Cutting Edge Sewer & Drain LLC
7204 W 27th St, St Louis Park, MN 55426, USA
(763) 232-5506We had our main drain cleared promptly and reasonably by Cutting Edge Sewer and Drain several months ago. We then had a backed up kitchen sink that they cleared. Brett was excellent. He explained options and found solutions quickly and with care. He even fixed an issue with a separate drain cover, charging only for the cover’s cost. I will definitely be using CES&D for our future plumbing needs!
4 months agoI use Cutting Edge Sewer & Drain regularly and they’re solid to work with. Communication is good, they show up when they say they will, and they can handle everything from small clogs to large pipe jetting. I recommend them when I want the job done right the first time.
4 months agoToilet grugling-conducted video of main lines to confirm no blockage or broken pipes. Provided all options to consider but did not push to do any service that was not needed. Very much appreciated! Made recommendations for what to look for in spring if noise continues or comes back. Otherwise, just recommended having the pipes checked again in 2-3 years.
5 months agoBonfe Underground
4318 Upton Ave S Unit 210, Minneapolis, MN 55410, USA
(612) 503-4560Well this was the 2nd time that I had more water in the home then what I knew to do with so I called them out. They came which was cool and the people were nice enough to deal with. They showed me that there was a blockage and it needed to get fixed. So we agreed. When I did make the apt call though I asked them to check the upstair sink as well and that never got looked at. I do understand that there was a larger issue at hand but I wish it could have been looked at. There was a couple other things I would address but the person I worked with was nice and it does not need to be on a public forum. I did work with Grant nice dude knows the ins and outs of the plumbing systems of Maplewood and the surrounding area as we talked about soil and the construction around the area and what he has seen on the job in the area. Which is what I pretty much figured in Ramsey County mostly screwing the people who pay for the systems with little to show of in support unlike other counties in the area who help its citizens. Being that we are original plants in the area meaning we were the first families on the block in the area of Maplewood. Off Highway 36 so the plumbing layout was just as Grant said it would be with the soil content and all. The only issues I have with this part is he was to freaking friendly. He worked best he could to get us assistance and work some type of payment for the job. It is not his fault that a uninsured driver ran into our car. Thus then having to buy a newer car because it was a total loss. So having a big ding like that screws up financing and being older does not help. However after making some calls and getting help from other parties I talked with Grant and said the funding was open and that we could get this done. That it would be paid in full and we could get it done asap. Taking care of someone who is on dietetics which cause you to use the head a lot and all I was told flush as little as possible because we did not know the extent of the damage and did not want sewage to get into the home. We said ok. I did ask when they do the job what takes place. He said they come in with permits in tow then start work which should take about a day. Then the inspector comes takes pics and they clean up the site rake it even with the matching area and I pay them and its a wrap. Everything happened as talked about. Nice people worked effectively. The job took less time then Grant said and I think they were done around early afternoon. It was nice to use a shower and run water again. Especially being able to flush. Job total was around just 9,250 I gave them the check and walked back into the house. I was a little disappointed when I came back upstair from doing laundry to notice that it was not raked out or even close to what I was told.
3 weeks agoWe had Bonfe out to clean our sewer drain and we couldn't be happier. Our service provider Harrison was very nice and did a great job. We also had a free scope done of our drain line by Mark and my husband loved chatting with him. All along the ladies at Bonfe kept in touch with us about when the service people would be there with calls and texts. We could even see where our service people were on a map in regard to where they were in relation to our house. Bonfe even has a special going on now for $99. A price that couldn't be beat by other companies I checked. Thanks Bonfe for your great service!
1 month agoAdam came to put a camera into my main drain line going out of the house. He was very thorough and explained everything to me in a detailed way that I could understand and make informed decisions. He was very personable and was even very kind to my dog! What a great employee you have in him. I will definitely be calling Bonfe in the future if I need any plumbing work done.
2 months agoBedrock Plumbing & Drain Cleaning
7000 Oxford St, St Louis Park, MN 55426, USA
(952) 900-3807Drain issue resolved quicky at a reasonable price. Jaden was very professional, personable, and solved my plumbing issue quickly. He had the right equipment for the job and more importantly knew how to use it.
1 month agoWas very happy with the service today. I called for a backed up main drain and Robert was here within an hour. He found and fixed the issue quickly and helped me understand the issue as well as a couple other questions I had. Great service as usual and I plan to continue to use Bedrock for future needs.
3 weeks agoJaden did a great job from start to finish. He updated our water entry (PRV, ball valve), installed an expansion tank, and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. He went above and beyond and also walked me through the Peace of Mind package (signed up on the spot and have our next visit already scheduled). Really happy with the whole experience — highly recommend!
