Top Rated Plumbers in Torrington, Connecticut
Vanguard Plumbing Solutions LLC
491 Bantam Rd # C, Litchfield, CT 06759, USA
(860) 266-5370Justin, from Vanguard Plumbing Solutions, did a fantastic job of taking care of the clogged sink drain at our home. It was not an easy job and involved clearing out a solidly blocked run of corroded galvanized drainpipe. Justin used his expertise to get the job done in an efficient manner and shared his knowledge with us throughout the whole process. When the job was completed the work site was left in a spotless condition. He also included a check of our plumbing system, as a whole, and made important suggestions for improvements that would help prevent problems in our 80+ year old home. We really enjoyed meeting and working with Justin and we’ll be sure to contact Vanguard Plumbing Solutions when we need plumbing work taken care of in the future.
1 month agoMy experience with Vanguard Plumbing was spectacular. They responded quickly and very professionally. They have done three projects here at my house. Their Plumber. Jason is very personable and competent. I couldn’t ask for anything more. You will not be disappointed with this company.
2 weeks agoJustin was wonderful yet again, this was the second time I've had him do plumbing work in my condo. Very polite and professional, considerate of my floors (he wore booties over his shoes) and explained everything he was doing. Easy to talk to as well. Would highly recommend Justin and Vanguard!
1 month agoAmerican Rooter
755 Thomaston Rd, Watertown, CT 06795, USA
(860) 274-7338Our main drain, which only the kitchen sink flows into and all others go straight to the sewer stack, was clogged. We've called on AR to do this once before - with no issue. Unfortunately this last time they jetted the clog, with no water containment apparatus set up, flooding and destroying our kitchen, dining and living area to the amount of $70K-$80K in damage. Worse, they've have listed us as "persona non grata" stating I was rude to them when I asked "You're really gonna bill me for the work you did?" I'm a reasonable person, have worked in the trades in the past, I know what can happen and go wrong AND we learn from those mistakes. BUT you never accuse the customer of wrong doing, when you've damaged THEIR home. People, if companies DO NOT take responsibility for the work - both good and poor - you shouldn't trust them to do any work. AR you don't need to respond, the insurance company has you down as the cause of damage.
5 months agoFriendly, knowledgeable, easy to work with. I've had American Rooter out three times now. They fixed a clog, fixed a leak, re-routed a pipe, and fixed a propane line as well. I've met three different plumbers from their company and each one was very nice, talked me through their plan, and treated my house with respect. They always walk me through what they've done afterwards and their work looks to be high-quality. I have great peace of mind knowing they've worked on my home, and that they're close by for whatever else I need. Really great value, IMO. Thanks for all the help, American Rooter!
1 month agoJoseph Spielman from American Rooter was fantastic. He arrived quickly, was friendly and professional, very patient and immediately put me at ease. He clearly explained what he was doing, reassured me that the issue wasn’t serious, and gave helpful advice on what to watch for in the future. Efficient, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. Highly recommend!
4 months agoMaster Rooter: Sewer and Drain Cleaning Service
92 Brookside Rd, Waterbury, CT 06708, USA
(203) 547-1800This is my first time using Master Rooter. Ben and his colleague were very professional, respectful, and friendly. I called yesterday evening due to a clog in the bathroom and spoke with Ben. They came the next morning to take care of the problem. Ben explained what caused the problem and fixed another problem as well. The pricing was reasonable and their work was high quality. I highly recommend their service! I will definitely use them again.
2 weeks agoMaster Rooter came out to clear a clog in my kitchen sink drain line. Ben and his team were very professional and got the job done quickly. They explained everything clearly and made the whole process easy. Very happy with the service and would highly recommend Master Rooter to anyone needing drain cleaning or plumbing help in Waterbury, CT!
1 week agoHad been having issues with on one the toilets not flushing to it’s maximum ability (it’s one of those jet flushing toilets) for a few years even when we had a different plumber come out to fix it. Whatever they did only had it flushing at half capacity. Flash forward to recently when the water in the toilet would barely go down the drain and was contemplating on who to call because I felt we got jipped last time around with dishonest or half ass work. Ended up reading the GREAT reviews about Master Rooter and decided to give them a whirl, and to say I’m more than happy with their service would be an understatement! Ben and his associate were very personable as well as knowledgeable in their respective line of work. They at first thought it was a clog and they did their due diligence to find out that it wasn’t clogged but just needed a part which was easily replaceable. They came back once the part was delivered and not only were able to get the toilet to work again, but they got it where the power of the flush should’ve been after it was serviced by a different company a few years ago. Ben walked us through every process of what he was doing and what needed to be done as he was doing it which made the whole experience anxiety and stress free. I can’t imagine another person or company being as helpful and professional as Master Rooter was. If you are looking for a HONEST as well as PROFESSIONAL plumber for any plumbing work that needs to be done, have no fear Ben and Master Rooter are here!
