Top Rated Plumbers in Lancaster
Benjamin Franklin Plumbing of Lancaster
518 Running Pump Rd, Lancaster, PA 17601, USA
(717) 384-1610Our garage started flooding at 4am as I was taking my wife to the airport. Turned off the water, drove her there, then came home and called Benjamin Franklin Plumbing and they said they’d be here today ASAP. They had someone on their way here by 10am the same morning, and by noon I had running water again. My technician, Matt, was my hero today. Nothing surprised him, he knew exactly where to look and what to do, and even unclogged the drain just because water was draining slowly. He was patient, informative, and clearly knew his stuff. That made me feel immediately confident, and he got it all done promptly and answered every question. Someone please give that guy a raise. Great service, great turnaround time, and a terrible Saturday that they turned into a grateful Saturday.
3 weeks agoTodd did a fantastic job when he came out. He explained the process of the work he was doing and was very thorough to ensure it was done correctly. They timely sent out a crew to dig up the pipe that was causing problems. Everyone was very kind and hard working. They were even careful to leave our sidewalk intact, when we had anticipated it being demolished.
2 weeks agoHector did a fantastic job! Replaced all copper lines, replaced all shut off valves, rerouted a few lines that were not in code, replaced main shut off valve coming in from the street, replaced kitchen faucet, installed a new garbage disposal unit. The list goes on! Now we have peace of mind with no worries on plumbing issues. GREAT JOB!!!

1852 Water St, Washington Boro, PA 17582, USA
(717) 684-2844We had just moved into the house and we had a whole house backup. Called our home warranty company, they sent a guy out from another company to run the snakes. One of our toilet flushed still caused the floor drain in the utility room to bubble. The fella suggested we reach out to a service line specialty company that has a camera to further inspect. We got R&B's name from a family member who recommended them. They scheduled and came out first thing the next day. They brought their camera, and quickly found the issue. They said they'll write up their report and have a quote to us within a few days. As promised, we got an email with the details. Prices were very reasonable, and thank goodness we had service line coverage with our homeowners policy (if you're reading this, go make sure your policy has that coverage!), which helped with the cost. They came out on the scheduled date and time, and worked throughout all morning and a good chunk of the afternoon to dig into our garage, remove the collapsed pipe, replaced it, poured concrete, and smooth everything out. They even had drop clothes on our floors as they needed to access our electrical panel a few times and put up plastic covering on the walls and belongings in the garage. It's been about a month since and very happy with everything!
9 months agoI wish every business operated with the level of professionalism and integrity that this company does. We needed to have a complete sewer line replacement in an older 1950's ranch house. After a very pleasant conversation with Eric about the scope of the job, the company came within 2 days and gave me an estimate that was a fraction of the cost of all three other estimates that we received. Then, after accepting the proposal, the job was completed within 3 days and everything has been working perfectly! I can't thank them enough and I would recommend them to anyone who needs this service, or any of the services they provide. They have restored my faith that there are some honest, hard-working businesses, who know their craft very well still operating out there.
2 years agoUnprofessional, un-empathetic and combative! My father is very sick and instead of listening to my father regarding cancelling the service call and providing any type of service, they screamed at him and told him he would be charged a service call fee. Once the invoice was received, we tried reaching to this horrible company and all their lines were “busy” even though the website states they are “open 24 hours 8 days a week”?!?!?!

1208 Harrisburg Pike Suite 101, Lancaster, PA 17603, USA
(717) 288-9700Davide did a fantastic job. He was on time. He explained everything and showed me my options. He was patient as I thought about the best price and option for me. He did a great job installing my new Delta faucet. The extra was that he was concerned and took care, making sure that I was satisfied. He also also gave me information on services that I might need at a later date. Excellent great job! Thank you, Davide
1 month agoNeffsville plumbing was able to provide me an appointment and resolution all within 24 hours. This quick and friendly service was a huge relief since I had just been in the hospital for over a week and came home to the leak. Mathew Cruz did a superb job, provided me with explanations for all my questions. Definitely recommend!
1 month agoI had a hot water heater go bad, made a call and that same night...yeah in the evening after hours we had a plumber come out. Great customer service. Travis was amazing. He presented multiple options and took the time to explain each options in detail. After making a decision later in the evening we called Travis back and he was there the next morning early to replace our water heater. The team at Neffsville is nothing short of amazing and professional! I would highly recommend this company and plan on using them for any issues I might face in the future that requires there expertise. Thank you Neffsville.
