what started as a simple clogged drain quickly turned into a big plumbing headache for us. we first hired a different plumber, but he accidentally broke his snake tool inside our pipes, which made things worse. after that, we decided to call in another team to help fix the mess. maurice came out and right away showed us exactly what was going on with our pipes, using photos to explain everything clearly. the broken snake was stuck and the pipes were leaking around the toilet, bathtub, and sink. instead of just patching things up, maurice and his crew replaced the damaged pipes and added a new cleanout under the tub and in the wall so it’s much easier to access if we ever need it again. they were the most professional and friendly plumbers we've had. they kept everything clean, explained every step, and always made sure our pets were safe while they worked. they treated our home with respect and made sure we understood what was happening at every stage. i really appreciate all the effort and care they put into fixing our plumbing. i’d definitely recommend them to anyone needing a plumber. just a heads up, they handled the plumbing perfectly but we did the tile and drywall repairs ourselves.

We had our water heater replaced in San Anselmo. I called early in the morning, and within minutes, I was told that a plumber would come out that same afternoon. Around 1 o’clock, I got another call letting me know they’d arrive in about 45 minutes, and they showed up right on time. The replacement process was quick and went very smoothly. The plumbers did quality, professional work. When Maurice and his crew arrived, I could tell they were experienced just by how neat and organized their work van was—everything was clean and all the plumbing parts were sorted in bins. The team communicated clearly with me every step of the way and delivered exactly what they promised. I’m very happy with the service and highly recommend them for any plumbing needs.

Marco and Santos installed 4 new toilets. They did a fabulous job and left no mess, they even took the boxes that the new toilets came in and hauled away the old toilets. They were very professional and extremely nice. I will definitely be keeping their number for all my future plumbing needs. Also I had them install 4 new toilet shut-off valves. Highly recommend using these plumbers.

It was a long drawn out process due to having to navigate inside the shower wall with all new parts. A cover plate was too small to cover the hole... that piece alone took over 2 months to receive. Three appointments later the job was done immaculately. Jose is a "Keeper for always!" The install became a whole day process, and not once did I hear frustration or agitation. He explained the alternate option and answered my questions and concerns. A genuinely excellent plumber with patience. The staff in the office always worked with my schedule and were professional and friendly with the reschedules. The pricing increased one time due to the extra work. I couldn't ask for more. Very grateful that Noah Langdon was on the job. He's very professional, knowledgeable and conscientious during the entire process. Having a water heater issue, I had previously asked for a repair from a different plumbing company which didn't even attempt to identify the issue but rather just tried to convince we needed to get an entirely new water heater (and at a cost that seemed way beyond the high end). Using Local Plumbing before, I finally called them before considering a replacement and Rick was able to diagnose the issue (although the heater was a bit old, he was able to identify the issue) and was able to fix it at a very reasonable price. They are now my go to company for plumbing services in Marin and will gladly call them for any future issues/repairs/installations. Just the knowing that they weren't trying to upsell unnecessary services, etc.

Alex kept me updated as to his arrival time. I opened the door to a very friendly happy plumber who put us at ease. He was professional and knowledgeable. Alex did a quick fix at a fair price so that we could celebrate Christmas that day.

This is one of the most disturbing service experiences our family has ever had. A plumber spent approximately 45 minutes in my grandparents’ in-law apartment for a routine issue. Before any payment was processed, he told my mother directly on the phone that the total cost would be $475, and she authorized that amount on her credit card. Weeks later, my grandmother received a bill for $2,872.22. When we contacted the company, both the plumber and the manager claimed the charge was “valid” because my grandfather had signed their tablet. What they failed to mention - and what makes this especially alarming - is that my grandfather is legally blind. He could not see the amount being charged, the terms, or what he was supposedly authorizing. Despite knowing:
1) The quoted and authorized price was $475
2) The signer was visually impaired 3) The service took under an hour They are now insisting that a nearly $3,000 charge stands. Let that sink in. They quoted one price, charged almost six times more, and are now hiding behind an electronic signature obtained from a blind elderly man. This is not a billing error. This is a business practice that raises very serious questions about how this company treats vulnerable customers and how often this happens to people who don’t have family members able to fight back. We are disputing this charge, documenting everything, and filing complaints with the credit card company and appropriate licensing and consumer protection agencies. If you have elderly parents, grandparents, or anyone with a disability - do not allow this company into your home. Proceed with extreme caution.

I knew that the next time an issue cropped up with the Duravit toilet, I’d be replacing it. After confirming it was not a clog, Marcos and I talked about other models. Once I settled on the model, he came back with a quote a few minutes later (quote was similar to others I had been provided in the past). He returned the next morning to do the install and hauled way the old one. He was efficient, courteous, professional, and taught me a little more about plumbing. I mentioned my disappointment that the developer failed to caulk the section of the tile behind the toilet…and Marcos took care of it. The CR&P team is customer oriented. Gloria and Samantha were fabulous and ensured that someone came out ASAP. Highly recommend and will use them again.

Chosen rooter is the most reasonable out of any company I’ve seen in the Bay Area, and Zack did excellent, quality work. Communicative, friendly, and gave me all the details with the projects and then some additional recommendations for future service. Had Steven come in and remove a stuck clothes hanger in my bathroom sink (no, really) but also had him take a look at a residential water heater that needed to be replaced. He did a good job of pointing out the problems with the existing setup and what my options were. We agreed on a plan, and he did a great job of setting it up. He's good with explaining things and giving you the pros and cons so you can choose something you're comfortable doing. He knows his craft is conscientious on the implementation. He understands the limits of what he can do.

Our water heater turned off. Josiah came out relit it and it's been fine since. He went into detail to explain to me how to do it if it happens again. Cordial, hard working young man. Then I showed him an old water pipe in our backyard that needed to be repaired. He did it and now it works again and looks much better that the old pipe from 1950's build. Great company. Will continue to use them when needed. Honest and straight forward. Five stars!!!
