Top Rated Plumbers in Federal Way, Washington
Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup
4508 NE 4th St A, Renton, WA 98059, USA
(425) 507-9522⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had an excellent experience with Roto-Rooter. I had a major plumbing issue with a clogged sewer line, and their team responded quickly and professionally. They not only cleared the blockage but also installed a new sewer clean-out to help prevent future problems. They also handled water mitigation in two bathrooms and my kitchen after the backup. The entire crew — Gio, Marcel, Ron, and Nelson — were fantastic. They were knowledgeable, efficient, and took the time to explain what they were doing throughout the process. This was my first experience filing a homeowners insurance claim, and they were incredibly helpful in guiding me through the process and explaining what to expect. That support made a stressful situation much easier to manage. What could have been a very overwhelming experience was made much easier thanks to their professionalism, teamwork, and great customer service. They worked hard to make sure everything was cleaned up and restored. I truly appreciate the thorough work and peace of mind they provided. Highly recommend!
2 months agoI’ve had roots in my main line for years, and Gio Gradinaru from Roto‑Rooter has helped me three times over the past six years. He always shows me before and after videos, explains everything clearly, and does excellent work. He even calls every two years to remind me when maintenance is due so I can avoid another flood. Outstanding service and reliability.
2 months agoGiovanni performed follow on camera work after a sewer line clean out the night before. He was on time and very clear with appointment timing. He was very helpful with explaining the process, and describing what he was seeing. His work was thorough and we discussed all potential options for future work. Very happy with the outcome of the appointment
2 months agoSteady Flow Sewer & Drain Co
3410 SW 320th St Unit A, Federal Way, WA 98023, USA
(206) 809-8130Dan shows up on time and gets the job done right, even when it's really complex. I was buying a new house and the home inspector found the sewer was bad, told me to call Dan at Steady Flow. Dan fit me in for an emergency estimate Saturday morning and quickly confirmed the sewer line was broken and eroding the foundation. Dan quickly fixed the break, ended up excavating much of the basement to fix several more issues, and finally discovered a slope issue with the side sewer responsible for the problems. Dan was able to resolve the issue, now our sewer flows up hill to the sewer main! I called Dan back when another inspector found a "minor" blockage in the sewer at our old house. Turns out we had multiple broken sections in the side sewer. He was able to fit me in for another significant sewer repair, with multiple excavations and nuflow lining completed on a very tight timeline.
8 months agoDaniel does an exceptional job for us and has worked on several complex projects for our clients. He is our go-to for all sewer concerns. Kathryn Kleber, Managing Broker, Keller Williams Team RED
2 months agoTruly efficient team that went the extra mile to help our entire condo community with some much needed plumbing repairs! And they were able to add an expansion tank to my existing water heater in a very small cramped space. Very satisfied with the work, price and response time. Will use them again for sure!
8 months agoMr. Rooter Plumbing of Seattle
2000 S 116th St, Seattle, WA 98168, USA
(206) 866-2836A sewer pipe burst on a holiday weekend at my mother’s house. Mr. Rooter came out right away and had their team working from start to finish. They cleaned everything up and fixed the problem. They were all very professional and kind. I highly recommend this company. They explained everything with clarity and gave us options. I hope I don’t leave anyone out, Ken, Atama, Arvind, Solo, Brian and Suk, I can’t thank you enough!
2 months agoMr. Rooter to the rescue! We have been loyal Mr. Rooter customers for plumbing needs at two properties. They are always polite, quick, and know how to get the job done. We have also found their pricing to be fair and scheduling is a breeze. This week we had Daniel and his team (Pablo and Latrell) out to our home to hydro scrub our side sewer in preparation for a home sale. The crew was quick, left our back yard clean and tidy, and they provided a video recording and images of their work for us to give to our realtor. Daniel was available via text as well, which made communication easy. 10/10 would hire again!
4 months agoDo you ever have one of those experiences with a Company that blows you away. I had a kitchen drain back up and I filled out a couple of service requests with some well know companies. I won't mention names but after tonight it's "Bye Bob". Anyway. Mr. Rooter called me right back and said same day between 4pm-7PM. Shaquille showed up at 5 and went right to work. Every company needs someone like Shaquille. Smart, courteous, explained everything he was doing. He was careful about not making a mess and really cleaned up after himself. I wish every service call from any company had a Shaquille. When he left both my wife and I were smiling. She had her kitchen back and I witnessed a 5 star service call. Thank you Mr. Rooter and thank you Shaquille.