1 month agoMcDonough’s - Drain Cleaning St Paul MN
1307 Sylvan St #4605, St Paul, MN 55117, USA
(651) 436-3370Craig was so great to work with! He was friendly and professional. He left me with a positive impression of your company, as a knowledgeable, careful and ethical part of your team. He was very thorough and kept me in the loop on what he was doing and what he was seeing as he cleaned out the main line. He also provided a camera inspection and explained a lot of things I never would have known, which cleared up a lot of questions about my mainline. He made the experience very pleasant and pretty interesting. I would have full confidence in him to handle any future mainline issues. All in all, this was a great experience. As a result, I will be recommending your company to all. Jill M B R. Austin N. I called just before noon on a Monday, and within 30 minutes a technician was there and quickly fixed our drain issue. Quick, honest, and quality work. Would highly recommend them to anyone having a drain problem. Great value for the quick service. Mark .. Did a very good job. The drain camera found the source of the problem. A manager stopped by to bring a needed piece of equipment (at no extra charge), and the office manager was excellent when there was a question about a conflict in billing. I'm an HOA president and they are our new drain... Stephanie D. I highly recommend this company. Not many plumbers have a small camera for vent pipes. This company does. They were able to come out and video my vent pipe. They are reasonably priced also thank you. I will be using you guys again. If I need to and they give you USB of the video also. Thank you...
1 month agoMcDonough’s was so helpful and wonderful for a bad drain issue that we had. Mo was our technician and was fabulous! He was punctual, explained everything very thoroughly, and was so smart and creative in solving our complicated problem. I would recommend them to anyone!

1 year agoKen's Sewer Service
3017 Natchez Ave S, St Louis Park, MN 55416, USA
(952) 929-4146Absolutely horrendous. I had an emergency backup from my main drain. Ken's came out and ended up getting their cable stuck in my drain. I thought they were coming back to get the cable out and complete the job. Instead, they had me sign a paper saying I am responsible for their cable and charged me $325. They never came back and instead send a different sewer guy from "Brothers Underground" to get their cable out and scope the line. The thing is, they were going to charge me $1200! Meanwhile, the sewer with the cable stuck in it and the cap off exploded, sending a river of sewage across my new laminate floor. When I asked Ken's to come out and help, they said they were done with my job and "didn't have anyone" to come out to fix their problem. I then called Ron the Sewer Rat (highly recommend!!!), and they pulled out the cable immediately with one hand (...) and charged me only $500 to clear the line. I suspect Brothers Underground and Ken's have done this to other customers, so BEWARE! I have filed a complaint with the BBB, and I am seeking a refund from Ken's. DO NOT USE KEN'S!
7 months agoDiego was very professional, and did a marvelous job. $390 was more than I expected to pay, but then I'm not current about pricing of sewer line cleaning. I only called Ken's because I was happy with them in the past. I will call them for annual cleaning.
3 months agoCalled on a weekend with the beginnings of a sewer backup. I got a prompt response and a service technician arrived in less than hour. The technician was efficient and diagnosed the issue (sewer blockage at 45 feet near the street) and cleared the issue quickly. I’ve worked with Ken’s Sewer Service in the past and have been satisfied with their work and would definitely recommend Ken’s
10 months agoLoch Monster Plumbing LLC
7600 W 27th St #211, St Louis Park, MN 55426, USA
(763) 501-3573Use these folks! Clint was incredibly helpful! He solved our clogged main swiftly and gave easy to understand advice for how to keep it clear in the future without any pressure for more service and cost. His price was reasonable and his work is trustworthy.
2 months agoI have had Loch Monster out to do a number of things over the past two years since moving in to a new house, and they always provide efficient service! The first things I needed taken care of for the house were a new iron filter and a new water softener, as the ones that were in the house were old and not filtering properly. They came out right away and had them replaced within a couple of days! No issues with my water quality since. I had a bathroom remodel done and they worked with me to get things done to my satisfaction. I had the toilet replaced, a whole new shower and bath set up, and the sink and faucet replaced. I could not be happier with the way everything turned out! And everything has been running smoothly since. I also had my water heater quit working in the middle of winter last year, but Loch Monster came out and had it fixed in a day! Truly exceptional work from a great company! Reasonably priced for the quality work they provide. I will be continuing to use this company for all my plumbing needs.
5 months agoI had a wonderful experience with Clint. He was knowledgeable, hardworking, dedicated, and very kind. He stayed until 9 p.m. to get the issue with our plumbing fixed. He needed to come back for another visit but he wanted to get it to a useable place before leaving and I appreciate that so much. I felt very taken care of and that the issue was being fixed, and not just patched.
