Competitive Plumbing & Heating
16 Springer Rd, Hooksett, NH 03106, USA
(603) 782-7329I honestly cannot say enough good things about Competitive Plumbing and Heating and the owner Marc. We were facing every homeowners nightmare, a clogged sewer line at the septic tank, on a holiday weekend and with guests at the house. The sewer had backup into all the tubs. We tried everything ourselves to clear it, our drain auger was not long enough and none of the usual assortment of chemicals made a dent. We had never needed the services of a plumber before so we were blindly searching online and make desperate call after desperate call. None of the plumbers who advertised themselves as “24 hour” returned any of our calls. Then after reading the credible reviews for Competitive we made one last attempt of trying to find someone. Marc himself answered the phone, he was polite, friendly, professional and even agreed to leave his family event to help us late at night. He showed up even earlier than promised, diagnosed the issue perfectly, resolved the clog and left the house even cleaner than he found it. And for a very reasonable prices, especially given that it was late on a Sunday night. I would not hesitate to recommend Marc and Competitive Plumbing for any of your plumbing needs. Josh
3 months agoAmazing service! We had a leak in our main water service line from the street that needed urgent repair. Marc on the phone coordinated with our water works company to have the water shut off. Kevin arrived promptly, identified the issue, located the leak and had it quickly resolved. We are so appreciative of his kindness, attentiveness and ability to explain everything he was doing to us. You can tell he knows what he is doing and cares about his craft. We won’t hesitate to call again for anything plumbing/heating related, very happy we called Competitive Plumbing and Heating!
4 months agoI shopped around with multiple plumbing companies before finally going with Competitive Plumbing and I’m so glad I did. They were on time, super communicative, and it was refreshing to actually talk to a real person right away. Kevin was our service plumber. Incredible guy. Honest, down-to-earth, family guy and clearly takes pride in his work. Mark’s a straight shooter too. You’ve officially got a customer for life. They might not be the first name that pops up on Google, but trust me , they’re worth the call. Thank you!
8 months agoRooter-Man of Southern New Hampshire
170 Lowell St, Manchester, NH 03104, USA
(603) 600-4152I had a shower drain that has been slow for a few years and finally became extreme. Joe from Rooter-Man knew just what the problem was and cleared 70 years of cast iron scale in a matter of minutes. The price was exactly what he quoted. Very professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. Would definitely recommend!
3 months agoRooterMan was prompt, knowledgeable and fixed our kitchen drain clog issue efficiently and at a good price. Chris was our plumber. He was informative and gave useful information on maintenance to ensure it stays clear for a good while. I would definitely recommend them for your plumbing needs.
4 months agoWe had a blockage, called 2 local plumbers and never got a call back so we called rooter man and they had Joe here within 2 hours. He was very knowledgeable, explained everything he was doing and resolved our issue fast. Definitely recommend them for all your plumbing needs!
5 months agoLHR Plumbing, Heating & AC Repair
388 Stark Ln, Manchester, NH 03102, USA
(603) 541-7906Julien from LHR Plumbing did an outstanding job. He was polite, asked the right questions, and got straight to work. I appreciated that he allowed me to stay and observe — I enjoy learning, and he was completely comfortable explaining what he was doing. He cleared the clog completely and flushed the line with Talon drain opener to ensure any remaining buildup was removed — it’s now running clear. Something that thoroughly impressed me was that while he was reassembling the pipes, the J-bend wouldn’t secure properly and kept popping off. He checked for a replacement but didn’t have one on hand. Instead of giving up or leaving to get another part, he assessed the situation, switched the J-pipes, secured everything properly, and solved the problem on the spot. That kind of calm problem-solving and resourcefulness is exactly what you hope for when hiring a professional. The clog is gone, everything is secure, and the job was completed thoroughly. I would confidently hire LHR Plumbing again.
3 months agoI had a plumbing repair done, which I booked in response to a promotional text they sent me for 10% off plumbing repairs for their 10th anniversary. Despite that, I had to ask twice for the discount to appear on the bill, including at checkout. My bill was fully consolidated. No breakdown of charges. The workflow had high potential for waste. Two technicians came in and assessed the drain. They then left and said someone would call me with the options. The technicians then sat in truck for an half hour or so until I talked to a woman on the phone. After I gave a verbal approval on the phone, the technicians had me sign for the amount on a tablet. Then they went back to the office to get parts. Then they came back to do the work. So did I pay for two plumbers to sit in my driveway and drive town around for parts? I don’t know because bill is not itemized. But I think so. Very inefficient workflow. Very vague estimating and billing practices. Very aggressive marketing.
5 months agoAfter a 2 week wait for service, First kid out, Matt stood in my kitchen while I was baking running his hands thru his long hair and continuing to talk about how he was new to the company and complaining about how he had to fill in forms on his phone to send to the company. Left a rocking toilet within a week called again had to wait 5 days second kid out I beleive you spell it Jillian he knew what he was doing fixed the problem with in 30 mins once he had supplies. I think price was high as I checked toilet prices at HD cheaper. Also not asked by first person if I wanted a standard toilet or a high set. Also I beleive if you do not sign up with this company and pay a fee to be something of a preferred customer that's why you wait so long but if you pay like a retaining fee they put you first in line and give 10 percent discounts.

