Expert Drain Cleaning in Missoula, MT

Friendly people, way overpriced plumbing service. This was work in a rental. A bathroom sink clogged with hair needed to be snaked. I ok'd $225 for the work, which seemed high to me, but I was in a bind. The work took 15 minutes. Then, the plumber told me the $95 dispatch fee would be added to that amount. I was stunned. For most companies, the dispatch fee becomes part of the service cost if you go ahead and choose to have the work done. $320 for 15 minutes onsite? The property was only about 15 minutes away from Garden City's headquarters! Oh, well, the plumber applied a coupon that dropped the bill by $25. So $295 for a 15-minute job snaking a sink. I've regularly used Garden City, but I won't use them again. UPDATE: Given Garden City's reply and their invitation to talk, I sent an email to the company saying I'd be glad to receive their phone call, noting that they have my number on file. Probably I put it in the email, too. I can't recall because that was more than 10 days ago. No one has called. I think that lack of contact speaks to the sincerity of the reply posted to this review.

Garden City had a a plumber scheduled within minutes of my call and he was at my elderly parents house in 2 hours. The promptness saved my 95 yr old folks from waiting through the weekend without water and paying after-hours higher rates. The job was done fast and correctly. Good Job wayne and garden city. Your response time , price and quality beat the several other companies that I called.

Excellent. Receptionist was friendly, knowledgeable and polite. Scheduled a water leak for the next day. Repseptionist called early next day and was able to get Matt to my home earlier. He showed up, diagnosed the problem and solved it quickly. Explained everything to me as he worked. Apologies to Matt, he is young and I thought more experience, age, would be needed to sleuth out the problem. Nope, I was very wrong! Garden City is lucky to have this guy on their team and so was I. Thank you.

Bill is the best! He’s the first person we call for any and all plumbing issues. He’s cleaned out our main sewer line, fixed our bath faucet, helped us identify the source of a leak in our basement. You name it and Bill can do it. He’s prompt, lovely to work with, and always so clean. We can’t recommend him highly enough!

Called last Wednesday morning and explained the we had a toilet that was leaking around the base and into our basement. It apparently had been for a while and had done some damage. Ronnie, a very pleasant lady, indicated that Bill would be available in about 4-5 days. I was disappointed but said okay. Was contemplating calling someone else but a short while later in the morning, Ronnie called back and said they had a cancellation and that Bill could arrive early afternoon if I wanted. I, of course, said you bet. Bill arrived as expected, came in and looked at the situation and said he could take care of it and gave me an estimate. Asked him to go ahead. Long story short, the toilet appeared to have not been properly installed 14 years prior when we had some tile work done and, amazingly, hadn't leaked previously. The job was a bit more involved than Bill thought but, as I watched what he was doing, it was obvious he knows his trade extremely well and has a wealth of experience. He got the situation resolved as I watched and did what I thought was a hell of a great job. No mess left behind and a perfectly functioning toilet. Though the job was somewhat more involved than anticipated, the cost was only slightly over Bill's estimate. It was sincerely a great pleasure to deal with an honest, competent craftsman with a strong, responsible, old-school work ethic and a tremendous sense of humor. As far as we are concerned, we will most certainly call Bill for any of the services he offers that we may need. We also will very confidently recommend him to everyone we can. We had a clog in our kitchen drain rear its head very violently and suddenly and of course every plumbing and drain company was pretty booked out. After contacting Kyle, he slotted us into his already busy schedule at the last moment. While addressing the issue, he and Levi went 100% above and beyond what I could have expected. They cleared our drain and even updated our 1950s era plumbing without hesitation and for a lot less than I expected. I couldn't recommend these guys highly enough! Super great to work with, professional, honest, and very skilled. Go with Standard, you won't be disappointed.

