235 Vista Village Dr Suite 1009, Vista, CA 92083, USA
(760) 691-2327My house was built in 1969 and the bathroom sink was completely clogged. Ron, (the best of all plummers I have ever encountered), was unable to snake. Ron, evaluated old cast iron pipe and provided pictures/movie of crawl space. Once he removed a section of pipe, it was completely blocked with sludge and debris. Ron, removed the 10-12 ft old cast iron pipe, installed new with easy to reach clean out plug. Ron stayed at task at hand & completed the 6 + hr job. No complaining, just focused on getting completed. No mess, congenial, and very competent! Hard job but done well!
4 months agoI had them come out to my place both on Monday and Tuesday to change my tub / shower into a walk in shower! They did a great job! Both Will and Jose were respectful and fast working! I’m sincerely happy that they did the work!
3 months ago⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly Recommend! I had such a great experience with this plumber. Super friendly, showed up right on time, and actually explained everything in a way I could understand. The job was done quickly, cleanly, and way better than I expected. You can tell he really knows what he’s doing. The price was fair, the work was solid, and he made sure everything was working perfectly before leaving. Honestly one of the best service experiences I’ve had — I’d 100% call him again and recommend him to anyone who needs plumbing work done!

3 months agoClearwater Plumbing and Drains, Inc.
179 Roymar Rd a, Oceanside, CA 92058, USA
(760) 420-6281Clearwater Plumbing & Drains, Inc. gets five stars and a standing ovation. I messaged them via the Thumbtack app at 1:00 AM (I've got a newborn.. IYKYK) and by 8:00 AM a technician was at our door - faster than my coffee kick-in. The tech was friendly, patient, and actually listened to me explain the problem without pretending he didn't already know how to fix it. (Solid dude.) He diagnosed our leaky shower, gave us a few different solutions, did a water quality test on the spot (turns out our water had a heck ton of chlorine and ammonia — love that for my skincare routine), and walked us through options for filters and a whole-home system. We’d already been “researching” filtration for about a year, which is a polite way of saying we kept meaning to. Clearwater made the decision easy. We agreed to a Halo whole-home system. They fixed the original leak, flushed our tankless heater, and installed the filtration system — all in under three hours. Water was off for a very short period of time, and our lives were not inconvenienced (my household’s tolerance for inconvenience is pretty low). The crew was professional, efficient, and somehow pleasant while doing manual labor — suspicious, but appreciated. From the Thumbtack rep to the initial tech to the installation team, every interaction was five stars. It’s been less than 24 hours since I reached out and now we have the freshest water in the neighborhood. Not a paid review — although I would accept future discounts or unsolicited plumbing expertise. Highly recommend Clearwater for anything that involves water behaving badly.
6 months agoOne of mg shower did not have pressure from the fresh water line, but has a good pressure from the hot water side. Everything in the house has good pressure except this one shower. I called in the warranty company for repair, they changed the valve still the same problem, they just gave up and blamed the city water company for clogging that water line. With the issue unresolved, I called Clearwater plumbing and they booked me the earliest appointment they can put me in. Joseph checked the problem and was able to fix it in less than 30mins. Fast and professional. Highly recommend this company! They truly deserves the 5 star ratings.
7 months agoCouldn’t be happier with the services we received. Our 15 year old water heater went out on us. The team at Clearwater Plumbing was top notch. I called in the am and they were here a couple hours later. Joe was super knowledgeable and helpful. Diagnosed the issue pretty quickly and gave us a few different options. We replaced our current water heater with a tankless and they got the install done in a day. Ismael and Spencer were very professional! Ismael stayed until the evening hrs to get the job done - he was very thorough and knowledgable. We were so appreciative!! They are now our go to plumber when/if we need them again. Don't hesitate to call them for your plumbing needs!

4 months agoASAP Drain Guys & Plumbing
12150 Dearborn Pl, Poway, CA 92064, USA
(760) 281-2008I strongly recommend ASAP Drain Guys & Plumbing, especially technician Mathew, for their outstanding service. I contacted ASAP yesterday afternoon after my tenant reported a toilet drainage issue. The company informed me that a technician would be on the way within two hours and confirmed that no emergency or urgency fee would be charged. (I had contacted several other plumbing companies before deciding on ASAP.) Mathew demonstrated excellent plumbing expertise and strong communication skills. Upon arrival, he quickly identified that tree roots were the primary cause of the blockage in the drainage line. He clearly explained the issue and provided several repair options. After 2–3 hours of dedicated work cutting and clearing the roots from the drainage system, the toilet was fully restored and flushing smoothly again. My tenant is extremely satisfied with the results. ASAP charged exactly as quoted — with no hidden fees or emergency charges — and even provided a $75 discount. I truly appreciate their professionalism, transparency, and quality workmanship, and I would highly recommend them to anyone. Here is comment received from Tenant. "The flushing process is better than any time we’ve been here. Definitely better than the last few years."
3 months agoThere has been a recurring main plumbing line problem that I have been dealing with for years... which ended up being a piece of 2" ABS in my 3" main line, likely from the previous owner and not disclosed when I purchased the home. Initially company "X" came out and gave me an estimate but said they could not guarantee their work. I waited and dealt with the problem on my own for years and finally had a friend refer me to ASAP. I could not be happier and super pleased to have 2 gentlemen Andrew & Angel do an excellent job on my property. Office staff was very thorough, communicative, and friendly. I would highly recommend to anyone... and of course they fixed the problem!

