We had a main plumbing line blockage at our property caused by tree roots that had damaged the piping. Spartan Plumbing answered my call late Sunday evening and sent a crew (Nick and Jared) out early Monday morning to take a look. From the start, both Jared and Nick were transparent and thorough in diagnosing the problem. They provided multiple quotes and clear options for moving forward with repairs, making a stressful situation much easier to navigate. The excavation crew (Craig and others) worked quickly and kept us updated each day on their progress. From start to finish, the project took just a few days — Monday through midday Thursday — and now our plumbing is working perfectly again. We’re very grateful for the Spartan team’s professionalism and hard work, and we highly recommend them to anyone dealing with plumbing issues.

Something has changed with Spartan Plumbing in the last couple years. In 2022, we contracted them for a hydro-jet of our main line which was approximately $900. With this, we received prompt service, excellent communication, timeliness, and an overall feeling of good business. Around this time, we also had them install a new water condition and copper piping, which also went well. In 2025... we had an issue with our sewer line and contacted Spartan. We had an appointment scheduled between 8 and 10 AM. That time came and went, no call, no text, no nothing. I called, and received some reason about "things popping up" as to why no one showed. I was also told that they may not get to it that day. I explained that this was unacceptable as we had an appointment. They sent out some very young looking guys around noon, who I later found out were not equipped for drain maintenance so they "assessed" the situation, without actually running any water or doing any tests whatsoever and called back to Spartan HQ. Around 4 PM, they say a team can make it out to our house. They send a team out who looks at our pipe and comes back with a few options. We received a quote for $3000 to perform a hydro-jet service. They agreed to "knock it down" to $2300. They also offered a drain snake service for $450. These prices are about three times higher than the local average. Needless to say, Spartan did not get our business nor will they in the future. Spend your money elsewhere... it seems as though something has changed over in the Spartan back office.

Absolutely awful company to work with. I hired them to come out and find a leak. They gave me an estimate of $18,000 (which I'm now finding is probably twice what I should have paid). They said it was a leaking pipe under my concrete. They jackhammered up my concrete without hanging any plastic up and so my entire house was covered in concrete dust. When they left, they left my front door not only unlocked but wide open (since I had left on their recommendation because of the noise and dust). They also began replacing fixtures and lines in the two toilets and the sinks. They did terrible jobs and had to keep coming back and redoing them. They took out fairly upgraded fixtures and brought in builder basic. In a week there were 16 technicians in my home. 16! And by the time they were finished I had a leaking outdoor spigot, no water to my dishwasher, and a leaking front bathroom toilet. Every time I try to get them out here they want to charge me more money to fix these things. I tried getting a lawyer involved and they refused to answer her calls for 3 weeks so she gave up and didn't bill me (bless her heart). Whatever you do, do not work with these people. They will overcharge you. They will send out incompetent technicians. And then they will refuse fix the work that they left a mess unless you pay them more money.

We have been using Larry for years to help keep our floor drain and main drain free of debris and tree roots. Yesterday he worked us in on short notice to install new shutoff valves on our washing machine. Always impressed with how he takes the time to explain the reasoning behind why he does what he does so you are not blindsided later. Appreciate his fair pricing as well. Highly recommend!

Called to request a technician to snake a downspout drain to find the end of the drain. The drain was ending somewhere in the yard and I was concerned about undermining. They were able to get me an appointment the next day and were very professional and pleasant to speak with. Chris showed up almost at the beginning of his window, listened to my concerns and what I would like done. He got straight to work and was able to verify the internal condition of the drain pipe and locate the end within 30 minutes. The drain was buried by 4 inches of dirt which is why the yard would start pouring out during rain. He removed the excess dirt, ensured the valve was operational, reinstalled the gutter, and cleaned up his area. Great company with great technicians. Will use again and recommend.

I discovered at 7PM that my ejector pump had failed and that my basement was trying to flood from the constant AC drainage. The wonderful folks at Fairborn Plumbing and Drain had our tech replacing the pump before 8:30 the next morning. Pleased with the low cost of repair, we also scheduled replacing our 12+ yr old water heater and a corroded main water valve. The County could not turn off our outside main and the job stretched over 3 days to allow for replacement. We ended up meeting and being educated by four top-notch plumbers over three service calls. Thank you FP&D My household won’t call OR recommend anyone else

Our technician for our water softener install was Stephen. He was extremely polite, professional, and very courteous as well! He did an amazing job installing and then explaining our new system, and he even took time to explain additional options for consideration with zero pressure on us to buy at that time or at all. The install was done cleanly, any messes were cleaned up, and all in all, we are very happy! Highly recommend this company, as it is hard to find honest businesses that aren’t taking advantage of people. Thank you!