Kyle was excellent! He did an outstanding job while at my home. He was very professional and curtious. He explained every step in detail while checking my lines. We walked through my home where he identified all the lines and explained its purpose. Kyle kept me updated about my appointment and let me know when he was on his way. Eric and the team at Montana Plumbing Company (Nick & Brandon on our job) were INCREDIBLE to work with. They have the experience and expertise but even more importantly, integrity. We were working to sell our home when the buyer's agent brought in another company to scope our sewer (although we never had any issues). That company said an entire sewer replacement was needed (very expensive!!). We contacted Montana Plumbing Company for a second opinion, and they worked us in right away to meet the deadlines of our sale contract. Eric personally came onsite said all that we needed was a cleaning, which they did exceptionally well for a reasonable price. If you are looking for a plumbing company that is looking out for your interests and cares more about building their customer base long term than making a quick buck, look no further. We cannot thank them enough for their help in our situation and only wish we could continue to utilize them in our new home/new state.

I've had plumb-tech out to do several jobs and they've always done excellent work. I've had both Noah and Jeff in my home to install a hose bib, install a shower pan, retrofit for renovations, and for some repiping. They are great at working with me to make sure I get what I want and get all my questions answered. I do think prices tend to be higher than some other companies, but for me it has been worth it for the excellent customer support and leak-free plumbing.

Dylon was very efficient, knew exactly what to do, ,did it, was fun to chat with while he worked. Did a fantastic job! We enjoyed them time. Was a bit surprised at the cost, but grateful to have it done properly.

The igniter in my furnace went out and I didn’t have the part on hand. It’s a $50 part that literally plugs in and is bolted down by two screws. Maybe a 5-10 minute replacement. So I figured maybe $150-$200 max for the job. It’s my fault for not asking for an estimate, but I didn’t have much of a choice being that it was 60º and below in the house and we have four young kids. Well the igniter stopped functioning the same night they “fixed” it and when I called to ask what my options were, i was basically told it was to book another appointment. So when I asked for a breakdown of the $470 bill, I was told “ummm it includes their knowledge, and tools, and experience and stuff like that”. They couldn’t give an official breakdown of costs. Needless to say, I decided to self diagnose at night when the kids were sleeping. I watched some YouTube videos and poked around the unit. I spent $132 total on new flame rollout switches, a new flame sensor, a new pressure switch, and a new control board. It took me 1-2 hours max to replace everything with brand new parts. It’s up and running with no issues just yet. The house is warm for tonight. No thanks to Hellgate. In the end I am thankful though, I’ve learned some new and very valuable skills apparently. Everybody should fix their own furnaces. They would’ve charged me $1,500+ for the work I did.

Hellgate is our go-to for plumbing issues! They’re quick to get us on the schedule and have been really helpful helping us trouble-shoot the usual old-Missoula-house issues that come up. I also really appreciate their plumbers being willing to talk through what they are seeing and answer my questions to help me understand the issues. We have done Hellgate’s membership program and feel like it’s really been worth it. Would definitely recommend these guys!

EXCELLENT COMPANY! I had the extreme displeasure of having to replace a water heater in an older mobile home. I had literally no idea where to start, and had originally been calling around to see if someone could repair the water heater. I called and spoke to Anecia and she was so helpful and kind! I was able to get someone out the very next day, for a very reasonable price. Unfortunately, when Tyler came out - he informed me that the age of the heater prevented him from being able to repair it, and explained why - which I very much appreciated. They were able to quote me out on the spot for a new one. Lyndsey and Joy are amazing in the office - getting me the best quality product for a deal! I then was able to get the install scheduled within a few days of the original call - and when Tyler and his phenomenal team came to install - there was a structural issue I had to fix, but Lyndsey was able to keep me on the schedule for the next day and kept in contact to make sure it would still work for me, even helped me find a handyman to help with the issue at hand. I later ran into the whole crew while they were out and about for their holiday celebration and was able to chat with the owner. I was blown away by his kindness and the way he treated his employees. Right now will go above and beyond for a great price and without a long wait. Highly HIGHLY recommend!

These guys are awesome. We had an urgent situation where a plumbing line had a hole in it, and they were able to fit us in the very same afternoon. They showed up promptly, got straight to work, and had everything repaired quickly, well before the end of the day. Because of their fast response and efficiency, we were able to keep our project moving without any major delays. They were super courteous, professional, and genuinely great to work with from start to finish. I definitely highly recommend them and wouldn’t hesitate to call them again.

Excellent experience all around! The hot water in our shower hasn't been working for quite some time. Joy took my call and was very responsive to our needs and was able to get a plumber out to us within a few days. Jeremy was GREAT.
