every step of the way, and was happy to answer all my questions. Tenured professionals that care about what they do are becoming more rare. I felt completely confident with Mark's work. 10/10. Price was more than fair for the quality delivered.
3 months agoWalton Plumbing of MI, INC.
740 Meadow Hill, Saline, MI 48176, USA
(734) 231-1637Had a clogged drain. Also turned out to need the flange and a section of pipe replaced. Bill scheduled a time for the next day, but got caught up on the job before and let me know he was behind. I don't mind that, while I wanted my plumbing working, I think it's a good sign when you have someone who will work until the job is done without trying to spin a quick fix and be off to the next job. Bill arrived, did a quick assessment and got to work. Stated the estimated price before starting. Was very professional and just did the work without complaint. (We have a narrow crawl in our home, and most tradesman tell us they won't go in there.) Drain opened, pipe replaced, flange replaced. This is the first plumber I've used that I would actually call again when I need one. Pricing was fair.
4 years agoProfessional, prompt, and efficient. Replaced both of our spigots with frost free ones and when our hot water heater cracked, he was out within an hour of our call. Let's you know cost up front. He took the old water heater and scrap with him. Stands by his work too. Very grateful for his help.
5 years agoBill from Walton plumbing helped us out in a huge pinch. When our power went out for multiple days during the most recent serve storms, we had found out our water backup sump pump wasn’t working properly. Bill was able to come over and take a look at our pump as the water was rising in our Sump well. We had called around to a few of the “big guys” that claim to offer emergency service. They were scheduling weeks out. Walton Plumbing was HONEST, and knowledgeable from the very beginning. Bill was able to come over within the afternoon of calling and easily diagnose that our primary and water backup pump was never installed correctly from the previous home owner and it was causing water to run unnecessarily and — he informed us due to its installation also could never appropriately clear out the pit. Bill provided us with a few different options for helping us fix the issue, as well as a NO PRESSURE professional opinion, and was able to go and get the new higher-end pump we wanted and install within two hours. Not only is our basement and home in a better spot thanks to Walton Plumbing and Bill, but he gave us piece of mind with a proper sump pump system. He even mentioned it’s the one he put in his home. This meant a lot because, the cost of a piece of mind — was an honest fair quote from Bill. It was a no brainer and very hard to find help like Walton Plumbing these days. Wish every company operated honestly like they do here. We’re so thankful we chose them for our plumbing needs. Skip the big commercial plumber names . Trust Walton.

3081 Carson Hwy, Adrian, MI 49221, USA
(517) 403-9188A-1 Drain Plumbing is wonderful! Came quickly. Very efficient, friendly and professional. Highly recommend them.
4 months agoWe very highly reccomend A-Drain Plumbing. Damon was absolutely great. He answered all of our questions while replacing our sump and sewer pumps. Also installed high water alarms on both. He replaced our bathroom faucets in all three bathrooms, and replaced the filters in our reverse osmosis system. Everything was clean and neat when he was finished. We have found our plumbing service for all of our plumbing issues!!
11 months agoThree major projects were scheduled with A-Drain Plumbing just as we were called out of town. We stipulated that we wanted aspects of the installations to be “future proof and friendly to another vender if need be” AND the estimate was open: “if you encounter something that should be addressed…do it.” They responded dynamically to these challenges and hit home runs with each installation. Future proof!! Thanks!!

(734) 977-0441Day 1: We had the pleasure of working with Braiden and Drew for an entire day of service on a home we are renovating. Braiden came out to bid the job initially and was so great that we requested that he act as lead plumber on the service. Every single detail was attended to with care and professionalism, and both plumbers went above and beyond to walk us through every single facet of the repair or the upgrade so we knew how the equipment would function in the future. As first time homeowners, I feel like I got a first class education in my own house. From scheduling to the additional employee Josh dropping off some supplies every employee I’ve interacted with at Dynamic drains has been thorough, communicative, prompt, kind, and easy to work with. Hire Dynamic Drains! You will not be disappointed! As new homeowners the put us at ease and helped us prioritize a long list of project. Day 2 Update: more stars and abundantly happy! Jason was here today from Dynamic Drains and did an impeccable job cleaning out our sewer line, narrating a video— and I learned a little bit more about this company and how they treat their people. If you want to hire a locally owned an operated company that takes care of their employees AND customers- hire Dynamic Drains! They are such great folks.
