We called Plumbrite because we purchased quartz countertops in our master bathroom and we needed a plumber to remove two of our old bathroom faucets and drains and install two new faucets and drains. They sent Jordan. Jordan came out gave us an estimate and removed the old faucets and drains on Thursday, and came back Friday and installed the new faucets and drains; he even installed new supply lines-- he did an excellent job! He was very professional and his work is exquisite! Now they're a little pricey, they're definitely not cheap! But, my Momma always told me that you get what you pay for! I will definitely use Plumbrite again and if you want good quality work, you'll use them too! Make sure you ask for Jordan-- he's the bomb.com!

I highly recommend Ray!! He was very professional and he found exactly what was wrong. I had 2 other people before him come out and I spent $1500 and they didn't fix the issue! I was leery (and poor lol) but Ray went right to the issue! He explained throughly, showed me what was going on and opened my sad, old looking cast iron pipes back up, so that I could wash dishes in my kitchen once again. Soon, they will be rerouting new pipes so perhaps I will have another positive review once that work has also been completed :) stay tuned!

Bought a house a few years back and to my misfortune bern paying twice a year to have my mainline snaked and it clogging right back up. Years of neglect and pouring grease down kitchen sink wreaked havoc slowing all dtains in house to a stop or very slow from previous owner. Luckily I found Jeff, easy to talk to and explained exactly what the problem was and why a simple snake will only work temporarily. Walked me thru the process and told me everything that was done and explained different heads he used on the machine and what exactly they did! All around very good service and because of it I can rest easy knowing I wont have to pay another few hundred every few months over and over. JetSet is the way to go! Highly recommend! Thank you for the Great service you provide Sir

We bought our home in October, and unfortunately no one told us about the sewer issues lurking beneath it. Thankfully, we called Omaha Drain—and Larry came out right away. He spotted the problem immediately and walked us through his recommendations. What started as a simple repair quickly revealed a much bigger issue: our entire main sewer line needed to be replaced. Even with such overwhelming news, the Omaha Drain team turned a nightmare into a manageable experience. They jumped into action without hesitation and even included a brand-new water heater, which was an incredible bonus. Their flexibility with scheduling and financing made a stressful situation so much easier. Every crew member we’ve met has been friendly, professional, and truly great to work with. They’re still wrapping up the project, but we’ve been impressed every step of the way. More updates to come once everything is finished!

Omaha Drain was fantastic. We had a major sewer drain problem. Brand X company came out twice, could not solve the problem, then told us it would be four days before someone could come out. We were then told to go find another plumber. Cost to not fix the problem was $500. I called Omaha Drain and in 30 minutes someone was here. They identified the problem and major work began. Fast, neat, clean and the inspector from the city said “they did a good job”. I was kept informed on the status of the work and the timing. The office staff also helped keeping us informed. Good communication. Thank you to Larry, David, Benji, Dillon, Don, Mike, Jake, and Barbara.

Our sink started to back up anytime we ran the dishwasher. Gave Omaha Drain a call and Bud was out within a few hours! He got right to the problem and solved it quickly, discussed options and explaining each step along the way. He gave great suggestions on how to avoid future problems and got us up and going again so quickly! Even better was only having to pay $99 for it! Not only was Bud able to fix our problem, he did it with a smile on his face and great conversation while doing so. We have found our new go-to plumber, that's for sure! 10/10 recommend Omaha Drain and especially Bud! We cannot thank you enough!

These guys are the BEST!! Fast, Professional, friendly, and caring, quality work! We had to have our entire sewer line replaced, as we live in an old part of town, and had a massive root invasion in the system.. these guys were very careful with a very old (27 yearish) flower planter of my wife’s…. The back hoe operator and the crew were extra careful with it…. Saving it for her !! Great folks, uniformed and professional… the GO TO Plumbers in Council Bluffs… HANDS DOWN!

Great experience. Alex, Pat, Dana, and Zach were all fabulous to work with. Walking into the house, there were a lot of questionable things happening with our water lines but they figured out the best action plan, communicated with us very well, got everything straightened out and the galvanized pipes replaced. We would happily work with Viper Plumbing again and recommend them to anyone needing plumbing work, big or small. They were affordable and professional. A+ work!

Major Drain worked on a water main leak at a flared union buried 12 feet underground and 3 feet from the house. Dayton patiently answered all my questions prior to the scheduled date. The crew showed up on time, Dan and Dayton reassessed what the project would entail, and went with the least invasive option, which was less costly than what I was quoted. I was very impressed with how considerate they were of causing the least amount of damage to the house. They were very mindful of the landscaping protecting it with plywood, which made returning things back to their original state very easy. The crew was polite and worked tirelessly even though the temperature dropped to 22 degrees throughout the morning. Sergio was incredibly skilled with the excavator and everyone appeared to know what they were doing. The people I spoke with at the office were always pleasant and professional. My experience was very positive; I would certainly contact them again.