4 months agoNorth Hill Sewer and Drain
741 S 197th St, Des Moines, WA 98148, USA
(206) 202-3280Our old bathroom sink was cracked & really much too big for our small bathroom. We purchased the desired pedestal sink from Home Depot & had it delivered. North Hill Sewer & Drain was our plumbing service of choice & they again delivered with skill & integrity. Matt D. arrived on time, assessed the work required & gave us a fair estimate. He went right to work & we're extremely happy (again!) with the results. I HIGHLY recommend this fine local company for all of your plumbing needs. Thank you Matt & North Hill Sewer & Drain!
3 months agoWarren and Rick both showed up on a Sunday after Christmas to access the problem we were having. They walked me through the situation every step of the way and were very straightforward and transparent when it came to the evaluation and the costs. We couldn’t be more pleased with the service they provided. We would definitely recommend and use Northhill Sewer and Drain again. It’s nice that they are located in neighborhood and so close as well.
4 months agoExceptional service by the North Hill Plumbing. They have done so many projects for me, from shower renovation, toilet resets, flange replacements, and even whole house re-pipe. They pulled permits, they dealt with the city. They provided cost saving measures and always answered my questions. Trusted, professional, reliable. 5 stars.
7 months agoEastside Plumbing, Sewer, Septic, Electric, Heating & Air - Issaquah
55 1st Ave NW, Issaquah, WA 98027, USA
(425) 644-3517It was a delight to work with Dave! We were able to schedule an appt with him pretty quickly after our initial call. He evaluated both our shower and sink drain and gave us solid advice on how to resolve pooling water. He fixed the sink quickly and efficiently and I’m thrilled with the results as this has been a project on my “to do” list for quite some time. Would definitely call this business and Dave again!
2 years agoDave was awesome and friendly. Super easy to work with. We showed him that some of our drains were gurgling. He knew right away based on the symptoms what was going on and gave us three options based on our houses pipe material. ~$400 for the job to clear a clog deeper within our pipes in the shower and it solved the issue!
2 years agoExceptional responsiveness, communication, and professionalism. Dave was punctual, helpful, friendly, and overall very thoughtful in his assessment. He walked me through the various issues and options with our home’s pipework and provided several options for paths forward. I will absolutely be calling Dave again. 💯
1 year agoFox Plumbing, Heating & Cooling (now a Gene Johnson company)
855 S 192nd St Suite 900, SeaTac, WA 98148, USA
(206) 654-4990I do not recommend Fox/Gene Johnson. Companies like this are ruining the home services business--highly suggest finding a fair, small alternative service provider instead. I used because my former Fox tech (Mike) would come out same day, super knowledgable, quick fix. Today's experience was the tech showed up, clearly not familiar with my older system (which are very simple compared to modern boilers), quoted $650 diagnosis fee (this was never communicated when booking the trip), was able to talk down to $250 but said I had to pay list price for any potential fix. The price book he showed be didn't show a rate under $1K (none of which was a simple sensor cleaning or replacement which is likely). As much as I want to fix the problem, I can't work with companies price gouging like this. Also, they charged me $852 to snake a drain last time they came out--insane! I should have learned by lesson the last time, shame on me. Some people get in a pinch and need to pay these excessive fees but I just want everyone to know my experience.
