Top Rated Plumbers in Lee's Summit, Missouri
Proline Plumbing LLC
210 SW Market St STE 136, Lee's Summit, MO 64063, USA
(816) 442-9653I'm a little late in posting this review but I have to share my experience with Proline as they helped me and my wife avoid a massive bill. I cant recommend them enough. I had one of the bigger name plumbing companies come look at a backup we were having in our basement through one of the drains....after they couldn't snake out the problem they had a guy come next day with his camera to have a look. After his review he told us that we had a 6 foot section of our main sewer line under our garage that had completely eroded the bottom of the pipe and it was just hitting the ground...meaning that the bottom of the pipe wasn't even there anymore. They also found some roots growing just outside of the house causing a blockage. They said we had to replace the entire main line under our house and then about 6 feet outside of the house. Of course our insurance wouldn't cover what was inside the house so the bill was going to be somewhere $12,000+. It was crushing news... A friend from work said I should get a second opinion and recommended Proline - they came out and showed me with the camera that the pipe was fine....old but fine....there was no 6 foot area where the pipe was eroded. They did find the same blockage of roots outside the house which was the reason for the backup. The other company straight up lied to us and the Proline folks were able to get us sorted for somewhere around $800. I would recommend them to anyone....good folks. My coworker had a similar story to mine and I'm sure somewhere deep in these reviews he wrote something similar.
6 months agoProline Plumbing literally rescued us two years ago when our sewer line backed up into the basement, causing several thousand dollars worth of damage and cleanup. They cleared our line of some thick tree roots and do a great job of annually keeping that line clear. So grateful! They are honest and do good work.
6 months agoWere great guys to work with. They worked hard to get my sewer pipe opened back up. Very professional. Price was very good. I will have them back if ever needed again.
3 months agoA-1 Sewer & Septic
1891 Merriam Ln, Kansas City, KS 66106, USA
(913) 631-5201A1 was hired to clean the sewer line for my real estate client. Once finished they said it was cleared, but upon buyer’s reinspection, it was not. A1 had to come back a 2nd time to finish the job. They charged for the second trip despite stating it was previously cleared. Apparently from the reviews, I’m not the only one this has happened to. Because I don’t want my client to be harassed for payment, I paid for it. When something isn’t right, you take care of it….That’s how you run a business. (If my “name is not in your system” it’s because I’m not the homeowner)
2 months agoTLDR: I paid ~$5000 to have two septic riser redone. I ended up having to redo all of their work. NONE of what they installed is there. I got NOTHING for my money. I will attempt to keep this as short as I can. Drainage on my property is not great, after heavy rains water can sit on top of my septic tank for a while before it dries. I needed new risers because my existing ones were not sealed well and would allow rain water to leak into the tanks, filling them up. I explain this to A1 Septic and they said they could redo them. I will say all the techs who came on site were very nice and I believe hard working. The first time they did the install it went reasonably well. It seemed like a good job was done. During backfill however they knocked one of the risers of it's base accidentally. They acknowledged it and said they would come back out and replace it. They come back out and replace the riser. Some small things were missed during this install, for example they didn't caulk or seal around pipe penetrations. I didn't care, I could add caulking and take care of it. I thought it was finally done and I could move on with life. Around a month later some work is being done on my yard. One of the landscape vehicles got close to the riser and the dirt sank in. It was dry up top but still moist below, so the dirt pushed in a bit and shoved the riser right off the base. Exactly like what happened during the backfil. I contact A1 and they say they will come and check things out. After seeing this and how the riser attaches to the base I personally think it's a poorly designed product. It attaches by plastic clips and if those get pushed out, it's ruined. I've attached a picture showing the crappy plastic clips and how it gets shoved off. Fortunately