Top Rated Plumbers in Reno
Rooter Man Plumbing of Reno
2890 Vassar St Suite B12, Reno, NV 89502, USA
(775) 525-6999The team from Rooter Man help us with our sewer clean out pipe clog quickly. Daniel was patient with us as we tried to figure out how we wanted to deal with the work and made sure the work was done fast so we could get back to normal. We really appreciate their service.
5 months agoI had a blocked sanitary sewer line from my kitchen so I called to get the line snaked. I was informed that there would be a $200 non-refundable call out charge which I was fine with. The service was prompt and professional and a technician (Dan) was at my house in about an hour. Dan was clean, professional, knowledgeable and knew his business. The rub came when Dan told me what the final bill was going to be after he snaked the line… $695! By this time, I was already on the hook for the $200 call out charge so they had me over the barrel. I bit my tongue and said get it done. 15 minutes later, Dan had the line cleared and ran my card for $695. I’ve had lines snaked before and the bill NEVER topped $300. To get charged nearly $700 for 15 minutes of work is beyond rediculous. If you do call these folks, get a quote BEFORE they send anyone to your home.
2 months ago$4000.00 for 4 hours work installing a bathtub fixture and still left me with a hole impossible to cover. I can’t believe this! UPDATE I appreciated the call from Ralph the owner. I popped off early due to sticker shock. I regret it. I’ve had Jessie at my place several times over the years. He’s a good plumber and a good guy. Jessie, did you let your helper cut that nasty hole? No worries. I’ll fab something.

2 months agoDr. Plumber
100 Arden Cir, Reno, NV 89503, USA
(775) 333-9880Wow! That was my wife's, daughter's and my remark after using Dr. Plumber for the first time. Jack was great! We called him at 2 PM and told him we were having a going away dinner for our daughter and we had a plugged up kitchen drain line which presented a problem. He said he could help us out even though one of his employees had called in sick that day and he was busy with his regular appointments. He fit us into his schedule, arrived on time and fixed our kitchen sink problem, and then the GOOD news, the price was GREAT - really GREAT. When I find a great service provider in the Reno/Sparks area I want to pass this information on to others. Yes, I would use him again in a heartbeat! By the way, I suggest you start using Google+, not Yelp. Yelp started charging $$$ to the business for listing client information! Frank and Kathy
13 years agoDr. Plumber (Jack) fixed a leaking gas line for me pronto. Finally a contractor that cares about his reputation and quality of work while at the same time being reasonable during these tough economic times. Great communication all the way through.

Jose arrived promptly and discovered the root cause of the leak. Making quick work of replacing the failed shower drain and testing for leaks, Jose completed the repair within one hour. Without doubt I will recommend Jose from Pro Plumbing & Drain for future plumbing problems.

3 weeks agoThe Rooter Bee LLC
405 Marsh Ave, Reno, NV 89509, USA
(775) 453-0776I had an old sewer line that needed to be rooted and eventually replaced. I called three companies within a span of a few weeks to clean out the roots. AJ told me that for some reason the other companies had not fully cleaned out the line, which is what I had already suspected based on the camera footage of the line the other companies showed me and the fact that the sewer kept backing up. However, the old line was ceramic pipe from the 40s and def needed to be replaced. All three companies gave me quotes to replace the line, and Rooter Bee’s was definitely the best value. They were very efficient and trustworthy. I was impressed by the quality of their work and professionalism. I highly recommend their plumbing services!
1 year agoCannot recommend enough! We had some major root intrusion in our sewer line and were told by other companies that we were going to need to dig/redo the whole line for $20k. AJ came over right away and gave us a full diagnosis of the issue with honest and thorough recommendations. After cleaning out the line we are now in the clear for the next year while we continue to monitor for issues. The experience was leaps and bounds above any other company we have worked with in Reno and we will definitely be sticking with Rooter Bee for all future needs!
8 months agoI placed a service call on a Friday afternoon. I made this call on behalf of my mother who was out of town and found out she had a leak in her backyard. She returned on Friday, but had no water. The neighbor shut off the main water in order to avoid further water damage. AJ’s empathy and understanding towards my elderly mother’s concerns didn’t go unnoticed. AJ came out Friday early evening and turned the water back on and identified the leak. AJ had to come back the next day to cap the pipe that was leaking. FYI I live in California and wasn’t able to get there until Saturday. This gentleman was amazing and I will have him now be our plumber of record. The company is lucky to have him represent “The RooterBee.” Thank you again AJ.
6 months agoIra Hansen and Sons Plumbing
58 Hardy Dr, Sparks, NV 89431, USA
(775) 626-7777Plumber listened to what I needed done. He did the two things I asked. And then he showed me how to fix my kitchen sink with an allen wrench. Not sure I could do it but could try if my faucet only gives hot water again. He was very pleasant and got my two repairs (a slow drain in my bathroom sink) done in under one half hour. He did just charge me the service fee call of $150, so that was nice of him. But I am just surprised for those two very small jobs that the fee was $150. Maybe every company has a flat rate to make a call. And I appreciate he did not charge me more. Guess the shock is the original service fee is pretty high for a divorced senior living on a fixed income to pay. Seems maybe there might be a waiver of the flat rate with something a bit lower for seniors. Thank you!
1 month agoSteve and Cody were amazing, they worked on our water shut off valve. I was super nervous because it has leaked before but they were quick and efficient, super polite. We were going to do pavers but they informed us over time they would shift so we went with concrete. However they could've just given us what we wanted and not educated us which saved us time in the long run. Definitely holding onto their card for future work. Thank you!
2 months agoGreat work on installing my new water heater. Steve explained everything I needed to know as for maintenance in the future. He cleaned up as if he wasn’t there. Highly recommend this company.
1 month agoHoffman Plumbing
1855 Sullivan Ln Ste 270, Sparks, NV 89431, USA
(775) 210-8550Steve was great! He was professional, knew what he was doing, was amenable to my need for to remove and place my pavers one paver at a time, conscientious of the expense, and a great singer…always a happy tune and a smile. Daniel was phenomenal. He is so kind and thoughtful. I appreciate his patience and thoroughness to the job. He was early to the job and cheerful throughout the day. His attention to the details has not gone to waste. He showed me where the problems in the system were and explained how a solution would take effect. Collectively, they completed the repair and replacement of the system with a wonderful disposition and awareness to me (the homeowner). Thank you for sending these two to my home to do this job. Wonderful.
3 months agoWe had a water heater completely fail at 0100 in the morning. Luckily our little water sensor sounded the alarm but the damage was done. I immediately called Hoffman Plumbing and left a message. They had our plumbing crew at the house at 0800 sharp. The technicians were Daniel Bustos and Timothy Baylor. These guys were a God send, polite, hard workers, and dedication to their trade. Several nights they worked until 8pm because they didn't want to leave us without hot water or heat. Amazing guys. They worked on our house 4 straight days and also did all the repair work under the house too. My wife and I cannot say enough about these guys and Hoffman in General. They go beyond to make sure it is done and done right! It is an older house and required a lot of work plus a new on demand water system.
1 month agoHOFFMAN plumbing was wonderful, the weather was about to drop into the teens and I had no heat they set me up for a Saturday to get me a new HVAC and I wasn't charge extra for after hours. They were fast on the install and left everything clean. MY house is comfortable now. Thank you

