Eduardo arrived promptly, got right to work, and finished the drain cleaning quickly. He also worked "clean" and gave useful advice on how to avoid clogged drains in a very old plumbing system. Five stars are not enough!

Erick and Jordan did a fantastic job replacing old rusted leaking pipes in the bathroom (shower) interior, in the basement and exterior of the building. They are experienced, skilled and knowledgeable. I appreciated that they took the time to explain what they were doing. They both are very congenial and service oriented. It was a pleasure to work with them. I will definitely ask for them in the future! Satchiko and Xandra were both great at helping me schedule the full day of work that needed to be done, answered all my questions when I called several times and helped me coordinate meeting Erick and Jordan to show them a last minute toilet issue. Thomas was very skillful when he came to give an estimate. He has a keen eye and showed me potential issues I hadn’t noticed. I’m very satisfied with Heise’s work!

Jose was outstanding. He came in and fixed what we had been told by another plumber was an unsolvable problem with our faucet and that our entire faucet would need to be replaced. Instead Jose expertly repaired it, checked the other faucets and installed a new mechanism in our toilet. Not having to change out two sets of faucets for new ones also saved us a ton of money in parts and labor. Can't recommend Heise's highly enough.

Marlon and team came initially for a snake cam inspection due to sewer stoppage under the crawlspace and found major cast iron pipe under the house was severely corroded and leaking in the crawlspace. A whole section of cast iron pipe was taken out and replaced with modern ABS piping. However down the line there was clay pipe that was also flooded. This damn house was build in 1955 and perhaps older sewer pipes with pre-existing foundation on an older home prior. After a sewer clean-out built for further cleaning and inspection, multiple spots along the clay pipe had root intrusion causing sewer accumulation and stoppage. Since spot repairs will not solve a near-century old problem as earth movement and tree roots will further compromise the clay pipe, a trench-less repiping was deployed from under the house to the sewer main to get rid of any cast iron and clay pipe, as it's been at least 70 years since the sewer pipe had any service or upgrade. An 20-ft epoxy prepared line pulled with pressured air pump was done from the new clean-out outside to the section under the patio and house. Then a trench-less pipe bursting shoved a 50ft+ ABS pipe all the way to the sewer main. The team worked diligently everyday during the stormy days to get the job done, except one day during the epoxy curing followed by a mother of all storm when weather god had a bad Valentine's date. Empathy was practiced to make sure we had least inconvenience. Thanks to Marlon for his friendliness that came a long way. And George who took the time to explain the finer detail to make sure things were well taken cared of. I came to experience how the backyard soil became soft enough to dig holes on a few occasions but short of any Shawshank redemption escape experience along the sewer trench. Works Plumbing took care of the rest from the initial phone answering, organized communication, hard-work team effort, to reseating the toilet and caulking that was better than it was first installed. Great job to all. Well, it ain't cheap, but a clean sewer will save sanity for ages to come. Cast iron and clay pipe suck, don't let them ruin your shower, kitchen, and bathroom experience. 12/5/25 - Handy Man Plumbing helped me identify a clog in my sewer line with a thorough inspection. They gave me a competitive quote for installing a house clean out and cleaning the sewer line. The installation was done quickly and avoided messing up the yard. Highly recommended. 12/16/25 - Update. I decided to have Handy Man Plumbing replace my very old sewer lines under my house. Their quote was the most competitive. They kept our place clean during their work, sealing off our rooms from dust and covering the floors. They were very thorough, replacing all old GI pipes and even some old ABS pipes. While the scope of work was for "horizontal" pipe replacement, they did their best to replace as many "vertical" pipes that they could without opening any drywall (shower drains, toilet flanges). They also helped me repair some bad water supply pipes the noticed while doing their work. They didn't try to upsell me on trying to replace all my water supply lines, and with these repairs, said it should be good for a while. In all of this, they did not charge any additional fees for the extra work they did (i.e. needing to dig under two foundation walls, doing extra repairs, or needing an extra day of work). Highly recommended.

This is a long overdue review about a water boiler replacement I had done in October 2024. As a new homeowner, I trusted the expertise and professionalism of the people I hired. Unfortunately, that trust was misplaced. The handyman, Patricio Lozano, removed my old water boiler, which had copper piping. At the time, I didn’t realize that copper piping has resale value. What I later learned is that any materials removed from the property still belong to the homeowner unless permission is given otherwise. At no point did he ask whether I wanted to keep the copper piping or if he could take it with him. He simply removed it and left with it. I later learned that the proper and professional thing to do would have been to either leave the materials behind or ask for permission before taking them. That never happened. From my perspective, my property was taken without my knowledge or consent. Another moment during the job also raised concerns for me. While working, he asked me if I spoke Spanish. When I said no, he proceeded to have a phone conversation in Spanish right in front of me discussing something related to the job. I obviously couldn’t understand what was being said, but the timing of the question and the conversation felt uncomfortable and unprofessional. I was also disappointed with the quality of the replacement work. The copper piping was replaced with a very dirty-looking PVC pipe. When I asked the company if this was normal, they said it was, but the finished result looked a little questionable. I would genuinely like the company to explain the justification for taking a customer’s property without permission. At the very least, homeowners should be informed and given the choice about what happens to materials removed from their home. Homeowners should make sure to clearly discuss what happens to removed materials before allowing work to begin. I’ve included photos showing the water boiler copper piping before and the pvc piping after so others can see the difference for themselves.