before they come out to inspect the riser, it rains. We check the one knocked off it's base and yea, it's leaking. We check the one that is still on it and find out it's also leaking. Both have to be redone, again. They agree the risers aren't working and will redo them both. Them agreeing to do the one that got knocked off was very nice(although they never actually did it). That was more than I expected. We go back and forth for awhile. I wanted to upgrade to fiberglass risers that are stronger and can be more easily sealed to the concrete. They agree to this if I pay the difference. I agree. Supposedly they are on order and waiting. Time passes, and I call in to find a status. No call back. Repeat several times, no call back. After a few months I've decided I've been ghosted, they will not call me back. During this time I also rent an excavator and go ahead and dig everything out again. They are concerned about the rain and it not being dry enough to work so I take care of it so it's ready to go. This is another ~1200 out of my pocket. This means a fairly significant part of what they would have to do is already done. After months of waiting and hearing nothing I buy new riser systems, sealant, butyl tape, anchors, sealant, etc. I rip off the old risers and it's very easy to tell why they leak. The butyl tape sealant is filled with dirt. The top of the tank was not cleaned when they put the new risers on. So even if the one had not been knocked off the base, it would have still leaked. At least it made it very easy for me to remove. I'll include a picture showing the base of both risers. Only one corner on each one stuck to the concrete. Those sections got ripped off because they were actually stuck. The rest you can see still there, filled with dirt. I at least have two properly installed risers that are sealed very well now. No thanks to A1 septic. This company is horrific. While the techs were very nice, management purposely decided to avoid fixing their work and making things right. If you do any kind of expensive work with them DO NOT PAY THEM UNTIL YOU HAVE PROVEN THEIR WORK IS DONE CORRECTLY. In my case it had already been too long to do a chargeback and get at least some of my money back. Buyer beware.
7 months agoGreat customer service and billing. I had a line that needed to be cleaned and then still needed a little bit of work. They sent someone asap. He was super nice, got it fixed, and I wasn't billed again. No one tried to upsell anything which was great. It was my first time using them and now I know I can trust their work and service in the future. Yay!
2 months agoB&L Plumbing Service, Inc
313 SE Oldham Pkwy, Lee's Summit, MO 64081, USA
(816) 281-1038I had B & L Plumbing come out today to fix a sewer ejector pump that I thought had to be replaced. Fortunately, it was an easy fix. I’ve used B & L Plumbing for years and I can tell you you can trust them and they do a great professional job. I am grateful for Jason, one of their plumbers Who had to put up with me on New Year’s Eve at 11:55 PM with my alarm to the sewer ejector pump going off. Yes, five minutes before midnight! He walked me through the entire process of how to get the alarm stopped and make sure everything was OK until they came out to repair it or or replace it . If there were more stars to give them I would. They’re the best company.
4 months agoJason was so great to work with! He was very friendly and knowledgeable. Upon determining the issue was not something his company can fix, he provided a referral to another company who was able to come out the same day and do a free estimate. Would absolutely recommend Jason and this company. I will be using them again in the future when needed for any and all plumbing issues.
5 months agoThey arrived when they said they would. Went over options with me, and saved me more than $200 than the other company we priced. Jason was very nice and showed me exactly what he was doing. Then gave me some suggestions for future upgrades we might want to make to our old pipes. No pressure tactics. Will definitely use them again.
5 months agoKC Plumbing Works
19405 S Cedar St, Belton, MO 64012, USA
(816) 256-0798KC Water Damage was so helpful, flexible, honest, and inexpensive. My sewer backed up in my unfinished basement and I had raw sewage and standing water down there. I compared the prices on this job against 5 different places because it can get pricey to vacuum out, wash, and sanitize. KC Water was by far the least expensive, most honest, and very flexible and speedy. It was done in just about an hour, and my basement is sparkling. Thank you!