I've had Major Drain do a couple smaller projects in my home (toilet install, general plumbing repair/cleaning), and am very happy with the results of both visits. Their employees were very communicative and easy to work with, both when getting an initial quote and when their plumbers were in my home for the actual work. They'll always be one of my first calls when I need a plumber.

I am so thankful for the reviews that led me to call Major Drain when my basement flooded from a sewer back up. It was a Sunday and I was very pleasantly surprised when the call was answered immediately and I was told that someone would be there within the hour. 45 minutes later Jake was at my door. Twice he snaked the line to no success, so he called Trent who came with a camera. Apparently, the line had a break at the end of my driveway. Three days later a crew came for the excavation and repair and set to work. I highly recommend this company. Every person I met was courteous, informative and patient when I kept peering over their shoulders. They constantly updated me on what was going on and when they left they did a great job of cleaning up the site. 5 stars isn't enough.

Zach and his crew did a fantastic job handling our large project, which involved installing a new drain line under existing concrete for a laundry room that had never been up to code. The entire process was seamless, with excellent communication throughout—both with the tenant and with me. Very well done. I look forward to continuing to do business with you.

We bought our home five months ago, and due to undisclosed information from the previous owners, our basement pipes needed urgent repair. We called Zach from Local Plumbing and Drain and he was quick to come assess the pipes (always get an inspection of plumbing and get a home warranty). Anyway, once we signed the estimate, they came out within a few weeks and did an excellent job on installing new pipes. Zach, Ryan and Tin moved our water filtration system and our washing machine to a different location, giving us much needed access to our furnace. We will definitely be using this company for any of our future plumbing needs.

We had moved into our home just two days earlier, and due to issues that were missed during the inspection, we discovered there was no hot water and that the water heater needed to be replaced. Ryan came out the same day and was incredibly professional and knowledgeable. Just 48 hours later he installed a new tankless hot water heater, water softener, and replaced/rerouted the old piping all in the same day. His work looks great. Highly recommended.

i can't recommend alexis's finest plumbers enough—we’ll definitely stick with them for all our plumbing needs. when our old cast iron sewer pipes finally gave out at our omaha home, we needed the whole system replaced, which felt overwhelming at first. after searching around, a friend suggested we call them, and it was the best decision we made. landon took care of the project from start to finish, including getting permits, digging trenches, tunneling, putting in new pvc piping, setting up the cleanouts, making all the right connections, and making sure everything passed inspection. the job was completed quickly and with great attention to detail, and landon made sure we felt confident every step of the way. i’ve already told my family and friends about the team, and everyone has been just as pleased with the results.

I had a sudden sewer problem with sewage backing up into my pipes at home. Alexis's Finest Plumbers was able to send someone out to my place in Omaha in less than three hours! All the pipes in my house needed to be replaced. harrison was incredible to work with – he really knows his stuff, was super friendly, and took the time to explain everything step by step as the work went on. harrison and his crew turned what started as a stressful situation into something that went really smoothly. the whole team was awesome, from the folks in the office to the lead plumbers and even the apprentices. my family and i felt like we were in good hands the whole time. i highly recommend this company if you need any plumbing help. after this, i won’t call anyone else for repairs or renovations, and i’ll be telling everyone i know to use them too!

We had a major leak in our copper pipes at home in Omaha. I called a local plumber early the next morning and spoke with a friendly person who gave me a rough estimate for the repair over the phone. The final price actually turned out to be a bit less than what was quoted. They also offer some nice discounts for certain customers. The plumber, Landon, arrived at our house within 30 minutes of my call. He was polite, professional, and fixed the leaking pipe quickly. The whole process was smooth and hassle-free. I’ll definitely call them again for any plumbing needs and would highly recommend their services to anyone in Omaha looking for a reliable plumber.

After dealing with ongoing plumbing problems, I had my main sewer line replaced from the house out to the alley. I was truly impressed with the plumbers who handled the job from start to finish. If you're in Omaha and think great customer service is hard to find these days, I recommend giving these folks a call. Special thanks to Cory, Roman, Ezekiel, and the rest of the crew for their excellent work. It's a huge relief to have a plumbing company you can really trust with something so important. From my very first call to the office, the team made sure I was well taken care of. The communication was clear and consistent the whole way through. Roman, who worked on my case, was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. He took care of the immediate plumbing issue quickly and set up everything needed to make sure things would stay fixed for the long run. This company has truly earned my business for life. I can't recommend them enough for anyone needing a reliable plumber in Omaha. Great job to the whole team!

When I needed a plumber again, my hot water heater started leaking. The team from Miles's Plumbing was professional and showed up right on time. While working, Roman noticed something important in my basement—a big hole in a pipe coming from my furnace. Even though it wasn't part of the job, he let me know right away. I didn't realize this was why we were having trouble with our heat, especially since the furnace is new and the hole was in a ceiling vent I never would have checked. I really appreciate how much he cared and took the time to point it out. This was actually the second time I needed plumbing help recently. The first time, they handled a major job that required digging up the ground in front of my house to install new pipes. The crew worked hard, even in the snow, and cleaned up everything after they finished. Both times, they made sure to make things as easy as possible for me, since I have trouble walking. Cory and Ezekiel went out of their way to help. I can't say enough good things about their service and the people who work there. Every plumber who has come out has been friendly, skilled, and respectful. I highly recommend them to anyone needing plumbing work done.

