Expert Drain Cleaning in Tacoma, Washington

I called around at local chains and searched some local neighborhood groups. I ran across Scottco referrals in multiple locations from real people. I always prefer to try and go with a local small business when possible. Scottco had a fair quote, did quality work, and were very easy to deal with. They were able to restore my homes water pressure and replace the water heater. Scott was friendly and laid back. We exchanged a few phone calls and Scott was able to stop by the same evening. He diagnosed the issue with our recent major decrease in water pressure. After working on things for about 45 minutes he was able to get our pressure working albeit still very reduced. He informed us that unfortunately, there was no easy fix. A combination of an old/failing water heater, and a clog in our bathtub/shower valve were greatly reducing our water pressure. He offered a reasonable quote and didn't try to upcharge us with 100 different issues we may or may not have had. He told me to get some more quotes and let him know if we wanted to schedule. I called a few other chain plumbing joints but they all wanted to charge fees to offer a quote or ultimately had horrendous reviews about high pressure tactics and upselling random unnecessary fixes. I wasn't comfortable with any of the places that were able to come out in a reasonable amount of time. While not technically an emergency we couldn't go without our bathroom for an extended amount of time. We have a small home and a single bathroom, so we decided to schedule the service with Scottco to get it restored to working ASAP. Scott and Alex gave us a heads up and arrived the morning of the repair. They both worked on the issue and were able to get the two stated issues addressed. I mostly stay out of the way but they showed me things as they were working on them. Scott was entirely correct on his assessment. The replacement in-wall shower diverter valve, new water heater, and flushing with our homes ancient pipes was able to restore our water pressure to ludicrous levels. We also have instant hot water which has never been something we've experienced before. The shower pressure is the highest we've ever had at the house. We have to keep the knobs down a bit because of how well it flows now. All around it was a fantastic experience. Fair quote, no high-pressure upsell crap, and honest quality work. I've already referred Scott to a family member, and we have put his business card and cell phone contact into our phones. We will happily use him again with any future plumbing needs.

Had a very slow drain issue in the bathroom. I called my home warranty twice to try to fix the problem and it never got fixed. I finally call Scottco plumbing on my own and Scott was great. It took Scott about 20 minutes or less to fix the issue and explain what was wrong. Scott also gave us tips and suggestions to use for future maintenance.

I live in an older home which means older pipes and plumbing issues, which I continually have. I have called other companies to come out and snake or unplug the lines which only worked for a short time, and were very costly. On a Monday morning very early I have a clogged toilet. I had been having back up issues when doing laundry and the bathroom sink would not drain at all, so now I have a serious problem. My neighbor has given me the name and phone # for Scottco, I called and Scott he answered, I told him my problem and he was at the house by 8:15. After reviewing my situation he gave me some options and pricing and his opinion which totally made since for an longer lasting outcome. There where some things to be moved and cement to be broken prior to starting, he could get to it the next day. I agreed to move forward. I went home on my lunch hour he had moved everything and was knee deep fixing my pipes. I know this is a long story, however it needs to be told. By the time I got home everything was working perfectly.. I have never had the water pressure like I do now!! No clogs, no back ups anywhere every works GREAT!! Scott is so hardworking and knowledgeable about plumbing and just a really nice guy, I would highly recommend him..he will be my plumber for life!! Thanks Scott??

Dan shows up on time and gets the job done right, even when it's really complex. I was buying a new house and the home inspector found the sewer was bad, told me to call Dan at Steady Flow. Dan fit me in for an emergency estimate Saturday morning and quickly confirmed the sewer line was broken and eroding the foundation. Dan quickly fixed the break, ended up excavating much of the basement to fix several more issues, and finally discovered a slope issue with the side sewer responsible for the problems. Dan was able to resolve the issue, now our sewer flows up hill to the sewer main! I called Dan back when another inspector found a "minor" blockage in the sewer at our old house. Turns out we had multiple broken sections in the side sewer. He was able to fit me in for another significant sewer repair, with multiple excavations and nuflow lining completed on a very tight timeline.

We are so pleased with the work Steady Flow recently completed. Our 60 year old sewage line was infested with roots and stopped draining well, causing overflows in our washing machine and clogging in the laundry toilet. SF identified the problem, showed us the inside of the lines with a plumbing camera, proposed solutions, gave us a bid, revised that bid lower when they discovered the pipe was shorter than expected. The crew that did the work was very professional and had great communication. They followed the timeline. A paver finished the job and our back patio looks better than before. Most important, the washer drains great! We look forward to replumbing a bathroom and a few other projects with Steady Flow. Highly recommended.

The bathtub drain clogged repeatedly over time. A technician cleared deep buildup inside the pipe. Water drains freely now. The line was inspected. I’m confident the problem is resolved.

Emergency septic assistance, if you've been in this situation before, then you know! Harmon was our first point of contact, was very upbeat, knowledgeable, understanding, and helpful. He was able to get us help right away. Devin gave us a call with an ETA, definitely calming our nerves, and showed up with Justin when promised. These guys were awesome. They answered all questions, taking the time to explain everything, were patient, and of course solved our issue. I can't say enough about our overall experience, except to say they have just earned a lifetime customer.

