DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! My wife and I spent the last several months remodeling an old family cabin that had been sitting vacant for eight years. The only thing left was to unclog two drains, and since there was no access to the plumbing under the cabin we decided to call somebody. First, my mistakes: I didn’t ask the cost to clear two drains when I called, and I didn’t send the worker away when he finally showed up at 5:00 pm and informed me the cost would be a minimum of $500+. He cleared the kitchen sink drain in approximately one minute. Over the next 20 minutes, he attempted to clear the shower drain, stating it was full of grout or some other hard material. I informed him that the shower was tiled over 15 years ago and that the cabin had been sitting vacant. It couldn’t possibly be grout or any other material. He said he wasn’t going to charge us for the still-clogged shower drain and that we would have to remove/replace the P-trap to fix the clog. I thought since he didn’t complete his job, there was no way I would be charged $540.00 for a single drain, but I was wrong. Here’s where things get worse: the cabin is nearly 90 years old, and the P-trap for the shower is under the floor with virtually no access. Hence, the reason I was willing to pay to have someone clear the drains. My wife and I spent several hours tunneling under the cabin to gain access to the P-trap. Once I located it, I found that it was a cast-iron P-trap with a very sharp 180-degree bend. After seeing that, I knew the type of snakes he was using to clear the drain would never make that bend; he was basically hitting the bottom of the P-trap. I went to Ace Hardware, purchased a $20 part called a Drain King, attached it to the garden hose, and cleared the drain in less than 10 seconds. My wife and I were ecstatic because we knew we didn’t have to further tunnel under the house and cut out and replace the P-trap. We now had a fully remodeled cabin with clear drains ready to rent the following week. We called this company back to tell our story and maybe get back a portion of the $500+. A nice lady answered, and after explaining our situation, she said she would need to have somebody else call us. The person who did the work called back but did not introduce himself as such. I started to tell our story of the digging, tunneling, seeing the P-trap, and clearing it with a $20 part from Ace Hardware. He began talking very abrasively, defending his work, if you could call it that, saying he was a professional and they don’t use those high-pressure tools. My wife got on the phone to try and talk to him down, but to no avail. He continued yelling at wife for the entire conversation. My wife was very upset following the phone call not because of the money, but because the way the guy was talking to her. After researching other local plumbers, we realized we paid over twice as much for a simple drain unclogging. Live and learn, but I wanted to pass along this information so you don’t make the same mistake as me hiring this company.

I had a fantastic experience with this plumbing company! They recently finished a sewer pipe lining job at my home, and I am very pleased with how everything turned out. Roman, Cory, and Ezekiel made up a great team. They arrived on time, acted professionally, and clearly knew what they were doing from start to finish. They took the time to explain the whole process to me, so I felt comfortable and informed about the work being done. The job was done quickly and smoothly, and they made sure to leave the area spotless when they were finished, which I really appreciated. Their attention to detail and dedication to excellent service truly impressed me. I highly recommend this plumbing team for anyone needing reliable plumbing work. Five stars all the way!

I had an excellent experience with Travis & Sons Plumbing when I needed help with a broken sewer pipe at my home in Carson City. From the start, Cory was very friendly and explained everything clearly, making sure I understood the whole process. Ezekiel and Roman spent two days at my house fixing the problem and cleaning up, and they did an amazing job. They were always professional, respectful, and paid attention to every detail. The team kept me informed and made sure I felt comfortable throughout the repairs. In a stressful situation, they made everything much easier for me. I would definitely recommend their plumbing services to anyone needing help!

I recently had a great experience working with the plumbing team in Carson City. Cory, one of their senior plumbers, helped me plan out and complete a full replacement of my old water heater and some outdated pipes that just weren't working efficiently in my home. I had tried calling other plumbing companies, but no one else was available as quickly as this team. They listened to all my concerns about water pressure and temperature, and they fixed an issue I had with uneven water flow throughout my house. The new system they installed is much more efficient, and I can already tell the difference. Cory made sure the installation crew did everything right, and they finished the job in just two days. The plumbers were very respectful of my home, laying down protective cloths to keep my floors and furniture clean, and they even vacuumed before leaving. I would definitely recommend this plumbing company to anyone in need of pipe repairs or water heater installation. Earlier on, Ezekiel, one of their techs, came by to take a look at my old water heater. He was friendly, on time, and managed to tune up the system to help it last a bit longer. Today, Roman helped me with a drainage issue and explained all my options clearly. He was professional and informative. I highly recommend this plumbing team in Carson City!

