Drain Tech Plumbing
255 W 2675 N, Layton, UT 84041, USA
(801) 396-8301We had another great experience with Drain Tech Company. Eli has been to our home before, and once again he exceeded expectations. We were having an issue with our main drain line in the basement leading out to our septic tank. Eli immediately diagnosed the problem and knew exactly what needed to be done. He was friendly, highly knowledgeable, and took the time to explain every step of the process. He offered clear guidance on the best solution, which we approved, and then completed the job efficiently and professionally. What really stood out was his attention to detail and respect for our home. He carefully removed and reinstalled the toilet, laid down towels, and kept everything clean throughout the entire repair. When he finished, everything was working perfectly and the area was spotless. Eli is a true model of excellent customer service. A++ all the way. We highly recommend Drain Tech Company and will absolutely continue to use them in the future.
4 months agoWe would recommend Drain Tech over all the rest! Kylin came out on a Sunday afternoon and was so incredibly knowledgeable and efficient! He not only fixed our problem, but also walked us through everything we can do maintain clear drains and prevent more problems. We will definitely continue using their services in the future.
1 month agoI was recommended Drain Tech after a major national rooter company made a mess of our sewer back up. A local excavator recommended them. My first experience was great. They scoped by sewer line, for a good price, and caught a small but important issue with the repair we'd just had made. Recently had my bathroom sink back up, so of course I called Drain Tech first. Same amazing service. The people at Drain Tech seem more worried about helping people get to the bottom of their issues, and prevent future issues, than they are with making extra money. I have an old house, plumbing issues are part of life. Drain Tech is the only people I'll trust in an emergency.

3 months agoRare Breed Plumbing, Heating, and Air
270 S Main St Ste 113, Bountiful, UT 84010, USA
(801) 252-5888Absolute life savers! My kid just got moved in to a new home and called me up to see if I could work some magic and get someone out there to deal with some backing up drains in his basement right next to his bedroom. I knew Court is out learning new and innovative pipe lining products and services that his team can offer, so I gave the office a buzz. Conna was very professional, kind, careful, and considerate in my emergency situation. She was quickly able to get me on the schedule and had Chandler on his way up to my kid's home in Bountiful immediately. He arrived within 45 minutes of me booking the call which gave me enough time to jet up there from Sandy to make sure he was taken care of and comfortable with a stranger in his home. Chandler was awesome. Very thorough, thoughtful, courteous, and professional. He diagnosed and corrected the issue precisely and carefully while taking time to shoot the breeze and make sure my kid was comfortable, informed, and taken care of through the whole process. I owe you all big time. So incredibly grateful ❤️

(801) 707-4592We have worked with CG Plumbing multiple times. They do a great job and we appreciate their professionalism. They were able to get the hangers installed on the roof drains on our commercial project.

6 months agoWe used CG Plumbing as part of our Basement Finishing project. They installed a full bathroom with tub/shower, toilet, and vanity sink. They installed a new tankless water heater with a recirculating pump. They provided us with a full water softening system and installed the salt tank in our garage to save room and make it easy to fill salt into the tank. They cared enough to recommend this innovative idea to make our lives easier. They installed a kitchen sink, disposal, and refrigerator water line. We are so happy with the quality of work they provided and the friendliness of their employees. I would recommend them 1000 times over!

