Expert Drain Cleaning in Waukee, IA

Our main drain was backed up into our basement. I gave our usual plumber a call and they recommended Smith's Sewer Service. The reception team quickly got my on the schedule for the following Tuesday afternoon. By 4:30pm Tuesday I had not heard from anyone, so I called in. The first receptionist disconnected the line (I'm assuming by mistake) and then failed to call me back. I called in again and got a different receptionist and he confirmed someone was still coming out. It was pretty late before we got someone, and it ended up getting pushed out another day due to needing additional equipment. Wednesday afternoon, Jordan and Gunner were able to jet and Camera the sewer drain remove the build up and tell where the problem area was. Their clean-up was very thorough, and they were both friendly. It was recommended to have a full sewer replacement, but when I got some quotes, I did get advice not to replace the sewer since this was our first issue in 9 years, and to just do regular preventative maintenance instead. Overall, happy with the services provided by Smith's, but the hiccups are preventing me from giving the full rating. Make sure you get multiple opinions when it comes to the big stuff.

Tommy did an excellent job cleaning out my main drain. He was quick, efficient, very informative, on time and didn’t leave a mess. The best! Will request him the next time!

Pat & Zach came to camera my sewer today to see what caused sewer backup this past January. Pat & Zach discovered I have cast iron pipe and the issue was roots. The roots were cut out the camera showed no other issues. I received a copy of the video as proof. I’m so thankful for Pat & Zach for their expertise, knowledge and professionalism! I felt the price I paid was very fair and quality of work was professional. Plumber came out the same day and replaced my defective kitchen faucet in less than hour.

My AC was not working so I called and got a same day appointment. Denny was awesome. He diagnosed the problem and fixed it temporarily because my AC is 28 years. We discussed the pricing of a new air conditioning unit. He was very thorough and explained the different models. We ultimately are getting a new air conditioner on Wednesday. The finance process was very easy. Denny was friendly and very easy to talk to. Highly recommend Denny and Holt for any repairs or new installs. Denny was very trustworthy.

I had an excellent experience with JD while he worked on a fireplace cap-off in my home. From the very beginning, his communication was outstanding—he let me know ahead of time when he would arrive, which gave me plenty of time to get my dogs put away and everything ready. We are really happy we signed up for a free electrical inspection from Tyler at Holt. He was excellent at explaining our options and pricing. Tyler and Azri came back the next day and performed the services with impeccable customer care - they even moved our stuff out of the way and put it back since the outlets they updated and created were in the garage.

They came and redone my sewer that broke… They did an outstanding job! Answered all questions and was fast to respond to the issue… Very honest and trustworthy people…. Best service I have ever experienced… They even put grass seed down where they dug up yard which didn’t have to… They go above and beyond to make sure their customers are satisfied… Great job guys will definitely call you guys with future needs… 5 star plus!!!!!!!!! If I could give these guys 10 stars, I absolutely would! We found out rather abruptly that we needed a full sewer line replacement. I made close to a dozen calls to get someone to do this and Dave and his crew were the only ones that said they would replace it through trenchless method without hesitation! We live on a slab and so knowing that a 4 foot deep trench wouldnt have to be dug through our entire living room to fix everything wrong was a huge relief! Within a week Dave worked diligently to diagnose our issues, pull permits, and get us fixed up. His crew was incredibly respectful of our home and circumstance and Dan's on-the-job knowledge was top notch! Without a doubt I recommend Kriens, they will be our first call for plumbing related issues from here on out- they do what they say and say what they mean. They do right by their customers and they will go the extra mile to make sure you are taken care of the right way, the first time! Knowing that we will never have sewer line issues again is such a relief as a homeowner; having Kriens complete the work was the best thing that came out of an unfortunate situation!

We had a broken sewer line at ChaCha's Hiland Bakery, Dave and his team were amazing to work with from start to finish. They came out, dug the hole, got our sewer line repaired and the street was back together in a day. I can't recommend them enough.

Unfortunately, our experience with Chas W. Goering Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling has been very frustrating and disappointing. They have been out to our home a total of three times, and we are still dealing with unresolved issues regarding the air conditioner. We were told the leak was fixed, but that turned out to be incorrect. We were also told the A-coil was not leaking, which also ended up being incorrect. Even after multiple visits, the air still was not blowing as cold as it should have been, and the heater pipes were not placed on the correct side of the building either. In addition to the ongoing repair issues, there were remarks made to a coworker that we have on camera regarding the location of our home that people would steal in the area, we felt were unnecessary and unprofessional. We also had to deal with the discomfort of the home being hot while waiting for the same issues to be addressed repeatedly. They were also responsible for installing a brand-new furnace, and unfortunately, that job was left extremely dirty. I do have photos documenting the condition that was left behind. I understand that mistakes can happen, but the repeated visits, lack of proper resolution, and overall experience have been very disappointing. I would really like to see the company take accountability, communicate clearly, and make this situation right. make professional!

I took leave to go see my family for Christmas caused I am stationed in Virginia and today I had to hear this interaction. The woman in the video is my mom. This company came out to fix a leak behind the washer. In the process of them making the repair the left some dents on top (very minute) but this washer was brand new from bestbuy, installed the day prior. We had called them and brought this to their attention and they bring Kevin the GM. The loud bang in the video was him throwing his phone on our washer to "prove a point". Overall, this interaction was very rude and belittling. They failed to take accountability. Would not recommend this company for anything. I also included the video where one of the gentlemen use the washer to lean on and place tools on top. I do not think they did it intentionally but the way the GM took care of it was really disappointing and rude.

Have been using Goering for several years to do whole house plumbing repairs and updating as well as hvac work for houses that I completely refurb. Some Contractors wont even touch these types of projects as they might involve older homes with lathe/plaster and hardened joists. They always take on the challenges ! I reached out via email to Jeremy that I needed my galvanized pipes removed because of low water pressure and needed a wash sink installed. Jeremy came to my home to eye the work required and provided an estimate. I worked via email to set up a time to get the work done. I let Manny inside and he went to work with his great taste in classical music! When I returned, the work was done and my water pressure high! Would highly recommend these professionals for reasonable costs for very professional quality work!

We had Zac out for the annual electrical inspection. He was very friendly and professional. He was very kind to my 5 year old son, allowing him to watch him work and also engaging in conversation with my son. At the end of the inspection, Zac provided a review of what he inspected along with suggested updates. Zac was informative and explained everything thoroughly. I really appreciated that Zac provided me with options, but he didn't give me a pushy sales pitch or pressure me into making a decision today. My son said he's a very nice guy and hopes to see him again. Thanks Zac!