7 years agoKC Water Damage did an awesome job at my home. They came out very quickly after we called about some leaking from the ceilings that caused damage and they got the job done effectively and efficiently with no complaints! Very polite crew and really easy to work with. Not to mention, their prices are the best in KC. Highly recommend
9 years agoI am so glad that I found this great company when searching for help after our basement had water issues. The team that we worked with was so prompt in proactive and follow up communication. During the process, everyone was so professional as well as genuinely honest about what needed to be done and the associated cost. If we were to have any future issues or a friend needed a recommendation, I wouldn't hesitate in the slightest to use/recommend this great company again. Thank you very much for your help KC Water Damage Restoration
7 years agoCorum Plumbing Heating & Cooling
95 SE Oldham Pkwy, Lee's Summit, MO 64081, USA
(816) 267-0820I would definitely recommend Corum. Caleb showed up on time, assessed the issue and took time to explain everything. I also showed him our old water heater (20 yrs old) that I knew would eventually need replaced and was in a very tight spot that would require dismantling some of our HVAC to remove. He gave us a fair price for replacing it and did it in the same day, making the job that originally would have taken about 1-2 hrs an 8 hr day. I was happy with their work and they left the space cleaner than before. Because of the amazing work and customer service we are now on a maintenance plan and proud to be in the Corum Family!
6 months agoToday we discovered a leaky pipe and it was very stressful as my husband is leaving on a trip tomorrow. I simply have no words to describe my experience with Corum Plumbing. 100 stars!!! They replied right away and their message stating a pro with a loaded van would come and would most likely be able to get the job done right away. Terry came super fast, provided a detailed and fairly priced quote and worked around our schedule. He estimated a 3 hour window and was done way before that. Our children followed him around and my oldest son was asking him questions and sharing things and he was just SO nice. He casually mentioned CorumCare and it’s something we’ve been talking about doing for our HVAC. We signed up and are so excited for be part of the Corum family. Terry was simply fabulous, the job was done WELL and EFFICIENTLY! The customer service is out of this world - fast responses, incredibly kind. Their van looks so pro! Honestly I haven’t been this impressed with a company in a LONG time. We have some projects around the house and we’ll be calling Corum to get them done! HIRE THEM! You won’t regret it!
7 months agoFantastic experience with Corum Plumbing from start to finish. The appointment setting process was incredibly smooth, quick, easy, and hassle free. The technician, Thomas, was outstanding. Extremely professional, personable, and clearly very knowledgeable. He took the time to explain everything and made the entire visit feel easy and stress free. Overall, a solid 5-star experience. Highly recommend Corum Plumbing!
2 months agoBill Fry The Plumbing Guy
2321 NE Independence Ave ste b, Lee's Summit, MO 64064, USA
(816) 549-2592I woke up on a Saturday morning and found that I had water running down my yard and driveway. I called the city of Independence and they came out to have me shut off to prevent major damage. Unfortunately they were unable to do so(my curbstop was broken as well as my line had burst). I then contacted several companies for estimates. Some came in at a slightly lower price for the job. However the technician Kyle I dealt with from Bill Fry was the clearly most knowledgeable of all I dealt with. I had attempted to get financial help though another company, and was denied. I then called back to Bill Fry's company and not only was I greeted with respect and understanding. The owner Dawn(Bills wife) got on the phone with me personally and made sure that all info for financial help was in there correct. I was approved in 2 minutes. The same day they called me back and had me booked for two days later. Chris and Aaron were the gentleman to come to my house to do the work. Not only were the right on time but they both got right into digging my yard with water still flowing down my driveway. Chris was clearly as skilled with a backhoe as a surgeon with a scalpel. Aaron was literally six feet down in a hole scooping mud and water by hand. I apologized many times for him to need to do that kind of thing. His response to me every time was don't worry about it I love to dig in the mud. Everyone that I dealt with during this whole process was super nice and the work was done before I came for my lunch break. Bill Fry the plumbing guy now has a client for life!!!! Anyone that I know has any plumbing issue will be referred to them. I thank you ALL SOOOOOO MUCH!!!!
3 months agoMichael was on time , very friendly and professional. I really enjoyed talking with him for a few minutes after he fixed my issues (on the first visit). He also explained the benefits of joining the Bill Fry maintenance program. It is peace of mind and worth the annual cost. I will recommend Bill Fry the plumbing guy to anyone that will listen.
3 months agoKyle did excellent work for us after another company wasted our time wanting to do an unnecessary solution that would have cost almost double. He demonstrated integrity in another matter as well proving a trustworthy character to work while I was away. Quick as well. Jackhammered out that cracked pipe for us, looked over everything and did some tune ups. Thank you much! Will use him again and his referrals.