2 weeks agoEscape Plumbing & Heating, LLC
8 West St, Morris, CT 06763, USA
(860) 590-8481Eric and crew are not just the best plumbers I've worked with, they are the best service professionals period. With any issue I've had over the years Eric, Brad and Xander have been true Pro's. Great communication leading up to appointment, honest about the options after assessment, and all around nice individuals. Mostly recently Brad came over to deal with a clog I was unable to resolve myself, and in the course of helping with that he noticed my water storage tank was on the brink of failure. I never would have uncovered this on my own until it was too late, and it saved us from a much more serious / costly issue. I tried other plumbers before finding these guys, the difference isn't even close -- this is your crew!
4 months agoFor the past five years, we’ve relied on Escape for everything from pipe replacements to installing water heaters and softeners. We are consistently impressed with the quality of their work and the final results. They provide clear, upfront pricing for all parts and labor, and their communication is excellent throughout every project. It’s a great feeling to have a team we can fully trust. I recommend the team at Escape for any of their full range of services.
3 months agoFirst time using Escape Plumbing. Eric and Ephrem did an outstanding job replacing and installing our refrigerator water line. They were prompt, professional, and took the time to inspect the full system before making honest recommendations — no unnecessary upselling. While here, reviewed and fixed leaks and change water filter that we couldn’t budge! Knowledgeable, fairly priced, and great to work with. Learned a lot. Escape Plumbing will definitely be our go-to plumber. Highly recommend!
4 weeks agoDan's Discount Rooter
251 Litchfield Rd, Watertown, CT 06795, USA
(860) 274-1025Called Dan about a blocked sewer line and had a return call within 10 minutes and he was at my house within an hour. Great guy , friendly knew what he was doing and he does like dogs. He told me what to do and what not to do to avoid any more blockage. His rates were very reasonable and he even offered a senior discount. I would highly recommend Dan for any rooter work you may need and I would definitely call him again if needed.
3 months agoI highly recommend Dan! Called him yesterday evening about some sink drain issues. He showed up the next morning on time, very professional and personable. Didn't try to upsell me on work that I didn't need. Cleared out the drains quickly. His pricing is very affordable and more than competitive. He is also very dog friendly and ended up playing with my dog for a bit. Call dan for any drainage issues.
10 months agoHad an issue this morning with a clogged line and toilet backing up. I called Dan and he immediately returned my call, let me know that he had a cancellation and he would be here shortly. He showed up within 30 minutes or so and checked out the situation and immediately went to work. He explained everything that he was doing, everything that he found and what we should expect when he’s done. He was extremely professional, had a great time chatting with him while he was working. I would highly recommend him to anyone having issues with clogged drains. I will definitely use him for any future issues we may have. Thank you very much Dan.
4 years agoDrainworks Plumbing & Septic
22 Swicklas Ct #3, Plymouth, CT 06782, USA
(860) 248-6262I had to have pipes replaced and rerouted in my basement, through my stone foundation, and up through my yard to the main line. The team seemed very professional, experienced, and competent. The process with permitting was all super easy, too. They were focused the entire time and everything went smooth with them finishing in two days (we were hooked up day one - day two was mostly lawn finishing). So far so good! It was a big job and a bit pricey, but I feel comfortable about the work they did so happy to pay a little extra for the peace of mind. I would definitely go with them again.