2 months agoAmazing all around! My little battery operated water alarm alerted me late last night that my water heater started to leak at the base. I called Pure Pro Plumbing's main number late morning, spoke with Nathan who was very friendly, professional, and helpful. He got Manny out to me within a few hours. Communication was very good leading up to the appointment. Manny arrived on time and was also very friendly and professional. I ended up needing to replace the water heater. The price for parts and labor was very reasonable; Manny also ensured that I have a new safety net feature installed plus he went over everything with me when he was finished. He put everything back for me as well as he learned I'm dealing with an injury. I highly recommend Pure Pro Plumbing!!

4 months agoProfessional Drain Cleaning in Encinitas, California
Living in Encinitas means enjoying the coastal breeze and the surf at Moonlight Beach, not dealing with a backed-up kitchen sink or a flooded bathroom. When a drain emergency strikes in North County, the last thing you want to do is spend an hour calling local shops only to find out they’re booked through the weekend. Our service simplifies the process by scanning our local network of 15 certified plumbers and filtering specifically for your zip code.
We go the extra mile by calling the plumbers in our Encinitas network to confirm they have a technician available to solve your specific issue today. Whether you’re in Leucadia, Cardiff-by-the-Sea, or Olivenhain, we ensure that when you connect with a pro, they are actually ready to get to work immediately, saving you time and stress.
Common Drain Issues in Encinitas, California
Beach life is great, but sand is a silent killer for Encinitas plumbing. If you live near the coast, sand often finds its way into shower drains and laundry lines after a day at Swami's, creating heavy, stubborn clogs that standard liquid cleaners simply cannot move.
In the more established neighborhoods like Old Encinitas, many homes still have original clay or cast-iron pipes. Over time, these can develop hairline cracks that attract the roots of mature Eucalyptus and Jacaranda trees, leading to severe main line blockages that require professional hydro-jetting.
The salty marine layer that makes Encinitas so beautiful also accelerates the corrosion of metal plumbing components. This often leads to scale buildup inside older pipes and failing shut-off valves, which can complicate even a simple drain cleaning job if not handled by a local expert familiar with coastal wear.
Many Encinitas homes feature modern outdoor showers and guest ADUs. These secondary drains are often overlooked during routine maintenance, leading to unexpected backups during peak summer rental seasons or after large family gatherings along the coast.
Seasonal Drain Maintenance Tips for Encinitas, California
Post-Summer Sand Flush: After the peak beach season in September, have your primary shower drains professionally inspected. Fine Pacific sand can settle in the P-traps, hardening over time and significantly narrowing the passage for wastewater.
Fall Rain Prep: Before the winter rains hit San Diego County, ensure your area drains and yard grates are clear of debris. Encinitas hillsides can experience significant runoff, and a clogged yard drain can lead to costly property flooding or foundation issues.
Holiday Disposal Care: With the holidays bringing more guests to the North County coast, avoid putting fibrous vegetables or grease down your disposal. Encinitas’s hilly terrain can sometimes slow down local drainage, making these clogs even more problematic for older sewer lines.
Spring Root Maintenance: As local flora begins its spring growth spurt, consider a camera inspection if you have large trees near your sewer line. Catching root intrusion early prevents the total line collapses often seen in the more wooded areas of Olivenhain.
Average Drain Cleaning Costs in Encinitas, California
Pricing in Encinitas reflects the local cost of labor and the complexity of coastal plumbing. Simple snake services start lower, while specialized hydro-jetting for sand or root removal typically falls on the higher end of the spectrum.
Frequently Asked Questions about Drain Cleaning in Encinitas, California
How fast can I get a plumber in Encinitas?
By verifying availability before you even pick up the phone, we often find technicians who can arrive at your Encinitas home within 2 to 4 hours, even during busy weekends.
Do you service the Olivenhain and Village Park areas?
Yes, our zip code filtering covers all of Encinitas, including Olivenhain, Village Park, Leucadia, and Cardiff-by-the-Sea.
Is 24/7 service available for emergency backups?
Absolutely. We specifically check for 24-hour availability within our network of 15 local plumbers to ensure you aren't left with a sewage backup overnight.
Why are my drains constantly slow in my beach cottage?
It is often a combination of aging cast-iron pipes and sand accumulation. Many older Encinitas homes require a professional descaling or hydro-jetting to restore full flow.
Does the salt air affect my indoor plumbing?
While it primarily affects exposed exterior fixtures, the brine in the air can accelerate the degradation of older metal drain lines and vent stacks common in coastal Encinitas properties.
