We had signs of a potential water leak, so we called Roto-Rooter to see if we could get a service appointment. They were able to make an appointment for us the same day, and Jeff Brussee called us and walked us through the next steps. He arrived on time and was nice and helpful through the whole service experience. He explained the things that were wrong and showed how we could try and address them should the issues pop up again. We could tell that he really cared and we weren’t some job that he needed to rush through to get to the next. Mr. Rooter returned to my home, today 10/28/25 at my request to do a hydro-jet cleaning the drain in my basement. Uriel arrived on time and explained to me the process involved. Due to the accumulation of matter over the years it was a bit more difficult and after using the cable (snake) to break through and then utilizing the hydro-jet he completely cleared my drain. He even had me go outside and i could hear the water and feel the air that was being emitted from the street trap/vent, the gismos that we all have in front of our homes at the curb, which indicated that my pipe was open and cleared. Having my drain hydro-jet cleaned was a new experience for this senior. My washing machine d rain hose empties directly into a pipe and not my sink as it had done prior to a change and not able to attach a lint collector on the drain hose. I asked Uriel if it would be to my benefit if I switch the drain hose to drain in the sink so that a lint collector would be attached, thereby avoid having lint accumulate in my pipes. He agreed that this would help. So -my recommendation for anyone who has drain issues or other plumbing issues call Mr. Rooter, they have friendly, courteous and helpful technicians who will resolve your problem. This senior citizen is very grateful for Uriel's excellent service.

Alfredo arrived promptly as scheduled. He was polite, professional, and efficient. He cleaned up the job site before leaving and tested the plumbing. The work comprised of opening the wall and cutting a drain pipe to lower it to proper code and installing new plumbing below the kitchen sink.

Mr. Rooter was able to come and fix my sewer backup issue within the same morning. Alfredo was our plumbing technician and he was very professional and friendly. He took the time to explain to me how things work and was able to creatively solve some out of the box hiccups that arose during the service. Their pricing is not the cheapest but you get what you pay for. We would definitely recommend them for your plumbing issues.

Our technician Alfredo was amazing. He was quick and efficient! Our toilet was clogged and he helped us identify the problem. He also went above and beyond and checked on our plumbing under in the crawl space.

Sayed did a very good and thorough job for our main line drain blockage. He was very communicative, and efficient and gave me different options on how I want to proceed. Will definitely have him again in case of any issues.

Chris worked very hard clearing our kitchen sink drain pipe of a nasty grease and whatever clog. The first attempt at snaking the drain pipe did not work so he tried again and was successful despite the snake getting constantly jammed going down into the web of drain pipes. It took nearly two hours but Chris did not give up as I suspect others would have. Oh...and it was late at night and he was here until well after midnight. Roto Rooter needs more employees like Chris. And he is a very nice and friendly guy. Thank You Chris!!

Enrique the technician provided us with updates throughout the repair. Extremely efficient in repairing what I feel was a major repair but the expediency and marksmanship of his work is an example of the company having knowledgeable and experienced professionals. Very happy with this experience. Although I wouldn’t want to go through it again, they handled our water repair with urgency and professionalism.

Jesse from Roto-Rooter did an excellent job fixing our clogged kitchen sink. He arrived right on time, was very professional, and clearly explained what needed to be done. He worked efficiently and had the issue resolved within an hour. Everything is draining perfectly now. I really appreciate his prompt service and professionalism. Highly recommend Jesse!

They did a great job and found the issue with our sink and fixed it really quickly. I should have called them years ago. It was clearly clogged with things we could have never removed ourselves. They used their machine with a cutter on it, and cleaned out the line. It was incredible what came back on the cutter. Embarrassingly, it's the first time in 30 years this sink has worked properly. They cleaned up, and put things back the way they were. Very happy we called them, should have called years ago.

Ricky was knowledgeable, quick, and efficient. He immediately got to asking questions on the problem I was experiencing as my toilet and bathtub were both clogged. He got to work and quickly resolved the problem for us. Also shout out to Cameron, field team leader, he also assisted by running a camera through the pipes and made sure there are no more roots. James and Trevor were absolutely amazing! I had three other plumbers attempt to fix my clogged drain problem. All three of them spent hrs and still couldn’t get it done. All three other companies suggested we had to knock the wall down to get to the issue, but James was able to find the it within the first few minutes. There experience level was clearly much greater than all the prior plumbers that attempted the job.

We had a main drain line backup. Keith came out and was able to clear it up in no time! He managed to clear all of the roots blocking the pipe and showed us the water able to run freely after he was done. I highly recommend requesting Keith if you have similar issues, he knows his stuff.

Had my kitchen sink garbage disposal repaired by Christian (from Palo Alto office). He was awesome, quick and provided informative insight on how to better maintain my garbage disposal. Would highly recommend!

