Was one of the only plumbers to get back to me during an emergency. Even called me to let me know he was close before he got here. Very experienced and knew how to solve our issue with our laundry room and floor drain... only 224$ which is very decent for a professional plumber during an emergency. Was very kind to us and took the time out of his afternoon off to help us. Also gave us lots of info and talked me the way through it so now I even feel educated about our plumbing. Would definitely recommend

Would give 0 starts if possible. We really appreciated someone being able to come late at night to fix our “emergent” problem. But he kept changing his arrival time. When he showed, he kept pointing out other things & could not focus on the issue at hand. He was at my home for 2 hours and did not even resolve the issue. He seemed unfocused and was stumbling. I tired to give him the benefit of the doubt because he is an older gentleman. Then I smelt the alcohol on his breath and he made my husband and I feel uncomfortable. And his pricing is outrageous. Charged us $250 and barely did anything. My husband and I had to help him multiple times. I had another company come out the next day & they resolved the issue in 45 minutes for $80 less! I would never recommend Northern Drain & Sewer to anyone.

We had a clog in our house around 9 pm and he came in the next day and he got the job done! My husband and I are very happy with the work he did and how he was honest and communicated with us about the problem. We will go back to him if we have problems again.

Once again Kevin's saved the day! Our basement floor drain backed up and flooded our basement and kitchen sink with very unpleasant smelling water. Calling on a weekend is always a gamble, but within a few hours Gavin showed up, drilled it out, and had everything doing what it was supposed to do. He was quick, knew exactly what to do, and was super personable. This isn't the first time Kevin's has been quick to show up and save the day, and I'm sure it won't be the last!

Our plumber CJ came to fix my sink being filled up with excess water. Was quick and easy and he was friendly upon arrival. He even fixed the water pressure in my faucet! Highly recommend.

This is a bit of a long story since it took place over the course of a year, but I want others to know what happened to us before they call Kevin’s for any type of fireplace work. Our gas fireplace insert stopped working in December of 2024. I had Kevin’s diagnose the issue right away. They let me know that the pilot assembly needed to be replaced, and that the office would call me to set that up. When they called they said the part was difficult to find, but that they would order it for me, and the repair would be approximately $600 for the part and the labor. That was fine with me, so I said please go ahead and order it. I called probably a month later to check in, and then a couple months after that. Both times they said they hadn’t been able to get it and they would let me know if that changed. I should note the person I spoke to seemed very annoyed to be speaking with me. Since spring was coming I didn’t worry too much and gave them the benefit of the doubt that they would fix it when they got the part. In the late summer I thought about it again and since winter would be coming, we wanted to get it fixed. Between my husband and I, we called their office somewhere between 5 and 10 times, begging that if they couldn’t get the part, could they at least give us an estimate for replacing the unit. Finally we gave up and started looking into replacing it ourselves, but when we found out that inserts cost thousands of dollars, we accepted the fact we wouldn’t be able to fix it. I was getting a quote from Connole and Somerville for a water heater in January 2026 (a few weeks ago) and asked Julie if they could give me a second opinion on the fireplace. She said they couldn’t since they don’t do fireplace work, but I should call North Central Service. North Central scheduled me for the following week after I called, and within 5 minutes of Mike being in our home he had the fireplace roaring. He explained that it needed to be cleaned, and as soon as he did it, it ignited like it was meant to. After it was clean on the inside he took the time to clean the glass, replace the metal coals, and even diagnosed an issue with the remote control (need an electrician to repair, but that’s beside the point). North Central did in minutes what Kevin’s couldn’t in over a year. We paid Kevin’s for a diagnostic that was wrong, and we also paid HUNDREDS in extra electricity to heat our basement with electric heat while the fireplace didn’t work, all because it needed to be cleaned. It seems like Kevin’s has decent reviews for other services, but this snafu with our fireplace and their rude office staff has ensured I will never contact them again.

Twice in 2 months I've called to fix flushing issue. Two visits and 400 dollars later the problem came back right after he fixed it. This morning, 24 hours after "fixing" same issue comes back. Same as the first time. Will not use his services again.

DO NOT waste your time or money working with this business unless you want to have a terrible experience. This man left urine on the toilet seat after using it, and continued to touch the bathroom sink handles with his dirty work gloves. He had to return a week after coming the first time because he could not do his job correctly the first and said it’s the tenants fault although every one had followed orders. We went and bought a solution the very same day the first time he came! He barked orders and clearly felt inconvenienced even though it was our place that was flooding. He had a very apathetic and entitled personality and said he won’t be back to fix it again?? How we have anything to do with the divets in the pipes is beyond me. This man is not personable and doesn’t deserve your business.

Awesome team. Fixed my furnace, which had a rather tricky problem, during the cold snap during the same day i called and on the first try. They also replaced my water heater and repaired all the plumbing problems on all my appliances all in one trip. Rob makes fixing a nightmare look easy! Excellent pricing too!

Professional Drain Cleaning in Minot, North Dakota

Dealing with a stubborn clog in the Magic City shouldn't be a waiting game. Whether you are living in a historic home near Minot State University or a newer development out by the Air Force Base, a backed-up drain can disrupt your entire day. Our service takes the guesswork out of finding reliable help by filtering through our network of local North Dakota professionals specifically for your neighborhood.

We don't just give you a list of names; we actively call our certified plumbers to confirm they can solve your specific drain issue today. This unique approach ensures that when you connect with a pro in Minot, they are ready to head your way immediately, saving you the frustration of endless voicemails and 'no-shows' during a plumbing emergency.

Common Drain Issues in Minot, North Dakota

Deep Frost Line Issues: Minot’s extreme North Dakota winters cause the frost line to sink deep into the ground. This can lead to exterior drainage pipes shifting or even freezing solid, causing backups that won't budge with standard DIY methods.

Root Intrusion in Mature Neighborhoods: In established areas like those surrounding Roosevelt Park, older clay or cast iron sewer lines are often targeted by the roots of mature trees. These roots find their way into small cracks, eventually creating a total blockage that requires professional snaking or hydro-jetting.

Mineral Scaling and Hard Water: The water profile in the Souris River valley can be hard on your plumbing. Over time, calcium and magnesium deposits build up inside your drains, narrowing the passage and making it easier for grease and hair to create a complete stoppage.

Sump Pump and Basement Drainage: With the history of flooding in the Souris River basin, many Minot homes rely heavily on sump pumps and floor drains. When these drains clog during a rapid spring thaw or heavy rain, it creates an immediate risk of basement flooding that requires an emergency response.

Seasonal Drain Maintenance Tips for Minot, North Dakota

Before the first North Dakota hard freeze, ensure all outdoor spigots are disconnected and basement floor drains are clear of debris to prevent ice-related backups.

During the spring thaw in Ward County, check your sump pump's discharge line for any obstructions to ensure snowmelt can move freely away from your foundation.

Avoid pouring cooking fats or heavy oils down the sink during the winter months; the cold temperatures outside cause grease to solidify much faster in your pipes than it would in the summer.

After our intense summer storms, have your main sewer line inspected if you notice slow drainage, as heavy rains can shift soil and put pressure on older pipe joints.

Average Drain Cleaning Costs in Minot, North Dakota

$150-$475

The cost of drain cleaning in Minot typically depends on the location of the clog and the equipment needed. Simple sink snaking is on the lower end, while main sewer line clearing or hydro-jetting for stubborn roots can fall on the higher end of the spectrum.