There were two gentlemen out here today Steve was with our technician doing some training. Both of them were extremely polite, kind, and through. I always try to stay local and I’m glad I did. You guys are great. By 1 o’clock everything was done installed and my family is back to normal because you guys came in put the water heater in promptly cleaned up after yourselves. Good service is hard to get but you guys do a great job
5 months agoAlex hooked up the bathroom plumbing after we had our counter redone. He also came in the day before, on short notice, to fix the stop valve so we could get the counters done in time. Very friendly and prompt. He also followed up the next day after we thought we encountered a problem with the new install. Overall, very helpful

Common Drain Issues in Reno
Hard Water Mineral Buildup: Reno’s water supply often carries significant mineral content. Over time, these minerals create a 'scale' inside your pipes, catching hair and soap scum that leads to frequent, stubborn clogs that a simple plunger can't move.
High Desert Silt and Sand: The windy Nevada climate frequently deposits fine desert sand and silt into outdoor drains and basement window wells. This heavy sediment settles in P-traps and can eventually obstruct your home's main line, requiring professional power-snaking or jetting.
Root Intrusion in Historic Neighborhoods: In established areas like Midtown and the University district, mature trees have roots that seek out the moisture in older clay or cast-iron sewer pipes. These roots can quickly grow into a thick mass, causing a total sewage backup.
Temperature Fluctuations: Reno's extreme shifts between hot summer days and freezing winter nights cause pipes to expand and contract. This stress can exacerbate existing cracks or clogs, leading to slow drains that eventually stop altogether during a cold snap.
Seasonal Drain Maintenance Tips for Reno
Spring Thaw Clearing: As the Sierra snowmelt begins, ensure your yard drains and area grates are free of debris to prevent localized flooding during heavy spring runoff.
Summer Evaporative Cooler Maintenance: If you use a swamp cooler, check the bleed-off line. These lines can become clogged with mineral deposits, leading to water damage on your roof or secondary drain issues.
Fall Pine Needle Removal: Reno's many pine trees drop needles that can easily clog exterior drainage systems. Clear these out before the first snow to ensure meltwater can escape your property.
Winter Pipe Protection: During Reno’s sub-zero winter nights, keep your indoor temperatures consistent. A slow-moving drain is significantly more likely to freeze solid than a clear one, which can lead to a pipe burst.
Average Drain Cleaning Costs in Reno
The cost of drain cleaning in Reno depends on the location of the clog and the technology required. Simple sink snaking typically falls on the lower end, while main sewer line clearing or hydro-jetting for mineral buildup falls on the higher end.
Frequently Asked Questions about Drain Cleaning in Reno
How quickly can you find a drain cleaner in South Reno or Spanish Springs?
Because we filter by your specific zip code and call to verify immediate availability, we can often find a technician who can be at your Reno home within 2 to 4 hours.
Does the hard water in Reno make clogs more likely?
Yes, Nevada's hard water creates calcium deposits that narrow the diameter of your pipes. This makes it easier for debris to get snagged, requiring professional cleaning to restore full flow.
Are your plumbers available for emergency clogs on weekends?
Absolutely. Our verification process includes checking for 24/7 emergency availability, ensuring you can find a plumber in Reno even on a Sunday night or during a holiday.
Do I need hydro-jetting for my Reno home?
If you live in an older neighborhood with recurring root issues or have significant mineral scaling, hydro-jetting is often the best solution to completely clear the pipe walls and prevent future backups.
Will the plumber be familiar with Washoe County plumbing codes?
Yes, we only work with licensed, certified plumbers who are intimately familiar with Reno and Washoe County building codes and local environmental regulations.