4 months agoHugo Lira was excellent with his communication about his arrival time and Gene Johnson emailed me a link to for the location tracker of the vehicle so I could see how far he was, which was a cool feature. Hugo is a really personable, knowledgeable, and an efficient plumber, and I will recommend him to anyone who has plumbing needs. He offered me different options to fix my toilet, and I decided to go with a full toilet replacement which included the shut-off valve replacement which I really needed. I was curious to learn about what needed to be done and he was very welcoming to allow me to watch the process and explained what he was doing very clearly. He showed me where my main shut off valve was, which was necessary as my toilet shut-off valve could not be turned off completely. He then replaced that valve and I understand the theory behind it, but I would not have been able to do it myself in practice. Ask for Hugo if you need anything fixed! (see the before and after photos)
1 year agoWe needed to contact a plumber in a hurry as our water heater failed and leaked water all over our lower level. As it is a busy time of year - the first appointment wasn't available until 4 days from the time of incident. After communicating with the sales person our situation, they were able to work with a technician who was able to work a bit longer over the weekend to assist us in getting our heater replaced in a more timely manner. Pavel Murashev was our technician and he arrived promptly and was extremely professional the entire time. He was able to save us some money, based upon our ultimate needs and future requirements. Within a few hours, we were completely back up with hot water, with a system that was far superior than what we had previously, and a guarantee for 10 years. In addition, Pavel showed us how to use the system and perform homeowner maintenance on the unit to help prolong the life of the water heater. He left the space clean and was pleasant to work with. It was an excellent experience and one that I would recommend to anyone - urgently or even scheduled maintenance.
1 year agoHarold's Plumbing
124 W Main St, Auburn, WA 98001, USA
(253) 833-2330Had what we thought was a sewer gas issue and called around. Harold’s sent a guy out who not only knew the real issue immediately, he estimated what other plumbers wanted just for the test process, saved us from knocking down walls, AND came in below the estimate! He even called the next day to make confirm the fix again! We will definitely be recommending them to others, and reaching out when we get around to bathroom remodels. Great service.
6 months agoThank You HaroldsPlumbing !! , walked in w a smallish issue w a drain repair on an older home and they not only took the time to explain how to fix it they had a part ready when i came back ! Most places wont turn down a possible 1000 dollar job however relatively small. Harolds has integrity and im glad to have them in Auburn
4 months agoHarold's fixed my shower drain. They were quick to respond, friendly and did a great job for a great price. I would strongly recommend them to anyone looking for plumbing services.
8 months agoThe Plumbing Joint Inc.
351 Union Ave NE, Renton, WA 98059, USA
(425) 629-8430Jason Wickre was wonderful!!!! Extremely knowledgeable and professional. What we were hoping was a simple job turned into quite a project. Jason was able to get everything fixed and no more leaks!!! We have called The Plumbing Joint several times, from simple plugged toilet to repairing/ replacing our major sewer drain in our back yard. They are the best!!! Margie and Dick Lindberg, Seattle
4 months agoThe Plumbing Joint has been my go-to for 40 years at two different home locations. This time it was a leak in the water main which was bubbling up to the surface. My neighbors and I had dug down the 5 feet to the leaking water line, so only the repair was needed. Ashley, who received my call, was very helpful and positive. She promised that as soon as someone was available they would head my way. Cason arrived within about an hour! He analyze the situation and got to work, avoiding the electrical line, cable and fiber optic lines, and completing it in a reasonable time frame. It was raining, so the soil was saturated, mucky and slippery, but Cason maintained a positive and friendly attitude throughout. The Plumbing Joint is quickly responsive and thorough. I will continue to use and recommend them!
3 months agoWe have been long time satisfied customers using The Plumbing Joint. Cason was our last plumber. He was professional, knowledgeable, and did a great job taking solving our needs of a plumber. I would highly recommend him.
2 months agoRaptor Plumbing & Sewer
636 Railroad Ave S, Kent, WA 98032, USA
(206) 775-6882What an excellent company! Raptor Plumbing did an exceptional job with our whole house repipe. They replaced all our water and drain lines, hose bibs and connection hardware at a reasonable cost and timeline. Jason and Roy are kind, professional, and accommodating. They provided solutions for things that needed fixing but were technically out of scope for this project. Graydon is also a pleasure and does a great job scheduling and with follow up details. We highly recommend them and will use them for all our plumbing needs in the future. Thanks, guys, for helping us stay grounded in a time of very high stress. We appreciate you! - Michele B
6 months agoWe have used Raptor Plumbing for several projects since moving to the area. They repaired an outdoor faucet and installed new shut off valves. They fixed a toilet in the bathroom that was squealing. They replaced another toilet valve that kept giving us trouble and installed a new kitchen faucet I could not get to myself. Months later they even came back to fix a small drip under warranty, even though it was unclear whether it related to the original work. Every visit felt professional and thorough. Easy scheduling. Clear communication. Strong workmanship. I would recommend them without hesitation.