3 weeks agoAfter having work done in my yard and having the tree removal people drive over my septic tank and Lichfields I hired this company to do an inspection. Everyone I dealt with were highly professional and extremely helpful and kind. My technician Alex was very thorough. explained everything to me, walked me through the process and told me what I needed to know about what he was doing answered any questions that I had again extremely professional I spoke with Mariah in the office, very kind, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. Also, I would highly recommend this company to anybody who might need services like this, and I will definitely turn to them for any problems I may have in the future. I felt that they genuinely had my back
2 months agoI’m honestly mind-blown at the integrity and professionalism of Drainworks! I have used this company for my well, septic, and plumbing needs for the past five years. They have never disappointed! Every employee from the office, to the managers, to the onsite workers, have always had the utmost professionalism, friendliest dispositions, and most incredible work ethic that I have not witnessed or experienced in a long time. If you are looking for a well rounded plumbing company that you can trust and work with, then Drainworks should be your go to company! I would give them 10 stars if I could! A BIG shoutout to Abraham, Brandon, Tyler, and Adam for completing a new water well system, the pump and a new complete well pipe line in less than a full day. They are even coming back in the spring to rake, seed, and hay the excavated area! They were all amazing from their work ethic to their knowledge to their attention to detail and cleanliness and their friendliness. Nicole in the office has been incredibly helpful and kind as well! Another HUGE bonus was the incredible service and care that I have gotten from Abraham over these past five years! He has always gone above and beyond the call of duty because he genuinely cares. I even contacted him on the weekend on his personal cell phone to help me with a water emergency. There should be more caring and helpful people like him in the service industry. Kudos to Drainworks for hiring him and having an AMAZING team of employees! Just WOW!!🤯
5 months agoCall The Bee Heating, Cooling, Plumbing, & Electrical
7 Eastview Dr, Farmington, CT 06032, USA
(203) 571-4442Huge shoutout to TMS Total Mechanical Systems and their incredible team Steve, Connor, and Earl! They came out and absolutely crushed it replacing our water tank and digging a massive 15–20 foot trench. From start to finish, they were beyond professional, hardworking, and clearly knew their craft inside and out. It’s rare to come across a crew with this level of expertise they were a true wealth of knowledge and took the time to do everything right. What really stood out was how accommodating they were. We asked that they avoid driving the bobcat over our front lawn because of our septic tank, and they had no problem adjusting their approach to make it work. That level of care and respect for our property meant a lot. Thank you all for your tireless effort and top-notch work, it’s seriously appreciated. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to recommend Steve and Conor to anyone looking for reliable, skilled, and genuinely great people. Enjoy the photos!
1 month agoJosh G, Justin H, and Muhammad did an excellent job replacing and installing not one, but TWO boilers in one day. They confirmed an answer to every question I had pertaining to both of my systems. They were very professional and would highly recommend, 100% would request them for HVAC installations. Clean, professional and personable. These men and Call The Bee are the right choice.
4 months agoWe had an excellent experience with this plumber (Romano). He repaired our sink and kitchen faucet quickly and professionally, and he truly went above and beyond throughout the entire process. He was knowledgeable, courteous, thorough, and made sure everything was working perfectly before leaving. What really stood out was that he even took the extra time to make sure all of my available discounts were properly applied on the website, which I truly appreciated. It’s rare to find someone who not only does quality work but also genuinely cares about helping the customer save money and have a smooth experience. Highly recommend his services to anyone looking for honest, reliable, and exceptional plumbing work!
1 month agoMascetti's Plumbing Sewer and Drain
30 Marvin St, Torrington, CT 06790, USA
(860) 482-1592I had called them for what I thought was a plumbing issue and had to cancel. Turns out I had excessive water coming into my basement from underground from all the snow we got hit hard with..but let me tell you something...the two young men who are brothers came to my home so respectful and Kool ..even tho I ended up not needing their services at the moment...just the fact that they responded even after I had cancelled and assured me that these types of things happen and were understanding...I'd call this company again . Thank you and I will call again🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
3 months agoI cannot say enough good things about Mascetti's Plumbing. My mother experienced an emergency situation in her home with a leak where we couldn’t identify the source. She lives alone and I was trying to help from out of state. Not only did Mascetti’s respond promptly (on a holiday when their competitors were closed) but they went above and beyond and completed cabinetry repairs caused by the leak (completely out of their normal scope, but they knew my mom was in need). They kept in contact with me during the entire process, and acted with such knowledge and professionalism that is hard to put into words. I cannot recommend them enough for any number of home service and plumbing needs!!
4 months agoI called them to replace a float switch. They showed up and gave me a ballpark figure of $675. After rescheduling once, they showed up without even letting me know when they'd be here. They proceeded to take apart the sewage tank in my basement getting sewage spilling everywhere. I was then told the whole pump needs to be replaced, at a cost over $2000! After that they just left. I spent the last two hour cleaning and drying my basement from all of the sewage they left behind. I'm beyond disappointed. They charged me $300 to be here for one hour and did nothing but take a couple of bolts off of the tank, which they didn't even put back on. Please stay away from this company!!! The picture shows how much sewage I had to vacuum myself, cleaning up after they left.

2 months agoRandy came out into the Great job. This is the second time he's been here when we called Cornwell. I was glad to see that it was him when he showed up. The service is worth the price but the price of Plumbing has definitely gone up. LOL. I would definitely call them again despite the cost, good service is worth the money.
5 months agoRandy and Shane did a great job installing our water tank. We,’ve never been disappointed with Cornwall Plumbing and Heating and highly recommend.
8 months agoNew England Service Co
37 Northwest Dr, Plainville, CT 06062, USA
(860) 747-1665Chris from New England Service Company was fantastic. He took his time explaining the plumbing issue and the needed repair. He was very professional and completed the work quickly and neatly. He was also able to provide quotes on some more complex work but did not pressure us to sign up for the repair immediately. We have used several plumbers over the years and Chris is by far the best.