Trujillo Plumbing was an answer to a prayer! We were super lucky that Robert was available to help us during a plumbing emergency on a Sunday afternoon. The toilets were not flushing, they were bubbling big air bubbles, and the water was draining slowly in the shower which was not normal , so of course we needed help ASAP. Robert was quick to respond, was kind, helpful and very knowledgeable. He took the time to inspect the issues , explain things and answer all of our questions. He was able to get the main line clog cleared which fixed the immediate problems. It’s a 54 year old house so unfortunately, but not surprisingly, there were two other issues that need to be addressed for which we’ll have him back to work on as they are bigger projects that require scheduling. Robert was a pleasure to work with and is a top notch plumbing professional worth every penny spent, and we would 1,000% recommend him to anyone!! Thank you Robert for your help, we appreciate you SO MUCH!!!

If you need an honest local plumber I highly recommend calling Robert. I had a leaking main water line to my house. I gave him a call and he came over right away and tried to help me determine the location of the leak. After realizing the leak was under the asphalt driveway, I decided to replace the whole main water line from the meter to the house. I got a quote for +$15,000 from a different plumbing company to replace it. So I talked to Robert and we created a plan for the new water line location, depth, etc. to meet code requirements. Digging the trench is the most expensive part of replacing the water line. I rented a mini excavator and had it delivered to my house and it took me about two days to dig the trench. I found the leak in the process, of course it was 6' from the water meter and under asphalt which is why I could not find it. Robert put a temporary patch so I could at least shower before we replaced the pipe the next day. Once it was all dug, I gave Robert a call he came over, pulled permits and ordered the materials we needed to put in a new bigger 1" water line. The morning the materials came in I met Robert, bought the materials and then we spent a full day putting in the new line, water shut off, and even adding in a hose bib. Passed inspection the next day. Then Robert and I filled the trench back in and finished up the connections. Robert gave me a fair price and worked hard. He is very thorough and detailed. He thought ahead and left space for an automatic shutoff to be added in the future.

Robert is an awesome guy! It’s hard to find a good honest contractor here in Tahoe. Most of them quote insane prices and act like they are doing you a favor. Robert is a local…supporting locals! He grew up here and treats people right. I was in a bind with two broken water lines and he came to the rescue! Took him a couple days to get everything fixed…but he stuck with it and made sure everything was right. So don’t hesitate…give him a call!… you won’t regret it. Thanks Robert…you are appreciated!

Paid 3x for what should've been done right the first time. A week or so later, got a $50 discount for my next* service. Had them come out three times for a clogged drain coming off the washing machine. There's a sink drain in the laundry room. I had it open so I could catch all the water when I ran the washing machine. 1. First guy ran a snake and said I should keep the sink drain closed or else it won't drain properly. He closed it. It ran OK when he was here, so I started a load and it was clogged. Stopped him and said it's not cleared. He cleared it one more time (2 inch pipe, half inch auger). Paid. But the next day, it was clogged again. The washing machine drain backed up all over the laundry room floor. A full wash load of water on the floor. Clog was worse. I opened the sink drain to catch water. 2. Second visit the owner came the next day and tried to clear it. It was "clear." Paid. Next day ran a load of laundry and bam. Clogged again. Fully clogged, a full laundry load of water had to be caught in several buckets. 3. Third visit, man said that while they clear the clog, there may be debris that dislodges and causes the half inch clear to be clogged again. He ran the auger a while and it seems he cleared it. No more clogs. Paid him again. Over $600 for a $250 job. Told the owner to see what he can do to make it right. $50 discount on next service. There won't be a next service. 2 stars because they did finally clear the drain and were responsive.

Work up a week before Christmas with no hot water. Within an hour Jose was on site and determined the problem. This isn't really at fault for them but the party took nearly 3 weeks to arrive which is frustrating, but the second it did they came back and within an hour had everything replaced and back as new. Jose and efren were quick efficient and light hearted enough to keep the time moving. If I could rate the manufacturer of the parts 1 star but pro plumbing came through

Pro Plumbing hasn't quite been the same since Tony left however yesterday they sure saved the day with a water heater that we desperately needed to happen! Curtis was on the ball and more than that, he was honest that a new water heater wasn't needed, only a gas valve, resulting in Curtis saving the owner at least 2k. That's quite a lot of money! I am sad to see Tony go, but am very glad that they have Curtis for his talent and skill & Jessica in the office also to give stellar customer service. Thanks Pro Plumbing!