4 months agoMr Plumbing and Drains
7204 W 27th St #220, St Louis Park, MN 55426, USA
(612) 387-6888I want to start by saying we had Hero come out for our main sewer line multiple times over the last 2 years…including a 20K main sewer line replacement in the summer of 23. Suffice to say, we are still having backups on our main sewer line, and after having Hero out multiple times to “fix” it, we grew tired of their “solutions”. Enter Cyrus. I had read reviews about Cyrus, and the work he did and the honesty he shared with all his customers, I was a skeptic, can you blame me? (Don’t answer that) Cyrus not only asked questions about what Hero had did from every angle possible to better understand what might be happening, he consistently apologized for the situation I was in and showed real empathy towards our situation…that’s never happened before. Then he went to work. He kept me informed the entire time, sharing what his thoughts were, NEVER trying to sell me anything. In fact, he informed me of an idea that I could do myself that would keep me from having to see him again…that’s also never happened before. After a couple hours, Cyrus was done, and not only charged me only 1/3 of what Hero wanted for the same job, but tried to give me a tool or two to use for free in the future..I declined, and thanked him profusely. If you’re on the fence about Cyrus and the work he does, RECONSIDER! This will be our household plumber moving forward from now on. Thank you to Cyrus, his wonderful and understanding receptionist, and the work they did for us all while staying genuine and professional. You have a return customer here!
2 years agoCyrus came out and assessed my water softener recently. He was very kind and made sure to tell me my options while not pressuring me to go with their company (which, of course, I did). We scheduled a time for him to come back for the installation and he and the team arrived promptly and everything looks great! (And is now working great, thank goodness!) He also made sure to explain the new system to us, answered all our questions, and made sure everything was running smoothly before leaving. All in all a very smooth transaction. Thank you so much!
1 year agoCyrus was a pleasure to work with. I had an outdoor spigot that needed a replacement and he was fast, knowledgeable and transparent about what he was doing. Was he the cheapest? Nope. But he didn't cost the most either. In the end I was happy with the work they did and not upset about the price they charged. I will call them back agin.
9 months agoJake The Plumber
4216 1/2 Cheatham Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55406, USA
(651) 212-5253I had a copper pipe fail inside my wall, something nobody ever wants to happen. I got multiple quotes one upwards of $1000 just to fix the pipe itself. I found him referenced on the Next Door app very highly, He was able to give me an estimate on the spot. Jake came in swiftly, on his lunch break might I add, to save the day. He was honest, efficient, and a light in an otherwise horrible circumstance. I’ve already sent out a referral blast to all of my people if they ever need a plumber to give him a ring. Thanks Jake the Plumber! (Insert Superhero music here.)
9 months agoJake did an awesome job! The repair work was top-notch, and I really appreciated how easy he was to talk to. We had some great conversations while he worked, and it was clear he really knows his stuff. Super knowledgeable, friendly, and professional I’d definitely call him again and highly recommend him to anyone who needs a reliable plumber.
7 months agoI needed a plumber quickly because the pipe under our kitchen sink started leaking right before we left for a weekend trip. The technician arrived within a couple of hours, replaced the damaged section, and double checked the connections before leaving. It gave me peace of mind knowing we wouldn’t come home to water damage.
1 month agoJanecky Plumbing and Heating, LLC
720 Pontiac Pl, Mendota Heights, MN 55120, USA
(651) 454-9297Janecky replaced all of our old polybutylene (Poly B) water pipes in our home, (a major project) and we are very happy with their remarkable work. Tim and his crew were honest, hardworking professionals who went above and beyond. What is most important to us, is Janecky's honesty. Recommended to us from many contractors, their reputation is stellar. Every contractor, including a family we trust in the furnace business - when we asked them what plumber they recommended for us, the answer was JANECKY. We had them replace a water heater a few years ago as well, and they also did a great job, and it was reasonably priced. You can TRUST that they are not overcharging you like many other plumbers try to get away with. It is a great feeling to know you can call Janecky Plumbing, an honest company, that always performs a stellar job - big, or small. Thank you, Tim, Dave, and crew!
4 months agoWithin an hour and a half of calling/texting someone showed up on site to start replacing our commercial water heater. We had a quote within the first 30 minutes of contact. I have a close friend who is a master plumber and they actually quoted us under what he thought they would to replace it. Everyone was professional and easy to work with. This company operates with integrity and respect. They will be our first call next time and we highly recommend them to anyone with plumbing needs.
5 months agoCalled to schedule and owner Eric was very professional. Asked what household needs were and sent Dave M. as owner knew Dave had knowledge of my needs. Had old silt from old water softener in some faucets that he cleared, new water softener was not programmed correctly due to our own install (not their’s) and Dave corrected, new kitchen faucet/soap dispenser install amongst other things he corrected. Have been using Janecky for years and they do not price gouge. Fair pricing.