(603) 497-4500Jimmy was on time, courteous, and explained what he was doing. I had my kitchen sink water backing up into my bathtub and my bathtub having serious clogging issues as well. He also noticed I had some plumbing issues that were not installed properly and will need to be taken care of in the future. Thank you for the help and a great job!
4 months agoScott and his team did an amazing job over two days to install a standby generator and a mini-split. I'm thoroughly satisfied with the work that they did. I would highly recommend Sanford for anyone looking to get similar work done.

4 months agoMr. Rooter Plumbing of Greater New Hampshire
7 Tallwood Dr STE 3, Bow, NH 03304, USA
(603) 664-3451Hands down the best service we’ve experienced! From the first call, we felt confident we were in good hands. Kareem was incredibly knowledgeable, honest, and patient, taking the time to explain every option and help us understand the root of the issue instead of just pushing a quick fix. That level of care and transparency is rare which we unfortunately found out the hard way. We’re so glad we reached out and will definitely be using this company for all of our home needs moving forward. Highly recommend — you’re reading this so just give them a call now!!
4 months agoThe guy that did the job on my toilet replaced was very friendly, knowledgeable and really cared about doing a good job! He worked hard, did a great job and cleaned up nicely! I called in the morning because my toilet was leaking into the basement and wanted to get this done ASAP! They were very friendly on the phone and said between 12:00-4:00pm he would be there and he came at 11:30 Which was great 👍! Thank you for the great service!
8 months agoExcellent service! Technician was here within 2 hours of initial call. Contacted us before coming so he could be sure he had all the parts he would need. The day was cold, windy and snowing at times but Sahwn and Eric never complained. Will definitely call them again!
6 months agoTruly Blessed Plumbing & Heating
7A Putney Rd, Bow, NH 03304, USA
(603) 496-3408Truly Blessed Plumbing has earned my full trust. Prince has helped with several plumbing issues in my home — from the kitchen to the bathroom and powder room — and every experience has been excellent. He’s responsive, kind, and incredibly professional. What I appreciate most is that he never tries to upsell unnecessary services like some companies do. Truly Blessed Plumbing is now my go-to plumbing company, and I highly recommend them!
7 months agoTruly Blessed has been to my house twice for separate plumbing services. I have an old-ish house with the usual 1970s pipe issues. Both visits they have done a professional, proper, and timely job. They have been available when I had an emergency and cost- and mess-conscious. The owner, Prince, is an efficient and pragmatic individual who is also a very nice person. I have not had any new work done by Truly Blessed to review, only repair/emergency work. I highly recommend them for these services.
6 months agoTruly blessed plumbing and heating is a Godsent! Our water heater had broken down for a few months and while I was driving coming from work and there was the van in front of me. I called the number and they got back to me very quickly! Great great company. This is the best company ever, the tech/Prince was so kind and friendly. He did such an awesome job, fast service replacing my water heater for a great price. This company made me and my family very very happy with the service that he did for us. I will definitely use them in the future😊 because of such a great job that Prince did. As of now they are the ones we’re going to for Plumbing And Heating. Thank you, thank you, thank you! God bless!
7 months agoLHR Plumbing Heating Cooling and Electric
326 Lincoln St, Manchester, NH 03103, USA
(603) 255-5890Great to get an appointment the following day. Considering Julian was here for over 3 hours very reasonable cost. He thoroughly checked drains were working properly and even fixed the slope on the existing pipe in the basement. I had called for sinks backing up and slow drains we decided to replace under kitchen sink and they definitely needed it. Happy now & would definitely recommend. LHR
3 months agoThe technicians who came to our home were polite, respectful, and thorough. They did a good job identifying the issue — deteriorated tub caulking and a corroded pipe — and addressed the plumbing concern. However, the caulking work itself was not done neatly. The lines are uneven and the finish does not reflect professional quality. Because of this, I am disappointed with that portion of the service. I am hopeful the company will stand behind its work and correct the caulking so it reflects the level of quality I expected when hiring professionals. Feb. 24. 2026 After my original review, LHR contacted me and followed through on their promise to redo the caulking. The technicians were pleasant, professional, and clearly committed to resolving the issue. I truly appreciate a company that stands behind its work and takes concerns seriously. Their follow-through and professionalism are why I am updating this to five stars. I would not hesitate to use them again.