8 months agoInception Plumbing
8031 Ward Parkway Plaza, Kansas City, MO 64114, USA
(816) 369-1010Levin and Bryce were great, professional and friendly. My sewer was backed up, coming out of a cleanout I didn't know I had because it was buried in our front yard. Levin arrived first to give me some info about replacement but wasn't pushy to make a sale. Next day, Bryce came by and snaked the line until he hit dirt. Things were looking like it would be a big expensive fix. I still needed to know where my sewer line was located so Levin came back and camera'd it with a tracer. It was maybe 10ft from the street. Now, a few months ago, some construction fellas, (not Inception) dug and laid down some internet fiber cable on our street. I managed to get the guys number and told them they probably hit my sewer line, not knowing if that was 100% true. They came out, dug 4ft down and there it was! Their cable clipped our sewer line! Replaced it and fixed my cleanout because it was their mistake. Anyway, Levin and Bryce from Inception Plumbing were great from the start and helped me make sense of the whole situation, so I could end up having my sewer line back in good working order. I appreciate their professionalism in that stressful time.
3 months agoInception Plumbing was incredible! They fixed my leak and did some upgrades on the SAME DAY I called! Chris was very help and knowledgeable. He taught me and showed me things about my house I had no idea were there! Chris was also very friendly and fun to talk to and really walked me through all my options, without trying to upsell me. He really has a philosophy of taking care of his customers and doing the best work possible! I would recommend Inception Plumbing to anyone and would try to refer Christopher Smith to do your work. Truly amazing work!
4 months agoEveryone at Inception Plumbing has been fantastic to work with over the past few days. Our water heater was very old and needed to be replaced ASAP, and they made the entire process smooth and stress-free. Kimberly and Brittany were incredibly helpful and responsive from the office side, and Bryce did a phenomenal job with the installation. The whole team truly went above and beyond. I’m so grateful we chose Inception Plumbing and will absolutely be recommending them to everyone I know!

(816) 357-1010Chris Mitchel did an amazing job. My wife was cleaning and accidentally flush down a small towel in the toilet drain and was backed up for a day. He came and thank BUDDHA he got it out! He was very polite and professional.
3 months agoBoth Christopher and Levin came out and I was very impressed with thier knowledge, Christopher even found our main line outside, which we had no idea where it was, saved us a lot of time and less expensive repair!! I was extremely pleased with the price and efficiency, definitely will use again and refer to others. Thanks so much!! I have to add we needed more work done than expected and all the technicians that came to do the work were professional, courteous, and communication was excellent, and the price for what we needed was more than fair. Thanks to all the tram at Inception Plumbing! Definitely have my business and will recommend!

2 months agoDuty Calls Plumbing and Rooter llc.
523 E US Hwy 24, Independence, MO 64050, USA
(816) 945-2131I’m very pleased with the results of the work that Patrick did. Another plumber did a horrible job in my upstairs bathroom that Duty Calls came out and fixed it correctly! I recommend them for complete, comprehensive repairs!
3 months agoMatthew was great to work. Pricing was good. I look forward to working with him again soon on other projects I asked him to take a look at. I will update my review once the other projects are done if my opinion changes. So far, I would highly recommend Matthew and Duty Calls. Btw, I love the company's name. It cracks me up 😂
2 months agoDuty Calls was a great company and very professional! They replaced my water heater for a very reasonable price compared to another quote I received from one of the larger plumbing companies in town. They showed up when they said they would be here and they got the work completed in a very timely manner. I will be using them as my go to plumber for any future plumbing needs. Thank you for the great work.