5 months agoLancaster Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electrical
1184 Enterprise Rd, East Petersburg, PA 17520, USA
(223) 244-2257Our aging high velocity central air system failed and we needed a new heating and cooling system in our home. We had several companies come out and give estimates for replacement systems but in the end we selected Lancaster Plumbing, Heating, Cooling and Electrical (LPHCE) and I am so glad that we did. LPHCE did an excellent job for us from start to finish. Our initial contact Ian supplied us with a wealth of knowledge regarding what our options were moving forward. He took the time to answer all of our questions and made sure to have multiple estimates drawn up before he left our property. He also kindly made himself available via text messaging when we had more questions later regarding our options. The estimate that we received was very fair and I got the sense that LPHCE was going to do everything that they could to secure our business. After considering our options we decided to have mini split heat pumps installed. Ian came out to our property again, this time with installation specialist Rick. They helped us finalize our plans for the installation and directly addressed a few lingering concerns that we still had. A week or so later a well organized installation team made short work of the project over the course of two days. While all of the techs assigned to the job were professional and courteous a special shout out goes to Ben for going up into the attic area and out on the roof to get the job done right. The end result is a system that operates as good as it looks. We are anticipating many comfortable years in our home thanks to the efforts of everyone at LPHCE. We plan to call on them in the future for our heating, cooling, plumbing, and electrical needs. I submit this review as a hardy recommendation to try out their services, particularly if you are in the market for a new heating and cooling system. They are family owned and locally operated. Most importantly they cared about doing the job, and they cared about doing it right.
4 months agoMike D. was excellent. He was punctual, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. I honestly have nothing bad to say. To be transparent, I had another plumbing company out prior to this visit, and while the outcome ended up being the same, I didn’t get the best vibes. Mike was the complete opposite. He took the time to explain everything clearly and thoroughly, which made a huge difference. Despite the cold weather, Mike went outside and removed the vent cap from the pipe in our front yard. He explained that it wasn’t technically up to code, and once he educated me on why, I completely agreed. He then had me flush a toilet so he could watch the water flow and reassured me that everything was moving properly — even showing me visually, which I really appreciated. He made a simple but effective fix by adding ventilation holes to the cap, secured it back in place, and then walked through the house with me one last time. He flushed the toilets again and explained that the remaining issue is the roof vent pipe being covered in snow and ice. I felt very confident in Mike’s work, his explanations, and his professionalism. I would absolutely recommend him and would not hesitate to call again.
1 month agoI had a great experience with Lancaster Plumbing Heating Cooling & Electrical from start to finish. The woman who fielded my call was so wonderful. She was calm, helpful, and kind to say the least. She guided me through the process of intake and setup of service. I could tell she cared about her job and helping others. Today technician Mike D. was dispatched to our house. He was so easy to work with. He had a few questions, took a look at our problem and said what he was going to. He didn’t start anything without clearly stating what he was going to do and made my husband and I feel like he really wanted to fix the problem. At no point did I feel pressure or upselling. He really was there to help and fix the problem. He was great, I highly recommend him. Very knowledgeable and friendly!

(717) 464-0111Incredibly pleased with the whole team on this furnace replacement! Zach (sales), and the fantastic install team (Tyler and John). We replaced an old (21yr) single-stage with a new WeatherMaker single-stage. The install crew were here early on a Saturday morning (8a), and even installed two new heat registers/exits in my basement ceiling. Also setup the new Honeywell smart thermostat and showed us how to navigate it. All done and dusted by 2p. And all in, installed cost was very reasonable and better than we anticipated, working with JK Mechanical. (Honestly was a bit bummed having to buy a new furnace right before Christmas, but it wasn’t nearly as painful as expected). 10/10 recommend this team. Sincerely, Craig (Lampeter-Strasburg resident, just moved to area 5mths ago)
2 months agoJK Mechanical has been servicing our HVAC system since installing it in 1999. The gas furnace finally failed after 26 years. Sale rep, Matt Kemper, was very personable and explained our options and recommenced a proper replacement. Great guy. The service techs, John and Dave were great, as well. Kept me informed of when they would arrive and explained the process from start to finish. They were very professional and obviously very experienced. We have always been happy with JK Mechanical service and would highly recommend them.