3 months agoI had an excellent service experience with Tendi, who came to repair my kitchen faucet and replace the shut-off valves and lines beneath my sink, including for my dishwasher. He also flushed my hot water heater while he was here. Tendi was also kind enough to put tags on my home's main shut off valves and the hot water heater's valves and to document important information about the hot water heaters's age and the end of its warranty to help me be able to better maintain it. From start to finish, Tendi was professional, friendly, efficient, and thorough. I really appreciated that he took the time to explain everything he was doing and gave me clear options for which issues to address right now versus what could wait. His communication about pricing, timing, and scope of work was crystal clear, there were no surprises at all. The new valves and lines he installed look fantastic. Everything is so precisely fitted and neatly arranged that I keep going back to admire his work! He also cleaned up completely before he left, leaving the space spotless and ready to use. It’s rare to find someone this skilled and meticulous who also takes the time to make sure you understand your home’s plumbing systems. I also want to note that I called Dynamic Drains after hours last night and left a message, and they called me first thing this morning and worked to make sure they could get a plumber out to me today. Excellent service all around. I’d recommend both Dynamic Drains and Tendi without hesitation. [Before and after photos showing the new valves and lines neatly installed and properly supported]
2 months agoBrendon was great! Loved that we could get in same day for an appointment. Figured out the issue, had the part on the truck. It was more than I wanted to spend on the repair compared to us doing it ourselves/buying the part from the store but with limited time to fix it around work scheudles and making sure it was repaired right, this answered the issue. Thanks as always Dynamic Drains!
2 months agoFathom Plumbing Solutions
3905 Varsity Dr Suite C, Ann Arbor, MI 48108, USA
(734) 822-7582I’m super thrilled by the work Fathom Plumbing did at my house, which included lining my lateral drain to the city sewer. The work itself was awesome, with the end result being a sewer drain that I won’t have to worry about for the rest of my life, and they didn’t dig up my yard! The technicians (shout out to Sanders, Nico, and Robert) were professional, knew their trade well, and answered all of my numerous questions. They were respectful of my home, kept their workspace organized, and did a great job cleaning up when they were done. Use Fathom Plumbing, they’re the best contractors I’ve ever worked with. Also, their billing is very transparent - they tell you exactly what you’re getting for your money.
3 months agoI recently had Fathom Plumbing Solutions install a full home water filtration system in my house, and I am extremely happy with the results. The water quality is now excellent: clean, fresh, and noticeably better for drinking, cooking, and showering. Sanders, Nate, and Andy, the team were professional, respectful, and very knowledgeable. They explained everything clearly and completed the installation with great attention to detail. The work was clean and done right. As someone who takes pride in his home, I appreciate craftsmanship and honesty. I highly recommend Fathom Plumbing Solutions to anyone who wants quality work done the proper way.
2 months agoAndy was super nice and professional. This is my first time dealing with a pretty big water leak and he was able to give clear advices, act quickly, and explain professionally. The overall situation got resolved within 24 hours. I highly recommend this company and it will be my go to if I have any questions in the future.
2 months agoMitch the Plumber
210 Little Lake Dr STE 9, Ann Arbor, MI 48103, USA
(734) 995-5063Overall, I’ve had a great experience with Mitch the Plumber. I had my sewer main replaced 4 years ago by them. They were delicate with the existing plants while digging (saving my most favorite Lilac bush), gave me the cheapest quote, and did a nice job. Unfortunately this year the new pipe settled, and another contractor told me the wrong type of clamp was used. While it was an inconvenience to me, Mitch the Plumber told me this was an issue they don’t see. I showed them the sewer inspection video, and they quickly came out to correct the problem. They stood behind their work, fixed the issue, and even went the extra mile to replace an additional section of pipe all at no additional cost to me. Great guys, I’m glad I went through them. Thank you!
2 months agoI had to get on here and share about the incredible experience I just had with Jacques from Mitch's! He came in at the beginning of the time alloted, identified and fixed problems so expertly and quickly AND was able to teach me step by step more about plumbing and tricks for future issues than I've learned in years of watching plumbers come through my old house. He was also so respectful and kind about my large and anxious dog, winning her over quickly. Much appreciated and recommended!
4 months agoThe person answering the phone was very pleasant, made it easy to get an appointment and was upfront about fees. Devon arrived on time, was professional, friendly and worked hard and neatly. He installed our sink/faucet easily and answered all our questions. He did an excellent job and the fees charged were very reasonable. We would use Mitch the Plumber again.
3 months agoBenjamin Franklin Plumbing of Ann Arbor
62 Enterprise Dr Suite C, Ann Arbor, MI 48103, USA
(734) 346-7263Super responsive. Expert installation. Professional Team. If you are shopping for a plumber, Stop! You've found them. I got a call Tuesday morning from my elderly father-in law that his hot water was not working. One call to the team at Benjamin Franklin and they sent an estimator (Adam) out the same day to identify our problem. He verified a problem with the water heater and suggested we replace a water storage tank was at risk of failure. We had been planning to update the water softener so two installers arrived Wednesday to help us out. Alex and Braden were polite, professional, and did great work. They showed us how to operate our equipment and took all of the old equipment when they were done. I highly recommend this team!
4 months agoBraden replaced two toilets and did excellent work. Overall, they were able to provide a quick and very reasonable quote. The work was scheduled right away and performed efficiently. Very happy with the results. I absolutely recommend them and will continue use their services.
