Top Rated Plumbers in Rochester
Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Rochester
2340 Brighton Henrietta Town Line Rd Ste 8, Rochester, NY 14623, USA
(585) 877-6301Very satisfied with the service provided by Kevin Gray to snake out and unclog our kitchen drain pipe out to the main. Every step of the process clearly explained including future preventative steps I could take to ensure properly functioning drains. Thanks Kevin for a very professional and friendly job well done!
1 month agoI am a new home owner and bought my house 3 months ago. This past weekend, my tub and toilet stopped draining. I called Mr. Rooter and they were able to get someone out the same day to take a look. Unfortunately, they incorrectly diagnosed the problem and then were going to charge me an outrageous amount. I also specifically went with this company because I was told they could also work on septic tanks. The tech clearly had no knowledge of septic tanks whatsoever, which is why he incorrectly diagnosed the problem. I ended up going with a different company, who charged me $600 less than what Mr. Rooter quoted me and was actually able to look at my septic tank. If you are a house with a septic tank, save yourself the time and money and find a different company.
3 weeks agoAs a property owner in Rochester, NY, I’ve worked with a number of plumbing companies over the years, and Mr. Rooter Plumbing stands out for all the right reasons. They consistently deliver expert solutions with exceptional service. From the initial phone call to the technicians arriving on-site, their professionalism is evident every step of the way.🙂 Their pricing is reasonable and transparent, which I truly appreciate. What really sets them apart is their proactive approach. Mr. Rooter sends out timely notifications when my properties are due for septic pumping or backflow preventer testing. This has saved me the hassle of remembering to schedule these critical services before it’s too late. I’m also pleased that they service nearby towns and counties, which makes managing multiple properties much easier. Overall, I highly recommend Mr. Rooter Plumbing for anyone looking for reliable, knowledgeable, and professional plumbing services in the Rochester area and beyond. You can tell, I'm beyond satisfied!!!💯
5 months agoJack & Jill Plumbing
5461 W Ridge Rd, Spencerport, NY 14559, USA
(585) 367-4979Michael was very professional and thorough in inspecting and diagnosing the situation with my home's drainage system. I decided to have the hydro jetting done on the main line from my house to my septic tank. It took Kory more time to unpack and pack up his gear than to clean the PVC so well that I could plainly see the purple adhesive at the inside joints. A week later, our upstairs toilet and shower along with our laundry drain backed up. I called back up, and James came down to investigate. He was very detailed and thorough. Not only did he unblock a substantial mass that had formed about 10 feet in from the toilet, but he identified that a portion of the PVC drainpipe on that branch must have a bend in it. We looked in the basement ceiling, and sure enough, a portion of the PVC pipe not only had a bend but was sloped up for a stretch for some reason. Very happy with the expertise and willingness of Michael, Kory, and James to explain what they were observing and what pragmatically to do about it. Hopefully I don't have further drain issues, but if I do, Jack & Jill Plumbing will be my first call.
1 week agoJack & Jill plumbing helped me tremendously in setting up my laundry room. The pipes were old and needed fixing before the machine could be set up and they were able to price it out and get the job done in the same morning! The communication was excellent and they made sure to check that all the pipes were sturdy and not leaking, even from connections that they did not directly install which I appreciated so much! I would definitely recommend Jack & Jill to anyone in need.
2 weeks ago⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Mike was excellent. He responded very quickly and arrived faster than expected, which was a huge relief. His pricing was very reasonable, and he took the time to clearly explain what caused the plumbing issue, how it happened, and exactly what the solution was. He was extremely informative, professional, and helpful throughout the entire process. I really appreciated how transparent and knowledgeable he was. I highly recommend Mike to anyone needing a reliable and honest plumber.
3 weeks agoIrock Plumbing
965 N Rd Suite #2, Scottsville, NY 14546, USA
(585) 571-4055I Used this company after calling 6 other plumbing companies to help with an emergency overflowing toilet issue. This happened late at night. One of the techs told me to turn off my main water valve to stop it until morning. Woke up to an overflowed toilet again and flooding in my bathroom. The tech came and turned on the main valve and unclogged my toilet. A few hours later, after coming to help me clean up the aftermath, my dad noticed the main water valve leaking. This was NOT checked before the tech had left, even tho he did touch/tamper with it. Had he checked his work, my dad and I probably wouldn’t have had to spend the next 3 hours trying to contain the leak, which was spewing at a rate of a low running faucet, and more flooding to my kitchen. After going back and forth with the guys about how it wasn’t their fault the valve broke, they finally sent someone out, over an hour later than they were supposed to arrive. This tech took my utility closet door off and DIDNT PUT IT BACK ON. I was waived a fee for them to come back out to my residence but was still charged an arm and a leg. Had the first tech checked the valve he turned back on in the first place, I wouldn’t have had the other tech need to come back and not put my utility closet doors back on. THANKS ALOT. Photo attached of proof of not putting my things back the way they were found.
