Arrow Sewer and Drain
165 Union Ave, Middlesex, NJ 08846, USA
(908) 274-0382Had the pleasure of speaking with Amira in the office before meeting Almin, the technician, and both were incredibly kind, patient, and professional. Almin took the time to clearly explain my options and walked me through the scope of work needed to repair the line, which I truly appreciated. Based on today’s experience alone, I would absolutely recommend Arrow Sewer and Drain
4 months agoI use them to excavate my front lawn and repair the sewer line. They were very professional, worked extremely well, and left the front lawn in very good condition. I would definitely recommend them for any service that they offer.
5 months agoAlmin was quick to respond and did an excellent job unclogging my main sewer line. He took the time to explain the possible causes and shared several long-term solutions, as this issue could happen again due to my old pipelines. I really appreciate his honesty, expertise, and practical advice. Thanks to his clear explanation, I now plan to move forward with the pipe bursting method to replace the old pipes. Highly recommend Almin and Arrow Sewer and Drain for their professionalism and quality service
3 months agoEdison Sewer & Drain Service
118 Mckinnon St, Piscataway, NJ 08854, USA
(908) 417-3246I called Edison Sewer & Drain to come out and take a look at my main sewer line in my crawl space. The part that was above ground was cracking and the plan was to cut that entire above ground portion off (about 8ft of cast iron pipe) and replace with PVC and connect at the old line. Mind you I did get 3 other quotes and this company came in at the best price and just most personable and explained everything that they were gonna do. Ariel was the first interaction I had with he estimate and scope of work. He was awesome! Cristian was the one who actually came and did the job when everything was said and done. Cristian honestly was amazing, he showed up to do the job that I had gotten the estimate for, but of course due to my house being old, things did not go according to plan. After he finished installing all the PVC and went to test for leaks, of course the pipe was leaking at the connection site. Turns out the cast iron pipe going into the ground was too brittle and was cracking creating the leak at the connection site. Cristian got on the phone right away and was able to give me prices for excavation. Mind you my crawl space is incapsulated so I was worried about the encapsulation also getting damaged with the work that now needed to be done. They cut back the encapsulation neatly to make it easier to seal back up when they finished. They dug out my crawl space, removed brick and Cristian went to connect below ground and of course the pipe continued to break no matter how hard he tried with cutting it back. The pipe underground was honestly more brittle and the water had to stay off over night because it was leaking severely. The project now needed to go about 10ft outside the home to expose the drain and remove all the cast iron. He got on the phone right away called for emergency permits and cleared there busy schedule the next day to squeeze in the massive project this now turned into. He was also able to work with me on the price considering the situation. He kept me in the loop the entire time showing me what was happening and taking photos for me. Crew arrived on site at 8:30 am, dug out a massive trench, 3ft deep. Cristian was able to remove all the cast iron piping and make a dry connection. Once everything was determined to have no leaks. The crew filled the hole outside and in my crawl space and put my encapsulation back almost perfectly. They probably finished around 2-3. I'm so glad I contacted them and appreciate how attentive Cristian was throughout the entire process. I will definitely be hiring them again for future plumbing work!
8 months agoI had a severely clogged kitchen sink and called Edison Sewer & Drain Services for help. After inspecting the issue, they discovered the original galvanized pipe from the 1960s was completely clogged with grease, so snaking alone wouldn’t solve it. They clearly explained the situation and recommended replacing the pipe with PVC. They returned the very next afternoon, offered a great price, and delivered outstanding results. The work was done professionally and efficiently. Christian was knowledgeable, courteous, and truly professional. If you’re looking for quality plumbing work done right, I highly recommend this company. They will definitely be my go-to plumber moving forward.