We had a leak coming from our shower head that was dripping into the kitchen through a shared wall. Our landlord called a local plumbing company, and they sent out Cory to take care of the problem. Cory showed up right on time and made sure the job was done right from start to finish. There were a couple of small bumps during the repair, so it ended up taking more than one day, but the company was quick to come back the very next business day to wrap things up. Everything was handled professionally and our leak is now fixed. I would definitely recommend their plumbing services to anyone in Omaha!

Professional Drain Cleaning in Council Bluffs, Iowa

Living in 'The Bluffs' means dealing with unique plumbing challenges, from the historic homes nestled near the Loess Hills to the modern developments expanding toward the outskirts of town. When a kitchen sink backups or a basement floor drain overflows, you don't have time to call down a long list of plumbers only to find out they're booked until next week. That’s where our service changes the game for Pottawattamie County residents.

We specialize in streamlining your search for emergency relief. Our platform scans a curated network of certified Council Bluffs plumbers, filtering specifically for your zip code. Most importantly, we do the legwork for you—calling to confirm they have an open slot to solve your drain issue today before you ever pick up the phone. Whether you are located near the Mid-America Center or up by Big Lake Park, we ensure you get connected with a pro who is actually ready to work.

Common Drain Issues in Council Bluffs, Iowa

Root Intrusion in Historic Neighborhoods: Many of Council Bluffs' older neighborhoods feature beautiful, mature trees whose roots are constantly seeking moisture. These roots often penetrate older clay or cast iron sewer lines, causing recurring backups that require professional snaking or hydro-jetting to clear.

Hard Water Scale Buildup: Like much of Iowa, Council Bluffs deals with high mineral content in the water. Over time, these minerals create scale inside your pipes, narrowing the passage and making it much easier for hair, soap scum, and food particles to create stubborn clogs that DIY chemicals can't dissolve.

Shifted Foundations and Settling: The unique topography of the Loess Hills and the sandy soil near the Missouri River can cause ground shifting. This movement often leads to 'bellied' or cracked drain lines, especially in older residential areas, resulting in standing water and frequent blockages.

Heavy Rains and Basement Backups: During wet Iowa springs, the local water table rises, putting immense pressure on basement floor drains. If your main line is even partially obstructed, you’ll likely see backup in the lowest point of your home during a typical Missouri River valley thunderstorm.

Seasonal Drain Maintenance Tips for Council Bluffs, Iowa

Spring Thaw Inspection: As the ground thaws in Council Bluffs, check your basement floor drains for any signs of slow drainage. This is the best time to clear out debris before the heavy spring rains hit.

Fall Leaf Management: Ensure your outdoor area drains and gutters are clear of fallen leaves. In Western Iowa, autumn debris can quickly wash into your drainage system, causing significant blockages during the first heavy frost.

Winter Pipe Protection: While your main drains are underground, the pipes leading to them in crawlspaces or unheated basements can freeze during Iowa's sub-zero winters. Keep your home's ambient temperature steady to prevent drain line fractures.

Summer Grease Awareness: With humid Council Bluffs summers often involving outdoor grilling and heavy kitchen use, remember never to pour fats or oils down the drain. The humidity doesn't keep them liquid; they will solidify in your pipes and trap other debris.

Average Drain Cleaning Costs in Council Bluffs, Iowa

$145-$475

Pricing in Council Bluffs typically depends on the clog's location and the equipment required. A standard sink snake is on the lower end, while main sewer line clearing or emergency service on weekends will fall on the higher end.

Frequently Asked Questions about Drain Cleaning in Council Bluffs, Iowa

How quickly can I get a plumber to my home in Council Bluffs?

Our service is designed for speed. We filter our network of 15 local plumbers by your specific Council Bluffs zip code and call them to verify they can provide same-day service before we even connect you.

Why do the drains in my historic Fairmount Park home clog so often?

Older homes in the Fairmount Park area often have clay tile or cast iron pipes which are highly susceptible to tree root intrusion and internal rusting. A professional camera inspection can identify if your pipes need a simple cleaning or a more permanent repair.

Does the hard water in Council Bluffs affect my drains?

Yes, Iowa's hard water leads to calcium and magnesium buildup inside your pipes. This 'scaling' creates a rough surface that catches hair and grease, leading to more frequent clogs than in areas with softer water.

Are the plumbers in your network licensed for work in Pottawattamie County?

Absolutely. We only work with certified, professional plumbers who are licensed to operate in Council Bluffs and the state of Iowa, ensuring your home meets local plumbing codes.

Can you find a drain cleaner available near Lake Manawa on a weekend?

Yes. Our 24-hour availability verification service specifically checks which plumbers are on call and ready to head to the Lake Manawa area, even on Saturdays and Sundays.
