Drain Tech Plumbing
255 W 2675 N, Layton, UT 84041, USA
(801) 396-8301We had another great experience with Drain Tech Company. Eli has been to our home before, and once again he exceeded expectations. We were having an issue with our main drain line in the basement leading out to our septic tank. Eli immediately diagnosed the problem and knew exactly what needed to be done. He was friendly, highly knowledgeable, and took the time to explain every step of the process. He offered clear guidance on the best solution, which we approved, and then completed the job efficiently and professionally. What really stood out was his attention to detail and respect for our home. He carefully removed and reinstalled the toilet, laid down towels, and kept everything clean throughout the entire repair. When he finished, everything was working perfectly and the area was spotless. Eli is a true model of excellent customer service. A++ all the way. We highly recommend Drain Tech Company and will absolutely continue to use them in the future.
4 months agoJohnny did a great job for us. It was a difficult job as it was in an older home and many roots were were blocking the system. He jetted it out. He was so pleasant and kind. Highly recommend Johnny and draintech for service! Great price too! Thank you Johnny for a job well done and quick service.
4 months agoWe would recommend Drain Tech over all the rest! Kylin came out on a Sunday afternoon and was so incredibly knowledgeable and efficient! He not only fixed our problem, but also walked us through everything we can do maintain clear drains and prevent more problems. We will definitely continue using their services in the future.

3 months agoWright's Plumbing and Rooter
477 S 800 E, Clearfield, UT 84015, USA
(801) 662-8786We have used Wright's Plumbing for the last few years and have been extremely happy with them. Their service, prices, and follow up stand out with the type of service we look for.
8 months agoVery happy with the water heater replacement. Price was fair and similar to other quotes I received. The crew worked quick and kept their workspace clean. They even put down blankets to protect our carpet. Would definitely use them again.
4 months agoWe recently used Wright’s Plumbing & Rooter to help us put a kitchen in our basement, and we could not be happier with the experience. From the very beginning, they were professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. They took the time to answer our questions, explained everything clearly, and made sure the plumbing was done right the first time. The crew showed up when they said they would, kept the work area clean, and paid attention to the details that really matter in a basement kitchen install. Everything works perfectly, and the finished project turned out even better than we hoped. It’s hard to find contractors these days who genuinely care about quality and customer service, but they absolutely delivered on both. We would highly recommend them to anyone needing plumbing work, remodel help, or a new kitchen installation. Thank you again for helping bring our basement kitchen project to life!
1 month agoRare Breed Plumbing, Heating, and Air
270 S Main St Ste #113, Bountiful, UT 84010, USA
(801) 252-5888**Incomplete Work - Paid Thousands for "Full Repipe" That Wasn't Complete** I hired RareBreed Plumbing in April 2024 for what was sold to me as a complete replacement of all galvanized steel piping in my home. I paid thousands of dollars based on this understanding. I trusted this company because the owner, Court, had previously done excellent work at my home before he owned RareBreed. Unfortunately, this experience was drastically different: **Professionalism Issues:** - Two plumbers argued with each other throughout the workday while in my home - What should have been a professional job turned into an all-day event - By the end of the day, 5-6 plumbers were in my house trying to finish the work - I had to speak with the crew leader about the unprofessional behavior **Incomplete Work:** - About a week after the original work, I had to call them back because the P-trap under my bathroom sink was leaking due to incorrect measurements - On Christmas Eve 2025, I discovered water on my bathroom floor - The source was a leaking shutoff valve connected to OLD, CORRODED, RUSTED galvanized steel pipes that were NEVER REPLACED during the "complete repipe" - I had to make multiple trips to Home Depot on Christmas Eve to purchase galvanized steel pipe and repair it myself - I sent them photos clearly showing painted galvanized steel pipes with old paint rings, proving they predate the April 2024 work - During the callback for the P-trap repair, workers were directly under this sink yet never addressed or replaced these corroded pipes **Company Response:** When I called to address the unreplaced galvanized steel pipes, I was told on the phone that only drainage pipes are under warranty. This completely misses the point - these galvanized steel water lines should have been replaced during the ORIGINAL work in April 2024 as part of the complete pipe replacement I paid for. I was told Verbally, all pipes except copper would be replaced - that's why I agreed to spend thousands of dollars. I sent an email requesting a written explanation of why these pipes were not replaced as promised. The company has not responded to my email request. **Bottom Line:** I paid thousands of dollars for complete pipe replacement and received incomplete work. The corroded galvanized steel pipes I discovered on Christmas Eve should have been replaced when I paid for the job in April 2024. I cannot recommend this company based on this experience. If you hire RareBreed Plumbing, I strongly recommend: - Getting extremely detailed written quotes specifying exactly which pipes will be replaced - Taking before and after photos of ALL work areas - Inspecting all work thoroughly before final payment - Being prepared for potential professionalism issues during the work
4 months agoAbsolute life savers! My kid just got moved in to a new home and called me up to see if I could work some magic and get someone out there to deal with some backing up drains in his basement right next to his bedroom. I knew Court is out learning new and innovative pipe lining products and services that his team can offer, so I gave the office a buzz. Conna was very professional, kind, careful, and considerate in my emergency situation. She was quickly able to get me on the schedule and had Chandler on his way up to my kid's home in Bountiful immediately. He arrived within 45 minutes of me booking the call which gave me enough time to jet up there from Sandy to make sure he was taken care of and comfortable with a stranger in his home. Chandler was awesome. Very thorough, thoughtful, courteous, and professional. He diagnosed and corrected the issue precisely and carefully while taking time to shoot the breeze and make sure my kid was comfortable, informed, and taken care of through the whole process. I owe you all big time. So incredibly grateful ❤️
2 months agoWe had a new water softener system added to our home and couldn’t be more pleased with the work performed by Brody. He was thorough, not pushy, totally in tune with the latest tech and designed a system that meets our needs and doesn’t go beyond our means. A trusted advisor for all your residential needs!