Had an issue with water in my crawl space. Bob and Angel came out, prepared the crawl space and installed a sump pump. Did an excellent job. Bob reached out to me a day later to make sure all was good with the job. He asked to come out for a follow up as he wanted to make sure one of the pipe brackets was securely fastened. Really appreciate his expertise and patience in answering all questions. Communication from first contact with Drain Pro to job completion was great.

Harman and Brandon performed a Christmas miracle and helped us with out backed up septic system. They were super friendly and knowledgeable. We really appreciate someone willing to not only come out on Christmas DAY but to also have a great attitude and have a willing attitude to get the job done no matter what. Carlos and Rooter Tech replaced my main sewer line. They were very professional,knowledgeable and clean. They did a tremendous job and I am impressed of how Carlos runs his business. This is nice to see. I would 100 percent recommend Rooter Tech to anyone that needs their sewer line replaced.

They were very responsive when we called. They came the next day to do an estimate but were ready to tackle the project right then. Carlos and team did a great job to the best of their ability with what they had to work with on our gutter drains that were pretty full of tiny roots and debris.. they got the majority of it out and things working properly again. Absolutely a great company to work with. Would highly recommend them.

Carlos and crew were amazing. One of three bids we got for some work we knew needed to be done once we got the keys to our new house. They were able to take a previous quote and make the project even more than what we were hoping for and did more than the first big name company quoted us for. I always love supporting owner-operated businesses and this is no exception. His guys were in and out and cleaned up everything afterwards and walked me through everything that was worked on and made sure I was confident in the work order being fulfilled. Replaced 20+ feet of old pipes and incorrectly sized drain pipes and created a whole new draining system for our washer in the basement! Plumbing - repairs are way beyond our DYI, so we called American Plumbing; our neighbors had used their company and we wanted trustworthy. OK that was an easy fix for a hairball problem (greaseball!) In the kitchen drain. Lee was our quick (same day!) plumber who did his magic and dispatched the clog in very short order. AND helped troubleshoot another drain issue - yay! Aerin was a God sent. Able to assess and problem solve my issue stacking a dryer on top of washer and installing it in a very tight space. Special parts needed but fair price for all his hard work. So strong, knowledgeable and very professional. I was impressed!

Highly recommend. Aaron was professional, extremely helpful, and an excellent problem solver. He offered tutorials while he worked so that I not only understood what was being done and why, but also so that I could have a better chance at completing the work myself in the future. He came for one job and ended up doing two as he found a secondary issue in the area being worked on. He tested everything to ensure it functioned properly without leaks. It was a job very well done and I’ll be calling American Plumbing again when the other outdated plumbing parts of my home inevitably give out.

Great install on a hard plumbing situation with a freestanding tub. They worked efficiently on best solution on adjusting plumbing for it. Moved shower drain ,Installed fixtures, reset toilet and replaced supply shut offs. Great guys to work with, very conscientious and honest workers!!

In Summer, my kitchen sink was badly blocked, and another plumbing company came twice but still couldn’t fix the issue. They suggested using hydro power flushing, but said I would need to wait until their machine was available. I then contacted Thang and asked if he had the machine. He was honest and said he didn’t, but offered to come take a look and give it a try. He told me clearly that if he couldn’t fix it, there would be no charge. If he could, he gave me a very reasonable quote upfront. Thang and his crew arrived within two hours and started working immediately. They tried a couple of different methods and successfully fixed the problem. What really impressed me was their attention to detail—not only did they fix the issue, but they protected my cabinets and floor with towels and cloths and cleaned everything up afterward. This was completely different from the previous plumbing company, which left a mess and didn’t solve the problem. Thang and his team were professional, efficient, and respectful. I highly recommend them.

We had an issue where water from faucet cold tap was hot and the floor near kitchen was warm. Thang and his crew came and did some inspections and quickly found out the hot water pipe was leaking. He gave us reasonable quotes and was able to get it fixed within a week. It was great to work with them as they were professional, skilled and always kept us updated throughout the whole process. We found out our faucets for our washing machine were leaking when we attempted to shut it off to remove it. We reached out to Pike Plumbing and Sewer after 5 pm, and still got a response, and were able to schedule next day. Anthony showed up on time and knocked the work out quickly, and was on his way before I could even begin to stress it!

Anthony arrived on time after texting me with his ETA. He installed a kitchen faucet and garbage disposal in a very timely, efficient and friendly manner. He had to make an alteration to the drain pipe from the sink to the new disposal but quickly figured it out and it looks and performs perfectly. I had one of the “Big Guys” in for an estimate and it was outrageous. Pike is a small local company that provided exactly what I needed for a very fair price. They have earned my future plumbing business!

What an excellent company! Raptor Plumbing did an exceptional job with our whole house repipe. They replaced all our water and drain lines, hose bibs and connection hardware at a reasonable cost and timeline. Jason and Roy are kind, professional, and accommodating.