3 months agoI had two separate sewer service jobs done by Edison Sewer & Drain Service, and I honestly can’t say enough good things about them. First of all, the owner is very honest and truly willing to go the extra mile to get the job done right. He treats customers like friends, not just another invoice. 1st job: We had a sewer line backup late at night. The owner explained everything clearly and suggested removing the house trap to improve flow, since toilet paper was taking too long to dissolve. His team stayed and worked until the issue was fixed the same night, so my family could shower again. That alone meant a lot to us. 2nd job: About two weeks later, the sewer backed up again. This time, it turned out there was heavy root buildup from nearby trees. He did his best to clean it out, but when it still wasn’t good enough, he honestly recommended hydro jetting instead of pushing a quick fix. He even showed me a video afterward so I could see how clean the line was. Final result: I love how this company treats customers—with respect, transparency, and trust. You can tell they genuinely care about doing the right thing, not just making money. If you’re looking for a sewer and drain company that’s reliable, hardworking, and honest, I highly recommend Edison Sewer & Drain Service.
3 months agoSabra Drain & Sewer
307 S Michigan Ave, Kenilworth, NJ 07033, USA
(973) 715-9422Rockledge has worked with Sabra drain for years. The owner is Junior and he is excellent. We own buildings in New Jersey and whenever we’ve had any kind of major plumbing job we always call them. They are responsive and professional and capable and while they are not cheap, they are also not unreasonably priced.
4 months agoI had a backed-up toilet late at night and called Sabra Drain & Sewer based on a recommendation, and I’m glad I did. They were responsive, even at that time of night, and had someone out to my house quickly. The technician was professional, explained what was going on, and got the job done efficiently. What really stood out was that they didn’t try to upsell me on anything unnecessary—the pricing was fair and upfront. They even made sure everything was clean before they left. I wouldn’t hesitate to call them again if I ever needed.
1 year agoSo happy with how pleasant & efficient technician Kenneth was with cleaning out my kitchen drain today. I would highly recommend Sabra Drain & Sewer.
7 months agoDalton Plumbing & Repair
1030 St Georges Ave suite 429, Avenel, NJ 07001, USA
(732) 554-2781George Lopez from City Plumbing is the man! He is honest, upfront, and tells you the situation regardless of gaining your business or not. I had a clogged drain line in my kitchen for weeks I failed to fix. He came in and got my line back up and running. I picked his brain for his professional option on my new house. He gave me the cold hard truth about my system, but it was good to know. My home warranty covered me, less my deductible, so the cost was excellent. I asked him for a follow up quote for more work, which he did. George is a great guy to talk to, shoot the breeze, and is very personable. I respect professional men like George. Because of his work ethic, honesty, and pleasant demeanor I will be calling City Plumbing again. FYI if you are going to buy a home call this guy out before you sign for the house. He can tell you what the plumbing system is missing and will need once you move in. Give these a shot.
7 months agoDave is the best in what he does. Over the years, I've had to have several companies remove clay pipes from an older house. Dave is the best. I knew I would call him the next time he came to my house. It was only two weeks later that I found out! The work is done well and at a reasonable price. Highly recommended.

3 years agoRon and his crew are true professionals, I recently hired them on a Comercial sewer line replacement that ended at the curb, we decided to have it lined from the curb to the township sewer line connection. To avoid future back ups and a hefty cost of having to excavate to replace it we had it lined. The job came out perfect, I will be using them on future projects. Thanks again Ron

3 months agoRamon did an excellent job installing our new sump pump. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and responsive. He was able to accommodate an emergency service call when our old pump broke and started burning, which we truly appreciated. Additionally, there was an issue with the sump pump discharge line outside. He attempted to clear it but discovered the line was broken somewhere underground. As a temporary solution, he was able to reroute the pipe above ground so the system could continue draining properly. Everything was handled efficiently and with care. Highly recommend his services.

4 months agoProfessional Drain Cleaning in New Brunswick, New Jersey
New Brunswick is the vibrant heart of Middlesex County, serving as both a historic residential hub and a bustling center for Rutgers University. With a mix of colonial-era homes near the Raritan River and modern high-rises downtown, the local plumbing infrastructure is incredibly diverse. When a drain backs up in the Hub City, you shouldn't have to waste time calling a dozen different companies only to find out they are booked for the week.