3 months agoPipe Pros Utah
991 Shepard Ln Ste 110, Farmington, UT 84025, USA
(801) 804-5322Super impressed with our experience from Pipe Pros! Fred and his team are absolutely amazing. They were super respectful of our house, always ensuring they had shoe covers or covers over the floor. We had a floor drain replaced and they had it done in about two hours! Of the five companies I called, they were the only ones who even wanted to look at it, and I’m so grateful they were the ones to do it. So neat and clean! Definitely would recommend and will have them back to do more work in the future.
7 months agoFred showed up when scheduled and assessed the situation quickly. Replaced my pressure regulating valve and set the pressure. Also replaced a hose bib while there. Fair pricing and quality work. I will definitely call Pipe Pros for any future plumbing needs.
8 months agoFred came out to repair an old Moen shower valve that didn't flow cold water anymore. We talked about what needed to be done and he gave me a firm quote for the job (which I felt was a fair price). I knew which part had to be replaced, but I could not get access to it. He was able to remove the siezed brass screw-on cover to get to the part and was able to extract it with some effort. He had to go to a local plumbing supply store to get the (not so common) part, installed it, and the shower works like new again! Fred did a great job, was respectful of the house (put shoe coverings on), and was very friendly. I was also appreciative of the firm price quote, so no surprises there! I highly recommend Pipe Pros!
3 months agoMike Bachman Plumbing
549 W 24th St, Ogden, UT 84401, USA
(801) 627-5953We were experiencing an issue with our four year old tankless water heater. The code said it had a venting issue. Before reaching out to a company, I performed some simple tasks to ensure proper venting, but the problem persisted. We would still get hot water; the unit would shutdown/reset intermittently and water would go cold. An annoyance, but still needed to be rectified. As I was looking for a company to call to look at the water heater, I didn’t want to use a “jack of all trades” company due to poor experiences with them professionally. They seemed to be more interested in the upsell than just performing the needed task and preying on the vulnerabilities of customers. When I came across Mike Bachman Plumbing I was excited to see that not only were they just plumbers, but they also specialized in tankless water heaters. I called dispatch who was very friendly. She informed me of the dispatch price and that if the tech needed to do any work that it would be discussed at the appointment. I was also able to secure a next day appointment. I was out of town so my wife was taking care of the appointment. The tech happened to come while she was gone picking up one of our children from school so my older child let the tech in to get started. Shortly after the arrival, I received a phone call from the tech explaining that the dispatch fee was in addition to another fee that was based on the presumed difficulty in troubleshooting the unit. This added about three times the dispatch fee and the tech would not touch the unit until agreement to make this payment was made. Shortly into the conversation my wife returned home and agreed feeling a little trapped since he was already there. The unit was not a brand that this company installs and the tech was up front that he wasn’t familiar with it. He spent the next hour and a half or so performing some of the same simple tasks that I had already done among others and talking on the phone and seeming generally unsure of what to do with the unit. Once, he finished with what he felt like he could do, he indicated he would need to call the manufacturer on a different date and that would cost an hourly rate that may or may not resolve the issue or we could have them install a new tankless water heater. The tech also told us the unit was junk anyway and a new unit would be advisable. Upon the tech leaving I was left with a water heater that now wasn’t working at all with no hope of getting it working, a much larger than expected bill, and a quote for a new unit. I was at a loss for where to go next. I am a fairly mechanical individual so I thought maybe I can replace the unit myself. I researched the water heater they wanted to put in and found it to be a third of what they were going to charge for install. At that point I knew I wasn’t going to use them for installation because they had just turned it the “jack of all trades” type of company and wanted to upsell me. In the end I would never recommend Mike Bachman plumbing due to misleading house call fees, lack of knowledge unless it is familiar equipment, and preying on vulnerabilities of customers. *Update: No call yesterday for anyone who may have been wondering. **Update: I did receive a call the next day and talked with Vic. I explained my experience as described above and he was very nice and apologetic. He worked to make things as right as possible. Doesn’t change what happened, but I can appreciate the integrity of a company willing to own mistakes and strive to make things right for the customer.