3 years agoOur kichen sink was backed up. Of course we tried the usual home remedies to.no avail. We placed a call to Irock Plumbing and they had someone come out the same day. Melvin provided us with a quote and any eligible discounts, fully explained what was needed then completed the job without delay. Extremely knowledgeable, nice young man. He ran tests upon completion, cleaned up any mess , provided paperwork and photos of the job before packing up, leaving everything nice. Wonderful man to do business with. Thank you Melvin!
2 years agoIrock had my drain issue fixed in less than 24 hours after I called. My technician Dave B. Was on time, professional, and took the time to explain what he needed to do. He was up front about pricing. I will use Irock again for sure, and recommend them to others. Many thanks Dave and IRock!
2 years agoAlberti & Sons Plumbing
24 High St # 1, Fairport, NY 14450, USA
(585) 388-1105We had a clog deep in our kitchen line. Alberti had Michael come out same day and he had the drain and line working again in an hour. He was thorough, knowledgeable, and overall a great guy. He ensured he didn’t leave a mess of any kind, even refusing to wear his boots inside the house. The work was well done, and at a great price too. Would 100% recommend to anyone in Fairport and beyond!
3 weeks agoI called Alberti & Sons looking for assistance with some plumbing under our kitchen sink, which included cutting open the cabinet back/drywall and lowering the sink drain in order to accommodate a new garbage disposal. Mike was both responsive and straightforward over the phone, and was able to send a team out the same day! The technicians were professional, courteous, and did an excellent job for a great price. I highly recommend Alberti & Sons, and am happy to have found a new go-to for any plumbing needs that arise. Thanks again!!
4 months agoWas about to sit down to a wonderful dinner last night when the alarm on our sump pump went off. Went downstairs to see what was happening in the sump pump wasn’t working at all gave Mike Alberti a call and he answered he gave me some troubleshooting tips to try . told him I’d get back to him in a half hour . tried them didn’t work so called him back. He offered me appointment for last evening or first thing in the morning today. I decided to take the appointment in the morning today. Needed to bail some water out during the night but right at 8 AM. The doorbell rang and Tim was standing there with a big smile. He came in ready to do the work. He brought me downstairs to show me. that the valve in the piping to prevent backflow was no longer working, which overworked my pump which made it fail. He replaced that and the pump 30 minutes later everything’s working again. I’ve used Mike’s company previously , they don’t fail to impress.
1 week agoMain Line Plumbing
409 S Union St Suite 1, Spencerport, NY 14559, USA
(585) 455-4266Jordan and Dave were awesome. I called them about 8:45 and they arrived to fix the burst pipe in our downstairs bathroom. They were done with the work about 11:20am !!! We have water again. This was my first experience with Main Line Plumbing, they are a godsend. We are so very thankful for their quick response. If you have a plumbing problem this is the company to call.
1 month agoMain Line was beyond the best choice! They were prompt in responding, Jordan got out quickly to give quotes and Joe was friendly/courteous when communicating and getting his team activated. The team that came out (Jawaan, Alec, and David) were awesome! They were on time, professional, friendly, work was quality, and they were all patient with my questions/concerns. I cannot recommend a better, or more fairly priced, team of plumbers!
1 year agoI called this company asking for a price quote to have my toilet snaked and told them I have a hung sewer line. The person I spoke to on the phone said that they had no clue what a hung sewer was and that that was a made up term. It is very much a real thing and a commonly used term. A plumbing company not knowing this is a MAJOR red flag.
3 weeks agoMain Line Plumbing
6 N Main St Suite 200-L, Fairport, NY 14450, USA
(585) 455-4266Joe from Main Line was outstanding. He was extremely efficient and knowledgeable, and he communicated his schedule clearly throughout the entire process. After reaching out to ten plumbers the day after Thanksgiving, he was the only one who followed up, and it truly made all the difference. We were dealing with an emergency pipe break on a holiday and were incredibly stressed, but Joe showed up when we needed help most. His professionalism and reliability were exceptional. Highly recommend!
3 months agoVery professional, dependable, friendly and knowledgeable people. Job was done right and in the time frame they said it would be. They cut out a section of the concrete floor to add new drain pipes for a new toilet and vanity for a new half bath install in the basement. They also ran new water lines for them and repaired the concrete floor. The job needed a permit and inspection and the crew did everything to make it a smooth process. Will definitely hire Main Line Plumbing for future plumbing needs.