On Christmas Day, I had a sewer backup at my house and I was feeling panicked since I had to be some place that day for celebrations. I called Roto-Rooter not knowing if I could have someone come out on such short notice on a holiday. To my pleasant surprise, their dispatcher said they could send someone out In about 40 minutes. In a timely manner, a very nice gentleman named Rick arrived and immediately went to work. Rich was working under some difficult conditions. First of all it was cold, windy, and raining. Second, it was difficult to access the sewer cleanout. It was buried under some dirt and a bush made access challenging. In spite of this, Rich had a pleasant demeanor and when I asked if I could help he said he didn't need it. After an hour of work and some difficulty getting the plumber's snake to go towards the street, he cleared the blockage and the problem was solved. As a result of this experience, I highly recommend Roto-Router and I want to give my highest commendation to Rick for coming out on Christmas Day. I also want to add a commendation for Jose Leon who was a second employee of Roto-Rooter. Jose was called to my home by Rick because Jose had a fiber optic cable with a camera that he used to inspect the condition of my sewer line. He discovered that there were roots growing in the sewer line that had caused the backup and Rick returned to my home to with an additional tool to cut out the protruding roots. These two worked smoothly as a team to do the additional work.

Lejla and John were fantastic. Arrived within the window, were very straight forward and professional. Highly recommend either or ideally both!

David Dukes was knowledgeable of steps needed to determine causes and possible solutions for problems with 2 toilets. He made effective repairs, had great communication of possible solutions, good use of time, clean up and discussion of future symptoms to monitor for further repairs. Would definitely call again for services Great experience with this service technician. Offered good senior discount making price even more reasonable.

Richard was fantastic - very knowledgeable, quick and tidy in his work. Explained everything clearly and gave us knowledge on how to prevent/maintain good drainage/sewer lines in the future. He got us out of a pickle. Great service!

Rich saved the day when our shower was backing up and found the culprit in a massive hair ball! He was patient, customer service oriented and very courteous as he releived us of our bezoar burden. He answered all of our questions and spent the necessary time ensuring the job was done right. Richard service technician 7280 from Roto-Rooter's team made the experience of getting plumbing done at my home painless. Additionally he spent the extra effort and time to explain the service he provided. Roto-Rooter isn't the cheapest option in the Bay area but the service quality provided by this individual made it worth the investment and he worked with me to find a price that I could agree on. I hope someone at his company is able to read this review because it was absolutely his work and professionalism that made me decide to say yes to the service as well as satisfied upon its completion.

I ‘m very impressed with Roto Rooter! Their customer service, and plumber who provided the service are top notch! Within 15 minutes I received a call from Katria. She confirmed an appointment and explained the assigned plumber would call me , and set up a time to come. Jerry called, I described the issue, we were able to narrow down the problem (most likely). He came out within a reasonable timeframe, told me the price after he checked it out externally , and I agreed. After removing the toilet, he looked and found the issue as he had suspected: The past contractor who upgraded our bathroom and installed the toilet had put in the wrong kind of seal. The first photo is two small seals, that don’t seal to fill the gap. Instead, as shown in photo 2, Jerry put in a 2” wax seal that would fix the problem of air gap, which also caused a slightly unpleasant smell at times (no leakage of excrement thank goodness! 😅) Jerry zoned right in on the problem with lazer focus, and did not do anything that was unnecessary. Some people might say it’s pricey, but I would rather have peace of mind knowing that the plumber knows what they are doing and is fair in the dealings with unexpected add ons. I also have had the unpleasant experience of witnessing all the problems caused by a plumber that did not know what they were doing at my parent’s property. Believe me, years of leakage can cause HUGE problems and big $$$$! I really appreciate the professionalism of these two employees, Katria and Jerry R. as well as Roto Rooter as a company! Bravo! 👏

Rick was professional, friendly and efficient. He explained everything and treated me like I could understand it. Which I very much appreciate. No hard core sales pitch, just facts that helped me decide.

Timothy was my technician and Roto Rooter got the job because they showed up first. I tried my best to fix the plumbing issue we had in our home on a Sunday afternoon with no success. Timothy took care of the problem and made sure to clean up after himself. The job was wrapped up in no time. Only issue was I didn’t get an invoice for the work because Timothy said he was out of them and that the office would reach out after the weekend to get me one. It took a while but John from the Livermore office reached out and made things right. Overall the customer service was on point. I would recommend Roto Rooter to family and friends. They get the job done and in the end they get it done right.

I received a recommendation from a friend for this plumber. I was so glad that I called. I texted Jose the owner yesterday about my toilet running water. He replied and came today to my home. He looked at the toilet and recommended a new valve for my toilet. He gave me a quote and I accepted and he went right to work. The work was done within thirty minutes and I was completely satisfied with the work. I will definitely call again for future plumbing work.

Amazing work. So clean and professional. I had a leak in my shower. A delta shower cartridge he fixed it and shared recommendations that helped me around the entire house. Thank you Jose and JC plumbing you guys are the best.

VERY GOOD experience. You don't want a mediocre or bad experience with a plumber. My Navien tankless water heater suddenly had something wrong with the heating cycle. I looked at the Navien website for authorized repairs and installers and called 3 in the area. 2 never replied, Jose at JC was very prompt. He was here within a day, diagnosed the problem with Navien tech-support, the problem was a Check valve that needed to be replaced. He ordered the part locally and came back installed it. His final bill for services was $100 less than his initial quote. He kept his workspace tidy, cleaned everything up before he left. He reminded me his services include Repairing and installing all sorts of Hot water systems, including tankless, and any plumbing problems including rooter service. He can repair or replace your toilet and faucets. I will definitely use Jose again, and have recommended him to family and friends. I do not think you will be disappointed.