3 months agoI have used Bachman plumbing in the past and I will continue to use them. Incredible service! I am happy with the work they did on my bathroom remodel. It was a long process. Not their fault. This had to be done in stages, so that was expected. But they sure made it as easy as possible. The plumbers assigned to my job, Brandon and Cameron were excellent. They walked me through everything. Stopped and asked questions when needed. I called in with questions and Brandon would get back to me quickly. They were awesome! And even in the end, during clean-up they broke down boxes which they did not have to do. Those little things make a difference. I can't end my review without a shout-out to the office staff. I spoke with Cathy and Jennifer several times. They were kind, friendly, and professional. They were very helpful. Even the "how can we make you smile" greeting would get me. It may be a tad corny, but it made me smile. Excellent care and service all around! Recommend highly!

4 months agoProfessional Drain Cleaning in Syracuse, Utah
Syracuse, Utah, often called the 'Gateway to Antelope Island,' has transformed from a quiet farming community into one of Davis County's fastest-growing residential hubs. Whether you are living in a long-standing farmhouse near the city center or a brand-new development near the 2000 West corridor, a clogged drain is more than a nuisance—it’s a disruption to your family's busy schedule. Our service is designed to bridge the gap between needing help and finding a professional who is actually available to show up today.
Finding a reliable plumber in Northern Utah shouldn't feel like a part-time job. Instead of you spending hours calling down a list and hearing 'we're booked until next week,' we do the legwork for you. We filter our network of certified plumbers by your exact Syracuse zip code and personally call them to verify they have a technician ready to handle your specific drain cleaning needs before we ever connect you.
We understand the unique plumbing landscape of the Wasatch Front. From the hard water issues common in Utah to the specific drainage challenges posed by our proximity to the Great Salt Lake, we ensure you are matched with a local expert who understands Syracuse infrastructure. Our goal is to get your home back to normal with zero stress and maximum efficiency.
Common Drain Issues in Syracuse, Utah
Hard water is a significant concern for Syracuse residents. The high mineral content in Davis County water leads to calcium and magnesium buildup inside your pipes. Over time, this 'scaling' narrows the passage for wastewater, causing slow drains that are highly resistant to DIY fixes and require professional-grade equipment to clear.
In the newer subdivisions sprawling toward West Point, we often see 'construction clogs.' It isn't uncommon for building materials like drywall mud, grout, or paint to be rinsed down drains during the final phases of construction. These materials can harden deep within the stack, leading to stubborn blockages in homes that are only a few years old.
The mature landscaping in older Syracuse neighborhoods brings the risk of tree root intrusion. During Utah’s dry summer months, the roots of large trees seek out the moisture found in sewer lines. They can penetrate small cracks or joints in older pipes, creating a mesh that traps debris and leads to full-scale sewage backups.
Kitchen sink clogs are frequent in this family-oriented community. High-volume meal prep often leads to fats, oils, and grease (FOG) being washed down the drain. In our cooler Northern Utah ground temperatures, these substances solidify quickly, creating 'fatbergs' that traditional drain cleaners simply cannot dissolve, requiring professional hydro-jetting or snaking.
Seasonal Drain Maintenance Tips for Syracuse, Utah
Spring Snowmelt Check: As the snow melts off the Wasatch Range, ensure your basement floor drains are clear. Heavy spring runoff can increase groundwater pressure, and a clear drain is your first line of defense against a flooded basement.
Summer Root Awareness: July and August are the peak times for tree roots to seek out your sewer lines. If you notice multiple drains slowing down at once or gurgling sounds coming from your toilets, it's time for a professional inspection before the roots cause a total pipe collapse.
Fall Debris Clearance: Before the first major Syracuse snowfall, clear all leaves and sediment from your outdoor area drains and window wells. Frozen debris can block drainage paths, leading to water pooling against your foundation during the winter thaws.
Winter Pipe Protection: Syracuse winters are notoriously cold. If you have plumbing on exterior walls, keep your cabinet doors open during sub-zero nights. A frozen pipe that thaws too quickly can often dislodge internal scale, leading to an immediate and messy clog.
Average Drain Cleaning Costs in Syracuse, Utah
The cost for drain cleaning in Syracuse typically ranges from $145 for a simple sink or toilet snake to $475 for more intensive main line clearing or hydro-jetting. Factors include the location of the clog, the time of day, and the equipment required.