2 months agoNorblom Plumbing
1465 Selby Ave, St Paul, MN 55104, USA
(612) 827-4033We had Rick the plumber do 3 tasks for us. One he did right away on the day he came for an estimate and the other 2 were scheduled for a week or so later. Fantastic guy very easy to work with. Did a wonderful job and cleaned up afterwards too.
2 weeks agoSteve was a huge help during the plumbing work for my café. He was patient, professional, and genuinely great to work with from start to finish. His communication was solid, he paid close attention to details, and he really went above and beyond to make sure everything was done right. His dedication and reliability definitely stood out. Rob was the plumber on the job and he also did an excellent job — very skilled, thorough, and easy to work with. I highly recommend Steve, Rob, and Norblom Plumbing.
5 months agoI chose Norblom Plumbing because they’re from St. Paul — my hometown — and that matters to me. There’s something about calling a local company that feels more personal, like you’re keeping things close to home. From the first phone call, I could tell I’d made the right choice. The person on the other end didn’t rush me. They listened. They were responsive, professional, and genuinely kind — not scripted, not hurried. Rick, our plumber, arrived right within the time frame he promised (which already felt like a small miracle). He took his time figuring out what was going on and then explained it in plain language — the kind you can actually follow without nodding along and pretending you understand. What I appreciated most was that he laid out three clear options at three different price points. No pressure. Just information. That helped me decide what made sense for my budget right now. The work itself was done efficiently and with care. You could tell Rick takes pride in what he does. Fair pricing. Honest communication. No drama. Just solid, dependable service. If you’re looking for a plumbing company that shows up, does the work well, and treats you like a neighbor instead of a number, I’d call Norblom again in a heartbeat. Jon Katherine Martins

Common Drain Issues in Richfield, Minnesota
Tree Root Intrusion: Many Richfield neighborhoods are famous for their beautiful, mature canopy. Unfortunately, these tree roots frequently seek out moisture in older clay or cast iron sewer lines, leading to massive blockages that require professional high-pressure jetting.
Aging Pipe Infrastructure: With many homes in Richfield built between the 1940s and 1960s, galvanized steel pipes are common. Over decades, these pipes suffer from internal corrosion and scale buildup, which catches hair and grease, leading to frequent and frustrating slow drains.
Extreme Cold Grease Buildup: During Minnesota's harsh winters, the ground temperature around your pipes drops significantly. This causes fats, oils, and grease poured down the drain to solidify almost instantly, creating stubborn 'fatbergs' that DIY chemicals simply cannot dissolve.
Sump Pump Drainage Issues: Richfield's geography and seasonal snowmelt can put immense pressure on basement drainage systems. If your floor drains are clogged or your sump pump discharge line is obstructed, you risk significant water damage during the spring thaw.
Seasonal Drain Maintenance Tips for Richfield, Minnesota
Winter Freeze Prevention: Ensure your outdoor hose bibs are disconnected and any drain lines in unheated areas of your Richfield basement are insulated to prevent ice-plug blockages.
Spring Thaw Maintenance: As the snow melts near the 494 corridor, check your basement floor drains for debris and pour a gallon of water down them to ensure the traps are sealed and flowing freely.
Fall Gutter and Area Drain Clearing: Before the first freeze, clear all leaves and organic debris from outdoor area drains and window wells to prevent standing water from freezing and cracking your pipes.
Summer Root Growth Monitoring: If you live in an older part of Richfield with large trees, schedule a preventative camera inspection in the summer to catch invasive root growth before it leads to a full sewer backup in the winter.
Average Drain Cleaning Costs in Richfield, Minnesota
The cost of drain cleaning in Richfield typically depends on the location of the clog (sink vs. main line), the equipment required, and whether you require emergency after-hours service.
Frequently Asked Questions about Drain Cleaning in Richfield, Minnesota
How quickly can you find a plumber in Richfield for an emergency?
Because we call and verify availability before connecting you, we can often find a plumber in the Richfield area who can be at your door within 1 to 4 hours.
Are your plumbers familiar with Richfield’s specific plumbing codes?
Yes, our network includes licensed professionals who are well-versed in Minnesota State Plumbing Code and Richfield's local residential requirements for older home renovations.
Do you service both residential and commercial drains in Richfield?
Absolutely. Whether you have a clogged sink at home or a commercial floor drain issue near the Best Buy headquarters, we filter for plumbers equipped to handle both.
Why is my drain gurgling during the spring snowmelt?
This is a common Richfield issue where high water tables or partially frozen vent stacks restrict air flow. Our verified plumbers can quickly diagnose if it's a simple venting issue or a more serious blockage.
Will hydro-jetting damage the older pipes in my Richfield home?
Our verified experts perform a camera inspection first. If your pipes are older cast iron or clay, they will determine if hydro-jetting is safe or if a traditional motorized snake is a better option for your home's integrity.