3 months agoBill Fry the Plumbing Guy
10308 State Line Rd # A, Leawood, KS 66206, USA
(816) 685-8313I had a non-emergency plumbing issue and called to schedule service. They were able to get me on the schedule the same day, which was a pleasant surprise. Adam was assigned as the service technician, and the communication was excellent from the start. I received a text confirming the appointment, along with Adam’s photo and a vehicle tracker showing his exact location and estimated arrival time—no guessing involved. Adam arrived promptly, introduced himself, took the time to listen and understand the issue, put on protective shoe covers, and got right to work. He was also very kind to my overly enthusiastic dog, which I appreciated. After diagnosing the problem, he proactively called to confirm the replacement part was available before shutting off our water, ensuring we wouldn’t be left in a difficult situation. Once availability was confirmed, he presented a clear, upfront estimate that included both labor and parts for approval before proceeding. The repair was completed efficiently—water shut off, faulty part removed, new part installed, and everything tested to ensure proper operation. Adam was very tidy and cleaned up thoroughly afterward. My credit card was charged exactly the amount quoted, with no surprises. From start to finish, the entire visit took about 1 hour and 20 minutes. Overall, this was a very professional and pleasant experience. I will absolutely keep this company at the top of my list for any future plumbing needs.
3 months agoAdam was wonderful! I found this company on Google after googling affordable plumbing and took a shot in the dark. I noticed they had great reviews so I decided to hire them. They offered me a $50 off coupon for the assessment which was absolutely wonderful. And when the plumber arrived, he was pleasant and very quick with his job. I would recommend this place to anyone, and we will certainly be calling them in the future any of our needs!
5 months agoTyler is fantastic. He’s honest and explains what is happening which I really appreciate. It’s clear he knows what he’s doing. Bill Fry is my plumber for life and I’m thankful that they have such a great plumber like Tyler! When our leak ended up being. 5 months agoProfessional Drain Cleaning in Lee's Summit, Missouri
Lee’s Summit is a vibrant, growing community where home maintenance shouldn't be a source of stress, yet a clogged kitchen sink or a backed-up main line can quickly derail your day. Whether you are living in the historic downtown area or in the newer developments near Longview Lake, finding a reliable plumber who is actually available when you need them is often the hardest part of the job.
That’s where our unique service changes the game for Jackson County residents. We don't just provide a list of names; we scan our network of certified plumbers in Lee’s Summit, filter specifically by your zip code, and personally call them to confirm they have a technician available to solve your drain issue today. You skip the frustration of being told 'we're booked until next week' and get straight to a solution.
Common Drain Issues in Lee's Summit, Missouri
Tree Root Intrusion: In the established neighborhoods of Lee’s Summit, mature oak and maple trees are beautiful, but their roots are notorious for seeking out moisture in older clay or cast iron sewer lines, leading to recurring and stubborn backups.
Heavy Rain Overflow: Missouri's intense spring storms can quickly overwhelm local drainage systems. If your basement floor drain starts gurgling during a downpour near Fleming Park, you likely have a blockage that needs immediate professional attention before the next storm hits.
Hard Water Scaling: While Lee’s Summit water quality meets high standards, over time, mineral deposits can build up in older pipes. This scaling narrows the passage, making it much easier for soap scum and hair to create frequent clogs.
Kitchen Grease Clogs: With Lee’s Summit's active family lifestyle, kitchen drains often take a beating. Years of grease and food particles can solidify within the pipes, especially during colder Missouri months, causing slow drains that standard household plungers simply cannot fix.
Seasonal Drain Maintenance Tips for Lee's Summit, Missouri
Spring: After the Missouri ground thaws, check your external drains and gutters. Lee's Summit's heavy spring rains can push debris into your perimeter drains, so clear them early to prevent basement flooding.
Summer: Be mindful of what goes down the disposal during backyard BBQ season. Corn husks, potato peels, and watermelon rinds are common culprits for summer clogs in Jackson County homes.
Fall: Before the first freeze hits Lee's Summit, ensure your outdoor spigots are drained and clear. Leaves falling near basement stairwell drains should be removed to prevent water pooling during late-season rain.
Winter: Extreme cold can cause grease in your pipes to solidify much faster. Avoid pouring any oils down the drain and consider a professional cleaning before the holiday guest rush to ensure your system can handle the extra load.
Average Drain Cleaning Costs in Lee's Summit, Missouri
Pricing in Lee's Summit typically depends on the location of the clog and the equipment required. Simple drain snaking is more affordable, while hydro-jetting for major tree root issues or main line backups represents the higher end of the scale.