3 months agoThey helped us when we were at our most desperate and in an absolute panic with ankle deep water in our basement. Jeremy was calm and incredibly helpful; Joe coordinated everything with ease.

(585) 222-2564Jerromey has been a huge help to our family over the last couple of years. We've had him out to the house 4 or 5 times now and he always gets the job done. Jerromey and his staff are friendly, knowledgeable and trustworthy. He's even showed up on Sundays and when he's supposed to be on vacation... This guy is the best. I highly recommend Drain Busters.
6 years agoDrain Busters was very professional and compassionate! They respond fast and was very affordable. He came right in, fixed our tub and sink for almost 1/2 the price other companies were demanding! This is definitely a company that looks out for his customers. I would hire them again in a heartbeat and plan on recommending them to others. Thanks once again for your service Drain Buster! You guys are totally amazing!!!👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
6 years agoJerromey the owner of Drain Buster just did a great job fixing my parents bathroom tub faucet. I called him on a Saturday evening and he was at their house the next day (Sunday) to replace the broken part. He went out of his way to get the new parts! He did a neat job and was very professional. His price was very reasonable. I would reccomend him to anyone needing a plumber.
7 years agoAP Plumbing

(585) 515-4163Mike was very supportive of my needs and was willing to do the work. He completed the work very efficiently. He listened to me and made sure he delivered all my service needs. I had many drains that I wanted checked. When completed he made sure every work area was cleaned up. 1 month agoI had gas lines and a stove installed. I would definitely recommend AP Plumbing because they go above and beyond. John was very friendly and respectful, and he did a great job. He tidied everything up before he left and took away the leftover packing material as well. Well, worth the price in frontend service and in the way they warranty their work.
3 weeks agoColin The Plumber LLC
1419 Empire Blvd, Webster, NY 14580, USA
(585) 730-2418Working with Colin the Plumber has always been a 5 star experience. We have had to use them for a couple different issues and each time I walk away knowing I can trust their people, their suggestions, and their work. Most recently we’ve had some issues with water backing up in our basement, causing water to flood. Originally we were told to contact the city to make sure our main line was clear. This was something they could have easily charged us for but instead they lead with integrity and told us the town would do it for free. I cannot say thank you enough for that. Additionally we had Brandin and Caleb come out to do some work - originally we thought we were going to go with a much more expensive “fix” but Brandin explained clearly why it wasn’t necessary and instead gave us a solution that wasn’t going to break the bank. Again, that integrity goes a long way! They both did great work for us! So happy we have found Colin the Plumber and I can honestly say we won’t call any other plumbers for any of our needs in the future!
1 month agoI received excellent emergency services from Colin the Plumber (CIP) for a serious plumbing issue. Recently on a Sunday evening, I returned from vacation and turned the water back on in my house. My 47-yr old main shut off valve in the house started leaking and the leak continued when I turned it back off. Then I found out my plumber was out of business and the next plumber I called couldn't be there until Monday. But CIP sent a plumber in about an hour. Brandin fixed the leak, re-lit the pilot light on my hot water heater that was being difficult, and answered all my questions about my situation. From our talk, I was pleasantly surprised that CIP would be able, within the next 2 days, to arrange with the town to turn the water to my house off and on so that CIP could replace the shut off valve. On Tuesday after the town shut off the water, Adam arrived as scheduled, answered all my questions about the replacement, then replaced the valve and tested it as soon as the water was turned on. In addition, he provided me with information which will be useful when I decide to replace my hot water heater. I found both Brandin and Adam to be skillful plumbers with excellent customer service skills. Also, the employees of CIP that answered the phone and arranged the services I received were very helpful and courteous.
2 weeks agoBrandin W. did an awesome job with the installation of plumbing shutoff valves. He explained what he was going to do and gave an upfront price for the service. He fully checked his work at the end to make sure it was completely done and cleaned up. Brandin was awesome to talk to during the service. Thanks for the great service.