3 months agoRaptor Plumbing did an awesome job replacing our Tankless Water Heater. Jason and his crew work fast and efficient. I’d highly recommend them for any future plumbing work.
2 months ago2 Sons Plumbing, Sewer, Heating & Air
106 Frontage Rd N, Pacific, WA 98047, USA
(253) 281-4754Brandon B. Did a phenomenal job explaining why my old water heater (white) was failing. He was patient and gave great customer service providing us with options/recommendations for repair and financing. It turned out my 25 year old water heater should have been replaced long ago and was now becoming a safety hazard. I decided to go with a new water heater and installation. Even though it was bit pricey, I understand in the times that we live in WA are expensive. Brandon B. Was very professional and completed the work very quickly. He was very reliable and courteous in answering all of our questions. We need more technicians like Brandon B. And if his boss is reading this, the man deserves a raise or extra PTO hours. I want to thank 2 Sons and Brandon B. for their services.
3 months agoNeeded my Hot Water Heater replaced and contacted 2 Sons Plumbing. Got a real person who was very helpful and had a team headed my way that afternoon to evaluate and give me a bid. The 2 person team led by their tech Brandon checked out my current installation and gave me a bid to replace my 15 year old non functioning water heater. They actually had the hot water heater I wanted on their truck and by the end of the day I had a new hot water heater installed. There was quite a bit of extra work to bring the installation up to current code. They were friendly, fast and efficient. Nice job. Thanks guys!
5 months agoI had a great experience with 2 Sons Plumbing. They came out urgently when we needed help, which immediately put us at ease. We had a competing quote that recommended replacing the entire toilet for nearly $2,000. However, the team at 2 Sons Plumbing took a much more pragmatic approach. With the right triaging and their clear experience, they were able to fix the issue at a fraction of the cost instead of pushing for an unnecessary replacement. It was clear they truly understand their craft and prioritize doing what’s right for the customer. They are experts, reliable, and communicated tightly throughout the entire process. I highly recommend 2 Sons Plumbing if you’re looking for honest, skilled professionals.

Common Drain Issues in Federal Way, Washington
Tree Root Intrusion: Federal Way is famous for its lush greenery and towering Douglas firs. While beautiful, these trees have aggressive root systems that seek out moisture in older sewer lines, especially in established neighborhoods like Twin Lakes and Marine Hills.
Grease Buildup from Home Cooking: With a high density of residential homes and families enjoying home-cooked meals, kitchen sink clogs are a frequent issue. The cool Pacific Northwest temperatures can cause fats and oils to solidify quickly in your pipes, leading to stubborn blockages.
Aging Infrastructure: Many homes built during the mid-century expansion of South King County still utilize original cast iron or clay pipes. These materials are prone to scaling and interior corrosion, which catches hair and debris more easily than modern PVC piping.
Rainwater Sewer Overload: Federal Way receives significant annual rainfall. If your perimeter drains or downspouts are improperly connected to your sanitary sewer system, heavy King County storms can overwhelm your lines, causing messy backups in basement floor drains.
Seasonal Drain Maintenance Tips for Federal Way, Washington
Fall Leaf Clearing: Before the heavy November rains arrive, ensure your outdoor area drains and gutter downspouts are clear of fallen needles and leaves to prevent localized flooding near your foundation.
Winter Pipe Insulation: While our climate is temperate, occasional cold snaps can freeze pipes in crawlspaces. Insulate exposed pipes to prevent bursts that can lead to major debris clogs when the ice thaws.
Spring Root Maintenance: As local vegetation wakes up in the spring, consider a preventative hydro-jetting service if you live in a heavily wooded part of Federal Way to clear out any small roots before they become a major blockage.
Summer Guest Prep: With kids home from school and summer visitors enjoying the PNW, your guest bathroom will see extra use. Remind everyone that only toilet paper should be flushed to avoid emergency summer backups during your BBQ season.
Average Drain Cleaning Costs in Federal Way, Washington
Pricing in Federal Way varies based on the severity of the clog and the equipment required. A simple snake service for a single drain is typically on the lower end, while main sewer line clearing or hydro-jetting reflects the higher end of the scale.