3 months agoDear LHR Team, I wanted to express my sincere appreciation for the service provided during the installation of my Rheem water heater. Mike was extremely professional, courteous, and clearly very skilled. He and his assistant were both polite, respectful, and a pleasure to have in my home. Their workmanship and attitude truly reflected a high standard of customer service. I would also like to share a small concern regarding the payment process. While I understand that situations can vary, my interaction with management was not as smooth as the excellent service provided by your technicians. That said, aside from this minor glitch, my overall experience has been good. Please extend my gratitude to Mike and his assistant for their excellent service. Sincerely, Tom Maple
3 months agoBill Trombly Plumbing - Heating - Cooling - Electric
201 Allard Dr, Manchester, NH 03102, USA
(603) 669-5713Have had multiple projects done but recently have been finding issues, like the baseboard piping rammed through a closet wall instead of being drilled out and a lot of pex tubing clips that were hammered in too hard and have cracked and broken leaving sagging lines. Dripping condensation from the mini split line in different spots because of insulation missing. A water filtration system directly connected to the sewer with out an airgap. There was an airgap but the pressure of toilets flushing was causing water to come out. They fixed it by sealing it up. I am terrified on what my family and I have been drinking…
3 years agoI wish I could give negative number of stars. I am complaining to the state of new Hampshire. Recently I had an issue with the pressure relief valve installed on my well pressure tank. It started to leak. I called for an appointment and was told that the fee for the visit was $120 before any work was done. The next day Jim arrived in the mid-afternoon. I showed him the tank, pressure switch and relief valve. He worked on a tablet pc for a minute and then told me it would cost $500 just to diagnose the issue. That was in addition to the $120 for showing up. I knew the issue. The possible problems were the tank, switch and valve. I told him there was no way I would pay $500 for diagnosis. Out of curiosity I asked how much to replace all the parts, Tank, Tee, Switch, Pressure relief valve, and pressure gauge. He came back with a price of $5001.00. I was incredulous. I knew that all the parts were under $600. I was expecting an estimate of $1000. I said no way and paid him the $120 for showing up. I went to F.W Webb, purchased all the parts for $550, and did the job in three hours. Both the cost to diagnose and replace the components were criminally high. There is now way that can be justified. Never do business with Bill Trombly \ Sanford. Especially if you are not knowledgeable about the systems you need help with
10 months agoIt’s worth it to pay just a little more and know it work is DONE RIGHT the first time. No cheap Home Depot parts either.

10 months agoProfessional Drain Cleaning in Concord, New Hampshire
Concord homeowners understand that a clogged drain can happen at the worst times—whether you're busy working near the State House or relaxing at home in the West End. Finding a plumber who is actually available today in the Merrimack Valley can be a frustrating game of phone tag. That’s where we come in. Our unique service takes the guesswork out of emergency plumbing by scanning our verified local network and confirming a pro's availability before you ever pick up the phone.
We don't just give you a list of names; we actively filter by your exact Concord zip code and personally call technicians to ensure they can handle your specific drain issue right now. From the historic homes near White Park to the newer developments on the Heights, we provide a streamlined connection to the most reliable drain cleaning experts in New Hampshire’s capital city.
Common Drain Issues in Concord, New Hampshire
Historic Home Pipe Aging: Many homes in the downtown Concord area and the West End feature older cast iron or clay pipes. Over time, these materials corrode or accumulate heavy scale buildup, leading to slow drains that require professional descaling or hydro-jetting to restore flow.
Tree Root Intrusion: With Concord's beautiful canopy of mature maples and oaks, tree root intrusion is a major cause of sewer line backups. Roots seek out the moisture in underground lines, creating stubborn blockages that basic retail snakes simply cannot clear.
Hard Water Mineral Buildup: The water profile in the Merrimack Valley can lead to mineral deposits within your plumbing. This hard water creates a crusty buildup inside pipes, narrowing the passage and making it easier for soap scum, hair, and kitchen grease to cause a complete blockage.
Basement Floor Drain Backups: Given the high water table in parts of New Hampshire and our heavy seasonal rains, Concord basements are prone to floor drain issues. When these drains clog, it can lead to immediate flooding and water damage during the next big New England storm.
Seasonal Drain Maintenance Tips for Concord, New Hampshire
Spring Thaw Prep: As the snow melts into the Merrimack River, ensure your outdoor area drains and gutters are clear. Heavy runoff can overwhelm your perimeter drains, leading to basement backups if your lines aren't flowing freely.
Summer Guest Stress: With summer tourism and family gatherings, your kitchen disposal and bathroom drains work overtime. Avoid putting fibrous vegetables or heavy grease down the sink to prevent mid-summer backups during your backyard BBQ.
Fall Leaf Management: Before the first New Hampshire frost, clear your area drains and driveway grates of fallen leaves. Debris left in outdoor drains can freeze and expand, causing pipe bursts or stubborn ice-blockages that are impossible to clear in mid-winter.
Winter Pipe Protection: In Concord's sub-zero temperatures, even a small clog can cause a pipe to freeze more easily. Ensure your pipes are clear and well-insulated, especially those near exterior walls, to maintain flow throughout the long NH winter.
Average Drain Cleaning Costs in Concord, New Hampshire
Pricing in Concord typically ranges from $175 for basic drain snaking to $550 for advanced hydro-jetting or main sewer line clearing. Costs depend on the severity of the clog and the time of service.