2 months agoLalonde Plumbing
31 Peart Ave, Rochester, NY 14622, USA
(585) 478-3959Upon returning from Seattle for the holidays, my wife and I discovered that we had no hot water in the house. I went to the basement to check on the hot water heater and discovered water on the floor - LOTS. OF. WATER. 😩 As I proceeded to meltdown (and for good reason), my wife jumped into action. She left a message with Lalonde Plumbing and they were quick to return the call. Tyler was awesome! He set up a FaceTime call and walked me through how to shutoff water to the tank and connect a hose to drain any remaining water. He then contacted a gentleman who specializes in water removal, and that individual was at my house within an hour. It was truly amazing and put me in a much better place considering the circumstances. Tyler was at our house first thing the next day to assess the situation, and obtain some direction relative to our choice between another hot water tank or a tankless hot water heater. We elected the tankless hot water heater and Tyler promptly entered the order with his supplier. The order took a day to arrive. Tyler and his team were at our house at 9:00am the next morning to perform the removal and installation. Tyler, Derrek, and Mitch were friendly, respectful of our home by placing covers over their shoes (because it was snowing), knowledgeable, and their work was outstanding. It was apparent that service and relationships are extremely important to Tyler and his business. What I loved about this interaction with Lalonde Plumbing is that they were responsive, punctual, respectful, and meticulous. Their pricing was reasonable as well and their service contact saved us $750, which was also amazing! I highly recommend Lalonde Plumbing to anyone who has a water-related issue in their home or is planning a remodeling project. Thank you, Tyler and team for being there for us during our time of need. We appreciate you!
2 months agoI contacted Lalonde Plumbing about replacing a leaky kitchen sink, faucet, & garbage disposal on a Monday evening. My message was responded to in minutes by Tyler to setup a consult the next day. Michell arrived promptly & I was given a quote for the job. Tyler contacted me Wednesday to let me know he had all the materials purchased & was ready to install. We scheduled for Friday. The install went smoothly. Great communication with Lalonde Plumbing throughout, great workmanship, & great experience. I highly recommend Lalonde Plumbing.
2 months agoMitch came to do alll the things to my toilet and replaced my toilet. Awesome work done, even cleaned my wall ! Such a great guy. Would 1000 percent recommend them to anyone!
2 weeks agoProfessional Drain Cleaning in Rochester
Rochester is more than just the home of the Mayo Clinic; it's a bustling community where a clogged drain can derail a busy schedule. Whether you are living in an older home near St. Marys or a newer development in NW Rochester, finding a reliable plumber who is actually available today can be a frustrating game of phone tag. We've simplified the process for Med City residents. Our service handles the heavy lifting by scanning our local network of certified plumbers and filtering them by your exact Rochester zip code. We don't just give you a list; we call the pros ourselves to confirm they can solve your drain issue today, ensuring you get help when you need it most without the hassle of making dozen of calls.
Common Drain Issues in Rochester
Mature Tree Root Intrusion: In Rochester’s established neighborhoods like Kutzky Park or Pill Hill, massive oak and maple trees have root systems that often find their way into aging clay or cast-iron sewer lines. These roots cause stubborn backups that require professional snaking or hydro-jetting to clear.
Hard Water Scale Buildup: Southern Minnesota is known for hard water. Over time, calcium and magnesium deposits build up inside your pipes, narrowing the passage and making it easier for hair and grease to cause a total blockage in Rochester homes.
FOG in the Kitchen: With Rochester’s thriving food scene and busy households, "Fats, Oils, and Grease" (FOG) often end up down the kitchen sink. In our cold Minnesota climate, these substances solidify quickly in the pipes, leading to slow drains that eventually stop entirely.
Basement Floor Drain Backups: Homes near the Zumbro River or in lower-lying areas often deal with high water tables. During heavy Rochester rains, floor drains in basements can back up if the main line isn't perfectly clear, leading to potential water damage in finished lower levels.
Seasonal Drain Maintenance Tips for Rochester
Fall Leaf Management: Before the first Rochester snow, ensure outdoor drains and gutters are clear. Decaying leaves can wash into exterior drains and freeze, causing massive ice blocks that prevent drainage during the spring thaw.
Winter Pipe Protection: When temperatures drop below zero in MN, ensure your basement stays heated. A frozen drain pipe can crack, leading to a messy situation once the ice melts. If a drain is slow in November, fix it before the deep freeze hits in January.
Spring Thaw Inspection: Rochester’s heavy snowmelt puts a massive strain on floor drains and sump pumps. Have your main line checked in early spring to ensure the runoff from the melting snowdrifts has a clear path away from your foundation.
Summer Sump Check: With the high humidity and sudden thunderstorms common in SE Minnesota, ensure your laundry and floor drains are flowing freely. A backup during a July downpour can turn a Rochester basement into a disaster zone.
Average Drain Cleaning Costs in Rochester
Prices in Rochester vary based on the severity of the clog, the location of the drain (main line vs. secondary sink), and whether emergency after-hours service is required. Basic snaking starts lower, while hydro-jetting for tree roots typically falls at the higher end of the range.