6 years ago5/31/19 - I used New England Service Company again. This time to install 3 faucets in the main and master bathrooms. Again, Dale did a fantastic job. I really like this company because they communicate with you. They called me a few days before my appointment to let me know they would be at my house a little later than expected. I also recieved a call from the Dale as well regarding the time he would at my house. Excellent customer service. I highly recommend New England Service Company. 3/24/19 - New England Service Company is a great company to work with. I accidently put a nail through a water pipe in my laundry room on Sunday 3/24/19. The company returned my call quickly. Dale came out took a look at the damaged pipe and explained to me what needed to be done. He was very personable and repaired the cracked pipe quickly and there was no mess. If you need a plumber I highly recommend the New England Service Company / Dale.

6 years agoProfessional Drain Cleaning in Torrington, Connecticut
Torrington’s unique blend of historic architecture near the downtown district and modern residential developments along the outskirts means that plumbing needs are incredibly diverse. Whether you are dealing with a slow-moving kitchen sink in a classic New England colonial or a major sewer backup near the Naugatuck River, you need a solution that works fast without the hassle of a long waitlist.
Finding a reliable plumber in Litchfield County can often feel like a full-time job. That’s why we’ve revolutionized how Torrington residents find help. Instead of you spending your afternoon calling through a list of 13 different businesses, we scan our network of certified local professionals and filter them specifically for your zip code.
Our team takes the extra step that others won't: we actually pick up the phone to confirm a plumber can solve your specific drain issue today. We verify their 24-hour availability before you ever pick up the phone, ensuring you get a vetted pro who is ready to head to your Torrington home immediately.
Common Drain Issues in Torrington, Connecticut
Tree Root Intrusion: With Torrington’s beautiful, mature tree canopy, roots frequently find their way into older clay sewer lines common in the area, causing persistent and messy backups.
Historic Pipe Corrosion: Many homes near the center of town feature aging cast iron or galvanized pipes that are prone to internal scale buildup, which catches debris and leads to frequent slow drains.
Hard Water Mineral Deposits: Litchfield County often deals with mineral-rich water. Over time, calcium and magnesium can build up inside your pipes, narrowing the passage and making it easier for clogs to form.
Basement Floor Drain Clogs: Given the local topography and high water table in certain parts of the Naugatuck Valley, basement floor drains can become neglected and clogged, leading to flooding risks during heavy Connecticut rainstorms.
Seasonal Drain Maintenance Tips for Torrington, Connecticut
Fall Leaf Management: Before the first Litchfield County snow, ensure your outdoor area drains and gutters are clear; decaying leaves can easily wash into and clog exterior drainage pipes.
Winter Freeze Prevention: During harsh Torrington winters, keep your indoor drains flowing by maintaining a consistent home temperature to prevent grease and soap scum from hardening in cold pipes.
Spring Thaw Preparation: As the snow melts into the valley, check your basement sump pump and floor drains to ensure they are clear and capable of handling the seasonal runoff.
Summer Garbage Disposal Care: With more local produce and summer cookouts, be careful not to overload your disposal with fibrous corn husks or grease, which are leading causes of summer kitchen clogs.
Average Drain Cleaning Costs in Torrington, Connecticut
Standard drain cleaning in Torrington typically ranges based on the severity of the blockage, the technology required (such as motorized snaking versus hydro-jetting), and whether the service is performed during standard business hours or as an emergency 24-hour call.
Frequently Asked Questions about Drain Cleaning in Torrington, Connecticut
How quickly can I get a plumber to my Torrington home?
Because we filter our network by your specific zip code and call to verify current availability, we can often find a technician who can arrive the same day, even during peak winter or storm seasons.
Do you service all neighborhoods in Torrington?
Yes, our verification service covers the entire Torrington area, from the downtown historic district to the more rural outskirts of Litchfield County, ensuring we find a pro who is truly local to you.
What is the most common cause of clogged drains in Torrington?
In Torrington's older homes, tree root intrusion and pipe scale are the most common culprits. In newer builds, we often see clogs caused by 'flushable' wipes and kitchen grease buildup.
Are the plumbers in your network licensed for Connecticut?
Absolutely. We only scan and verify certified plumbers who are licensed to operate in the state of Connecticut and are familiar with Torrington’s local building codes.
How do I know if I need a simple snake or hydro-jetting?
A simple snake is usually enough for hair or soap clogs. However, for Torrington homes with heavy root intrusion or significant grease buildup, we can connect you with a pro who offers hydro-jetting for a deeper clean.