Excellent service! Matt is amazing. He even took a few extra steps to ensure my main line was completely flowing at 100% or better before heading out. Fast, in-person quote with multiple options on how to proceed, which was nice. And it didn't hit the wallet as hard as the other company's I've used before, for the same issue. My family appreciates that. You guys have definitely made a returning customer.

Rory is very professional! He knows how to run his business, Millennium Plumbing, and proves to be a great person to work for and to have work for you. The communication between Rory and his crew has them working seamlessly together, and the communication between Rory and myself has always been great. My apologies for all of the hoops I had them jumping through, and I swear it was unintentional. This man and his company changed my life. He took on a job that no one knew what it was going to entail, and made the result better than imagined. Thanks Rory!

I would love to give these guys a 5 star, because I was extremely happy with their service until I got the bill. They tightened a loose fitting inside my tankless water heater. Only took less than an hour. They were quick to get to me and it was a Saturday, but if I had been there, I could have fixed it myself for nothing but my time. I was shocked when they billed me $600 for the work. Even for a Saturday. I was expecting an upcharge, but not $600! That’s my only disappointment, as otherwise I would recommend them highly as they were prompt, courteous and kept me informed. I live on Social Security, and it was a real sting to my budget.

They are a lifesaver. My sink was leaking and they came out the same day to diagnose. It was the faucet leaking up inside. They picked up a new one and installed it the next day. Entire job including new faucet was under $300. A steal. They were polite; clean; respectfull; and expedient. Highly recommend them!

Verify Availability Before You Call

Professional Drain Cleaning in Carson City, Nevada

Carson City residents know that when a drain backs up, you don't have time to wait. Whether you're living in the historic West Side or the newer developments near the Eagle Valley Golf Course, finding a plumber who is actually available can be a challenge. Our service bridges that gap by scanning a network of local Carson City professionals and verifying their current schedule before you ever have to pick up the phone.

We understand that the high desert environment and local infrastructure in Nevada's capital present unique plumbing challenges. From hard water deposits to aging sewer lines, our goal is to match you with a certified expert in the 89701, 89703, or 89706 areas who is ready to provide immediate, reliable drain cleaning services. By confirming availability first, we save you the frustration of multiple calls and long wait times.

Common Drain Issues in Carson City, Nevada

Hard Water Mineral Buildup: Like much of Northern Nevada, Carson City's water contains minerals that can lead to calcium and magnesium deposits inside your pipes. Over time, this restricts water flow and creates stubborn clogs that standard plungers simply cannot handle.

Historic District Root Intrusion: Many homes in the older neighborhoods of Carson City are surrounded by mature, beautiful trees. Unfortunately, their root systems often find their way into old clay or cast-iron sewer lines, leading to recurring backups that require professional snaking or hydro-jetting.

Kitchen Grease and Seasonal Cooking: During the cooler months in the Eagle Valley, grease from cooking tends to solidify more quickly in your pipes. Without regular maintenance, these fats, oils, and greases (FOGs) create thick blockages that stop your kitchen sink in its tracks.

Sand and Silt Infiltration: Given our desert climate and occasional heavy winds, sand and grit can often find their way into exterior floor drains or garage drains, leading to slow drainage and potential overflow during the sudden Sierra Nevada downpours.

Seasonal Drain Maintenance Tips for Carson City, Nevada

Prepare for Freezing Temperatures: Before the first Carson City frost, ensure all exterior hoses are disconnected and any outdoor drains are clear of debris to prevent ice-related pipe bursts or clogs.

Manage Spring Snowmelt: As the snow melts off the Sierras, check your basement or crawlspace floor drains to ensure they are clear and capable of handling any unexpected groundwater increases.

Stay Ahead of Tree Growth: Late spring and early summer are peak times for root growth. If you live in an older part of town, consider a preventative camera inspection to catch root intrusion before it causes a major backup.

Flush Drains with Hot Water: During the dry Nevada summers, use a mixture of hot water and vinegar to keep your drains smelling fresh and to help break down any organic material that may be drying out in your pipes.

Average Drain Cleaning Costs in Carson City, Nevada

$145-$475

Pricing in Carson City typically depends on the severity of the clog, the accessibility of the clean-out, and whether specialized equipment like hydro-jetting or camera inspections are required.

Frequently Asked Questions about Drain Cleaning in Carson City, Nevada

How quickly can I get a plumber to my home in Carson City?

Because we call and verify availability before connecting you, we can often find a certified Carson City plumber who can arrive the same day, frequently within just a few hours of your request.

Yes, our zip code filtering covers the entire Carson City area, from the Northgate region down to the southern border near Indian Hills, ensuring we find a professional local to your specific neighborhood.