4 months agoWright's Plumbing and Rooter
477 S 800 E, Clearfield, UT 84015, USA
(801) 662-8786We recently used Wright’s Plumbing & Rooter to help us put a kitchen in our basement, and we could not be happier with the experience. From the very beginning, they were professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. They took the time to answer our questions, explained everything clearly, and made sure the plumbing was done right the first time. The crew showed up when they said they would, kept the work area clean, and paid attention to the details that really matter in a basement kitchen install. Everything works perfectly, and the finished project turned out even better than we hoped. It’s hard to find contractors these days who genuinely care about quality and customer service, but they absolutely delivered on both. We would highly recommend them to anyone needing plumbing work, remodel help, or a new kitchen installation. Thank you again for helping bring our basement kitchen project to life!
1 month agoWe were very pleased with the great job that Wrights Plumbing did for us. Technician, CG, was very courteous and knowledgeable and knew what to do to correct our water pressure problem another issues that we had. Would highly recommend Wright's Plumbing!
1 month agoVery happy with the water heater replacement. Price was fair and similar to other quotes I received. The crew worked quick and kept their workspace clean. They even put down blankets to protect our carpet. Would definitely use them again.
4 months agoMike Bachman Plumbing
549 W 24th St, Ogden, UT 84401, USA
(801) 627-5953We were experiencing an issue with our four year old tankless water heater. The code said it had a venting issue. Before reaching out to a company, I performed some simple tasks to ensure proper venting, but the problem persisted. We would still get hot water; the unit would shutdown/reset intermittently and water would go cold. An annoyance, but still needed to be rectified. As I was looking for a company to call to look at the water heater, I didn’t want to use a “jack of all trades” company due to poor experiences with them professionally. They seemed to be more interested in the upsell than just performing the needed task and preying on the vulnerabilities of customers. When I came across Mike Bachman Plumbing I was excited to see that not only were they just plumbers, but they also specialized in tankless water heaters. I called dispatch who was very friendly. She informed me of the dispatch price and that if the tech needed to do any work that it would be discussed at the appointment. I was also able to secure a next day appointment. I was out of town so my wife was taking care of the appointment. The tech happened to come while she was gone picking up one of our children from school so my older child let the tech in to get started. Shortly after the arrival, I received a phone call from the tech explaining that the dispatch fee was in addition to another fee that was based on the presumed difficulty in troubleshooting the unit. This added about three times the dispatch fee and the tech would not touch the unit until agreement to make this payment was made. Shortly into the conversation my wife returned home and agreed feeling a little trapped since he was already there. The unit was not a brand that this company installs and the tech was up front that he wasn’t familiar with it. He spent the next hour and a half or so performing some of the same simple tasks that I had already done among others and talking on the phone and seeming generally unsure of what to do with the unit. Once, he finished with what he felt like he could do, he indicated he would need to call the manufacturer on a different date and that would cost an hourly rate that may or may not resolve the issue or we could have them install a new tankless water heater. The tech also told us the unit was junk anyway and a new unit would be advisable. Upon the tech leaving I was left with a water heater that now wasn’t working at all with no hope of getting it working, a much larger than expected bill, and a quote for a new unit. I was at a loss for where to go next. I am a fairly mechanical individual so I thought maybe I can replace the unit myself. I researched the water heater they wanted to put in and found it to be a third of what they were going to charge for install. At that point I knew I wasn’t going to use them for installation because they had just turned it the “jack of all trades” type of company and wanted to upsell me. In the end I would never recommend Mike Bachman plumbing due to misleading house call fees, lack of knowledge unless it is familiar equipment, and preying on vulnerabilities of customers. *Update: No call yesterday for anyone who may have been wondering. **Update: I did receive a call the next day and talked with Vic. I explained my experience as described above and he was very nice and apologetic. He worked to make things as right as possible. Doesn’t change what happened, but I can appreciate the integrity of a company willing to own mistakes and strive to make things right for the customer.
3 months agoMike Bachman plumbing came to add some copper plumbing for me to add a water softener system to my home. They showed up on time, listened to what I needed, gave me an upfront accurate quote, and did a great job quickly. They also provided a 1 year warranty on the work they did. Great, quick, excellent service. Will call them again for sure when I need plumbing work done. Thanks for the great service.
6 months agoI had a new Crusader Pro 50,000 grain soft water unit installed today to replace my 26 year old original unit. The work was performed within a day and exactly as expected, for the estimated price and on time. Also had some minor plumbing work done. Everything was done as expected and the team cleaned up. GREAT JOB. Five years ago they also installed our tankless water heater. Life is good with Mike Bachman Plumbing.
2 months agoOtterwise Plumbing and Drain Cleaning
952 28th St Ste C, Ogden, UT 84403, USA
(801) 837-6622Highly Recommend! Carter and his team were phenomenol. They were prompt in getting to me to give an estimate. I received estimates from other companies at about 150% of Otterwise's price. They gave me different options at different price points and didn't pressure me into one over another. When they came to my house for the estimate and then for the scheduled service, they gave me a two hour window for arrival rather than a four or more hour window, and both times, they came very close to the earliest time in that window so I wasn't stuck waiting around for them. The service was great. While they were at it, they did a couple of extra things to improve the situation in my utility room that weren't quoted in the estimate, but they completed without an extra charge. They also found a problem with my water supply into the house which they fixed for me at no extra cost. They were friendly and flexible and communicative, and they did a great job cleaning up after themselves. They were also friendly to my dog. Unless I were ever to discover a problem with the work they completed today (which I highly doubt would happen) I would and will use them in the future and will recommend them to friends and family. This was the least annoyed I've ever been to have to unaviodably shell out a lot of money (which, again, was less than I would have paid to other bigger companies with more overhead costs.
1 month agoCarter and Thomas did an amazing job on my whole house filter and water softener install plus installed a Reverse Osmosis system. Glad they are so thorough because the water pressure regulator was also broken, which would have destroyed the rest of my appliances over time if they didn't find that. There was also some old/poorly done DIY work by the previous owner which he replaced for me under the kitchen sink. Also very thoughtful in giving me a way to isolate or bypass the softener and filter system so if work on those needs to be done in the future we don't have to shut off water to the whole house. I have tons of trust in them and glad I didn't do any of this myself (which I normally would have done). They did a great job on the upgrade, very clean work, and definitely saved me a flood and a few broken appliances down the road. Great guys to use.
2 months agoCarter and Otterwise plumbing were easy and wonderful to work with. He was knowledgeable, honest and very reasonable with what needed to be done to fix the issue. He went above and beyond with fixing an extra impending leak/issue he saw while doing other jobs. Would highly recommend him to anyone with plumbing needs.
3 months agoThe Instant Plumber of Ogden
372 24th St, Ogden, UT 84401, USA
(801) 469-5806My kitchen pipes froze and busted and I had no idea what to do because it wasn’t a small leak. He showed up quick even with it being late in the evening and fixed the problem. Amazing service definitely recommend.