Our service revolutionizes how New Brunswick residents find help. We maintain a curated network of local, certified plumbing experts and use a sophisticated zip-code filtering system to find the pros closest to your door. Most importantly, we do the legwork for you—calling to verify that a technician is available to solve your specific issue today. Common Drain Issues in New Brunswick, New Jersey
Historic Infrastructure Challenges: Many older residences in the historic sections of New Brunswick feature aging clay or cast-iron pipes. Over time, these materials become brittle and are highly susceptible to invasive tree roots from the city's mature canopy, leading to frequent and severe main sewer line blockages.
High-Density Rental Usage: With a large student population and high-turnover rental units, drains in New Brunswick often face heavy loads. Grease, hair, and 'flushable' wipes are common culprits that lead to stubborn clogs in multi-family housing, requiring professional-grade snaking or hydro-jetting to fully clear.
Raritan River Proximity: For properties located in the lower-lying areas near the river, heavy New Jersey rainstorms can cause groundwater surges. This often pushes silt and debris into exterior drainage systems and sump pump lines, leading to slow drainage and potential basement flooding if not maintained.
Commercial Kitchen Demands: As a premier dining destination in Central Jersey, New Brunswick's restaurants face intense pressure on their drainage systems. Grease trap overflows and floor drain backups can halt business, making our rapid availability verification essential for local business owners.
Seasonal Drain Maintenance Tips for New Brunswick, New Jersey
Spring Thaw and Rain: As the ground thaws in Middlesex County, check your basement floor drains and sump pumps. Heavy spring rains can overwhelm old pipes, so ensuring your lines are clear of winter debris is vital for preventing floods.
Fall Foliage Management: New Brunswick's beautiful trees mean lots of falling leaves. Keep your outdoor area drains and gutter downspouts clear to prevent autumn rains from backing up into your foundation or garage.
Winter Freeze Protection: During the harsh NJ winters, interior pipes located against exterior walls can freeze and crack. Keep your cabinets open to allow warm air circulation and ensure your main shut-off valve is accessible in case a frozen pipe leads to a burst line.
Summer High-Volume Care: Summer in the city often means more guests and increased laundry. Avoid pouring cooking oils from summer cookouts down the drain, as the humidity and heat can cause grease to solidify further down the line, creating a mid-summer emergency.
Average Drain Cleaning Costs in New Brunswick, New Jersey
Standard drain cleaning in New Brunswick typically starts around $175 for basic clogs. Prices can increase up to $475 or more for main sewer line clearing or emergency after-hours services, reflecting the specialized equipment and labor rates common in the Central Jersey area.
Frequently Asked Questions about Drain Cleaning in New Brunswick, New Jersey
How do you verify which New Brunswick plumbers are available?
We use a live verification process. Once we identify the best certified plumbers in your specific New Brunswick zip code, we contact them directly to confirm they have an immediate opening to handle your drain cleaning before we connect you.
Do you service the neighborhoods near Rutgers University?
Yes! Our network covers all of New Brunswick, including the College Avenue area, Cook/Douglass, downtown, and the residential neighborhoods near Buccleuch Park.
What is the most common cause of clogged drains in New Brunswick?
In New Brunswick's older homes, tree root intrusion into aging sewer lines is very common. In newer apartments and the downtown area, we see many clogs caused by accumulated grease and foreign objects like wipes.
Is 24-hour emergency drain cleaning available?
Absolutely. We specifically filter for plumbers who offer 24/7 emergency services because we know that a sewage backup or an overflowing toilet in a busy New Brunswick household cannot wait until business hours.
How long does a professional drain cleaning take?
For most New Brunswick residential properties, a standard drain cleaning takes between 1 and 2 hours. More complex issues involving the main sewer line or requiring hydro-jetting may take slightly longer to ensure the pipe is completely clear.