3 months agoZack came in and installed a backup sump pump and did an excellent job from start to finish. He explained everything clearly, and was very professional throughout the visit. He clearly knows what he’s doing and took the time to make sure everything was done correctly. I’ve had some terrible experiences with other plumbers in the past, so I really appreciated Zack’s competence, honesty, and attention to detail. The work was done very well, and I feel confident in the system he installed. Highly recommend Zack — great service and a great experience overall.
4 months agoOlde Towne Plumbing
3880 Trade Center Dr, Ann Arbor, MI 48108, USA
(734) 665-0088We were very disappointed with Olde Town Plumbing. On the first visit, the plumber left a toxic chemical in our basement, which our four-year-old—thankfully able to read—found and alerted me to. The second visit was to fix a leaking toilet they had recaulked. The third visit was to repair a tub they had refitted a gasket on. They asked to remove some glaze around the flange, and when we agreed, they removed a large section, compromising our warranty with the glazing company. I’ve tried twice to get a follow-up report, but they sent me to voicemail both times. We cannot recommend them.
6 months agoQuick read: We got ghosted on an estimate and calling didn't help. We had Chad, the owner, come out to give an inspection. He seemed like an amazing and awesome guy! We went through the house and shared our plumbing issues (low shower pressure) and Chad seemed reasonable and knowledgeable and said he would send us an estimate that night for the work. When he left we 100% thought he would get our business. But then...crickets! No estimate after 24 h. We called them, thinking maybe it got lost in the wash, and were told he is hasn't gotten to it yet. It has been about two weeks and we are yet to hear from anyone over there. I guess plumbers are so busy they can just decline work without giving a word these days. Congrats if you book one! haha
5 months agoLast Friday Nick installed a Kohler flushmate toilet with an handheld bidet and changed the vanity; he did an excellent job very efficiently in about a little over 2 hours. Neat clean job. Will always ask for Nick for all future plumbing issues. Sumi Raj
6 months agoProfessional Drain Cleaning in bridgewater, Michigan
Bridgewater may be a quiet corner of Washtenaw County, but a backed-up sink or a slow-draining tub can quickly disrupt your peace. Finding a reliable plumber who is willing to make the trip out to our rural and residential areas often involves a dozen phone calls and long wait times. That’s where we change the game. We’ve identified 9 local plumbing experts serving the Bridgewater area and we do the legwork for you.
Our unique service doesn't just give you a list of names; we actively scan our network based on your specific zip code and call the technicians ourselves. We confirm their current 24-hour availability and ensure they have the equipment to handle your specific clog before you ever pick up the phone. Whether you are near the heart of town or on the outskirts of the township, we ensure you get a verified professional who is ready to work right now.
Common Drain Issues in bridgewater, Michigan
Many properties in the Bridgewater area rely on older plumbing systems or septic setups that are prone to localized clogs. Tree root intrusion is a frequent culprit here, as the mature Michigan maples and oaks often find their way into aging clay sewer lines, causing slow drains throughout the entire home.
Hard water is another common headache for Bridgewater residents. The high mineral content in Michigan's groundwater leads to significant scale buildup inside your pipes. Over time, this calcium and magnesium deposit narrows the passage for wastewater, making even small debris cause a major backup.
Given our proximity to agricultural land, many homes utilize basement floor drains to manage runoff and high water tables. When these floor drains clog due to sediment or laundry lint, it can lead to standing water in your basement, risking property damage and mold growth if not addressed immediately.
Lastly, the shift in temperatures in Washtenaw County causes the ground to shift, which can lead to bellies or breaks in your main line. If you notice gurgling sounds coming from your toilets or a foul odor near your yard, it’s often a sign that the main line is struggling to vent or flow properly.
Seasonal Drain Maintenance Tips for bridgewater, Michigan
In the autumn, ensure your outdoor drains and gutters are clear of fallen leaves. Debris that enters your drainage system now can freeze solid once the Michigan winter hits, leading to cracked pipes and basement flooding during the spring thaw.
During our harsh Bridgewater winters, keep your indoor drains flowing by maintaining a consistent temperature in your crawlspaces. If a drain line freezes, do not use chemical cleaners; the reaction can create heat that damages PVC or puts unnecessary pressure on frozen metal pipes.
Spring in Michigan brings heavy rains and a rising water table. Check your sump pump and floor drains early in the season to ensure they are clear of silt and debris so they can handle the increased volume of water without backing up into your living space.
In the summer, be mindful of what goes down the kitchen sink during BBQ season. Fats, oils, and grease (FOG) may be liquid when you pour them down, but they solidify quickly in the cooler underground pipes, leading to stubborn 'fatbergs' that require professional hydro-jetting to clear.
Average Drain Cleaning Costs in bridgewater, Michigan
The cost of drain cleaning in Bridgewater typically ranges based on the severity and location of the clog. A simple snake service for a single fixture is on the lower end, while main sewer line clearing or hydro-jetting for heavy scale and roots will fall on the higher end.