4 months agoJK Mechanical is the kind of company you hope you’ll find but rarely do. I first hired them for electrical work—twice now—and was blown away by how professional, punctual, and genuinely kind they were. So when my old pressure booster failed, I knew exactly who to call. That plumbing experience sealed it for me. I reached out to Wanda, their plumbing receptionist, around lunchtime because the borough unexpectedly shut the water off. Just 12 minutes later, a tech called me back—between jobs, no less—and patiently walked me through the issue. That kind of responsiveness and kindness is almost unheard of these days. Special thanks to Chris M. and Wanda for making every interaction smooth and stress-free. JK Mechanical doesn’t just get the job done—they set the standard for what customer service should be. update 10/6/25 Just had JK Mechanical replace and install new housing and wiring for the outside spotlights, and fix a poorly installed garage light that was out of code. As always, Brandon was incredibly nice and patient — JK Mechanical continues to deliver superior service.

Living in the heart of the Antelope Valley means dealing with unique high-desert plumbing challenges. From the intense mineral content in Lancaster's water supply to the stress put on pipes by our extreme seasonal temperature swings, a clogged drain is more than just a nuisance—it can quickly become a household emergency. Whether you are near the Antelope Valley Mall or out toward the Poppy Reserve, you need a solution that works fast. Our service takes the guesswork out of finding reliable help in Lancaster. Instead of you spending your afternoon calling down a list of names only to find out they are booked or don't service your area, we do the heavy lifting for you. We utilize a localized network of certified plumbers, filter them by your specific Lancaster zip code, and personally call them to verify they are ready to handle your specific drain issue right now.
Common Drain Issues in Lancaster
Hard Water Mineral Scaling: Lancaster is known for high mineral content in the local water. Over time, calcium and magnesium build up inside your pipes, creating a rough surface that catches hair and grease, leading to frequent and stubborn clogs.
High Desert Sediment Infiltration: The wind in the Antelope Valley frequently carries fine sand and grit. This desert sediment can find its way into your exterior drainage system or enter through shifted pipes, creating heavy blockages that require professional clearing.
Root Intrusion from Desert Landscapes: While we live in a dry climate, local trees like Willows or thirsty desert-adapted species will aggressively seek out the moisture in your sewer lines. These roots can penetrate older pipes, causing massive backups that a standard plunger can't touch.
Extreme Temperature Pipe Stress: The significant shift between scorching summer days and freezing winter nights in Lancaster causes pipes to expand and contract. This movement can lead to shifted joints where debris easily snags, eventually forming a complete blockage.
Seasonal Drain Maintenance Tips for Lancaster
Summer Odor Prevention: With Lancaster's heat, drain odors can quickly intensify. Periodically flush your kitchen drains with baking soda and vinegar to neutralize smells and clear minor organic buildup during the hottest months.
Fall Debris Clearing: Before the high winds of the Antelope Valley pick up, clear your gutters and outdoor area drains. This prevents leaves and desert brush from washing into your system during our rare but heavy rainstorms.
Winter Pipe Protection: Cold desert nights can cause external pipes to freeze and crack. Ensure any exposed drain lines are properly insulated to prevent blockages caused by ice or structural damage.
Spring Root Maintenance: After the winter moisture, desert trees go through a growth spurt. If you have older trees on your property, spring is the best time for a camera inspection to catch root intrusion before it causes a full sewer backup.
Average Drain Cleaning Costs in Lancaster
Prices in Lancaster vary based on the severity of the clog and its location. A simple sink snake typically costs less, while main sewer line clearing or hydro-jetting to remove mineral scale will be on the higher end.
Frequently Asked Questions about Drain Cleaning in Lancaster
Why do my Lancaster drains clog more often than in other cities?
The primary culprit in Lancaster is hard water. The high mineral content creates 'scale' inside your pipes, which acts like a magnet for hair, soap scum, and food waste, leading to more frequent blockages compared to areas with soft water.
How fast can you find a plumber near me in Lancaster?
Immediately. As soon as you provide your zip code, we filter our network of Lancaster-certified plumbers. We then call them to confirm someone is available to head to your home today before we even connect you.
Is hydro-jetting recommended for homes in the Antelope Valley?
Yes, hydro-jetting is often the best solution for Lancaster homes. Because of the heavy mineral deposits common in the area, a standard drain snake might only punch a hole through a clog, while hydro-jetting actually 'scrubs' the mineral scale off the pipe walls.
Do you offer emergency drain cleaning on weekends in Lancaster?
Yes. Our verification service operates 24/7. We understand that plumbing issues don't follow a 9-to-5 schedule, so we specifically look for and verify plumbers who offer after-hours and weekend availability in your specific zip code.
What are the most common signs of a main sewer line clog in Lancaster?
If you notice water backing up into your bathtub when you flush the toilet, or if multiple drains in your house are slow at the same time, it's likely a main line issue. This is common in Lancaster due to either root intrusion or shifting desert soil.