Common Drain Issues in Kaysville, Utah
Mature Tree Root Intrusion: Kaysville is famous for its beautiful, leafy streets and the USU Botanical Center. However, those mature trees have expansive root systems that frequently find their way into older clay sewer lines common in 'Old Town' neighborhoods, causing stubborn, recurring backups.
Hard Water Mineral Scale: Like much of the Wasatch Front, Kaysville residents deal with high mineral content in their water. Over time, calcium and magnesium build up inside your pipes, narrowing the passage and making it easier for hair and soap scum to create a total blockage.
Main Line Clogs in Newer Developments: In the rapidly growing western parts of Kaysville, we often see construction debris or 'flushable' wipes causing issues in main sewer lines. These newer systems require high-pressure hydro-jetting to clear without damaging modern PVC piping.
Kitchen Sink Backups: With Kaysville's family-centric culture and frequent home-cooked meals, kitchen drains take a beating. Heavy grease, starchy food scraps, and vegetable peels from local garden harvests often overwhelm garbage disposals and P-traps.
Seasonal Drain Maintenance Tips for Kaysville, Utah
Spring Thaw Prep: As the snow melts off the Wasatch Mountains, ensure your basement floor drains and sump pumps are clear. Heavy spring runoff can put extra pressure on your home's drainage system.
Harvest Season Disposal Care: During the late summer and fall, Kaysville gardeners are busy canning and prepping local produce. Avoid putting fibrous stalks or excessive fruit pits down your disposal to prevent a mid-harvest backup.
Exterior Drain Clearing: Before the first Davis County freeze in late October, clear all leaves and debris from outdoor area drains and gutter downspouts to prevent ice damming and basement seepage.
Winter Pipe Insulation: During Utah's sub-zero winter nights, sluggish drains are more prone to freezing. Keep your cabinet doors open to let warm air reach the pipes and ensure your main line is cleared of any debris that could snag and freeze.
Average Drain Cleaning Costs in Kaysville, Utah
Pricing in Kaysville typically depends on the location of the clog (secondary line vs. main sewer line) and the equipment required, such as a standard drain snake or professional hydro-jetting.
Frequently Asked Questions about Drain Cleaning in Kaysville, Utah
How quickly can you find a plumber in Kaysville today?
Because we actively call and verify availability among our network of 10 local plumbers, we can typically find a technician who can be at your Kaysville home within 2 to 4 hours of your request.
Do you service both 'Old Town' and West Kaysville zip codes?
Yes, our zip code filtering covers the entirety of Kaysville and surrounding Davis County areas, ensuring we match you with a plumber familiar with both historic plumbing and modern suburban systems.
Are there plumbers available on weekends near the USU Botanical Center area?
Absolutely. We specifically check for 24-hour availability, including weekends and holidays, so you aren't left waiting until Monday for a simple drain emergency.
Does the hard water in Kaysville affect how often I need drain cleaning?
Yes, Utah's hard water contributes to scale buildup. Many Kaysville homeowners find that a professional descale or hydro-jetting every 2-3 years prevents major emergency backups.
How do you verify that the plumber can actually fix my specific issue?
When we call the plumbers in our network, we describe your specific symptoms—like a gurgling toilet or a slow kitchen sink—to ensure they have the right equipment on their truck before we confirm the appointment with you.