While the gentleman that came to the house was very polite and the issue was competently resolved, when my wife set up the appointment she was misled into believing the cost would be 99$ to snake the drain. Upon arrival, we were told it would be 330$ (he did end up giving me 50$ off). I have had the drains snaked in this house before, and it has never cost more than 100$. Once I heard the price, I wanted to call a different company, but then I was on the hook for the 99$ privilege of having the gentleman tell me what I already knew...the line needed snaked. Lesson learned. Go elsewhere. Eco plumbing runs circles around these folks.

I called on a Friday morning and spoke with a nice lady who booked a tech to come out the same day between 12-5 pm to replace our sump pump. I told her we already have the new unit. I asked for a ballpark estimate for labor and she wasn't able to tell me that over the phone, which should have been a red flag. She assured me that rhe tech would look at the situation, give me a quote, and once agreed upon, perform the work right then. So..we waited and Roody showed up a little after 5 (the company did text to let me know he was running behind). He looked at the sump pump pit and determined this basic plumbing repair would take him over an hour to do and he doesn't usually use box store products, but he would do it for us, though he would highly recommend their company's commercial grade system. So he went out to his truck to gather quotes. He came back in and told us It would be $615 to replace the pump. For 1-1.5 hours of labor. Guys this is a plumber. Not an anesthesiologist or lawyer. Do not let this company rip you off. Their commercial grade system was over $3k. Needless to say we declined. Maybe we were naive, but we did not realize corporate companies like this charge significantly more than local plumbers. Lesson learned.

After calling around to several places for a bad drain clog, someone referred us to Hyatt and I am very thankful they did! Being a Saturday, other places were booked out for several days, or charged extremely high weekend fees. Hyatt was able to get a tech out to my house within an hour, and he fixed the issue so quickly and the rate was so much more affordable than the other places. We will definitely be calling Hyatt for any future plumbing issues!

I can’t say enough about Hyatt Plumbing. They have helped me out so many times with my old house and pipes. From unclogging drains, to repairing faucets and toilets. They are my go to. Have had them out on a Saturday and their prices are so reasonable. Very professional and extremely affordable.

I needed both water valves in my downstairs laundry alcove replaced, and I thought it would at least involve cutting the wall open. Hyatt Plumbing told me they should be able to get the valves replaced without cutting the wall and they quoted me a very reasonable price. They did not try to make extra work or charge extra and they did great work. I then asked them if they could help me move my washer from the upstairs alcove to the downstairs alcove they had just fixed. They did not bat an eye and we’re glad to help me. Everything came to the same price they first quoted me. Hyatt Plumbing did a great job at a very reasonable price!

I had a leaky basement and decided to give Dean’s Plumbing a shot. They have great reviews and can handle just about any type of plumbing issue. I had a technician out two hours later to assess the clogged water main as well as an undersize drainage sink. Dartanian the technician, was very professional and gave me several options. The work was completed that day. I will definitely use them again. Update: Another property had similar problems as well as leaky toilets and faucet. Levi J came out within the hour and fixed everything. Another great response with great work.

Cannot say enough great things about my experience with Dean’s Plumbing! Levi Javins was phenomenal. He did a thorough job analyzing the problem and went above and beyond with the customer service. Our water heater started leaking on a Sunday, of course. A friend has used Dean's many times so we looked online and were able to book an appointment for first thing Monday (we had a slow leak and thought we could manage it until regular hours). They called for info and were here within an hour Monday morning. We were pleased with their thorough investigation to get to the root issue. They seem very trustworthy and we are back in business with a new system. THANK YOU Dean's Plumbing for the quick, yet personal attention we received.

Chris came out and did an AWESOME job at our place. We moved in just over a year ago, our house warranty was expired by 2 days, and our system was extremely backed up. Chris, along with two other technicians, came out yesterday, and worked for near 10 hours, qnd then he came out for another 2 today. What should have been nearly a grand in services was cut in half, due to the companys generosity and Chris's eagerness to help. And then today he came out and the insane amount of work he put in, and consequently got out saved us what could have been another 8k of work needing done. As a reminder, please be sure to keep up on the roots in your lines because they really can go crazy in the blink of an eye if you dont!