Mr Arturo Lopez was fantastic. He arrived on time with pre-arrival notification and tracking available. Arturo was knowledgeable, neat and efficient. He took the time to show me the repair and explain why it was needed. This was a two step process with technician Denis Orellana first diagnosing the issues and providing a quote. Once I accepted the quote and scheduled the service, Arturo Lopez arrived to make the necessary repairs. 100% trustworthy service by a two really nice guys. The plumber was able to fix the issue but left hand stains all over my wall (which I’ll have to paint over), plumbers putty on my fence (from going in and out, which I couldn’t clean off with a wet rag) and also charged me for services that he didn’t perform ($500!!). I’m still waiting for a refund and it’s been over a week!! I’ve called them and they keep telling me someone will call me back about the refund but still no response! On top of that, I believe they have shady practices. I originally called to clear a clog. They needed to replace the tub drain pipe because the drain plug was seized. He still recommended snaking the pipe after (which he charged me for) but I just told him I’d wait and see. When he installed the drain plug, I think he purposely adjusted it so it sits a little low only allowing a slow drain because the water drained actually slower than before he showed up. I think he did that to get a call back to do the snake! But I adjusted the plug to sit higher and it was fine. Will not be using them again and definitely do not recommend! UPDATE: After posting this review, they finally reached out and settled the difference for work not performed.

I give 5 starts to Works Plumbing as I have been a customer of their for 3 years and highly recommend their services. Very knowledgeable, reliable and professional all the technicians they employ. Travis did an exceptional job with his team today 1/12/24 by reinstalling my tank less water heater. He finished the job to my expectations and not to mention cleaned up afterwards. Very satisfied!

On Xmas day, the hot water faucet handle on my kitchen sink fell off and created a geyser. I called several plumbing companies who gave high consultation fees. Most weren’t available until the next day. Fortunately, I found Advanced Plumbing and Drain. Tim answered the phone and scheduled me for the next day between 7-8. Alex kept me updated as to his arrival time. I opened the door to a very friendly happy plumber who put us at ease. He was professional and knowledgeable. Alex did a quick fix at a fair price so that we could celebrate Christmas that day.

We had an issue late Sunday afternoon with our kitchen sink. We called their service, and they arrived promptly early Monday morning. The technician was knowledgeable, courteous, and thorough. He explained the problem and showed us how to prevent future issues: avoid putting too much food in the garbage disposal, and run hot water with detergent once a week to help prevent clogs. I highly recommend this company!

Arch has been servicing my building for years. First with a new water heater, which required the old heater to be sawed in half to make it down the stairwell. They are resourceful, creative and have a can do attitude. My point person, June, helped initiate an emergency issue. Mark and Clarice came and serviced us with replacing a corroded pipe, installing a new expansion tank and backflow components. Could not have been nicer and very efficient. June followed up to ensure the work was completed as discussed. Plumbing is expensive but their prices seem reasonable compared to others in the city and their attention to detail, service and follow up makes it worth it. Thank you!

We had a great experience with Works Plumbing. Marlon and Willy came out for preventative maintenance and did an excellent job. They flushed the sewer drain clean and went the extra mile by inspecting the pipes under the house to understand the connections. Very thorough, professional, and knowledgeable. This is one of the most disturbing service experiences our family has ever had. A plumber spent approximately 45 minutes in my grandparents’ in-law apartment for a routine issue. Before any payment was processed, he told my mother directly on the phone that the total cost would be $475, and she authorized that amount on her credit card. Weeks later, my grandmother received a bill for $2,872.22. When we contacted the company, both the plumber and the manager claimed the charge was “valid” because my grandfather had signed their tablet. What they failed to mention - and what makes this especially alarming - is that my grandfather is legally blind. He could not see the amount being charged, the terms, or what he was supposedly authorizing. Despite knowing:
1) The quoted and authorized price was $475
2) The signer was visually impaired 3) The service took under an hour They are now insisting that a nearly $3,000 charge stands. Let that sink in. They quoted one price, charged almost six times more, and are now hiding behind an electronic signature obtained from a blind elderly man. This is not a billing error. This is a business practice that raises very serious questions about how this company treats vulnerable customers and how often this happens to people who don’t have family members able to fight back. We are disputing this charge, documenting everything, and filing complaints with the credit card company and appropriate licensing and consumer protection agencies. If you have elderly parents, grandparents, or anyone with a disability - do not allow this company into your home. Proceed with extreme caution.

Dickson and his team were so great to work with. We were caught in a bind with a water pipe leak - they were onsite within 30 minutes and quickly assessed the project and provided a quote. Very professional and thorough folks. I called them for a same day emergency leak under the sink and they arrived within the hour. They diagnosed the issue and had everything ready in the van. After addressing the issue, Dandy also fixed the RO system installation that had led to the issue. I’d highly recommend them for all plumbing and RO water installation needs.

Genteel Plumbers is committed to doing jobs right and to having satisfied customers. I called them to fix some plumbing issues with our clothes washer (both the hot and cold lines were coming from the hot water heater). They sorted out the problem but when they went to turn the main back on, it wouldn’t come on. Turns out the main line under the driveway was deteriorating. So they pulled all their available crew to come to our house to do an emergency main line replacement, which involved digging a trench in the driveway. Mind you it’s mid-day already and we are leaving for a vacation the next day. They worked as efficiently as they could to get everything finished and just before dark (probably 8pm since this was early July) they drove away. I was incredibly impressed with their workmanship and dedication to getting the job done on our deadline, and they were so kind and respectful. However, the speed with which they had to work meant that they couldn’t put much time and attention to the driveway repair. So I mentioned a few months later that I wasn’t happy with the driveway and they agreed that it wasn’t their best work. I said it wasn’t urgent so anytime they could come repair it would be great. Then early this week they called and said they would repair the driveway. Two days of work later it looks brand new. I will use Genteel Plumbers for all of my plumbing needs in the future. I’ve never experienced a company so committed to customer satisfaction and all around they are incredibly kind, skilled, and quality people.