I hired Wright Choice Plumbing to install a new tankless water heater for me. Chris the company owner came out quickly to do the estimate and I knew there and then he was the guy I wanted to hire. He was extremely knowledgeable and took extensive time to discuss and plan the job with me taking me through all the steps. On install day they arrived as scheduled and knocked out the install in impressive fashion. It was a large job but he got done in one day. I would highly recommend Wright Choice Plumbing for any of your plumbing needs and highly recommend them for a Water heater install. With the tankless heater we know have an unlimited hot water supply. Very satisfied customer.

Called on a Friday evening and Chris was to my house in 30min. He immediately identified the issue and was able to fix it right away. He was kind, knowledgeable, cleaned up when he was done. He also identified a concern regarding a recent water heater installation (not by him), and took the time to write out exactly what the concern was so I could relay it to that company. He also let me know that if they did not cover it under warranty, he would be happy to come out and fix it. I appreciated his expertise.

Chris was so nice and accommodating the entire time. He came by after business hours to examine my problem with my hot water heater. He told me he could be back the first thing the next morning to install the new heater and remove the old one. He called the next morning to assure me he was ready to work if I was ready. He came, worked and cleaned everything up. He was polite, courteous and never used an inappropriate word while working, which spoke volumes about his character. Thank you, Chris. I appreciate you and your work.

Verify Availability Before You Call

Professional Drain Cleaning in Springfield, Ohio

Residents in Springfield, Ohio, know that a clogged drain can turn a peaceful evening near Buck Creek into a household disaster. Whether you’re living in a historic home near Wittenberg University or a newer build closer to the Clark County Fairgrounds, plumbing issues don't wait for a convenient time. That’s why our service is designed to take the guesswork out of finding help in Clark County. We don't just give you a list of names; we actively scan our network of 12 certified Springfield plumbers to find the one closest to your exact zip code.

The best part is our proactive verification process. Instead of you spending your afternoon calling around to see who is actually "on call," we do the legwork for you. We filter for your specific area and call the technicians ourselves to confirm they can handle your specific drain emergency today. This ensures that when we connect you, you’re speaking to a professional who is ready to head to your door immediately, saving you time and stress.

Common Drain Issues in Springfield, Ohio

Hard Water Scale: Springfield's water supply can be quite hard, leading to significant mineral buildup in older pipes. This 'scale' narrows the passage for water and waste, making kitchen sinks and bathroom drains prone to frequent, sluggish performance.

Tree Root Intrusion: In the leafy neighborhoods near Snyder Park, massive silver maples and oaks have root systems that often seek out the moisture in sewer lines. These roots can penetrate clay or cast iron pipes, causing massive backups that require professional snaking or hydro-jetting.

Aging Infrastructure: Many homes in central Springfield feature original plumbing from the early to mid-20th century. These aging galvanized or cast-iron lines are susceptible to corrosion and 'belly' sagging, which traps grease and debris far more easily than modern PVC.

Kitchen Grease Buildup: With a strong community of families, Springfield kitchens see a lot of action. Over time, fats, oils, and grease (FOG) from cooking solidify in the pipes, especially during our cold Ohio winters, leading to stubborn kitchen sink clogs that store-bought cleaners can't touch.

Seasonal Drain Maintenance Tips for Springfield, Ohio

Spring: As the ground thaws and Springfield experiences heavy spring rains, ensure your floor drains are clear. Check your basement floor drains for any backup, as rising water tables can push debris into your home's secondary lines.

Summer: With outdoor entertaining at its peak, be mindful of what goes down the garbage disposal. Avoid fibrous vegetables like corn husks or celery, which are common at local cookouts, as they can tangle in the blades and clog the drain.

Fall: Before the first frost hits Clark County, clear your gutters and check your outdoor drains. Falling leaves can easily wash into yard drains or basement stairwell drains, leading to localized flooding during the next rainstorm.

Winter: Ohio winters are harsh. If your kitchen sink is on an exterior wall, keep the cabinet doors open during cold snaps to allow warm air to reach the pipes. Sluggish drains are more likely to freeze solid when temperatures drop below zero.

Average Drain Cleaning Costs in Springfield, Ohio

$125-$350

Prices in Springfield typically vary based on the severity of the clog and the equipment required. A simple snake job for a bathroom sink is on the lower end, while main sewer line cleaning or hydro-jetting to remove tree roots will fall on the higher end of the spectrum.
